I was told the first time to mow my lawn was $19.99 no matter what the length of grass it is. I made it very clear it was long and said due to the promotion it s 19.99. They ended up charging me $150.00 because the grass is long . Update it became $160 after they fixed it then completely stopped communication

Writing another review so someone may contact me for charging me $160 after the work was complete even though they told me before hand it would cost $20 because of a promotion no matter how tall grass was. They will start talking to me and then stop and say we are investigating or just tell me I m ending this email stream because someone else is going to be in contact. No answers were given in the email. No one contacted me so out of desperation for someone to talk to me I and writing another review. And will continue till i have an actual conversation with someone and get an explanation.

Never once came on the day scheduled, never replied once when I d message my technician, never once acknowledged my questions or notes about letting me know when theyre here (my dog will run if the gate is opened, I wanted to make sure she was inside.) Tried to charge me a fee after that for it getting too late when they didnt come on the scheduled day. Broke my gate, cracked the post and mangled the door. Drove over my solar lights on the edge of my driveway with lawnmower. (I would have pulled them up for you dweebs if told). Didn t read my access notes about the house. Customer service unhelpful. Said to give them the day, that they work late, promised theyd make it. All 3 times. Never once was it true. Never once did I get confirmation they contacted the technician. Now, their technician Jason is fighting me on compensating me for the damage (while acknowledging that it happened) but saying they will close my case before it s fully resolved due to it taking a while to get an invoice..essentially, the post is too damaged to hold the original fancier latch, and a block of wood/hook are temporarily holding it in place against the wind until my very busy contractor can come replace them, which will cost much more than the $12 temporary hook that will only be in place for a few weeks. Crooks. ADDED POST REPLY: I know they look like they replied here and care, and I can t reply apparently lmao. They do not care at all. I provided receipts and invoices for repair companies for $154. They are only paying the $43.97 on the new parts. They weren t even willing to go up to $47.02 to pay the tax on the item purchased. SLIMEBALLS

Always consistent and pleased with their service!

My grass cuts are several weeks late and never done with care. They just run over my yard with a 0 turn and don t edge at all. My grass is currently knee high and a week late. I m done with this company.

After a slight bump, all issues have been resolved to more than my satisfaction.

They do a good job when theyre here, but are constantly changing the dates theyll be here and my lawn looks terrible because of it.

My yard was in dire need of attention. I have a large backyard and a narrow fence gate so its been difficult to find someone willing to maintain it for me. Jeremy came and did an amazing job. It was done neatly and efficently. I am very pleased and happy to have found a service to keep my yard looking its best.

We just had Odale Norton mow our lawn for the first time today. He did an awesome job. Hope we get to keep him doing our lawn for a long time.

I had service set up to come mow my lawn biweekly. Most of this summer, I had no issues, but it went downhill pretty quickly. In early July, I requested a one-time bush trimming in addition to my regular lawn mowing. I was traveling quite a bit in July and was hardly home, but I returned home to longer than normal grass. I looked in the app and noticed that my past few weeks had been cancelled by the lawn mowing company. On August 6th, I was charged for the lawn mowing and bush trimming, however, I did not receive either of these services. I contacted support immediately. My lawn was eventually mowed, but not until September 24th (at which point it was over 4 feet tall). As of today, October 5th, I still have not received the bush trimming I requested, nor the refund I was promised on August 6th.

Highly irresponsible. Why you show open service appointment when you cancel it last minute causing inconvenience to people decided to trust you?

Took months to clear my account when I clearly changed payment info and they would come when not anticipated.

I joined LawnStarter at the end of last summer because my husband had not been able to keep up with the lawncare by himself. We are going to keep using them this summer as well. I like that I can do everything in the app--scheduling, questions, additional services, payment, etc. The crew always shows up on time, and the yard looks great when they are finished.

I signed up with them, gave them all of my information, put payment on file. They verified my address and assured me they had crews available in the area. They give you a 2 day window for your service date. I received an email the 1st day quoted saying they did not have any crews available to service my lawn. It would have been much more professional to say that up front.

I set a date and time using my address and paid. 5 days later, the day before expected service, I get an email saying unfortunately they cant find a crew to do my lawn. Seems like LawnStarter prided them self on accuracy of their website measurements, and turns out they just have someone look it up and decide pricing through a delayed process. Thanks for nothing.

This was the worst lawn cutting job I have ever had!!!!! I was out of town when my lawn was half cut. When I returned my neighbor stopped me in my driveway to tell me how horrible my lawn looked. I wasnt upset....I agreed! They missed patches of grass and left two yards of uncut grass because my water hose was on the lawn. I was out of town working so I couldnt move it!! Customer service said they would send another person to cut the grass and the person never showed up. Then when I tried to cancel my service the automatically generated response indicated I had 2 more mows to fulfill my contracts. Lastly it takes FOREVER to speak to anyone in customer service. Thee service is awful. Use GreenPal... They are SOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!

We started using LawnStarter simply because it was the cheaper of the options and we knew we could cancel if it was not up to snuff. Well it s been almost a year and we have only ever had one issue, which actually was a misunderstanding on our part. We had some banana trees cut completely down when we had asked them to trim for winter. And turns out this wasn t actually a wrong doing. It s what was supposed to be done. They did everything to make sure we were comfortable waiting to make sure they regrew in spring (which they did) and if not they would replace. Our grass always looks amazing and they have been very knowledgeable about the services we requested, even when we weren t.

Missed lawn mowing,multiple lawn companies cancel on the day of, mowing marked completed but never started, my grass gets taller along with excuses for not being serviced.

Ever since I signed up with this company, they have yet to touch my my yard. The crew has text me twice to say they are on their way. And no one has touched my yard for almost a month. I want my money back and I am canceling your sorry services. I have pictures and proof that you havent touch my yard. And Im tired of calling you and not getting a response. Your call back does not work! Im tired of this and I see in your reviews that people have experience the same thing! No need for your apologies, just my money back. I know youre going to apologize to make sure you look good for your reviews. There is nothing you can say or do to make me want your sorry services.

They don t come at the proposed time. They keep pushing it out until you re frustrated. I will not recommend this company for any one. I have made an appointment with them and it s been a week and nobody has shown up. When you call customer service you will stay on the phone forever. Overall experience is very poor. Pls if you know other companies I will recommend you sign up with them.

UPDATE, we gave them a shot for a couple months after the initial bad experience and it only got worse. The crew decided they thought we didn t need a mow this week and moved it to two weeks from now. This is a rental and so we don t like to skip weeks, when we said hey we would like you to still come, they quit and the new crew can t come for two weeks at which point the lawn will be above the normal mow price... this is after the previous review we had week one. AVOID this platform. There must be better ones out there with more reliable crews Original review...We switched to this service because it was supposed to be consistent. We hired them to mow a rental property and the very first mow was schedule for a perfect weather no cloud in the sky Friday and they canceled at 4pm for inclement weather. A new crew was assigned our yard for the next week but because of our schedule (which in the app was selected as not flexible) the new assigned date doesn t work. At this point based on rain our yard will require extra fees to mow because the grass will be too tall due to the first crew canceling. At this point we might as well hire our not as good but cheaper neighbors kid who will forget sometimes but at least show up mostly on the days they are supposed to and not over charge us for their own errors. Any company would be better than the service this app/group of providers offers. Could not be more un satisfied with the way this was handled and this service as a whole. We will be looking into green pal. I recommend you do too.

If I could rate them 0, I would. Dont use this as they dont show up. They change your crew. They caused property damage and when complaint and sent pictures of damages, they have not responded and I have followed up with them 3 times.

DO NOT USE! I had a provider not show up multiple times, and I was told I was too late to dispute and that I couldnt get the charges reversed EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE GPS TRACKING SHOWING MY TECH NEVER SHOWED AND PICTURE PROOF FROM TENANTS! I dont live at the property, it is a rental and so the tenants dont complain unless it is a month or more that the grass hasnt been mowed. Terrible policy to only have 5 days to dispute the charges. UNACCEPTABLE, DO NOT USE!

After my husband died I hired this service but the crew kept rescheduling my service. So I contacted customer service and they were no help. I asked for a new crew after weeks of no mowing and they couldn t find one. They want you to stay for at least 3 mows but can t even get the first mow done.

I had 2 different crews to do weeding and mulching. The company charge my card before the work was done and would not return the money or make sure the work was finished. DO NOT USE THEM

They will call you and spam with text messages until you select their service and never show up. I have confirmed the lawn mowing service last week and they cancelled without informing or calling me via their app stating the demand for lawn care service in your area is high at this time and we can t find a crew fit for your needs . Not professional.

They did not show up for the first mowing. They rescheduled, then they said they mowed the lawn they charged me but my Uncle actually mowed the yard. But I was still charged, my honest opinion do not use this lawn service company, find someone who is honest and reliable

They came once and didnt do a full yard cutting I tried to give them a second chance they not only didnt show up but I called several times then they said someone was on the way then that person never came I would never recommend them to anyone

My spouse and I have had the worst time with this company. My spouse is currently on the phone with the customer service representative for the THIRD time THIS WEEK. We are renting and do not own a lawn mower so we decided to get someone to come out and handle it. We have tried to get them to FINISH one of the mows they never finished TWO WEEKS AGO. I am tired of struggling with them. The customer service representatives are always nice and update the information for us and are very understanding but the mowers need to be reprimanded in some way because they HAVENT FINISHED THEIR JOB. I dont recommend them anymore and after they fix they issues they have caused with our yard, we are changing services.

I had a terrible experience with this company! It took them 3 week to do the very first cut. Since then, they have been very inconsistent. They frequently change cut days, due to weather, or so they claim. Or, they wont cut at all. I just canceled because my grass hasnt been cut in 2 weeks! Save yourself some grief. Scroll past them.

This was a lifesaver for me. I have minimal lawn care needs (mowing a small yard weekly or bimonthly depending on the season) and want to spend as little time as possible dealing with my lawn. This service has allowed me to toggle-on reoccurring mowing service in the spring and mostly relinquish all my lawn-upkeep responsibilities to the crew. Occasionally, I need to see details about the current week s service, to adjust the mowing frequency, to use a different payment method all are easily accomplished within the LawnStarter app. Otherwise, I just set it and forget it! Previously, I tried a few other apps/services for my lawn care needs, but found them to be lacking: inconsistent results and schedules, too much messaging (on an ongoing basis) to coordinate with provider, an app-initiated increase in rates after a few weeks of using the same crew for a reoccurring service, etc. I switched to LawnStarter 18 months ago and have not encountered any such issues. My own experience has been positive, primarily due to my excellent crew: consistent, punctual, quality workmanship, careful and respectful of my property, and communicative regarding any weather-related delays. Given the other reviews, it seems that customer experience may be contingent upon the crew or lawn care provider assigned to you so your mileage may vary.

This company is really terrible. I had a service at some point, and they kept on moving the service. No one reached out to me, I would just go on the app and the service is being moved and then I realized, the person that was supposed to come, no longer works for the company. Eventually when someone came a week later, I got charged a long service fee, calling them to dispute the long service fee, and they said they don t issue refunds. I would not recommend this company at all, they just want your money.

My service was scheduled for a particular day and no one showed up. They rescheduled for later in the week. That was fine; however, no one ever showed up and when I contacted the crew they claimed it was due to inclement weather, which was completely untrue since there was no inclement weather on those days. They rescheduled me for a few days later and still never showed up. Contacted them again and they told me they couldn t come to my house on the scheduled day due to technical issues with the system that would not allow them to gain access to my address. Fine. Rescheduled for today and was told that he would be at my house in two hours. When I arrived home, they clearly never showed up. I ve had it with this company and the crews they employ. My parents also used this company and had to fire them. They paid for services that the crews were not performing even after being asked server all times to do so. Obviously these crews are being allowed to do whatever they want when they want. I would give them zero stars is I could.

Terrible experiences - no shows and customer service issues.

Im just building my business, and Lawnstarter has been a big part of providing a sense of security while I ramp it up. The payouts are usually spot on for the service. This app is, by far, the easiest to use, and it has great ways of looking out for everyone involved. Theyve always responded quickly to any issues, and its easy to get in touch with customers. Ive used all the other apps, and I just dont see why anyone would use any other app, whether youre customer or provider.

These people are by far the worst in booking you jobs that are in your radius and will find you the worst lawns they can find not mention pay.If a customer wants you to wait a week to mow they refuse to pay you a trip fee. They will try and set you up with fake texts to see if you will except a job without LawnStarter involved.They are by far out for thier selfs and will not pay u ever chance they can screw over you!

As I worry about these uncertainties with government restrictions and for some reason lawn care is not considered essential and my Gorman was cited for violations and when talked to customer service about they were very understanding and help me resolve issues and schedule

The first guy who came did a terrible job. Was here less than 10 minutes, did no edge work, and the yard looked terrible. When we called to complain, we were told that they would fix it for free, and give us a $15 credit. They did send someone to fix the yard, who did a nice job, but we were billed $48.99 to have it fixed. When we called to complain about the $48.99 charge, we were told that because we accepted the $15 credit, that we had to pay to have the yard fixed. When asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that I had to register with my e mail to have a supervisor contact me and that it would be up to 24 hours before I would hear from someone. SO basically we were charged $48.99 to fix their mistake. Find someone else to do your yardwork. This company is not trustworthy. I will never use their service ever again.

Quick, easy, cheap and reliable.

These guys are the best! They come, do an amazing job, and really take care. The lawn looks amazing each time they work on it. They are quite professional at what they do. And I thank them for taking care of the lawn. They communicate on time and they let me know in advance if there are any difficulties on their end. I love the communication. It is quite efficient and if I do need to call them I can. But they make sure that every detail is in place. If I need any other type of service they offer they give me a quote before they proceed. I highly recommend this service.

Gave us a 4 day window where someone might show up to cut our grass which is already ridiculous but then they moved our window twice more! That made it 9 days total so we cancelled our services. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Should have known this was not a company I should deal with since the first service I received was not completed. I tried getting some specific work done after a couple adequate mows, but that service was never done. They still charged me full price even though none of it was completed. When I tell them this they said they would reverse the charge, but they never did. I could not recommend these thieves less.

I loved the idea of being able to arrange lawn services through my app. We usually mow our own yard, but with a new baby and during the summer heat, it was difficult. Both my husband and I had increased hours and stress with COVID and we were trying to make our lives easier. How wrong we were!! Let me assure you, I have made a lot of mistakes in my life and using LawnStarter is going towards the top. First, you can choose your preferences of how short you want your grass cut. I chose the shortest option. I got the equivalent of the split ends trimmed from my hair. I said I was displeased and they gave me a $15 credit. You also have to agree to 3 mows. It sounds optional, but it is a contract. I asked them to come back sooner because the long grass was driving me crazy. The next people that came out did an ok job. It was finally short. They missed some spots, but ok. For some reason, my next mow was scheduled for 3 weeks out even though I chose a biweekly schedule. I noticed and have tried for a week to get a mow scheduled. No response from either the crew or LawnStarter support. I only got a response after Googling a phone number because that number is nowhere on the app. I have been told 3 days in a row now that someone will be out. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! If you are someone who cares about how your yard looks and do not want to feel like you are tramping through underbrush when you walk through your yard, please choose ANYONE else. I hope I can save others the frustration I have been experiencing for the last 6 weeks.

It is almost 2 months that LawnStarter gives me lawn moving services. Mr Anton as a lawn mower comes to my home to do his job. This a great service that I receive from this Company. After lawn moving, front and back yards as well as drive ways look so good. Mr Anton under the supervision of this Company makes my yards and gardens attractive and eye catching. I believe that this Company feels responsibility for its customers and then I would like to recommend LawnStarter to other customers and communities with high degree of knowledge.

Absolutely the worst. They push back your service without telling you. They dont do what you ask. The end for me was when I had to follow them around to make sure they did certain things. Then I find out the young man that is on the lawn mower was 14 years old.....like seriously. I find the problem with management because the young men who cut the grass are only doing what they are told. Piss poor management.

DO NOT use this company. They are TERRIBLE. I just moved into a new house and was looking for a new mowing service. As stated on previous reviews, they rescheduled my now 4x without showing up and without notifying me. I was told I had to wait to cancel my service until the window for my mow was up; however, they just continued to change it to a later date. I called and emailed several times and was given the same BS explanation over and over. My grass is now extremely long, and I will likely have to pay an additional fee whenever I can find someone to actually cut it. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

This service cancelled the mowing job three times and did not show up or contact me the fourth time. This was my very first contact/mowing with this company. The grass was a jungle before it was cut. I cancelled their service but now they want to continue for 2 more mows. Had they showed up they would have mowed the yard three times as they desire. Very unprofessional and certainly unreliable. I cannot recommend.

I set up Sep 28th. They told me they would have a crew out in 48 hrs. Well that Got rescheduled. They were suppose to come out 48 hrs later the crew drove right by my house never stopped that was Saturday Oct 3rd. I called and complained, the lady I talked with said we are going to report 1st crew because he told me I could pay him directly, I guess thats a no no. But she said someone will be there monday 48 hr well they could not make it Monday but some one would be at my home on either Oct 6th or Oct 7th. No one came by on the 6th and on the 7th I texted the crew at 7:30am and asked if they could give an ETA. all day I have sat home and at 3:30 pm I get an email the crew is having issues Scheduling and they would have to cancel. Not even a 48 hr notice . They told me someone would be out Thursday or Friday I told them I did not want their service and as for the 3 cut policy they never cut my grass so bull and void. I would never use these people ever again I had a credit but I dont care my wife is in a nursing home with Covid 19 and I am out of work because we have a 20 month old at home so I was relying on them to cut my Lawn to help me out if others are having good luck with them good for you but I have nothing to lie about I have all email I sent and they kept trying to convince me some one would be out bunch of lies. Oh well whether or not no help here good luck

China and her crew really pay attention to even the smallest details. I feel that they are the best crew that has taken care of my yard - a LOT better than the other crews weve had, or frankly anyone else who has ever mowed my yard. I ve never had lawncare done by Lawnstarter, but dealing with the customer service was beyond terrible and was hung up on because I wanted to think about the price overnight. I will not be using Lawnstar because of the bad customer service!

This is by far my worst experience with trying to get my grass cut. I tried for 3 weeks to get lawn service using Lawn Starter with no success. Lawn starter contracts with very poor companies. One mower showed and only mowed part of my front yard (sloppy job) and none of the back. I informed LawnStarter of what happened and was told they would get someone else to mow. However, 2-3 weeks later, no one else has come. The customer service people at Lawn Starter are nice. However, they make promises they can t keep. They don t do anything to make sure the people they contract with are accountable with providing service. My grass is as high as it has ever been. I highly recommend you NEVER use this company. I tried for 3 weeks calling daily at times to this resolved and never received the assistance I needed. I only wanted to use this company because my lawn mover broke. Also, do a google search for this company, you will see many more reviews like mine. Don t waste your time with LawnStarter.

Nothing nicer than having someone cut your lawn when you expect it and also be able to pay via PP or debit card. I was sick and tired of dealing with people who charge high prices because of the wealthier folks moving in and then having to be sure you had exact cash and you never knew when they were coming. This is no fuss, no muss. The sign up process is easy and all online. They ve come out within the scheduled service date and have done a fairly job taking care of my lawn. Today they missed a few spots but it was beginning to rain. I hope it does not grow over 6 before they come back in two weeks as they will charge for grass over 6 inches. I had some weeds they ignored two weeks ago which were under six inches ( the grass in my little yard is mostly clover, & weeds with bit of grass lol) now I ll have to take my chair and clippers and get them before they turn into trees. They could have gotten because they just weed est the entire back yard.

Didnt even get serviced, I got a message that said they were unable to service my lawn, they canceled the service, and then removed my $19 first service credit, dont even try with them...

This company seemed pretty awesome. Someone described it to us as the Uber for lawn mowing. Of course, we signed up. The whole set up is very easy and quick. Spoiler Alert: 3 different appointments, they never showed up... The first crew did not even bother messaging us. They just did not show up. I had to call the customer service and lose 10 minutes of my life to book another date. The employee on the phone was super nice and patient, which was appreciated (hence the 2 stars). But the second crew canceled too and the third one also. We decided to find somebody else. We do not recommend what is now called LawnScammers at our house!

I would leave zero stars if I could...Tried this service for about a month. First, the app asked for my credit card info before I could review their policies. I didnt confirm the booking, but the next day I got an email confirmation saying that I had scheduled lawn care. Since I needed my lawn cut, I let it go and decided to try it (mistake). Second, the crews that came never really did a good job. The lawn was never cut that short, was never edged, clippings were never blown off, and sometimes there were even patches of weeds/grass still untouched. Third, and most disappointing, the last crew that came ran over our internet cable. I informed Lawnstarter and initially, they were very understanding and told me to fill out a property damage form. I did and even included pictures. (It was very clear that the crew had done this, there were mowing lines going over the cable, our internet went down immediately after they left, etc.) Moreover, they didnt even finish the job. However, the crew did not admit it. Customer service became rude, saying I should have had our internet company bury the line - even though there are flags marking the line and previous lawn companies NEVER had a problem, and insinuated I was lying - despite the pictures. No apology, no offer finishing the job, nothing. Cancelled immediately, said I would leave some reviews, so here I am.

Literally the worst app and lawn mowing experience I ve ever had. No one ever shows up, then when your grass gets too long you get an over charge. Support for Lawnstarters is terrible, good luck cancelling your service. They will cancel your service and reactivate without telling you. Have fun with LawnStarter!

Booked online and was told that I was scheduled. They waited until the day of my appointment to tell me that there were no crews available in my area (Franklin) so now the lawn is overgrown. Super unprofessional.

We started using LawnStarter in February. Our first time had to be postponed several times due to the fact that it rained almost every day in February. Once we were finally hooked up with Nimyjah we have been very happy and satisfied with his work. Nimyjah always does a fantastic job on our yard and always makes sure that all the cut grass is blown off from the walkways and the driveway and the patio area. Our yard looks fantastic! The company rep kept repeatidly lying to me that service would be done before finally cancelling. This ended up costing me an extra $32 dollars to have the yard care service done by another company because of overgrowth. On April 17th, I signed up for mowing service. I was told service would be done between 4/19- 4/22. On 4/22 I received a message stating that the person to do the work had a personal problem and could not complete the work and I was rescheduled for 4/25. On 4/25, I received another message from this same person saying that it would not be done because of weather, but then was told it was because he was at another property and mine would be done 4/26. On 4/26, again no one showed, and I was told it would be the morning of 4/27. On 4/27 I received a message saying the lawn person was on their way. This person never showed up. Several hours later I received a message saying LawnStarter was looking for someone else to complete the work. I had already spoken to customer service twice. The first timr she told me I should just continue to wait because it would be 5/1 before she could find anyone else to do the work. Because I was repeatedly lied to that someone was coming and following the recommendation to wait it out, my yard overgrew and I had to pay someone extra. More than twice that it was supposed to cost. I tried to reach out to the company and through the BBB. BBB contacted them. The company did not respond either.

I never write reviews but this service is so bad I feel like other people should know before they try to sign up. (To preface this I want to point out that LawnStarter offers customers $20 off their next service for posting a positive review and I m sure that s the only reason it s rated as highly as it is.) The first time was great. The crew showed up when expected and did a good job. The second time I got a new crew who came and then messaged me that they couldn t mow my lawn for the price that LawnStarter set. So LawnStarter apologized and sent a new crew who two days in a row told me what time they d be coming and never showed up both days. So LawnStarter assigned a third crew who cut half my yard and said I d need to pay them extra to come back and didn t do the rest. Also customer service is awful. They re polite but I m pretty sure it s just so you ll think your issue is going to get fixed but usually they don t actually do anything to help. Plus they avoid calls from existing customers and will even hang up on you while they ask you to hold. If you ever need to call them, just say you re a new customer and you ll get someone right away. I m still currently trying to figure out if I m going to get a refund or the service I paid for, but I m definitely canceling the subscription. There s no reason a business should contract crews without making sure they re professionals who are going to show up. There s also no reason they should advertise a price for a service if that s not the price the crews are willing to work for and force the customer to figure out the resulting issues with the crew. LawnStarter is way more trouble than it s worth and I wouldn t recommend it to anyone. TLDR: unprofessional crews, customer service reps are unhelpful, and consistent lack of communication between the service, the crews, and the customer. Definitely don t use LawnStarter.

I never ever write google reviews. That in and of itself should say how much I was disappointed with these guys. Very confusing. Never know who im talking too.. I attempted to stay patient after my first cut to see if it was just a scheduling conflict. It wasnt, they tried to charge me after literally no one showing up to cut my lawn and then when I want to dispute it, they wanted to still charge half of what they charged for literally nothing getting cut. Would not recommend to anyone. I cancelled my membership and let them know how frustrated I was and they literally didnt acknowledge or try to fix anything. They simply just gave the whole business BS apology sorry to see you go Will be DE RECOMMENDING.

Ran over my A/C unit and cost me over $3,000 to fix. Working with these clowns to fix it has been a complete nightmare. What do you mean the random guy off the street YOU sent to my property to mow has no liability insurance? They were sent by YOU!

This service is horrible. They rescheduled me three times and on the third time they told me it would be way more than what they originally agreed on. They said it was due to the yard having high grass. Now, I wonder why? Probably because they rescheduled me 2 different times before that. Not a good business. Ill never use then again and I suggest anyone who wants to, dont. Find someone else.

Absolutely the worst. Let our lawn get too long by not showing up and then wanted to charge us extra for long grass. When we tried to find out what was going on, they kept pushing our lawn mowing back another day. They wouldn t speak to us about our questions or concerns. Horrible customer service.

Very disappointed. No accountability and communication. Crew changed multiple times and schedule changed multiple time causing skip on mowing but still being charged. They dont notify before they change the crew. You never know who is going to show up. its a very bad business model.

If you do the job correctly you can make more out of it. Just saying. Is it hard?, Yes. But dont give up, Lawn starter is your gateway to start up your business.

Horrible service. Customer service representatives are quick to assure you that they understand your frustration and that timely service is a value of theirs - not true. Our yard hasn t been mowed in over four weeks. After the third attempt to reach out, our crew was replaced with a new one who bailed ON THE FIRST SCHEDULED MOW due to inclement weather. For reference, the forecast for both the last and next three days has been and will be sunny and 85-92. Hendersonville, TN is NOT the place to try LawnStarter if you enjoy a polished lawn. Incredibly embarrassing to have even been a part of all of this. Buyer beware.

They always make my lawn look great

I signed up because the app was nice and looked professional, and I needed our lawn mowed after our mower bit the dust (and I hadn t bought a new one yet). The guy they were supposed to send never showed up, and a few days later, when I contacted the service, they said they would send someone else - but for another week. My lawn already needed to be mowed badly and was getting worse. I told them this was unacceptable and to cancel my service agreement. I found someone else to mow it who showed up the same day. Three days later, I get an email from lawnstarter saying my service is scheduled for tomorrow and they are sending someone out. The incompetence of how they ve handled everything to this point has me bracing for when I probably will get charged for work they didn t do. Go with someone else. Their customer service is abysmal.

This is a great service. My property was serviced the next day after I signed up. Taskeasy jacked me around for 4 weeks. Harold did a fabulous job. Love this company

My experience with LawnStarter has been BAD. When I found them on google and sent a message, they were really quick in calling me, explaining their pricing and scheduling etc., Fixed up an appointment for last Tuesday and there s as absolutely no communication and on Monday late hours my appointment got cancelled on its own. I have been trying to call their number since then and no luck. I messaged the rep who spoke to me on the mobile number I had but got a auto response asking me to contact their service desk. Don t like this attitude and will never do any business with them.

I m so happy to have found out about LawnStarter. They re super fast, friendly, very well priced and do a fantastic job. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I spent 4 hours this morning trying to resolve a scheduling conflict (I was on a bi-weekly service and they scheduled me 6 days from my last cut) and only received one email from the company. I eventually got fed up with waiting on them to get in contact with me and tried to cancel my service. Long story short, I left another voicemail and I m still on the hook for a service that I don t want and I m out $40 because this company doesn t know how to communicate with their customers. Take your money elsewhere, if you ever have to get in touch with their customer service it s non existent.

I really liked how I could do it all online or download an app. But I did talk to someone and they were super friendly and most important didnt treat me like I was a burden for having preferences like a really short cut lawn and tight edges. Ill be sticking with them an recommending them to everyone.

This is a valuable service for no worries lawn care. Been using since June and have been very happy with the whole experience. Good email communication on upcoming and when service is completed.

We contacted lawnstarter and they answered almost immediately. We set up an appointment to have then come out Monday or Tuesday. The guy came Sunday and BUTCHERED our front lawn. I mean, cut it unevenly, dumped grass in random spots, and left circles in our yard. The back yard was cut decently but the front yard was a disaster. When I contacted lawnstarter they looked at the pictures he sent to verify his work and, without me saying a word, pointed out all of the flaws in the yard. She said I could either try and dispute it to get my money back but Lawnstarter would side with the guy because he *technically* cut the grass so I would get no money back, or I could just accept half off the cut and they could reschedule me a new team to come out and cut it. So, we did that. About a week later, I decide to just cancel the whole service all together. When I contact them to do that they told me that my account had already been closed out due to no crews being able to come to my area... without informing me that they were closing the account. So, HORRIBLE company. Do not use.

I think this could honestly be described as both a service and a Customer Service issue. I contacted LawnStarter in April 2018, chiefly to complete weeding and mulching of my quarter acre lot. I was quoted one price, then another, ultimately totaling $588. The guy that came out to complete the job failed miserably, did not complete weeding, did not complete mulching, and the pieces he DID complete were very poorly and partially done. They didnt even lift the hose to mulch under it, they just sprinkled around it! I was immediately in contact with this individual (acting as a LawnStarter agent, mind you) to express my dissatisfaction, and he confirmed that he would fix it and make it right. After agreeing to this and setting a date, he never came back - and never returned my calls nor texts. Now, since Ive waited too long to contact LawnStarter - believing their agent would make good on their promise - theyre unwilling to correct their extremely poor and unacceptable service - a service I paid $588 for. Ive contacted them several times to try and resolve this, and have gotten nowhere. Therefore, Im left with no other options other than to contact the BBB. It has been almost 30 days since filing a complaint and we STILL have not heard from LawnStarter. Please save your time and money and do not use them.

Well I tried this for the first time today. The front yard looks good. The back was poorly done. Patches not even cut. There was no effort to make it look nice; they did not blow the grass in any areas where you would expect it. I provided some feedback and this is the message I got back I hope you like cutting your own grass. Maybe next time you will think about actually paying full price for your services. It was not my idea to offer the first cut at a discount. If the crews out there are going to do a crappy job because of that, maybe Lawnstarter should do away with it. I am blown away at the unprofessional way this was handled.

These guys have done an awesome job on my girlfriends lawn for the last few months. Highly recommend.

We have been happy with Lawnstarter . Customer service has been great. Setup was easy. The App is easy to use. Our gardener Elijah has been so responsive. The app is useful to communicate back and forth with him. There were a few things that I noticed that werent done, I let him know, and he responded the next day and did a nice job. Great service, great gardener, so happy!

Melvin has been cutting my lawn for about two months now. Ive never met the guy but he is my hero. My weeks are always so busy, I usually forget about the scheduled service. I go about my day, getting work done at school, then immediately going to work in east Nash. Around 6 pm, I arrive home, and pull into my driveway. At that time, Im constantly stunned by the beautiful job that Melvin does. The setting sun hits the freshly trimmed grass and shimmers like gold. A single tear falls from my left eye and I smile in satisfaction. My day is better, my serotonin levels are boosted, and I fall asleep a happy man. Thank you Melvin for making my day, every other week. God Bless You.

This is a horrible horrible company. Would never recommend them to anyone. I ve had to have them change my crew four times in one season because they re all so unprofessional. Their customer service is ridiculous. Even if you get a bad cut or they don t complete the mowing properly the company does absolutely nothing about it they just say they will send you somebody else next time or make sure it never happens again ( which they don t actually do ) and they still charge you the full price. Several times my patio has not been blown and left completely covered in grass. Sloppy cutting jobs. Extremely disappointed with this company.

I previously used LawnStarter to have grass cut at a rental property. I was notified by my tenant that the assigned crew had been cutting the front, but not the back yard for about 2 months. Despite doing a half job, they communicated full completion of mows and charged me full price. When I reached out to LawnStarter to resolve the issue, I was told I would be contacted by the escalations team. Instead I received an email where the issue was flatly denied, and I was told Id receive refund. Im shocked by such poor customer experience. Not only was there no follow through on the commitment to call, but the impersonal and flat denial with no investigation is surprising and unacceptable. If they are not willing to mediate issues like this, im not clear what value they provide, and why I should pay them. Will never use the service again, and will make sure others know about this issue.

Pure garbage - their agents, customer service, leadership, you name it. They 100% jobbed me out of $588 and refuse to make it right. Ive tried the BBB, and shocker - LawnStarter wont even return the communication attempts. They do a horrible and incomplete job. GARBAGE. Zero stars. I just had to give one in order to post.

From terrible experience working with previous contractors I had finally opted to just mowing my own lawn. None of the lawn care professionals around me that I used seemed to do that great of a job (I live in Oak Hill). Finally, a friend had recommended these guys and I gave it one last try and have been really impressed so far. I think the biggest differential is their level of communication. I have called on three separate times to reschedule or change things up and its always an instantaneous process.

I bought my first house last year and within a week of moving in I planted three apple trees and two grapevines. For those who dont know, grapevines are more like trees than plants - they take several years to bear fruit and live for decades. Ive been cultivating mine for about a year now and they just hit their stride - they were exploding with new growth until my LawnStarter provider mowed them today. The picture points to where they used to be - they were several feet tall, attached to the fence and quite hard to miss. I made sure to point them out before my first mow, and LawnStarter confirmed today that they were listed in my profile notes. I understand mistakes happen but its unfortunate that this level of carelessness cost me not only a year of TLC gardening but something of sentimental value as well. ***EDIT: This review was previously 1 star but LawnStarter made right their mistake and took great care of me. Matt from their customer service team reached out and followed up many times to make sure I was taken care of. They reimbursed me for the cost of new grapevine plants, as well as for a few new additional plants so that I could expand my garden. What happened was a bummer but I couldnt have asked for better customer service in making things right.

I would never recommend this company. If I could give zero stars, I would. One star implies that they actually earned one star. Except, they did absolutely nothing for me, though they pretended to schedule lawn care service at my home without informing me until the morning of that they actually couldnt find anyone. So, no lawn care and five wasted days when I could have been looking for someone to actually mow my growing lawn. They were unresponsive after that and Im not even entirely sure it wasnt a scam to get my credit card information. Cannot be trusted. Do yourself a favor and use Angies List to find yourself someone who will do what you need.

My lawn was mowed two days apart and I was charged for my weekly service. When I called to tell law starter that I wasnt happy that my lawns were mowed two days apart and I still had to pay for a weekly service when it was close to two weeks between the first two mows and then two days between the next two, I was basically told that I was lying! I do not recommend this company. Go to a company that is direct with the mower. What a waste of money!

Ive been using lawnstarter for a few weeks now and felt they deserved a good review. A buddy of mine uses them on his place in Austin and told me they were opening up in Nashville so I gave them a shot. In the past Ive used some of the bigger lawn services and run into issues but the quality of work and customer service from lawnstarter have been great so far. A+
