They are a pleasure to work with, responsive every step of the way, professional, talented and knowledgeable, supplied healthy, beautiful plants and trees, and just are all around nice people! Couldn't think of working with any other company for our future projects!

Dryno and the crew at Green Grass are top notch. Very diligent and responsive to all of my requests. They did my entire property design and installation and now we are using them for maintenance. I would highly recommend them to family/friends and strangers.

My husband and I can't rave enough about the beautiful work Green Grass did on renovating our yard in downtown Charleston. Joel Dodd is a dream with whom to work and he set us up with an incredibly talented landscape architect. She designed a parking pad for two cars on the street, a planting plan, and lighting. As soon as the designs were approved by the City, Joel and his team got right to work installing it and completed it on time AND on budget. The parking area is a tremendous upgrade. The plants Joel chose were fantastic--mature, gorgeous, and lush. Instead of having to wait a season or two for things to grow, we immediately had a beautiful landscape to enjoy. Green Grass really listened to what we wanted and paid attention to the details. We give them our highest recommendation!

Joel and his team at Green Grass are a treasure. We contacted them about renovating our landscape in downtown Charleston. They connected us with a terrific landscape architect who designed the planting plan, a parking pad on the street, lighting, and fence repairs and upgrades. Joel took it from there, got to work quickly. Before they could start, the hurricane took out two huge trees and flattened part of our fence. Joel quickly ensured something was put in place to keep our two dogs safe until they could repair the fence permanently. Now that's customer service! The plants he selected for us were gorgeous--all were luscious, mature, and healthy. From start to finish, they planned and executed our project beautifully! Joel really listened to what we wanted and helped us envision even more than we originally requested. There were no surprises on the bill and the punch list is just waiting on warmer weather to put in a few last plants. We give Joel our highest recommendation! You'll enjoy working with him!

I first became acquainted with Joel and Green Grass Landscaping when they completed a lawn cleanup for me. They were professional and took a disaster and made it workable. When I decided to do a complete landscape project from design to installation, I knew Green Grass would be one of the first companies I would contact because of the wonderful experience I had with them before. I was NOT disappointed. My landscaping looks like my own personal park! Joel listened to my desires and designed a perfect plan! Joel Dodd and his team at GreenGrass LLC have just finished up a major landscaping/hardscaping project (really, numerous projects combined) at our Daniel Island home – and we could not be more pleased. We are actually thrilled with the outcome. The job consisted of an entire “re-do” of original builder work. We added numerous beautiful palms, new foundation plants and extensive decorative landscaping, new sod, new irrigation, new lighting, and a new outdoor patio area. We also re-did a pathway and stairs, from concrete and wood to an amazing brick lay out. They also did an extensive trim of our overgrown oaks and generally property clean up. The work was performed beautifully. This company takes great pride in its work and when it comes to hardscape – brick walkway, patio, paths – they employ true artisans. Our new curved brick walk way from the driveway through to the entrance is a work of art. Almost as importantly – and very unusually, in my experience – these guys answer calls, texts and emails almost immediately, including evenings and weekends. I work full time and being able to email and text, and get answers in the evening and on the weekend was truly welcome. Joel would often text me for an approval, sending photos or providing suggestions, making the job move forward smoothly. I don’t think I have ever worked with a building/contractor/landscaper this responsive. Actually I know I haven’t. The job was completed on time and in budget. Our yard is now a true showcase. We feel very fortunate that our designer recommended Joel and GreenGrass. And they need to change their name – they are very much a general contractor when it comes to large projects. Ours even included running electric, Joel and his team handled everything. Much more than green grass! Lastly, Joel and his team were a pleasure to work with. Patient, pleasant, nice guys.
