Great pond service. We tried to muddle through the summer with 1 of 3 motors running for our waterfall & bubbler in our outdoor pond. Two weeks before we needed it for a major event the 1 good motor stopped. Lenny helped us get a new motor & came out to install 3 days before we needed it. So, appreciate his rescheduling to get us up & running!

First, I never write bad reviews. This might be only the second bad review Ive ever given. I fully understand that businesses can have unexpected delays. Second, I certainly hope your phone system warning that you record calls for quality assurance is true so you can go back and listen to my calls today. I had an appointment for today to have my irrigation system turned on for the season. The appointment was scheduled by CAREFREE for between 8am and 1pm. Oh, and if Im not there when they show up, theyll charge me another fee. I am self-employed so thats 5 hours of my time that I willingly committed to. So I spend my morning at the house instead of making money (again, Im self employed). Well, the crew didnt show up by 1pm so I called CAREFREE and spoke with a Customer Service woman who answered the phone. She confirmed my appointment time and then told me the crew was running late and was at the stop before mine. I asked why nobody contacted me to tell me they were running late (which is a rather gracious way of saying they didnt even make it during their specified 5 hour time window). She agreed that someone should have contacted me and she offered to call the crew and get back to me. At 1:17, after the service time window given to me by CAREFREE had closed, she called me back and said she couldnt get a hold of the crew but repeated they were at the stop before mine. I asked her, if she knows where the crew is, then she would also know they hadnt been to my house within the time window, so why did nobody contact me to let me know the crew was running late? She got an attitude, said Im sorry for the inconvenience and then the Customer Service woman HUNG UP ON ME WHILE I WAS STILL TALKING. At 1:38pm, I received a text message telling me the crew was on the way. They showed up at 1:45 and didnt even have the decency to apologize for being late. The conduct of the crew, and the Customer Service woman answering the phone, was rude, unprofessional and totally inconsiderate of my time. They want to charge me a fee if I waste their time by not being here during their time window, but if they dont appear during that same time window my valuable time clearly means nothing to this company.

Jose from Carefree Sprinklers did our spring turn on. He was very courteous and professional. He also reset our sprinkler settings that had been lost. Again, he was very nice and knowledgeable.

Carefree installed our sprinklers 36 years ago, they were an outstanding company! Now past 2 years, they have put us on back burner, along with another neighbor. Burnt pumps up, not teaching new kids how to prime a pump, then charged us alot of money. My husband helped kids last year. Or they would have burned it up again. He used his own parts and got charged alot of money. They were great years ago, now I would not recommend them. I got 4 dates, for them to turn it on. My neighbor quit using them after burnt up motor. That is 2 of us not happy. Too bad, they are losing people! We have 20,000 in landscape!

CAREFREE IS A DISHONEST COMPANY told us they were booked and couldn t make Closing of sprinkler system for 2 weeks they would schedule in they showed up the next morning and charged us an additional $35.00 When we were told it would be 2 weeks My husband WILL NEVER USE this company anymore THEY ARE DISHONEST and really don t care if they have Mislead you

The Carefree team Tech 5, Rich and his helper Frank, did a great job refreshing how to program my system to set up several sprinkling options for me. The Carefree team is always on-time and professional when they come out to service my system.

My CareFree technician (Jose S.) was simply OUTSTANDING. While turning on our system for the season, we found 4/leaks within the system. They were all caused by myself due to Holiday decorations on the lawn. Jose was extremely patient and did a fantastic job addressing and repairing our system leaks for the watering season. I didn t expect this but hands down, Jose did a spectacular job. Couldn t ask for a better tech. Thank You CareFree and Jose!!!

We switched from a prior vendor to Carefree over 3 years ago and the improvements in both Customer Care and the stability of our irrigation system have been measurable. The Carefree Team (their Back Office and Team Members in the field) are consistently communicating with us, they are always on-time, Billing is transparent and they are good professional people. We are also passionate about supporting local businesses any time we can.

The service is always excellent and our technician (John B.) was friendly, capable, and answered all my questions.

Each year I have to call them back due to issues. The lady that answers the phone is often rude. This last time they came back due to two zones not working and a head leaking. I called back for a third time because the head still doesnt work after they replaced it and one of the zones still doesnt work. She again was rude and said the manager would call. He never did. I am guessing that she never gave him the message. That said if the technicians were more thorough this wouldnt be a problem and its every year. Normally when a zone doesnt work one of the heads is just stuck in the grass and cant pop up and I figure that out. But Im busy and just want to pay someone to get it working. The leak I dont know what to do.... Ill be calling another company from now on. In response to your reply, no its not more things going wrong its the same things as I said in my message, but not unlike when I call, its never your fault. Furthermore, I am nearly certain we were charged on your return last year. This year I went in the house while they were replacing the head. Whether it was two weeks or three weeks to call you back it still doesnt work right and I never complained about the price or asked for something for nothing. You are making it about the money and I just want it to work! No worries though I call someone who is more thorough and doesnt blame customers for their shortcomings.

Tech 5 - Rich and Mike arrived promptly at 8am for a service repair on a broken sprinkler line. They were very nice and explained what they did to fix the job and even set up my control panel in my garage. Highly recommend this company.

Rich and Steve visited today to start up our system. They both did a great job showing me how to run the system because it was new to me. They fixed all the broken heads had it up and running very quickly. Great group and highly recommend.

Professional as it gets

I have used 3 different pond treatment companies over the last 10 years and have lived with out-of-control algae mid-Summer into Fall each year. I have heard many excuses and lost many fish due to excessive (and possibly improper) chemical application. Carefree started treatment about a month ago and my pond surface is algae free for the first time this late in the summer. No fish were kiIled in the process. I also had Carefree install 3 pond fountains. They were quick, reasonable in price, and very professional throughout the process. What was remarkable to me also was the upbeat attitude of all Carefree persons I met - particularly Lenny. Lenny told me he loves his work and enjoys making and maintaining satisfied customers. That made me pinch myself since that is a very rare attitude in business- particularly based on my experience in the pond industry. Great job!

Shoutout to Pat and the team at Carefree. When you re hiring a contractor for any project all you can hope for is good communication and a great result. They delivered both. I knew what to expect from day one. And their prices were great. Don t even bother getting other quotes!

The techs are nice, however management needs better customer service. I scheduled an appointment to have my sprinkler system repaired. They sent out a tech to look at it in the pouring rain, which made no sense. He was unable to diagnose the exact problem (because it was pouring rain )and said he would have to send out someone for an estimate. They should ve never sent someone in the rain number one and number two they should ve just sent the estimate tech out to begin with. They want to charge me $90 for a service that didn t even make sense and didn t even fix problem. So unprofessional in my opinion.

Carefree was very professional and accommodating. I have a big yard yard and the system completely covers all areas and the app is perfect. I couldn t be more satisfied.

The head installer was very helpful. He answered all our questions and explained everything about our system. They were here all day but made sure they did everything to completion and cleaned up very nicely. I cant wait until next year when my lawn waters itself!
