Your representative, MICHAEL, came over to apply application to my lawn yesterday. In the 10 years I ve been with tru green, he was the first person that I have spoken to at length. He educated me about my lawn and some new things that were coming up, or had come up in a hurricane, i.e. worms in your soil. He told me that s what they were treating for today and I really hit it off with MICHAEL. He represented your company to the 100% of being professional and knowledgeable. It was nice to connect with the real person on the other side of the labor market. Kudos to Michael for doing a great job and I hope he goes far in your company , and give him a lunch on me if you can !

Signed up for lawn and tree service July 7, 2024. Services were scheduled for 7/15 and 7/22. Trugreen showed up July 8 unannounced, idling in front of my driveway. The truck did not park directly in front of my house as if it was trying to hide from being seen. I was curious on why they were here. Nothing was done, but a sign placed in my yard. The next day I am charged for lawn treatment. The invoice states fertilizer and treatment for weeds was applied. We live in an age when cameras are present on homes and people work from home. Therefore, how does Derek Lamar, Daniel Traub, and Trugreen believe that clients are that easily deceived? When I called Trugreen to inform them, they said we will send someone out for reapplication at no charge. Seriously? Should I expect to see Derek Lamar the charlatan again? I hope not.

Jonquial did an outstanding job with our mosquito treatment. He went over all the potential problem areas. I would recommend Tru Green and Jonquil . Very nice to work with.

I normally dont write reviews. When I do, is either really good or really really bad. Unfortunately, they are the REALLY REALLY BAD ONES!!! I wish I can give NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! I am currently looking for lawn care companies for my lawn. A guy called me today from the morrisville office, he gave me a quote of $600s for the size of my lawn, whereas my neighbors about the same size only pay around $300s. Then he said he can give me a discount down to $400s, I said I have to think about it first, because I already heard a lot of bad things about TruGreen from my neighbors, a lot of people cancelled their service because they will never tell you when they are coming, you will never know what they did or if they did what they claimed they did. Also their results are not always satisfactory, and customer service is BAD. I am writing this review because that guy from the MORRISVILLE office, he was very RUDE! He hang up on me after I said I have to think about it. He said whats there to think about? And then he hang up! We are talking about HUNDREDS of dollars, not just grocery shopping?! I cant just think about it?! I work in the hospitality field, so I value customer service a lot! I dont care if you are a national brand, I dont care how much good reviews you have. If thats how you do business, how you treat potential customers. You will go downhill eventually. Based on the hearsay from the neighbors; their HUGE differences on the prices for similar size lawn; and their TERRIBLE customer service! I WOULD NEVER EVER USE TRUGREEN!!!! And I advise whoever wants to start using them, prepare for the WORST customer service experience you will ever have!

Im not sure if my technician is always the same young man, but the gentleman doing my yard today is great at his job. Very personable. Easy to talk to, explained everything that I need to do going forward. If I had not seen him pull up in his service truck I would have assumed he was in sales while talking to him. If this is the caliber of technician TruGreen uses, I see why the companys so successful. I think his name was Devante.

Lawn isn t being treated. Each time the lawn care tech pretends to treat the lawn. We have cameras and all they do is stick something in the lawn as if they ve done any work. My parents complained and the said they d send a specialist and he did the exact same thing. Idk if they re taking advance because of my parents age or what it is. Be aware and check you cameras to make sure the work is really being done.

I have had a positive experience with TruGreen so far. I have experienced no mosquitos after the first treatment. And as far as the lawn care, I look forward to seeing fewer weeds and more grass soon. The technicians were kind and efficient. David, my lawn care technician, was thorough and very kind. I look forward to positive results.

Absolutely no improvement. Using the service since April 2023. Hardly any communication. They send a text after service and charge my credit card. I tried calling their local office as well as multiple numbers mentioned in their website to discuss or cancel.. no response.

Truly a waste of money. First service, they sprayed the weeds. Guess what didn t die? Tech came again today I pointed out weeds, and he replied, We can t kill those, they ll die when it gets hot . Talked to the sales rep. We ll come as many times as needed . Oh, so repetitive treatments are needed since the scheduled treatments or chemicals used aren t effective? If you are in the Wake Forest/North Raleigh area, don t waste your money. Getting a customer service rep or canceling the service? Impossible ..

My lawn care specialist David was very helpful and knowledgeable. The person that came out before burned my grass with too much fertilizer being laid down on the grass and literally turned it brown. He noticed it and said he would update my notes to have them seed and aerate for free in the fall to make up for the other person s mistake. I hope David will continue to be my specialist going forward.

TruGreen has been a good service. Theyre not constantly trying to upcharge you and they always arrive on time. Most importantly the grass in my front yard is coming in so the HOA has stopped laving me nasty letters.

I have cancelled my service effective 1 week ago and asking to br put on threir do not call list, I continue to get calls (6 to be exact) wanting me to continue with them. I am in a retirement home and have tld them so. I consider this harrassment and suggest anyone thinking of using them to be prepared for constant calls.

Witnessed a true green truck hit some guys trailer on my block. The driver didn t even stop! Just had to say something about this very unprofessional behavior.

Had one of there trucks damage the side of my trailer. Called to discuss it and they denied everything. Had 4 witnesses see what happened. The manager was very unprofessional on the phone telling me how wrong I was since the dash cam didn t see the very back of the trailer hitting my trailer. Would never use this company due to the unprofessional contact I had.

Also witnessed a TruGreen truck hit the green truck/trailer that was in front of my property on Gannett Street in Raleigh. TruGreen driver didn t even acknowledge that he hit the trailer!! Was shocked at the unprofessionalism - we noted his plates also don t know how he thought he could get away with it in broad daylight with multiple witnesses.

I ve been using TruGreen for the last year. Good results so far. Techs have always been professional, especially Dasean.

He was professional and what I appreciated the most was how he took his time in explaining to me all the different grass types, my grass type and the maintenance and process to get my grass to look the way I wanted. I do like the service text massages before and after the services. However, I could not see how working down but trust what they said in job report. I will see what happens when summer comes.

We also use them at my place of business. It took almost a year but now we are using them routinely, there are no weeds and there is actually grass that is like a golf course!!

Might as well be a scam. Ive paid for 1 full year of service and my lawn looks just as bad as when I started. Weeds everywhere and they clearly did not overseed even though the report said they did because my lawn looks like a big dirt patch with 5 different types of weeds. 0/10.

Very professional and great quality service. We had sparse places in our yard and aphids tearing our decorative plants up. Within 2 weeks of having Tru Green we can see a big difference. I love how they leave door tags with the summary of the visits and recommendations on the door. A bit pricey but I love the progress so far!

Had fall 22 aeration and immediately called to complain that it was a botched job based on my review of the technician who was all over my yard extremely fast and missing spots. I was told there was no way I could tell this until the spring - INCORRECT. I called again in the Feb.23 and after too many calls (being given different answers to the same question), has a Manager visit my property. HE WAS JUST AS BAD as everyone else and did nothing that he committed to do. Now in March, my yard is a hot mess and I can not rely on TruGreen to resolve the issue due to too many broken promises. I learned that they do not care about your lawn ---I cancelled the service, spoke with Corporate and they RE-SEEDED ANYWAY! Run from this company.

Wish I had taken the one star reviews seriously before signing up for a year of service. Ive been trying to get an answer on what happened and how they are going to fix the damage theyve caused to my lawn. Its over a month and all they can say is someone will call me back or contact me in the next few days. No one ever calls. Do your self a favor and find someone else to care for your lawn.

We had seeding and aerating done and it didn t take at all. They did a bad job and offered half of money back. The ground was completely bare in many places. For context, the city of Raleigh later (6 months) had to do work in the front yard that ended up killing the grass. When the city was done with the job, they threw seed down to regrow grass they disturbed. The grass grew. I d rather hire the city than Trugreen. They are also always late for subscribed services and have even charged my car when they didn t show up.

When you get the right agent it goes a long way

Trugreen did aeration of the lawn. We use them for lawn care treatments and for tree and shrub treatments for the year. They are responsive to customer needs and are professional about their work.

We have had great luck with TruGreen. I don t think we ve seen a single head of clover since we started the service a few months ago. We also get great feedback and notes on the door hanger after the service (like mowing techniques, watering, types of weeds and grass seen). So far very happy with the service. The app is a little slow to launch, but is a good way of keeping up with next service and what was done.

I received a call from a rep around 12:15PM one day after submitting an inquiry months before. I let the rep know that I could not speak at the present moment, but would like to discuss service further at another time. I asked him his hours and he provided them. I then asked if a specific date and time would work within the hours he provided. Instead of agreeing or asking for a different date/time, the rep pushed back and asked that I address my questions then. I asked that we discuss further on the date and time I specified and the rep just hung up on me. Very unprofessional. Dont understand the expectation that someone will be available as soon as they are called, and why it is an inconvenience to schedule a time to properly discuss. I assume its to push someone into making a decision that they have not thought through. Sad.

My recent specialist and I discussed an issue I have been having for years with a particular type of weed that has never been eradicated. Well, he fixed it by identifying the weed and setting up an appointment for the particular spray, free of charge.

All phone calls are outsourced to some other continent. Impossible to get a local supervisor on the line. Like being in the twilight zone! A treatment was scheduled on the phone a week ago for today and nobody showed up nor any record of my interaction. Useless, will cancel at the end of this season. UPDATE: So I wrote to the email address the owner mentions below and guess what happened? Exactly NOTHING! Reducing my stars down to one.

It was easy to make an extra no-cost service appointment via text, and they were able to come out quickly. Based on a picture I took, Austin was very knowledgeable about the weed that was giving us an issue and how they could get rid of it. TruGreen has provided excellent service throughout.

Rhonda did a great job, my kids and dog stood at the window and watched the entire time they loved it! She got every area of our yard and carefully avoided the vegetable garden.

Very nice guy came back to do the sides of the yard that were missed. Tru green stood up to their word. I also use mosquito service and so far so good.

Despite hiring a lawn company to ensure my grass, trees, shrubs, and plants were all healthy, I found they did not do a good job. I then hired TruGreen and so far they are attentive and professional. Their advice is great and was lacking from previous company. I anticipate my lawn and landscaping will be phenomenal!

Weeds never died after 5 months. The service I paid for was not fulIfilled. I feel it was not actually being treated. I asked for a refund and they said it was against their policy. I was unable to resolve my issue and customer service was rude. I cancelled my account.

He listened to my concerns, explained the process of caring for the lawn, was very accommodating, and after the service was provided he explained what he has done and the steps to follow. It is wonderful to have a professional coming to your home, with a smile, enthusiastic and eager to provide the service.

Good guys who really did a great job.

Terrible job. They ve been to the house 5 times over the last year and supposedly treated the grass to make it thicker, greener and for weeds. The yard is full of huge grass free, muddy spots and bare dirt. There are weeds everywhere. I had to purchase weed killer for $30 and treat it myself and now I m having to buy expensive fast growing grass seed and fertilizer to replant what they allowed to die and mulch to fill in beside the house where it won t even grow again before the first frost but I can t stand the mud. I complained twice. They promised to send someone and nobody came or called from management. Never, ever choose this company. They neglect your yard, charge you to basically throw a few cups of something around and leave. (Assuming they actually show up and do anything at all.) They will not take responsibility for the damage done by their neglect. Three times I attempted to contact them and each time there was a promise of 24-48 hours to call back. They never did. The last time she actually spoke with them in the local office and they refused to call me then despite knowing the circumstances. I m done. I hope this review makes you all think twice and the owner to regret hiring those managers.

At the very least, customer service is hit or miss. Maybe they care but are limited with reach. I tried to reach the servicer in my area to speak with them about two rescheduling issues. I figure one misshap is okay since I requested the tech to still spray when I saw a rescheduled note on the app while he was still in front of the house... I will elaborate on that one. The next time no one showed on an appointment date set, I called customer service. Now, here is the good part. The CSR was great, but she could not tell me why a notation was left for the reason on the first absence. The CustServ is not directly related to each location; they are centralized. So I said, Im going to go speak to them. I need either to get sprayed or leave the services alone. I had callbacks before, but each place is different: some people hire the best, some hire experience, and some hire either both or neither. As a business owner, I hired nobody to help me make money. I trust almost no one with my namesake. When I went to get these occurrences straightened out, I spoke with someone in the foyer of the office suite after signing in. He happened to be Chris, the service manager. I was not aware at that time who he was, and I asked to speak to someone about service absences, preferably in an office chair... and he was initially reluctant. Now that I know who he was, I got why. There is no customer service department at a location, but whilst explaining what was going...he invited me back to talk it over... to HIS office. I doubt he ever does, nor does anyone really ever pop in to take care of things like this like I do. He explained how spraying warm season herbicide on cool season grasses will more than likely do all but light your yard on fire. That is why the tech wanted to skip the appointment. He did it anyway, but would have asked, you guessed it, Chris before doing it...and he sprayed that day because he had a product the tech knew would not lose him his job by applying it. The second real actual absence was a multiple route no call no-show. Its 2023... I was an assistant manager at a grocer. Callouts are what life is. There is no way around it. He told me the reasons why regarding an absence of service for me... twice. He is not a CSR. What this world needs today is the clones of Chris... like 1000s of clones! Customer service is not only a job. It is a mentality. I dont care what capacity you work in at a customer-service-oriented job. Customer service is always required. Chris knows this. TruGreen CSRs know this (...nowadays, that is; a couple of years ago, their CSRs didnt express customer service almost at all). I just wanted anyone skeptical in this area to know they do care. If you call them and they call back and you miss their call, check your messages... I guarauntee they care. If you are honest with them, since they are with you already, you will find they are one of the realest TruGreen locations around, and at the very least, in North Carolina. I would choose no one else for these types of services, and because of their customer service, I would recommend them to everyone in their service area.

Derek L. Did a great job making sure he covered my yard completely with fertilizer. I have had other guys come for service and barely cover the entire yard. Unfortunate that some guys dont have same integrity as Derek. Im pleased with the job he did.

Trugreen has done good service for me since I bought my new house. Weeds are at a minimum and they are onetime, work quickly, and are professional. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that my front yard really isnt as thick or luscious as I would have expected after years and years of service. Now, this probably isnt Trugreens fault since I have two large oak trees in the yard and the front yard is a steep downhill slope so probably half of the treatment washes away. But still I had hoped by this time, maybe unreasonably, that my front yard would look like my back yard.

Jamaal was professional and informed me about the services and asked if I had any questions at the completion of my service.

Specialist was very helpful. He listened to my concerns and was sure great results would follow. Aeration and overseeing are scheduled for later today and he agreed that this is the treatment most needed at this time. I appreciate his professionalism.

Absolute garbage. They wander around the yard randomly spraying for weeds, aerating, and laying seed. They miss complete sections of the yard. Their aerator tore up multiple parts of my yard, including a chunk of sod. The yard looks worse now than before they came. They sent a crew out to address it...and the crew never came. They told me maybe they went to the wrong house. Ive been told 6 times now a manager from the local branch would call me, but no one has. Im still trying to get my money back from the aeration and seeding. Id run away from this company.
