R&L Custom Landscape and Tree Service in Mt Laurel Township

In oct 2021, used R & L to put a two foot crushed stone border around my house. They did it when we were away for a weekend. I checked the sides of the house and paid him. A day later, I check the back of the house. The crew covered 3 sprinkler heads and did not install 16 feet of an aluminum border. I called 2x and emailed 1 x. no response. winter came. I emailed 2x in the spring, saw one of his crews near my house and gave the crew a note to give to him. No response. If you use R & L, check the entire job before paying and pay by check so if needed you can stop payment on the check.

Hired R&L on fairly short notice to remove a large tree that was damaged in a storm, grind the stump, and trim several other large trees. Rich was extremely responsive from the very beginning, came out quickly to give us a quote, and had his crew here the next day. All 4 guys on the crew were super friendly, professional, and courteous. Their attention to detail was superb, and frankly quite refreshing. The price we paid for these services was fair, and well worth the quality of work. I would hire R&L again in a heartbeat.

We needed 6 large trees removed to put a septic system in. Rich and his crew were very courteous, professional , on time, cleaned up and gave us a fair price. They even cut tree pieces to size and stacked them for our fire pit! Would hire them again if I needed work done.

I've worked with R&L for a few years now. In addition to doing a great job removing three trees from my property, they also redid several beds in my backyard. The new beds made such a big difference in the feel of my outdoor space. I found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. All of the work was completed on-time and within budget. VERY HAPPY with their services. Highly recommended.

Tony R Mount laurel NJ i have patio of tile on top of 5 inches of concrete i need taken up to prepare for a larger patio. I called Rich and had him come give me a quote to remove it and take it away . He gave me a fair price and told me he'd call me the day before they were coming. He called and the guys showed up and in less than 3 hours had the concrete , broken up, and taken out with no sign there ever was a patio there. They were quick, skilled, precise and efficient. They did everything he said they would do. I would hire them again without question. He's an honorable guy, works hard for his money.

Recently had R&L come out to install sod. In the process they also replaced my sprinkler system and set it to water twice a day. Two weeks later the sod was laying over and browning. Although Rich said he would stop by to check on it periodically, I never heard from him, even after repeated texts. Finally he came out to say the lawn died because of too much water. I told him he set the watering schedule and then he blamed it on people walking over the lawn. After nearly $6000 my lawn looks horrendous and will likely need to be replaced. He is completely uninterested in even discussing how to fix the issue. I have had numerous landscapers work on my yard over the years and have never experienced anyone so unprofessional. Unless you want to have a nightmare experience, my advice would be to steer clear.

I have used R & L for all of my landscaping and tree removal for over 10 years. I have found them to always provide great and reliable service at a fair price.
