James did a few of my local properties in muncie. We had agreed on a bi weekly schedule. I had him out for the first cut and my tenants and I had a few complaints. Downspout extensions were removed and placed on front porch and not put back, grass was on the sidewalk, and sticks were thrown around into other yards. He did attempt to remedy and acted like it was no problem. He went back to each property and either a neighbor or tenant helped us out prior to his arrival. Instead of sharing he was not pleased with the feedback, he decided he was not going to continue with the bi weekly without any communication. A month has gone by and I reach out on my own end to find out he is not coming back. I find the lack of communication, acceptance of criticism and response warrants a poor review. After this, I would not be able to recommend Ultimate Lawn Services to any one.
Ultimate Lawn Service did a fantastic job with my yard. They came once a week and mowed and never had any issues with them. Would keep using them if it wasn't for a neighborhood minor looking for work.

I contracted Ultimate Lawn to take care of a few empty lots that I own. This has been the best decision. They are reliable, provide pictures and updates and notify you of any changes or needs. Communication has been timely and prompt. I would highly recommend!
What fast and amazing service! We moved into a home where the grass was not maintained. It was too much for us to do ourselves. They came out quickly for a quote and set us up on a regular schedule to keep it looking great. They were done quickly and arrived when they said.

They are covering multiple properties for us. Despite me being horrible at messaging back in a timely manner, he is always prompt to return my calls/messages and get our needs met. Also, he has beat out his competitors on price in the muncie area and fishers/noblesville area. We are satisfied so far and hope they will keep competitive prices and quality in the future.
Quoted me, scheduled me, then no called no showed and just expected it would be fine to show up whenever without so much as a courtesy call. I would have been fine with rescheduling but they didn t even bother to let me know they d be delayed because of rain . Very disappointed

I had a very tall hedge that we wanted removed, along with the stump of a tree and a few other sizable bushes that needed removed. They came and remove it all, used a stump grinder on it all, and put down grass seed for us. They also blew out all the remaining leaves from last year and mowed our lawn and I have to tell you, it looked beautiful. Ive received compliments from several neighbors about how good it already looks and how open the yard is now and we love it! Already talking with them about more landscaping jobs for the future!

This is a family-owned business: When you work with Ultimate Lawn Care, you know you re not just putting money back into the local economy and community, but you re also making it possible for a great family to carry out their dream of being business owners, which feels awesome. (You re not just paying another franchise stranger like TruGreen.) On top of that, I ve known the McIvers for almost 10 years now and they are one of the most kind-hearted (and happy!) families I ve ever met. James McIver almost always shows up to work with one of his sons. They re somewhat quiet and focused guys, so don t be put-off by a lack of chit-chat! Just enjoy the fact that your yard work will be done for you quickly, professionally, and a great price. I think my favorite thing about Ultimate Lawn Care is that they arrive and finish work SO quickly, and paying them is incredibly quick too: I can do it on my phone! This company accepts payment through the Cash App (and possibly Venmo, not sure). Every two weeks when I hear the lawn mower go past my window I know I just need to pull out my phone, type 2 numbers in, and I m all done. As an introvert who works from home, I like they they just show up, do the job, and head out, too, so if I m in a work meeting I m not interrupted, nor will my dogs start barking their heads off when the door is knocked. They re fast, and even with my large lawn the work is usually done in under 20 mins. And I don t really even have to think about it since I m on a schedule with them. The fee is also totally reasonable: I bet some of you reading this probably pay more for cable tv every month! :) It s not a hard bill to pay especially knowing that this is one more chore we don t have to do, and going out to eat would cost us more. If I had any feedback, it would be that it would be great sometimes to get a heads up before they arrive or a reminder text the day before. But I don t think that would be hard to implement for them. (To be honest, I haven t even asked for this yet hahah) They re a newer business and are doing great for this stage in their company. Just ask for what you need and I m sure they ll accommodate. The 5-star reviews here are the most accurate ones. The 1-star was clearly a miscommunication, which happens sometimes and I wouldn t fault anyone for. Definitely choose this company over a franchise!

Unfortunately this guy uses equipment to do his business that he has repaired out of town where he writes bad checks for the repairs. Look him up, he is being garnished for being a dead beat bad check writer multiple times over.
I cant comment on the guys work (since he backed out of the project.) What I can attest to is the unprofessionalism displayed by him. At first, it was great. Told him the services I wanted, he came to look around, and then sent me a quote. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed the project done in a quick manner. (All this was done via text, which will be relevant here in a moment.) I reached out to him on a Tuesday night. Came that evening and sent the quote the next day. Thought the price was reasonable, and he stated he could come that following Monday. I then wrote him and asked him if he could text me about a half hour before he was done so I could arrange to leave work and come pay him. He then wrote that me being here and paying him before he left my property wasnt good enough; I had to be here and pay him before he started (a bit sketchy, to say the least, but like I said, I was in a crunch.) So, OK, the next morning I texted him and asked him to please tell me approximately what time he thought hed be at my house so I could arrange to be there. This was between 7 and 8 in the morning. By late afternoon, I still hadnt heard anything, so I sent yet another text asking for an estimated time of arrival so I could arrange to pay the guy before he even did any work. Still hours after that, I get a reply finally about how hes going to pass on the job. Just completely, wildly unprofessional. For two days, I hadnt contacted any other company because this guy had committed to the job. Offered once to meet him before he even left my house and offered twice to meet him before he even started doing any work. Then to completely ignore me for a full day and back out of a commitment - yeah, needless to say Im glad I didnt pay this guy a single cent. In conclusion, this is not a review of his work. It may be great. But, if you want a reliable, integrity-driven lawn company, Id definitely look elsewhere. (The only reason for the one star is so I can make this post. If it were possible to leave negative stars for unprofessionalism, I would do so.)
