Best experience with a contractor in my life! Steve was the architect for the new patio we wanted and he thoughtfully guided us throughout the designing, planning and installation processes. He offered great suggestions for colors and design as we are not very creative when it comes to these projects. For the first time in my life, the installation actually started before the estimated start date and was completed in less than a week! Steve kept me updated several times each day on his team s progress, and since I was traveling for work he included pictures/videos so I could see the results. Occasionally, when both head and heart agree, do it! I needed to remodel my backyard, as it is an integral part of my tiny home. Contractor bids went crazy (looks amazing, but how much!!!), or too much for mediocracy (we throw something at the wall and see if it sticks). I finally called Hy-Tech landscaping, which I saw advertised in a remodeler magazine. Already after the initial consultation, both head and heart agreed. Steve listened to my needs (not wants), my budget constraints and did not try to oversell something that I did not want. The quote was fair and within my budget. And the work was phenomenal. Flawless experience, from consultation, conceptualization, labor, to all support behind the scenes. If I could give 10 stars out of five, I would!

Scheduled a date for a quote for landscaping and a patio. They were a no call no show. Tried texting and calling person who had been communicating and got no answer. Disappointed, really wanted to get started.

I had an excellent experience with Hy-Tech, from the response time to my initial call, to the completion of my job. Steve reached out to me promptly and even came by on a Sunday morning for my estimate to accommodate my schedule and get me a quick proposal. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and just generally good natured and down to earth, which means alot to me when hiring someone. The quote that he provided was very reasonable for my spring cleanup and mulching. The 2 gentlemen that were assigned to my job were very friendly and responsive to my multiple questions. The morning of my job, Steve texted me with their expected arrival time and kept me abreast of how close they were as they were approaching my property. And the actual work done was of very high quality. I fully intend to work with Hy-Tech (and hopefully Steve!) on future projects, including regular annual spring cleanup.

I contracted Hytech Landscaping last year to improve the look of my current patio, have a wall, and also put in a fireplace. Steve was fantastic to work with throughout the process. He helped design and make changes to meet my needs. He also helped coordinate getting some under lighting for the wall to help elevate the look. The crew worked 12 hour days to get the job done, even when the temperature was quite hot. The crew cares about the work they were doing and kept me updated throughout the process. I needed some maintenance the year with the pavers and Steve came by & got a crew out the next day to achieve the repairs. Looking forward to getting the patio sealed and the continued relationship.

We had a patio installed when we first moved into our home by Hy-Tech Landscaping. The patio is starting to sink on one end. Multiple calls and months later still no resolution or returned phone call. They claim to take notes and will get back to us. Will also be going through the BBB on this matter.

I have been shopping around to get my backyard paved. I have existing grass and 10x10 slab, I needed to expand and looking to get a 700-750 sq foot patio. I had over 5 contractors come by and provide the prices and sizes varied. Steve with Hy-Tech was definitely a contractor Ill remember and recommend. Not only are his prices very reasonable, the quality of the work is top notch. I had other contractors quote me same cost for smaller square footage. When Steve came the first time, he was very acknowledged on the job. He knew exactly the quotes the other contractors provided. He was not eager to sell his product and was not constantly contacting me. I finally contact Steve and setup an appointment. He walked me through the entire from beginning permitting process to patio care and maintenance. Throughout the building process, he has stopped by and advised what was happening and going on. He never upsold any products and the price remained the same. The entire process was very simple for us and i have nothing but great things to say. I will definitely recommend Hy-Tech and their crew.. They cleaned up after every day and did a excellent job.

We are very happy in our choice to go with Hy-tech. Steve came out promptly after being contacted. We gave him an idea with what we wanted and he provided us with his professional opinions which included style, functionality, working it into existing patio and possible drainage issues. If I could give a NEGATIVE -5 star REVIEW I would. Steve came out middle of Sep to walk the project and provide an estimate. I sent the plat of survey as requested the next day. I was told I would have an estimate the next week - plenty of time to have the job done before the weather was too cold. Here we are, middle of November: 9 weeks later, 9 emails/texts/calls later, and nothing! It started off with some excuses then just ghosted, no response. SHAME ON YOU!!!! Do not put them on your call list!!! You WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

I do not recommend. Unprofessional, not timely with quotes. Make a lot of excuses as to why. Not interested in anything that is not a high dollar job for a high dollar residence. Even offered extra work and extra dollars and estimator/architect told me to go to home depot. WiIl not recommend to any of my colleagues, peers, and definitely not my friends. Good luck with them.

Steve from Hytech was the absolute best. You can tell hes very knowledgeable with years of experience just based on conversations. His recommendations were never pushy and also were the best decision with my familys needs in mind. He helped us to stay within our budget during the planning stage and that sealed the deal for me. I knew I wanted to work with him because he never pressured us into any type of upgrades or ways to get more money out of us. Steve came out May 10 2022...as of today no estimate. I was told one week its going to be 4 weeks. He has told me at least 3 times he was releasing the quote the last time was Friday and still nothing. He has told me they get over 100 estimates a day well maybe you should stop doing estimates because you cant keep up. Its hard enough to get a landscaper out to give an estimate now I cant get the quote. Its too bad because we were excited about the ideas.. Now I have 2 more landscapers coming for estimates this week. I have been waiting since the end of April that is when I made the appointments for the others. . Lets see how long it takes to get those quotes.

Worked with Steve K. this year (2022) to get an Unilock paver patio installed in my backyard and really couldn t be happier. Steve came out to my home multiple times in order to get the design right and his installation crews were great, to include working multiple days in over 100 degree weather. Steve also came out multiple times each day to inspect the work and go over things with me. I also found Hy-Tech to be amongst the most reasonable in terms of prices. Really quite a home run going with them. I ll be contacting them next year to get more work done. Oh, almost forgot - they also installed some bushes and hedges in front of my home. Great value and the quality of the bushes is much better than I ve observed at the local box stores and nurseries.

Steve was excellent to work with. Very responsive to question and open to discuss our ideas. He was on site everyday to check in with crew and ensure things were remaining on time and project was moving foward. Crew on site was great, lead for the crew was there each day though some of the labors changed out depending on need. Project turned out great, very satisfied with work.

We had them do a brick paver extension to our existing concrete patio. The suggestions they gave us for colors and border color were perfect. It looks amazing! The crew and supervisor were courteous and professional. The job and clean up was outstanding ! Would refer them to anyone.

I recommend using a competitor. 5 weeks, at least a half dozen phone calls, and equally as many emails, and still waiting for a response the owner assured us we would receive. I met with Steve Koskinas on June 11. Based on my follow up calls I was told he was an owner. It does not change the fact that I have yet to get a response from him or anyone regarding that visit. And if you were truly sorry you would be actively trying to correct this problem however, it appears all the negative reviews have a very common thread. Therefore your responses look and sound like whiny excuses. Good luck to you.

I used HyTech after seeing they had a special going on for a stone paver patio and a free fire pit. Steve K. was my contact person and he was great to work with. He was prompt, explained everything thoroughly and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision. He kept me informed and his crew was able to install the patio in record time! The fire pit looks great and is now much safer than what I was using. I would highly recommend giving HyTech a call if you need any work done.

We had a paver patio with seating walls and pillars and a retaining wall that needed repairs. It had been installed originally prior to our moving into the house. We had it priced out by another company and it was much higher in price. HyTech did a great job, and lots of kudos to Steve who oversaw the project. The whole crew was great. I was not sure how to go about replacing my small cement patio with pavers. Steve from Hy Tech came out and showed me examples but obviously he knew exactly what to pick as far as colors and type of pavers. He even guided me with our HOA. I love my pavers and so does everyone who sees the work Hy Tech did. I highly recommend this company!

Steve came and we moved the design for a seating wall along a paver patio that they installed about 4 years ago. He honored the warranty and noticed a few things to correct that I did not notice. These were repaired within the warranty. It was nothing due to quality of the work, but just natural settling due to the freeze/thaw climate that we live in IL. I am happy with the outcome of this project. The crew left no mess. I was amazed at their workmanship building a curved patio wall. I couldnt stop watching. Never a missed cut. I will use them again for any future projects.

We used Hy-tech Landscaping for a project in June of 19. Steve was very professional and knowledgeable in horticulture when it came to choosing the right bushes to plant along our patio in the backyard. They also repaired the paver brick patio and power washed and put a matte finish on it. Even came back promptly to fix an issue with it after I brought it to his attention. Hy-Tech installed a paver patio and firepit for us about a year and a half ago. Other than a few pavers that started to sink near the concrete stump (home site is new construction) - that were fixed the same day that I called! - the patio looks like new. Great experience, no complaints.

Patio of Brick Pavers about 8 years old, maybe 10. They had settled and tilted any which way. Steve from Hytech came out walked the area and discussed the proper fix. After I received consultation never heard back from them on a quote. Called office 3 times and texted steve and received complete radio silence. I was promised work could be done in 3 weeks. Its the three week mark and I still havent received my quote. Now its to late to get project completed by first birtbday we are having for our son. Would waste my time on a company like this.

WOW!!! Hytech Landscaping hit a grand slam out of the ball park with the design and installation of our new Uniloc paver patio! We could not be happier!! All work was professionally performed with the highest levels of customer service, quality installation, materials, value and communications from start to end. He clearly possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience and ultimately steered us in the best direction to meet and exceed our expectations. About 1 1/2 months ago I called Hy-Tech for someone to come and look at my paver stairs that were falling apart . Steve Koskinas came out the next day. Called me and explained the reason why it fell apart and quoted me a price.I had to hold off for a while but appreciated the time he gave me to explain. Couple weeks later had a few more questions and Steve took more time to explain and gave me options. I was finally ready to have repaired and again dealing with Steve who was very professional snd explained again , and was quoted a very reasonable price. The time he spent on all my questions , not once did he give me the impression I was wasting his time . Besides the fact that most companies don t even call you back , Steve called back , showed up on time , explained well , and the price I felt was reasonable. Steve came out to quote/discuss my job. He offered excellent ideas, talked about landscaping engineering, gave me a thick picture book for retaining walls ideas, was even able to offer solutions for cement stairs and retaining wall that I hadnt expected. I was so excited! & then he never sent a quote or returned my phone calls. Why get the client excited and then ghost them? Just say youre too busy or the job is not for you/your company.

Steve was responsive to all questions and requests.. The workmanship was excellent. We were very pleased with the end result.

Id recommend looking elsewhere. Hy-Tech is very unprofessional, have absolutely no respect for your time, and are horrible with communication. We scheduled Steve for an estimate and he never showed up. Called the front office that night who said theyd look into it and never returned my call. Emailed them the next day and Lisa explained that they had the appointment for the next day. Steve never showed up for that one either. There are tons of great landscaping companies out there, dont waste your time with this one.

We replaced a two-tiered deck with a one-level paver patio. We found our initial meeting with Steven informative on all the points that needed to be considered from preparation of the area to patio construction. At that point, we realized this was the company we wanted to complete our project. The work crew and supervisor were efficient in their work. Adjustments were made as needed after consulting with us to achieve the look we wanted within the design. It was evident that they did not treat it as a cookie-cutter project; but, one specific to our yard, house and previous deck space. We were impressed with the quality of materials used. The end result far exceeds what we first envisioned. Based upon our experience, will use Hytech in the future for our landscaping projects. We highly recommend this company.

Steve from Hy-Tech Landscaping is awesome. I removed my 24 foot round pool, and Steve designed a great looking patio in the space. The patio with fire pit turnout great! Steve is great to work with, listened to what I was looking for, and put my thoughts in action. The crew was very pleasant to talk to, and very respectful of my neighbors and my property. Would definitely recommend Hy-Tech! Also would like to add the crew cleaned up very nicely, you would have never known they were there except for the beautiful patio. Neighbors were very impressed by the work, I would not be surprised if you got calls for work next spring.

We hired HyTech to install a new deck on our home. We were very satisfied with every step of the process. Steve was very straightforward about pricing and timing. We absolutely love our new deck! We have already recommended them to others. And we plan to use their services for another project next year.

No show for 2 confirmed appointments. We have a very busy schedule on top of our kids schedules so the day was ruined the first time. They said there might have been a mix up at the office, asked for 2nd chance and promised it wouldnt happen again. We gave them a 2nd chance, made time in our schedules again, but were stood up again, and it was only 2 days later. This time no apology or response. Very unprofessional, dont waste your time.

Very poor workmanship, filed complaint with BBB. Complaint was never resolved. Steve (Salesman) has never followed up even with several calls and requests to discuss my concerns.
