Highly recommend! Gil and his guys did an excellent job. I was having issues with water coming into the house due to unleveled foundation outside. Before Gil, I was getting the run around with bigger jobs that did not fit the main issue. I was recommended Gil by another customer. So I gave it a try. I told him my concern and what I was looking for. Gil was very detailed on what needed to happen to get the problem fixed and at the same time get the front yard looking nice. The attention to detail, work, and communication all around was extremely professional. I will definitely be hiring them and recommending them for more services.

I rarely give reviews but thought this job deserved one. Gill came out quickly for an estimate which was very reasonable compared to the others I got. They started when they said and other than weather delays completed on schedule. This was a large 80 retaining wall and 70 ft sidewalk. The quality of the job is excellent. The labor they had to put in to get it done when it was wet, and not wreck my yard, was incredible. These guys are seriously hard workers that took the time to make sure everything was level and straight. I would highly recommend them for any job after I saw what they had to go through to get it done.

My husband and I moved into our new home in January of this year and right away we new the sod and grading of our lawn was not right. We contacted Gil who came to our home immediately and gave us a proposal to remove the existing sod , regrade the property and put down new sod. From the beginning of the project right to the end Gil and his crew did an excellent job. The crew worked very hard making sure we were happy. This was the first time that we dealt with a company that we could trust and they did there job, cleaned up after themselves and returned to our home to make sure we were happy.

I can t begin to tell you what a joy it was to work with Gill and his crew as they transformed my yard. I had terrible erosion issues that had to be address and wanted the back yard to be a place to e joy. Now I can t stop looking out the window or enjoying time out there. Absolutely spectacular service. Gil and team created an outdoor paver with mulch design around my moms ramp as it was low. When it rained it was a small pond of water. I found Gil on Google..I saw photos of his work, very impressive, called and he was at my moms home the same day to understand my request. He shared a design and it is spectacular. New Bern Lawn Care excellent company. They removed all the old mulch and ugly red rock in my front. Put all new beautiful fresh Red Mulch with plants to make it look beautiful. Added a rose Bush in the center of front yard to add more beauty. I had an ugly back yard with roots and a dirt back yard. They brought in fresh new dirt. dug up all the tree roots and laid all bran new sod. Looks absolutely beautiful. I am just renting, but Gill and his crew did an impeccable Job. I am so very happy. They were all extremely efficient, very polite and professional. When I buy my new house, I will continue to use New Bern Lawn Care and they will be my Landscaping company that I will always use. Gil and his crew did an outstanding job on my front lawn landscaping. It is so pretty now and I m very happy. They removed all of the dead bushes, the ugly white stones and weeds and replaced it with nice small healthy boxwoods and black mulch. They added ground cloth to keep the weeds down. We paid Mr. Wallace in advance for the entire lawn growing season to come every two weeks and cut our grass. This man is on time, every time and does a very good job. He even does the weed whacking.

Gil and his team installed a pebble driveway bordered by pavers at my home and the results were absolutely beautiful, beyond my original expectations. But, beyond the end product, Gil always returns phone calls, and when he says hell be there he is. Simple qualities but in todays world, somewhat rare qualities.

Buyer beware. Gil and team converted the mulch in my garden beds from pine straw to hard wood without first laying fabric. Needless to say I can t keep the weeds or grass from growing in the garden beds. The team also badly burnt my lawn with the chemicals they used for weed and feed my lawn. I have been in recovery mode for awhile after having to aerate, re-seed and apply nitrogen to the wide-spread burnt areas.

We have been with New Bern Lawn Care since we bought our house three years ago. We really appreciate all of the work they do for us! Our lawn always looks great when they leave-they are very meticulous in their work, especially the edging. They have also laid sod and pine straw for us at very reasonable prices, and they are always very pleasant and willing to help with whatever we need.

Hired company to remove mulch and put down weed liner and stone. Also setup to have lawn maintained every 2 weeks. My lawn service has been missed in the 2 week period multiple times. As of writing this it has been 4 weeks. Also, they never put a liner under the stone so now I have weeds coming through. Beware of the lies..

My initial phone call to Gil resulted in him answering the phone, meeting me at my steep sloping, vacant residential lot that had not been cared for since last fall and, him waiting for me even though I was 15 or more minutes late. Much of the lot was over grown with head-high weeds and small trees. Gil gave me a price and a date on the spot for the clean up. He showed up days earlier than expected and did an excellent job turning the lot back into a yard. The initial clean up was not cheap, the price for my own neglect, but I feel the price was fair. I wish zero stars was an option. Absolutely the worst landscaping company that I have ever used. My experience with this company has been sporadic service and subpar work. I find the owner to be very unprofessional and at times, downright nasty. Do yourself a favor and call someone else.

We had our grass installed, pavers laid in the backyard and side yard, 3 trees in backyard (2 river birch trees and a crepe myrtle). They also took or pine straw out and put in rock that matches the house. Gil brought us samples to make our decision much easier. Gil and his crew were very respectful, honest in giving us suggestions of what would be best in our decision making. They were always on time to work and treated our family like we were part of his family. I highly recommend his company to fulfill all your needs in making your house as beautiful as ours is.

Great service. Actually started early. Added a beautiful patio and walkway to our yard, sod, and cleaned up a very messy area along our fence. Highly recommend and will definitely use them again.

They answered and came out same day to estimate the cost. Came the next day and got the job done. Was just a couple trees that were cut down and needed cut up and stacked and they did it very quick and efficient. Will definitely call again if I need more work done.

I cant say enough about the team that makes up New Bern lawn Care. They work in a synchronized manner its like watching a Chinese fire drill. Everyone jumps off the vehicle and has a job to do and they go to work right away which is awesome because a lot of times I am pressed for time! Gilberto the owner is probably one of the easiest guys to talk to you will ever meet. The pricing is fair and the job is A1 every time. I have him come every week and cut my grass trim my weeds around the edges and blow my patios and sidewalks and driveway off. I am currently scheduling him to come out and do my mulch work in my flower beds with the new rubber mulch! Give him a call!

We have been using Gil from New Bern Lawn Care for almost two years. They come out cut grass, weed eat and trim edges of driveway, and blow all the grass off for a very good price! We have had Gil come out and do two major jobs. They laid sod in our whole back yard and the grass looks amazing. The next year we had them do the front landscaping. Our backyard and landscaping looks amazing. We highly recommend Gil and his crew for professional work!

Gil was able to come to my house and give me an estimate within 1 hour of calling, and work was complete on my home within a week! Other companies were scheduling work 8 weeks out. He gave me the name of a neighbor he previously did work for and I spoke with them. They had nothing but wonderful things to say and their yard was beautiful so we booked New Bern Lawn to clean up our yard and some old fallen trees from the hurricane. Gil and his crew were fast, friendly, and he quoted a great price! I can t say enough good things about them and their work!

Gil and his crew have been servicing our lawn for 2 years now and we couldnt be more pleased. So professional and really knows lawn care and gardening in general. Extremely nice to do business with.

We contacted Gil at New Bern Lawn Care for an estimate in early April this year. After having had dozens of large old trees removed from our 3/4 acre lot the previous year our yard was now a desolate wasteland that needed more work than we could possibly manage ourselves. Gil responded right away and came out the same day to look things over, then had an estimate ready the following day. His responsiveness, friendly, agreeable manner, and testimonials and photos from previous customers gave us confidence he was the right person for the job. He was able to schedule the work for the following week and showed up with his crew of about 5 employees on time every day working from 8-5 for 4 days. The work involved moving and grading tons of dirt and mulch to create beds, planting of bushes and 27 trees, removal of three, large, 25 -year-old Pampas grass bushes, installing extra drainage pipe in our ditch, laying centipede sod and pine straw where needed, and finally, on the last day, cleaning everything up and even mowed edged our lawn. We were thrilled with the transformation and now, 4 months later our Crape Myrtles are blooming, the other trees and bushes are thriving, and our yard looks beautiful. Also, we can now take care of it ourselves. Also, if that wasnt enough, Gil has stopped by several times in the months afterwards to see if everything was ok. Paid $200 to have those dude mow the grass this past Friday...had to re-mow today myself and it was so high, wheels on the mower all the way up, the mower was still stalling and took me double the time it usually takes me. Text the guy to complain and he wrote he has no idea what I m talking about.

Gil and his team transformed my backyard into a wonderful gathering place. He had good ideas when I didnt know what to do. There were obstacles associated with the stone supplier, but he was honest and quick to resolve them. Everyone in the neighborhood has been impressed with their hard work and the quality of the work done. This wasnt cheap, but it is worth every dime.

Working with Gil and his group at New Bern Lawn and Landscaping was one of the best experiences Ive ever had as they turned an ugly problem area into a beautiful hardscape and meditation garden. Horrible. Do not use these people. Stay away. I hired this company to do a spring cleanup, remove some bushes, place some sod and put in pine straw. Instant regret after they showed up 3 hours late to start the work. Then they tried to extort another $200 on top their original quote, after doing extremely poor work, from my wife who was at the house. Bad form. I will never hire these people again and I suggest that anyone looking for this type of work around their house take my advice.

Gills quality of work is great. However, Ive never experienced such blatant disrespect from anyone/company that I was giving my money to. Issues began due to an overpayment Id made with the understanding that he was supposed to come back to cut the grass again to make up for it. Needless to say, he failed to service our yard on several occasions. Whenever Id call to follow up, he always had an excuse followed by empty promises regarding make up days. Of course he never showed. Soon after, he began dodging calls until I called from a number he didnt recognize. Upon expressing my discourse for all hes done, he became incredibly rude. As the owner, youd think that he wouldve taken some kind of responsibility in the matter as opposed to trivializing my concerns (he received payment for services not rendered). After wasting so much of my time, he finally agreed to refund the excess money Id given him. I never shouldve had to deal with that kind of treatment in an attempt to get my lawn mowed. I wouldnt recommend New Bern Lawn Care to anyone. Honesty, great customer service, and a little thing called common courtesy should be given when running a business. This company just doesnt have it!

Very sporadic service, not very reliable. We were supposed to be set up on a bi-weekly schedule but on several occasions no one would show up. Here we are now and a month has gone by with no one showing up. No phone calls or anything. When we call, the mailbox is always full and you cant reach anyone. On the rare occasion that you can leave a voicemail, no one bothers calling back.
