We originally started with a different company than Skagit Brothers, they left our yard a disaster for a year. We had a horrible experience with them financially, communication wise and timing. Skagit brothers came in and were the exact opposite and fixed what I thought wasn’t even able to be fixed anymore. Isaias was very honest and straightforward about what needed to be done. His wife was amazing, fast and organized to make sure we stayed in budget after losing so much from the previous landscaping company. They were flexible with a new fencing style we asked for. Redid all the pavers, added a step with lighting under the slider, added water faucets and electrical outlets to the back, and created an extra parking space in the front of my home. Him and his crew did this all in a month. I would easily go back to them with any future projects and recommend them to anyone else! We have a blank slate to start putting our yard back together and it all came out amazing.
Isaias and his team did amazing work! They were fast and professional and a pleasure to work with. Definitely plan to have him do all my landscaping in the future!
Review of Skagit Brothers Landscaping & Design, Nov 30, 2024 Overall Rating: 5 stars The project: to (1) use pavers to improve a gravel approach to the main entrance of the house and to reclaim an area of gravel driveway to be replaced with sod, (2) similarly improve a gravel walkway through gardens with pavers, and (3) create a paved terrace on an unfinished and unattractive slope from an existing paved courtyard, which also created a drop off from an existing patio. The company was one of three bidders. Their bid was detailed and timely. The company lead, Isaias, spent quite a long time with us to determine what we wanted before preparing the bid. He was aware of drainage issues, and laid the pavers so that rainwater would drain away from the house. He had aesthetic suggestions up front, and as the project progressed, which were welcomed. The crew was on time, were courteous, and worked very quickly and skillfully. There was significant 'project creep' from the original bid to job completion - more gravel driveway to remove, more topsoil to put down, more sod to install, and a significant enlargement of the terrace. The team took these modifications in stride, with the understanding that these modifications would add to the cost. The cost overrun was about 7% over the original estimate, and was, in my opinion, completely proportional to how I had expanded the scope of the work. No complaints on that issue. I am very pleased with the end result. The 'fit' of the pavers to one another, to curves in the path, and to existing rocks that form garden terraces, was very good. The team was tidy, cleaned up after themselves, and when the job was finished and the crew gone, it was almost as though they had never been there. I performed the final cleaning with a garden hose to remove the last bits of concrete dust (from sawing the pavers) and residual sand, and was pleased to see that the pavers were, as promised, pitched just enough to drain the water away from the house. A great job. I would recommend this company to a friend.
Skagit Brothers Landscaping Review We recently hired Skagit Brothers Landscaping (SBLS) to build a retaining wall, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, their professionalism and attention to detail stood out. During the initial visit, they were incredibly patient, taking the time to explain the entire process and even providing alternative ideas and multiple quotes to fit our needs. They went above and beyond by sending us a photo preview of what the finished project would look like, which really helped us visualize the outcome. The crew was excellent—hardworking, polite, and meticulous. They cleaned up the worksite at the end of each day and were open to making small adjustments as the project progressed. They even relocated sprinklers when the wall placement interfered with existing locations, which was a huge help. The finished product exceeded our expectations. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding, and their pricing was very reasonable. We highly recommend Skagit Brothers Landscaping and will definitely use them for future projects!
Isais and his crew did an amazing job on our back yard makeover project. This was no small project as they had to remove a 30 year old 80' long bamboo screen wall that had become a nightmare to keep under control. Not only that but they removed two large stumps, two kiwi trees and leveled the yard. Then they proceeded to install a beautiful paver pad and pathway and finished it off with river rock, plants and a cedar fence. Skagit Bothers Landscaping was very good at communicating their schedule and very good at following up at the end to make sure we were happy. We could not be happier with the job they did and we would highly recommend them for any landscaping project you might have. Thank you Isais!!
We used then for a stone patio. They did a great job! Very beautiful work. They are thoughtful and hard working. They went above and beyond what was expected. They were able to tie into our established French drain. Will definitely hire them for future projects. Wonderful group of people!! Highly recommend.
I can only report good things about Skagit Brothers Landscaping. We recently bought a house with an ankle-busting paver pathway through the yard. After receiving a bid to replace it from another landscaper, we tried to schedule a time for the job to occur -- silence for 6+ weeks. We finally gave up and looked for another firm. My wife found Skagit Bros and we were instantly hopeful. Isaias showed up exactly when he said he would to measure and plan. We talked and he promised a bid the next day. Bingo. His bid was about 20% less than the other guys! When we asked for a commitment for the day the job would start he quoted us one about 3 weeks out. When that date was approaching he messaged that they were 2 days behind schedule with other jobs. Isaias and his team then showed up early at 7:15 AM on the new date and got right to work. The whole team was excellent and the result 3 days later has us smiling from ear to ear. Isaias -- please tell your team how much we appreciate their skill and hard work! Great job. We would use Skagit Brothers Landscaping and Design again without hesitation.

Our front yard had a horrible slope between the lawn and street. It was hard to weed and maintain, and far too slippery, so we called Skagit Brothers. Isaias came right away and within 12 hours we had a design and cost estimate to install a retaining wall, create a more serviceable flower bed, and a combination of flowers, bushes, and tree that will beautify the front. He and his crew came, moved and removed the dying plants that were there, several layers of weed fabric, and lava rock. They built a proper retaining wall, plumb, true, and level (with proper attention to drainage), then filled up and built up the land behind the wall, topping it with good soil and mulch. Additionally, instead of using the former retaining wall boulders as part of the backfill, they re-purposed the stones around the flower beds, adding interest and beauty to the overall design. Two things to note: We asked other companies for bids, design ideas, and estimates. One came out and looked but never took measurements or bothered to provide design ideas or estimates. Skagit Brothers came, took measurements, drew up a plan, provided a professional line-item estimate and bid, and were able to come and do the work sooner than we had anticipated. Theyve done several projects for us and are super-easy to work with. Dedicated, professional, and attentive to detail -- and on-budget! Before and after photos from 2 directions.

Skagit Brothers Landscaping completed a multitude of projects on our property that were all done with exceptional quality, professionalism and exceeded our expectations enhancing our overall landscape. They designed and installed an irrigation system for our lawn and shrubbery, even adding an additional system for our garden. They completed a beautiful capped stone wall surrounding our backyard along with matching stone steps out the back. Removed a large tree and trimmed several large trees in the yard. All the projects were done on time and within a reasonable budget!! They communicated throughout the projects and continued follow up after completion, especially the fine tuning of the irrigation system. I will use Skagit Brothers again and I highly recommend them for any project you may have.

We needed old lava rocks removed and retaining walls installed and dirt banks stabilized. Skagit Brothers came, measured, listened, made recommendations, and did the work quickly, efficiently, carefully, professionally, and beautifully. Isaias gave a very fair bid for the work to be completed in my backyard. Removal of grass, new topsoil, some new sod, and new fine black mulch. I also had new mulch spread in the front garden areas. The team was able to get in earlier than we had hoped for. They worked quickly to clean up the yard from ivy and old piles of branches. Two days worth of work and the yard looks so much better! And they were careful to repair any damage from their equipment so everything was restored.
They were prompt in scheduling and worked around your schedule. They jobs was done really well and they cleaned when they were done and then followed up to see how it went. We were impressed and will be using them for future projects.

If youre hesitant, dont be. Quick easy and affordable. I called to get a quote. The lady on the phone was super friendly.she was able send someone within 20min. Isaiah asked all the correct questions in order to satisfy my needs. My back yard was being taken over by the lush woods. A couple days later Skagit brothers team came and conquered. We even discovered a walkway! They left my backyard looking soo beautiful. The thing I was most impressed with was being on time. He said 8am. And he was here ready to go. The team works quick and efficiently. I will be using this company many times. I will definitely recommend my friends and family.

I hired Isaias and his crew to do several landscaping projects around my newly constructed home. These included adding topsoil and grass, constructing a large staircase as well as a smaller one, and adding a drainage trench with perforated piping that was then covered in drain rock. They also installed a beautiful patio with flagstone pavers. All work was done in a very timely manner and I was more than pleased with the outcome and quality of their work. The workers were all kind and respectful and paid attention to all details. They came up with some great ideas of their own on the staircases and we implemented these and it all came out perfect. I would strongly recommend them and will contact them again if another landscaping project comes up. This is a small family owned business so you will receive more personalized attention than larger companies and they really strive 100% to keep their customers happy with their projects. Their fees seemed competitive and reasonable as well.
My husband and I are so happy with our retaining wall, and now we are able to actually use our backyard! They were able to level our sloping yard, and build up the uneven terrain. Their estimate was very reasonable compared to the others we received, and they were flexible with some changes we made during the project. We will definitely use them again in the future for any big project!

Isaias and Skagit Brothers Landscaping is the first landscaping company I ve used in the past four years here in Skagit County that actually knows what they are doing and takes the time to do a great job! Not only do they do well with all landscaping/clean up, transplanting, spreading compost & mulch - Isaias is also the first one I ve found (after 4 previous cos.) that really understands irrigation systems and how to get them operating correctly. He also recently installed a brick walkway along the side of my garage that looks great. I m very happy that we hired Skagit Bros for our landscaping project. Isaias and his crew arrived on time and worked hard the entire time they were here. Isaias is a good listener and completed the project more beautifully than I imagined it could be. They reset and replaced stone steps which go uphill on an uneven slope and they are better now than when originally made. They also created 2 paved sitting areas using the old steps/pavers. Again, beautifully completed and better than I imagined. They also completed 2 days of general yard cleanup and bark. The crew listened to me and showed great care for our plants. Liz, at the office communicated throughout the project and was very helpful. I have recommended Skagit Bros to friends and family, and I will definitely call them for all future projects.

Isaias Martinez did a great job removing a maple tree which sat over the top of a busted water mainline and in order to repair the waterline the tree had to be uprooted and removed. The boys had a challenging job removing the tree due to the saturated ground which was still covered in mud and water, but I was up against the clock and the boys didnt let me down. I would hire Skagit Brother again in the future and recommend them to my friends, the scope and quality of their work went beyond my expectations.
