Leafy Landscapes in New Smyrna Beach

Old review - Shows up on time. Communicates well. Great service. Update - All I want from my landscaper is for them to cut my lawn when its needed. Because Leafy Landscapes has mostly lived up to this, I have overlooked things like the many plants they have killed, accidental miss-cuts where they missed half of my backyard, etc. In the past, they responded well to any directions and would fix any issues. Until recently. For the last six months to a year, the communication has started falling through and a policy change makes it impossible for me to recommend them. For the last few years, their website has allowed me to submit a ticket to delay service if I had certain landscaping projects or I didnt need a mow. Around November - January, because of the lack of rain, I very rarely need a mow. It has been this way since I started using them. Its the nature of lawncare in Florida. When I first hired them, they would come to the door and tell me if they didnt think my lawn needed a cut. Not that Ive relied upon them to tell me, but this is a good example as to how good their customer service was and how far they have fallen. Heres an explanation of the new policy change. Starting Jan 1st 2025 we are no longer allowing skips with no charge. Meaning if you want to stay in your slot on our schedule then each scheduled service must be paid for, you can skip an actual physical service if you want but you will still receive a charge. I received this information in response while communication with Leafy Landscaping due to the ticket system now being nonexistent. In other words, to remain with them I will have to pay for four to six mows a year that arent needed. Thats a minimum of $250 just to stay in my slot. Furthermore, if I cancel service and try to return, it was made painfully clear. We are not allowing clients to pause or skip entire months either. If a client wants to pause service the account is canceled and when the client wants to restart the account there is an initial service done at $145/hr prorated to the minute. So despite using them for more than five years, if I cancel and return to use them Ill have to pay for the initial service fee as a penalty. Any reason for me to chose them over the countless other landscaping services in the area is long gone. My recommendation? Run.

It took a little while to get things up to speed but overall, the service gets the job done, so I do not have to.

From the communication with the office, to the work being done at my home, it was beyond my expectations. The guys are knowledgeable, respectful and hard workers. I highly recommend leafy landscape.

Very unprofessional

This is a very unprofessional company. The owner/employees are using company vehicles to do donuts at 6am and disturbing all of the neighbors in their community. They have been asked nicely to stop several times. They have responded by cussing out their neighbors and continuing to do donuts every morning, disturbing families with sleeping children. This is not a company I would give my business to! See attached photo with proof.

Everything grows a lot quicker here than it did than where we used to live.. We like to trim the bushes just about every other week. When we know we are going to be away, we will call and ask for the trimming to be done and it is scheduled within days. Jeremy will call us when he at the house and asks if there is anything extra we need done. We are never disappointed when we get back home. It is a good thing that we are very satisfied with the service Leafy Landscapes and Lawn Care provides. Our grandson loves the name and really looks forward to when the trucks pull up in front of the house.

Not only did someone answer the phone on my first call, they listened to my concerns and scheduled an appointment. The workers called me when they were on the way to my house and they showed up on time. What a concept! The workers were professional and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure that everything was working as desired. I was charged according to the rate that I was quoted on the phone.

The irrigation team is top notch !! Theyre very meticulous and did a marvelous job getting my sprinkler system back up and running. I cant say enough about their wonderful work!!

Talked to the office and set up service for the next day. I never questioned their price. At the end of 4/29 I called and they said we changed it to 5/2 When I asked about the lack of communication they hung up.

We just bought our house here in Palm Coast. The wife and I looked around our property and only saw about half dozen sprinklers and nothing worked. Robert was our technician, and by the time he was finished fixing and repairing our system we found we now have over 30 sprinklers that were hidden deep in the grass! Great service and great person. I requested that he is our technician for further services. Highly recommend!

We do our own lawn, but leafy landscapes does the lawn next-door to us and they think that it s proper to blow their leaves and debris over to our yard. How can that be right? So next week when they come, I ll be out with my blower to blow the leaves back to them. That s absolutely lazy!

I loved their service. They always leave my yard looking beautiful. I have no regrets. I made my appointment and they come out every Monday to make sure my yard is taking care of. I don t have to worry if you will came or not because they always do.

We had a great experience with eafy

Tried over and over again to make it work. Informed the manager multiple times about areas they missed but kept keeping sub-par mows. The final straw was when they ran over a brand new fiber internet cable that was just installed, clearly marked with flags and set to be buried next week. Pay the extra money and have literally anyone else mow your lawn.

Irrigation services are very high quality and professionally done. Also have been able to get appointments rather quickly. However, they are very expensive for services outside of lawn care.

I am a neighbor of a property maintained by this company. I have seen them service this property more than once. They always cut onto my property for the section of grass between the sidewalk and the street and then on the property line from the sidewalk to the backyard. This makes the front look awful. I keep my lawn at a higher cut than they do, so even if I mow the same day, you can see the difference. It makes my lawn look bad because they dont know how to mow property lines all the way to the street.

We ve had Leafy do our Christmas outdoor house lights for the past two years and it s so beautifully done. Every bulb was perfectly tilted outward and tightly lined which is what you would expect. It s exactly as you hope it would be having professional lights hung. Also this is not just your local lawn service coming and quick throwing them on for like side work.. this is a very professional service and you will be pleased. They come with a literal motorized lift to reach your roof. They will come out next day if there is for some reason an issue. They also store the lights for you all year and come out right around thanksgiving to hang them. Would highly recommend

Excellent and professional company. They just did our outdoor Christmas lighting and did a beautiful job. This is the second job they have done for us and it too was done to perfection. They are wonderful and reliable to work with.

Jenna was very polite and friendly when answering the phone. She came the next morning for our estimate and proceeded with the estimate one day later. Scheduling for installation was delayed by weather but she kept us posted with a text/phone call. Installation went quickly and our home is now magical at night. We have had many positive reviews from the neighbors. We love our lights especially since we don t have put up-take down-and store. Perfect solution!! Thank you for making our home the pride of the neighborhood.

This is the second year we have used Leafy Landscape. While we did have a few, very minor, issues last year, they were quickly addressed. Most importantly, all our issues had been noted last year. This year, Rob, the installer, was well aware of our previous concerns and addressed them all at the time of installation. For a very reasonable price, and all the personal attention, we recommend them highly!! My husband, who has not completed the porch lights installation yet, thinks we need more Leafy lights next year.

We are live in care givers and the person we take care of uses thess guys. We have lived with him for three months. So far Leafy has broken our water meter TWICE. Broke a window, they replaced it...run over out lights with the mower - I watched the dude do it, then he just picked it up and put it by the garage. They come at like 7 a.m. and wake us up, has pissed me off a few times. One day they came and mowed our lawn THREE times. Are they not communicating or something? Its crazy. They also cant figure out how to use a gate and instead break it further each time. I have repaired it TWICE. This company hires boneheads and turns a stupid profit. I cant convince him to change lawn care services because he is a creature of habit...but I would recommend someone else...these guys just run over everything.

I recently used Leafys Christmas lights installation. This is the third year that I have used this service, and I am very pleased with the results. We have already begun talking about plans for next years install.

I have been using Leafy Landscapes for my standard lawn care needs over the last 4 years roughly. They have always arrived as scheduled & met expectations. I ve personally never had anything to complain about with them. There was one minor instance where one of the workers was weed eating and accidentally sliced my garden hose (which I honestly should ve had rolled up better and out of the way), however the employee notified me about it immediately. He then told me to go ahead and purchase a new hose & provided an email for me to send a message to with a copy of the receipt, in which they kindly reimbursed my account for without question. I highly recommend Leafy Landscapes to anyone looking for a lawn care company who is professional, reliable & has exceptional customer service!

Travis and his team of two did an excellent job clearing the overgrown area of my backyard and left the good vegetation. They also were able to remove dead vines from most of the trees, which was a nice surprise. They worked nonstop for four hours. All the guys were pleasant and efficient. I am very pleased with the end result. It exceeds my expectation.

This was the first time using Leafy Landscapes. Two young professional guys showed up on time. They were very professional and informative of the shrubs, trees, grasses and weeds in my yard. They gave me an estimate of time to trim and make everything look great. As the time was coming to an end, they realized they needed about 15 more minutes to clean up more. They asked permission. YES, they asked permission for 15 more minutes. I will be using them on a quarterly basis, note, I have no grass just ground cover, trees and shrubs. My property looks FANTASTIC. Thank you Leafy!!!

Ive used Leafy for approximately 3 years, a record for any yard service Ive worked with. Everyone Ive dealt with in the office and the field has been good to work with - a few of their field reps will go above and beyond to make sure Im satisfied. They are good about letting me know when their crews are delayed due to whether and are responsive to my requests. I especially appreciate their only when you need it lawn mowing schedule - fewer cuttings billed on per visit basis. Ive recommended them to several people in my area. Keep up the good work Leafy!

Unfortunate but did not have a good experience with them on two accounts we offered them. Multiple issues with coordinating and pricing the initial commercial account. It changed 3 times. Then the work the guys did was mediocre and missed sections of the property multiple times. The second account the guys could never get it right. The first time they weed eated my back yard. Had to come out the next day to redo it, which was good but still did not cut the grass at the desired length. Had to drop them on one account and then the second account they dropped on me because I asked them to cut the grass lower? No notice at all. Thanks Leafy, but cannot recommend.

Leafy Lawn Care does a great job with lawn care and landscape design. They fall short in the area of after-care and weekly maintenance. If you are looking for a new landscape design, they are great! If you are looking for someone to maintain your landscape and weed control after, keep looking.

I found this company online and it sounded great, they sent me estimates and said they will be in my area Thursday or Friday and would not charge me until the lawn maintenance was completed. Well, they charged me and did not mow my lawn. As a traveling healthcare professional I m not home often and wanted to find a professional and reliable company, this is not that company.

This landscaping business is great all around. I used them to trim a tree in our front yard twice and they did a fantastic job. When hurricane Ian hit we needed yard cleanup asap. Theyll came out the next day! We dont have a contract with them but they fit us in anyway, much appreciated!

Drivers are on safe. One cut me off on I95. I honked my horn at him and had to slam on my brakes. I was traveling at 70 mph and he pulled in front of me going 30. After I passed him the driver flicked me off, then passed me and brake checked me. The driver then pulled next to me flicked me off again and then drove away at excess speeds. Not sure what kind of company would hire such a disrespectful and unsafe individual.

I had a bad experience with their services. I had my second service done and they made a hole on the wall with the mower. They get very close to the house with the lawn mower and trimmer and scratch up the wall. Also, they cut the grass super sloppy. It was left very high and uneven and when I called to complain about the service I was told that I wasn t paying enough for them to have enough time to do my lawn. I was quoted $30 per service/$120 a month over the phone, it is not my fault that they quoted me wrong. I gave my address and they gave me a quote over the phone which I agreed to. When I brought the concerns to their attention Chris Lehmann had the nerve to say that well you should be charged more anyways since your lot is twice as big and said that they would have to charge me $47 from there on out. NOT MY FAULT AT ALL. I was quoted $30 per service by your people. I was not going to pay more for a service I was not satisfied with in the first place. It wasn t until I called and complained about their mistakes that they mentioned to me that I should be charged more. We left off on the note that they would come service my lawn one last time free of charge and that he would come out and fix the hole on my wall but it has been a week now since they came to mow the lawn and the hole is still there. NO ONE EVER CAME OUT TO FIX THE HOLE on the wall. Super unprofessional! I would not recommend.

We had a great experience with Leafy. From the first call to payment things went quite smoothly. We didn t ask for lawn mowing. Rather we had a big job of pruning, weeding, transplanting, and cleanup of our property. Michael and Mark worked tirelessly and did everything we asked at a high quality level. They will now be visiting us every three months to keep things in shape. We highly recommend this company.

Called Leafy just to get an estimate. Their hourly rate was much higher than others I spoke with. Gave them a try and can tell you they are worth the price and when you consider how fast and professional they are they are worth the price. Two men, Two hours and my yard looks great.

I recently moved to New Smyrna Beach and was looking for a company to maintain my lawn.Leafy Landscapes actually answered my call, gave me a quote on the phone and started mowing my lawn the next week. They are always on schedule and do a beautiful job. I then hired them to clean my beds and trim my bushes and trees. Kiefer called me from my property and reviewed exactly what he was going to do and confirmed everything before proceeding. And I was so impressed with the results! Their billing process is simple and easy to understand and their front office staff is pleasant and easy to reach. Such a pleasure! I highly recommend their services to anyone!

Absolutely love this company. Recently had my hips replaced and was really struggling to keep up with my property. I was concerned when every cut I got quoted was close to 40-50 a cut, and of course a crazy run-a-round negotiating down from that over the top price. Leafy came in affordable, with some really amazing quality for my property size. Id recommend them to anyone in the area, the payment system is automated, the employees are amazingly respectful, and the quality is top tier. If you are on the fence Id give them a try, more than likely you wont cancel.

Leafy Landscape takes care of my Lawn mowing, tree trimming & pruning. They are professional, friendly, reasonably priced, do an excellent job in a timely manner.

I was very pleased with the 3 men who took care of my spring start up. They were very respectful and did just what I tneeded to have done.

The company quoted us 65 dollars per hour. They sent 2 people to do the job. BUYER BEWARE the price is per person. Thank God they didnt send three people. Two people for 3 hours and our bill was 464 dollars. How does this add up. The company is a scam and a rip off. Never again. I should have known when they required a credit card number up front. You got me once but I will tell everyone I know about your ethics and business practices.

My wife and I have used Leafy for a redesign of our front yard a few years a go and the work was amazing. They are not the cheapest but they pay attention to details and you can trust them to do a great job. Lawn guys can get pretty negative and turn rude fast but these guys are patient and they work hard. They do charge $65 per person per hour for detail work and we recently used the 2 man crew of Jeremy and Ryan to come out and do some detail work. We know it isnt the cheapest job around but you can tell the guys care about what theyre doing and they take pride in the job they do. Plus you cant put a price on positivity. We are looking forward to our quarterly detail jobs so we can keep our beautiful property at RESORT status.

We have used Leafy Landscapes for several years and they are the best in town! Their landscape design is beautiful and they are always on time, friendly and professional!

I will never pay by the hour again as I did with Leafy Landscapes. I had a three man crew the first day at $225 an hour. The next day there were 2 men for four hours at 150. The men that worked on the back did a good job, the man in front wasted a lot of time and DID NOT follow my directions. Very frustrating.

SEPT 3, 2020 UPDATE FROM BELOW: Leafy Landscapes came out to give our front yard a facelift, and what an awesome job these gentlemen did! They took care of removing large overgrown shrubs in front of our house with an excavator, Rob redesigned the yard using a video demonstration which looked outstanding, the crew laid new bordering, expanding the beds, replaced all soil and added landscape rock, and added several palms, small shrubs, and several items of color that were mostly maintenance-free at our request. Some landscape companies will take what you request and twist them to convince you to use certain plants that turn more of a profit for them, but not Leafy Landscapes. Theyll work with your request and do everything to make it happen, offering some expert guidance along the way, but not hard-selling toward something else. What I like most is that Rob and his crew are expert at landscape and landscape design and have been involved in horticulture for many years, so they know what works and doesnt work in a central Florida landscape. Tremendous job - We would highly recommend! ***** (ORIGINAL REVIEW) - Excellent work by both gentlemen here doing major trimming of shrubs and palms. This company doesnt just send someone with just some expensive shears and a truck. Unlike those from other companies, they come armed with knowledge of horticulture and landscaping to where you can always trust the way they do their work and can trust their opinions on what to have done with the landscape to make it thrive. From the 1st phone call to the completion of the messy job I needed done Leafy Landscapes was refreshingly professional, friendly, thorough, timely, precise, thoughtful and couldnt have made a big messy job more pleasant. Leafy Landscapes offers professional lawncare, they are reliable they are here when they say they are going to be here, they listen and try to accommodate your wants and needs as far a length of grass and trimming but each crew they send out can be different so you need to make sure to talk to them when they come if there are specific concerns regarding your lawn.

Of all the lawn mowing service I tried to call in Daytona Beach, they are the one that are very responsive (in fact the only one that picks up their call). I needed my lawn to be mowed ASAP and they scheduled me straight away for the next day. Next day they showed up, very professional and clean job and they even have an online portal, contactless payment etc that makes every process to get your own lawn maintenance guys easy! Definitely recommend.

Jenna & Co. are exceptional. I called when my landscaper just stopped coming and I was out of town and didnt know. They came quickly and charged very reasonable intro rates to get us back to normal and came reliably (as weather allows) when they said they would be there. I added more services the longer I had them on board because they are so good. There are choices in Daytona for landscaping but I can recommend no firm more highly to you.

Everything from meeting with Rob and working with Jenna for scheduling getting ideas on plants and layouts their knowledge of plants is very extensive and help you plant things that will go well with your soil .. sun location.. even the amount of water you get . When a few of the big plants didn t make it and died they came back and replace them free of charge ! No hassle!! The detail crew I can t say enough about!! Starting to get my house and yard back in shape. Leafy was recommended by another customer. I need someone to deal with the weeds and cutting shrubbery not just grass care. The team for cleaning up the beds, cutting back the shrubbery and getting them ready for remulching came yesterday. They trimmed the low trees, cut along the property line correctly, cut the shrubs, cleaned out the weeds and cleaned the roof and gutters, ALL DEBRIS REMOVED! Have been awesome from initial contact through current services.

This is our first experience with both the lawn cutting and the trimming services, each of which are separate entities and fees. However, BOTH had done an excellent job for the first time. ( These services are a bit more pricey than most, but worth it if the customer service is there). This is a learning experience for them and us so we hope that, after having gone through 5 other services in 6.5 years due to broken promises, no shows, damage to property and billing for non performed services, that we have FINALLY found a provider that we can rely on and trust. Called to discuss getting an estimate and was told that they are only taking on jobs of 4000 dollars or more and there is an 85 dollar consultation fee to have someone come to give an estimate.

When I first hired them 2 years ago they did a good job; however, the last 5 months have been terrible. I have been gone and I was sent pictures of my landscaping by a friend and it looks as if they have not been there the whole time I was gone. It is overgrown with weeds and bushes have weeds growing out of them. I called and was told the manager would stop by and call me when he was looking over my property. However, I never got that call and now they do not answer my calls. I guess court is my only resort for getting back pay. Do not let them take pay automatically from your account. You have no recourse.

My rental property was 1 hour away from where I live and I travel for business. I called Jenna on a Friday and my first service call was on Monday, they did a great job. I first asked Rob and Leafy Landscaping to fix issues with my back yard. They did such a great job the following year I had them redesign the front and side yard. Now my whole yard is wonderful!

I hired Rob of Leafy Landscapes to redesign/replant the areas in front of my garages. He was responsive with the bid, came in with a competitive price and performed the work as described. He subcontracted out the masonry for a low stone wall that surrounds the areas. The mason on site was fastidious in his work and it took several weeks for him to build the stacked stone appearing wall in front of one of the garages. (It is a natural stone veneer on cinder block) The other side was built in a different manner - no stacked stone appearance - it was much faster but not what I had requested. The owner of the masonry company came out to the job site and said that he underbid the job and then asked me for an additional $750 dollars. I do not believe that Rob was aware and I did not tell him but this sub contractors performance and rudeness is the reason for the lower rating. One other issue - the plantings only had a 90 day warranty - and this information was not provided until after I had a plant die within the first month and I asked about the warranty. All of the local nurserys offer a 1 year warranty on their plants (Lowes, Home Depot, etc...) so I do not understand the 90 day issue. We have had 2 other Cardboard Palms die since the first and it has not been a year.

We have been using Leafy Landscapes & Lawn Care for approximately three years. Our lawn and shrubs are well-maintained, and we are extremely pleased with their service; the office employees are friendly and accommodating. Cant ask for anything more when choosing a service provider!

I have had excellent customer service with Leafy Landscapes & Lawn care. I like that they keep you updated on your service schedule. You dont have to worry if you look outside at your lawn and it has not been service. Just check your email and you will find an email from Leafy Landscapes explaining what is going on and will let you know when you lawn will be serviced. I am pleased with the service and the price fits my budget.

Leafy has been handling our landscaping needs for over 2-years now and has been doing an excellent job of keeping the grounds around our 44 buildings looking great. They cut 33 times a year and if they are going to be a day late because of the weather Jenna will e-mail and let us know when to expect them . We e-mail the day before their maintenance and let them know if there are any special requests for cutting the shrubs around our 176 units or areas that need to be addressed above and beyond their regular duties.

Had them put in a new lawn, ripped up half of my watering system and then just buried it. Not good.

Normally they do a very good job, however when they blow the leaves they go in my garage inside and i have to clean it out = please blow the opposite way.
