This was my 3rd time working with La Rocca and Sons. They are professional, prompt, licensed and their workmanship is excellent. Mr. La Rocca gives you personal service. They paved my driveway and I have also used them at our pre-school to resurface the playgroud and pour new slabs for the entrance to the school. Very satisfied and will certianly use them again.

Flood abatement measures were completed quickly, efficiently, and effectively. The LaRocca team came on-time and were extremely hard-working and diligent. They did do a phenomenal job, start to finish. Mr. LaRocca adjusted the work to properly accommodate new discoveries, such as a previously unknown highwater table, and helped keep costs down whenever possible. Highly recommend!

Over a 2-year period, Mr. La Rocca and his team have worked on a variety of projects for us ranging from installing a yard drainage system to landscaping and lawn work. Without hesitation we can say that all projects have been executed exceptionally. He and his team have always gone above and beyond; they have gone that extra mile. The drainage system he put in helped us to weather a brutal rainy flooding season without a worry. And the landscaping he has done for the property is just absolutely exquisite. La Rocca and Sons raised & reset a portion of my existing pavers to direct the pitch away from the house for water run-off. After installing new sand, existing pavers were reset in the same intricate pattern - not a one was broken or chipped. Workers arrived on time & completed the job in 2 days as promised in some VERY hot weather.

We had the bluestone on our front steps replaced. The team were nice, and they got everything done in two days. One of the existing stones got damaged during the project, but they replaced it without any fuss. Mr La Rocca even stopped by a few days later to check on the work and answer my questions. Im happy with the work and would use them again.

You should use this company. It is a pleasure to write this review. Not only did they spend a lot of time on removing the old driveway, they spent time making sure grade, drain, and compacting was all done with precision. If I had any questions they were happy to answer and quickly. When I had a concern, they walked me through it and it was a delight to have them do our very long driveway with lots of grade changes and widening of the driveway with adding parking and turnaround space. This is a family owned business and they treat you and your job as though you are their highest priority.

It was a pleasure dealing with Mr. LaRocca and his office. Communication from the proposal to the time the work was done was very efficient. Timely, professional and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Recently I was in need of drainage and masonry work on my property. I was fortunate enough to select LaRocca & Sons to do the work. I found this family-owned business to be personable, responsive, and professional. I am quite pleased with the quality of their work and have already recommended them to a friend. It is a company worth checking out if you have any kind of exterior landscaping needs.

Flavio & his team of workers were great to work with. Cathy, who coordinated communication, was particularly responsive and consistently kept us in the loop of the specifics of the progress of the jobs. They did two major jobs for us, reconfiguring and rebuilding front steps, and replacing our garage foundation, which was cracked. Another contractor who provided a bid for the garage floor, suggested covering the crack, which would be a short term fix, and only hide the problem from the next owner down the road. The construction of the steps took longer than expected, but that seems to be the norm with large projects. When we had a family medical emergency interrupt one of the jobs, they were flexible and accommodating. The team of workers - Philippe, Alberto, Juan, and Martine worked hard and left the worksite neat at the end of each day, and at the conclusion of the projects. We recommend them highly.

One of THE BEST experiences we have had with home improvement. Flavio (the owner) is professional and very pleasant to deal with. He stays involved in the project every step of the way. The workers did a fantastic job on our driveway, retaining wall and walkway. The lovely woman who handles scheduling and billing and any questions is awesome too!! Mr. LaRocca and his team reconstructed elements of our existing blue stone patio and installed an expansion to the patio that blended in seamlessly with the original masonry and stonework. Working with Flavio LaRocca and his secretary Cathy was a pleasure. They were professional and communicative. Flavio would visit the work site twice each day to keep his work team focused and informed. The work was completed on a timely basis and on budget. i would absolutely contact with F. LaRocca and Sons for any future project needs.

They did outstanding work and their price was reasonable. They were very prompt in arriving at the job site. Any unforeseen problems during the project were addressed in a professional manner. I would recommend them.

We highly recommend F. LaRocca and Sons. They recently did several projects at our property, including a new patio, and the before and after is unbelievable! The owner, Flavio, inspects the project regularly and is very responsive with any questions or concerns. The workers showed up when they were supposed to and were hardworking and respectful. The receptionist Cathy is also very communicative about any possible delays due to weather or other emergencies. The work got done in the timeframe and budget we were originally quoted. We had our large driveway completely redone. The entire team was exceptionally professional. Very easy to get an estimate and schedule. Work was done on-time. They had more than enough staff present every day to handle equipment and road traffic. They were very clean and left our property in excellent condition. And we now have a beautiful new driveway. Mr. La Rocca and his crew did high-quality work and a superb job redoing our driveway and remaking our entrance area. We converted part of our driveway to gravel and added an apron of Belgian blocks to the paved part. We also had Mr. La Roccas crew add a large area with permeable pavers in front of our entrance. Mr. La Rocca always responded quickly to any questions or requests we had and he or his team fixed any upcoming issues promptly. The project was completed on schedule and we were very satisfied with the final result!

Flavio and his crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Clear, concise and FAIR estimate; easy to reach and phone calls always returned quickly; workers always showed up on time and worked hard; questions were always answered in a clear and friendly manner and if we had last minute ideas or changes they were discussed and handled immediately. Mr. LaRocca was very attentive and on site everyday personally making sure my patio and pergola was completed on time. He was very patient as I made design changes during the project. The team was great showed up on time everyday and completed my project within the timeframe discussed. I highly recommend Flavio LaRocca & Sons.

We hired LaRocca and Sons to construct a retaining wall, shed pad and a stone wall in our back yard. I was highly satisfied with all aspects of the experience. They put a very capable team on the job, used quality materials, met the project schedule and did excellent work. Mr. LaRocca is very experienced, made good recommendations, supervised the work carefully, and made sure his crew followed the plan. The quality of the finished work is very high. We have previously used them for driveway work and they did an excellent job on that work too. If you want a truly professional job done, i recommend LaRocca and Sons.

DO NOT hire La Rocca. We had him pull up and redo our entire driveway and the first time it rained, the grates back up. I told him about the flooding and he told me that my drain pipes were clogged and I needed my plumber to come and unclog them. In 2 minutes, my plumber knew Lo Rocca never reconnected the drain pipe to the sewer pipe. With such attitude, Lo Rocca came and had to cut our newly paved driveway, left it like this (picture included) and with the worst attitude said, too bad....it was an oversight on my part, mistakes happen and you just need to live with this. This job cost us 17,000.

I cant believe people are still using LaRocca and Sons. There are so many other reputable and excellent companies all over Westchester County that dont lie, cheat and refuse to take responsibility for their own mistakes. The owner is rude and dismissive. He uses bottom of the line materials and blames any of his own shoddy outcomes on everything else but his workmanship. Less than 2 years after a brand new driveway, we have to have major work done to repair LaRoccas poor work. Its sinking, cracking and there are white spots all over the entire driveway. Use anyone else but LaRocca and Sons.

This is the second project Ive used F. La Rocca and Sons for and I couldnt be happier with the results. We had a drainage issue in our backyard. Flavio diagnosed the issue and came up with a great solution. Though the weather did not fully cooperate, he took advantage of a window in the weather and came with enough of a crew to bang the project out in a day. We would definitely use them for other projects in the future and couldnt recommend them more.

I hired Flavio La Rocca and Sons to build a retaining wall, renovate a deck and replace a wood patio. I had a terrible experience and do not recommend them. The trouble started when they removed the existing wood patio and Flavio (the owner) suggested that I replace it with brick pavers. When I asked how much he would deduct on my final payment for not having to rebuild the wood patio, he would only credit me for material and labor. Since the cost for rebuilding the wood patio was part of his quote for the entire job, he basically wanted me to pay his profit for the wood patio he didnt have to do. When I told him that it was unreasonable for me to pay his profit on both the pavers and wood patios, he became outraged, quit the job and removed his name from my permit. In response, I told him to forget about the pavers and just finish the wood patio per our agreement. He refused, demanded that I pay him his full profit for the entire job plus a cancellation fee and repeatedly threatened to sue me. He was so unreasonable and confrontational that I paid what he wanted just to get rid of him. Although I had a great case for breach of contract, I didnt bother suing because the time, expense and inconvenience wasnt worth it. Now I have a large, unsightly area of bare ground where my wood patio once was, yet Flavio ended up with more money than if he had finished the job. I felt ripped off, but I was glad that I no longer had to deal with him. I found some interesting law suits between La Rocca and his previous customers at the White Plains Clerks office, so this guy has quite a track record. Also, I suggest you check out what kind of character he is by Googling the phrase who is Flavio La Rocca. Read the articles by New Rochelle Talk of the Town that expose how he tried to misappropriate public property for his own use. Had I read these articles before hiring him, I could have avoided a lot of aggravation by getting a different contractor.

We have been doing business with Flavio La Rocca & Sons for the past 15 years. Mr. La Rocca has done the following work on our house: Repaved our driveway, put in new slate on our front porch, repaired our front steps and walkway, put in a new sidewalk, put in new Belgian block curbs and most recently put in a new side patio and walkway. In estimating the scope of work to be done on the above listed jobs, Mr. La Roccas expertise and professionalism was always evident. Whenever we had to speak with Mr. La Rocca or his staff about the projects, the communication was always courteous, friendly and efficient. The quality of the work done was excellent and the workers assigned were very pleasant to deal with. All the projects were done in an efficient and timely manner and the prices charged were fair. We recommended Mr. La Rocca to our neighbors for work on their houses. Several of them hired Mr.La Rocca as a result of our recommendation and after viewing the quality of his work on our house. The contractor removed the old driveway materials and graded the ground and sub-surface materials to move the rainwater away from the home. After that set up for a few days the contractor returned and paved the driveway and in between times he removed all of the soft stone lining the outside of my porch and replaced it with flag stone. The removal of the old driveway materials was a little more involved than expected - there were 3 layers of old blacktop in place -grading of the subsurface material went very well. The replacement of the softer sandstone edging around the porch went very well - just had to avoid stepping on it for a few days while it setup so we used the side door. The new driveway went down very well and I loved the look of the new drive but the crew left a lot of oil at the end of the drive on the lawn and on my corner fence post. I was ready to g and find something to soak up the oil and clean the fence but I received a call from the contractors office asking how everything went - I mentioned the mess with the oil and fence and was told that the owner must not have seen that and that the crew would be by at the end of the day to clean everything up. They came back and not only cleaned up but they also put down new soil and peat moss and new grass seed. A fantastic job - after I pointed out the problems - as a home owner do not be afraid to stay on top of the situation and express any problems you have with this company - they will respond to you.

Do not trust this contractor! I hired La Rocca at the beginning of June to redo my driveway and explained all the details and that I wanted it done by the end of the summer. We signed a contract and he took an initial deposit (for 1/3 of the job) and then asked for additional money for permits which I paid immediately. And then NOTHING HAPPENED. After 3 months of no work on my driveway the summer ended and I asked for my money back. He refused and told me Id have to pay a ton of extra costs. I ended up working with the town to get the permit done (he was supposed to handle this) and then asked him to start work. Again, NOTHING HAPPENED. Finally, after repeated requests to return my money and almost 5 months after I first contracted with him, the temperature dropped from 70 degrees to 45 degrees. Thats bad for driveways - warm weather is much better if you want to do a good job. But thats when he wanted to do the job - immediately before it got even colder. I had three problems - first that I had tried to get him to do the job for 4.5 months already and he hadnt done a thing - could I trust him do actually do a good job now? Second that the weather seemed too cold (he then responded that he did jobs up until Christmas no problem - notice the contradiction) - again, could I trust him? Third that he had taken money I had paid him and used it to pay deposits - in HIS name. The village told me that this was very bad practice. Deposits are supposed to be paid by the contractor as this protects the village against bad work. La Rocca used my money and put it in his name - and he would get it back at the end of the job. Would you trust this guy to rip up your driveway halfway into winter? After he sent me an insulting and threatening email to my polite questioning Id had enough. This time when I asked for my money back he told me Id hear from his lawyer. Then his lawyer tries to low ball me by offering to pay around a quarter of what Id paid La Rocca and claiming La Rocca was just a guy trying to run a business. Amazing! So thats where things stand. I am in the process of suing him after he took my money, lied to me repeatedly and did ABSOLUTELY NO WORK for 5 months. So if thats the guy you want to work with, then I strongly recommend - do not pay him a cent until he actually does work.
