As a consumer, that s all you re asking for from a company doing business with you. Do the job correctly the FIRST time and offer any tips to maintain the work done.

Disclaimer: This review is meant to be constructive. I appreciate the technicians efforts, they have a hard job out in the sun, but training and overall management/structure should be evaluated internally. I suspect Tru Green, as a whole, is probably a very good company. My review is for the specific branch that has been managing my lawn in Nashville. Very disappointed with the way my lawn care was managed. I have not seen any appreciable difference in the state of my lawn, despite following all of the recommendations they provide in the after visit summary. A different technician is sent to my home every single time and they must keep very poor notes because no one knew what the overall plan was. I am under the presumption that there never was a plan to begin with. I feel that they treat every yard in the same way and there is no tailoring the services for the needs of the yard. Furthermore, no one attempted to communicate with me. They send you an after visit summery which is just a template that the technicians copy and paste. Nothing about my experience made me feel that it was Tailored lawn treatment. Twice they attempted to aerate my lawn and could not do it. The most recent attempt, they damaged my fence and I am pretty sure they did not even aerate at all. I was still charged $400. If you are in the Brentwood/Nolensville area, consider a different company.

The technician Alexandrea made the service call is a 10 for me. She was smiling, respectful, friendly, and efficient. She took the time to explain to me just what was going on with my yard.

I purchased lawn care service for the express purpose of getting rid of crabgrass and dallisgrass in my yard. Treatments have done little to remedy my problem, in spite of several complaints to the company.

Justin is an excellent professional for true green. He did the aeration and seeding about 10 days ago and germination is already happening in my yard. Today he spreaded seeds in the spot where manual spreader is needed. Overall, he did a wonderful job and I am hoping to have a good lawn this year. Thank you , TrueGreen.

Steven Weaver preformed aeration and overseeding today. He went above and beyond and as a result has received high praise from me. We discussed the work order he had and agreed it was not correct. He agreed to complete the work as we discussed. He was thorough in his work and saved Trugreen from having to send another specialist to my home. He is to be commended for his commentment to providing the best service to a long time Trugreen client.

I tried to cancel for 2 years, they kept coming anyways, kept charging me, and then sent me to collections. every time I would get them on the phone, they would say everything is taken care or, paid off, then a bit would come. there are many other reputable companies. Dont use these guys.

After the first time my wife watched them pull up, stick a flag in the front yard, drop an invoice on the front step and drive away without doing the service, we let them make it right by sending someone out to actually do the work they billed us for. Today, I watched as a truck drove up to do my seeding and aeration, then immediately drive away before getting a message that my service couldnt be completed because my pet was outside. They could have knocked on the door to let me know, but I guess it was too close to quitting time. Regardless, Ive canceled my account with them and am currently in the market for a service provider that actually provides the service.

Today 8/24/24 at 12:50 turning off south Cumberland , one of the TruGreen work trucks (white male, short black hair) , ran a red light almost hitting me head on and then flicked me off. After getting in contact with customer support the lady had a nasty attitude about this situation. No one in this company cares about the safety of others . They let their drivers driver around recklessly with no care about their company image or safety of others Edit: forgot to add he laughed as he was flicking me off and driving away

On Saturday 8/24 is date of occurrence. I wish I could leave a 0 star review. I had one of their truck drivers run a stop sign and almost hit me with a head on accident. He then laughed and flip me off as he sped away so I couldn t get a truck number. i called in and the first customer service rep was extremely rude. She told me there is no management to call or speak to. They don t take complaints about their drivers. She laughed and told me to call the cops or stop complaining. Then when I asked to be transferred she lied to me several times saying she can t transfer calls. If I wanted to try I should call the Spanish line as she laughed. I then hung up and called back and got Alyssa. She was respectful and helpful. She filled out a complaint form for me and sent it up the chain and I am now waiting on a reply from management. Terrible representation of a company will never be using their services.

After a year with them I have more weeds than before. ZERO!!!! customer service. I called 5 times and still nothing . So I canceled my service with them.

They killed my lawn, their treatments are done half assed, and although they guarantee you ll be satisfied, it shouldn t take you calling to have them do the job over again. Take care of your lawn yourself, at least you ll know the job was done correctly.

Was lied to about service, they upsell tree care and don t have trees the guy made it sound like it was for the lawn. Then was charge for it. Cancel all services

In the beginning, I was very pleased. Now, not so much. They cancelled a service i had scheduled that was recommended by their specialist that came out to look at my deteriorating grass. I was told the manager would reschedule it. He has never rescheduled it. They didn t even bother telling me why they cancelled it. I had to contact them to find out. And now, seeing the manager doesn t seem to care, i went and scheduled it online. The employees are very polite and try to be helpful but every question i ask, it seems like a guessing game.

I am surprised that they got weeds under control in my yard just in two treatments and their fertilizer is keeping my grass healthy, and their flowers, bushes and tree service keeps it insect free and healthy. My lawn was actually a neglected 1 acre parcel of land with a house on it when I acquired my home. Lets just say in most areas the weeds had won! Not sure their tree and shrub treatment works

Trugreen is a JOKE. I had 2 techs to come out and spray my lawn for weeds and they ALL sprayed only half of my lawn. A supervisor was supposed to come out a 3rd time, but another tech came out. Instead of doing a respray, as I asked and confirmed, they did a lime treatment without my knowledge and charged my card for the service. Its been a HASSLE getting my refund. I HIGHLY recommend NOT using this company!!

I wasn t home when the technician arrived so I can t comment on much. He was only here a few minutes after I arrived home. Time will tell if the service is worth it as I will see if it makes an approvement.

Hi! We are not a customer, and based off of our experience with the salesman, we never will be. I live in the Blackman area of Murfreesboro. We had to call the police to get the solicitor to leave our property. He began screaming at my neighbor for asking him to leave her property. When I pointed out that I have a no soliciting sign stating I m immunocompromised on my door, he just got his phone out and began recording myself and my neighbor. Of course he didn t record the part with him screaming at my neighbor and myself. After posting in the neighborhood group warning neighbors, I learned that several others had awful experiences with the salesman too. One told him he was going to report the salesman to his boss and the salesman just said good luck w that this company will never have our business. I ll cut my grass with scissors first.

They did one treatment for weeds & then never showed up again. Their service appointments were continually cancelled even on days with beautiful weather. On top of this, they don t even put dirt down in lawns with low spots or rocky soil; how is my yard supposed to look like a golf course if you aren t truly full-service and never actually come out to service my lawn?

The service is good but trying to talk to a person there is a nightmare, I called several times and you get a recording of average wait time is always 1 minute , I never did get through to a person.

Terrible experience with being billed multiple times for services I never received. Took 5 calls to get them to stop billing me they even turned me into a collections agency after I had received confirmation verbally and in writing that they would clear the fraudulent charges to my account. Also, the scheduling was inconsistent sometimes I d get a notification minutes before a service was to occur. Frequently did a sloppy job or missed portions of the yard.

I hired Trugreen to rid me of weeds on my lawn. After numerous months, they were unable to kill the weeds, maybe because they kept spraying the same chemicals on them each time. Not only did the weeds not die, the flourished. After getting tired of them coming back out with the same results (the definition of Insanity), I fired them. Because I would have gotten the same results if I sprayed water on my lawn. If you are thinking about having weeds killed in your yard, please think about another company.

Please continue to send Patrick to my house for service. He and his peer seemed to take their job seriously, and cared about performing a good job. Both of them explained the process of what they were doing, and what to expect after the treatment. I havent experienced this from Trugreen in a long time.

The best part of todays experience was Jon Jonathan Elliott. He rang our doorbell, we walked the yard together, we discussed what type of weeds I had. and his recommendations. As far as I am concerned, I would want no other tech to service my lawn. He is TOP SHELF!

Our yard is beautiful and everyone who comes by compliments it. Weve been using TruGreen for about 6 years. This is the 2nd home theyve been treating. They are easy to do business with. It usually takes a good year of treatment to begin seeing results, but when you do see results youll be very happy! Highly recommend TruGreen.

TruGreen gave me the run around, then finally gave me a quote and we agreed upon a service. They said they would be out in 5 business days. But when I called them about scheduling they had dropped me and I wasnt even scheduled. My experience leads me to say they do not do what they say nor follow through. Look elsewhere!

Been using Trugreen for a couple years. They took a pretty sad looking yard and made it spectacular.

I am not saying I would never use Trugreen again but I could buy a lot of lawn care products, fertilizer, etc. with what I paid. Maybe Im just lazy, also 80 y.o. (update), Trugeen has contacted me to visit my location and talk, worth another star for trying harder, and being concerned.

Cheap is rarely great and great is rarely cheap. Dont bother. I called to get an idea of what services where left for this year, 2023, and was told by the sales rep on the phone that its different everywhere in the US, even though I had already asked specifically about TN. She told me that Id have to give my home address and full name to see specifically. When I told her that Im not comfortable giving that to her to avoid needless marketing efforts, she said, Well, you can call us back when youre ready to give that information. Then, she hung up on me. I called back and got the same nonsense from the next lady. I asked to speak to a manager about it and was told I couldnt, then got routed to an endless hold message. Absolute garbage.

Fly-D completed our aeration today. If Truegreen were smart they would clone this lady because she was on time, detail oriented, professional, and very thorough. Ask for her out of Nashville to get the best work done!

I m not one to normally leave good or bad reviews, but this one was too much to not share. I was sold a package in the fall of 2022 to seed and aerate and then maintain for 12 months. Prepaid, only to find out in November that it was too late to seed and I had not even paid for that package. So I ended up with an initial weed spraying that killed everything in my yard and no grass to replace it. By spring, the weeds were back, but no grass. I then got 6 more months of weed control that did nothing once the weather warmed up. Seems as though the chemicals aren t right for the season. Absolutely a joke. Feel like I could buy weed and seed and do better for 20 bucks. Fast forward to now. Fall has arrived. Finally time to seed some actual grass on my own since they conveniently couldn t find the recording of the call where I was sold the grass package, so sprayed my own lawn, let the weeds die, rented an aerator, bought grass seed and a spreader, and fertilizer. 8 days into this, TruGreen sends me a text about an upcoming service appointment. Having just spent a fortune on wedding my own lawn and having been watering it 4 times a day for over a week, I called so they wouldn t come destroy my grass. Spoke to the account manager in Nashville for 17 minutes. He guaranteed that they were only going to put fertilizer so as to not destroy what I d just done to my yard. Tech shows up while I was working and sprayed my entire lawn. Over 500 bucks down the drain and they won t even call me back. I m furious and this will not be the last they hear of me. Pitiful.

I am a widow and my husband always kept our lawn like a golf course.It was beautiful! I Never thought it would look that way again! I was sick my yard had turned into a weed patch.. Trugreen makes hugevgty

Technician Patrick M, had to come and redo an aeration and over seeding that was not done correctly. He was not the technician that did not do it he was the one that had to come and correct it. He did a wonderful job. He was polite and answered any and all questions. I wish he was the only technician that could take care of my yard. All the other technicians for the over seeding and weeding would only do half of my yard every time. So areas of my yard look like TruGreen does not ever treat my whole yard because the half that is not getting treated makes my whole yard look terrible. Every time I look at my yard I feel like I wasted my money.

I had concerns about my aeration & overseeding so they sent another technician Kendall Anderson. He did an excellent job reservicing my lawn. Compliments to this young man and customer service.

This is a great company for me. Because everyone is willing to help from office personal to field technician.

He did not knock on door to speak with us We have a ring camara that would have picked him up

We didnt have TruGreen and didnt WANT TruGreen, but didnt have a choice as they took over the service from our previous company, Waynes. We decided to give TruGreen a shot and were disappointed...the serviceman was here for all of 5-7 minutes and didnt do anything. Watched him walk around our front and back yard and then drive off. 2 min later got a report from them saying per our conversation but never had a conversation with him other than him saying Im here to do your lawn service. I have since called and cancelled my service.

Our service man this time, Larry, did the best job of all. Wed like to keep him.

I have been using True Green for fertilizing and weed control many years. Their products and service has always been very good. Keeps my lawn looking good. But, their pricing continues to increase to the point I may soon have to schedule less treatments per year!

They doing awesome job. I will definitely recommend for others to use them for their lawn care.

My yard used to be just a weed patch. After only one year of my lawn treatments by TruGreen my yard is just green grass. I have truly enjoyed my yard this year and plan on using TruGreen again next year.

TruGreen is pretty consistent. Now that they have their auto draft system in place I am enjoying the work provided spread over an 11 month period. Helps keep me on budget.

I have had Trugreen come out several times to treat weeds. Every time they treat the weeds, they never die or even turn a different color. The only thing they can do is treat it again, to no avail. I could have sprayed my own weed killer and probably would have had better results or at least would have saved several hundreds of dollars. The last time they scheduled for a re-treatment they canceled near the end of the day and now they can come out because of snow and rain. Trugreen says they tailor the treatment to each lawn, but I think they spray the same stuff on everyones lawn. Save your money, dont hire Truripoff.
