Trugreen serviced my lawn the other day however I have cameras which showed they were only there about two minutes. Never entered the back yard during the visit. I'm very grateful the cameras captured them I can't do business with theives. Yeah you can do something stop trying to charge my credit card for services I didn't receive.
True Green has cost us thousands of dollars in addition to what we’ve paid them. Terrible company and zero customer service. I had conversations with 2 different techs and requested that a supervisor come out and talk to me. I personally seeded the yard last fall after I core aerating with a ‘Billy goat’. The grass came in beautiful and thick. TrueGreen came once in the fall and several times in the spring. The ‘lady’ that fertilized the yard killed all of the young grass from the fall. Now I have erosion, weeds and crabgrass. The last service was aeration and no seed or fertilizer!?!? We had paid in full so what did they care. They don’t!
O signed up as I was told my whole property was included for weed killing which is what I needed bc I literally have weeds next to my house, mailbox, all around my carport but when I asked was assured all is included for my 3 quarter acre property. I paid the initial cost and then they came out and within 8 minutes of arriving they messaged complete! You can barely walk the property in 8 minutes let alone spray everything. The only thing that died was my good grass! So I called asked for refund and complained so they sent someone out a week later where the same thing which is nothing was done! I even waited the allotted 7-21 days for stuff to die as I was advised and nothing even died so I called and cancelled. Now they trying to say I owe them money! For 2 months worth of service when I cancelled within a month and paid initially for services not rendered due to the fact I found out by them when cancelling that they will not spray anything near any property structures! So literally nowhere that I actually have weeds but just grass! This is the worst service as how can you try to bill me for services never received when honestly you used deceptive sales practices to get me to sign up to begin with!
They sell you a service. They never provided the service. Cannot get a call back. I canceled my account and now I am having to fight to get my refund back. This company is a total sham and takes advantage of its customers by taking their money and holding the funds hostage for their gain. They will not provide a date of when the refund will be issued, but said my original customer service rep. did not put in my request for refund.
I moved here from Virginia last year, and we had an amazing Turegreen team when we lived there. They regularly monitored the condition of the yard, and made adjustments to treatment in order to make keep my lawn beautiful. So obviously I trusted Turegreen with my newly installed lawn here in NC. Well, after spending tens of thousands to install the fescue yard and irrigation system, Turegreens treatments have been wildly ineffective. Fungus, crabgrass, and other weeds are running wild, while bald spots are all over. At one point they did make some recommendations on bringing it back to healthy.. at an additional cost that was an additional 50% of my total services, and it did nothing to help. The problem seems to be lack of care for my specific lawn. They show up and put down the basics once every month, and I have to call for touch ups every 2 weeks. Even with all of that, my yard went from lush and green to utterly destroyed... and I made the mistake of paying in advance. Pictures attached.. note the beautiful lawn is in May of 2023... the destroyed lawn is in September of 2023 after 5 scheduled treatments, and 4 free touch up treatments. Update for 2023-2024 - we invested thousands into soil remediation, and Truegreen did offer a free aeration and seeding for our troubles. Our yard sprang up beautiful and healthy in the spring, but again, lack of being thorough and care led to our lawn falling into disrepair again. After leaving Truegreen and starting with another competitor service, we have seen dramatic improvement in just 60 days.
Year and half later, crab grass continues to grow, their pre emergent does not work, backyard sod has yellow patches again. They also aerated and seeded the front yard last fall, waste of $800. I knew the aeration service was done badly as I didn’t see lot of plugs/holes. A new house in my neighborhood aerated and seeded early spring and their yard went from dirt to fabulous just like that. I am going local, tired if these big corporations. Should have learned from my Arkansas experience.
They dont have a bad service, actually they come to your house at schedule, but the dont have a good product, they say you will have green the whole yard amd that didnt happen. Actually, comparing to photos, my yard looks worst. Photos at the moment we bought the house pictures after TruGreen treatment
**Beware** This place is a complete rip off! I went from the picture below in December last year to the bare, weeded pics in just a few months after having truegreen. I have had to call them back several times due to people showing up for treatments and sitting in the truck not doing anything or just part of the yard. I called and canceled my Service and they still come to my house. My wife has asked them to stop coming but they still show up when we are working and bill me. Decided to give them 1 last try for a seed and aerate. They showed up at dark and what I would believe to be the worst seeding possible. Have had to call them back to reseed and now 3 months later i still have no grass. I have been told several times my account would be credited the price of the seed and aerate service but instead I'm still receiving bills and calls. Stay away

New home construction. Crap Bermuda turf put down and not maintained before sale of house. Tried all I could in 2 months but especially with steep hill and waves it s still crap. Hired TrueGreen and had first service yesterday and today. At this point I can only give opinion on customer service and presentation. I m a pain in the ass so for me to be happy with the professionalism and friendliness, it s a good compliment. I ll come back in a few months and tell you all how the lawn is looking UPDATE: Well, that didnt go as planned! Always a different service person, even when I ask for a specific person. Quality and professionalism are hit or miss, except for the main office in Mooresville. They consistently dont care. I paid for a year so have 2 services left, then I can try again to find an actual professional. I recommend you save your money and not hire the marketing.

NEVER USE TRUGREEN in Mooresville, NC!! Not only did they not HELP my yard in Cornelius, NC, the guy KILLED the only grass I had in my front yard! The kid did not know one weed from another. Just sprayed the H___ out of my yard. Weeds thriving, grass dead. Then, when I asked for a senior person to come & look at my lawn, I was given TWO different dates and NOBODY showed up on either date. Avoid Trugreen in Mooresville NC if you value your nice, green grass.

I have ring camera s all around my home that records. You cannot aerate and overseed a yard in 10 mins. They don t do what they charge me for.
TruGreen serviced my property recently however I have a ring camera which showed they were only at my property for four minutes, and did not spray the lawn or even enter the backyard. The employee sprayed along the concrete on the driveway, road, flowerbed creating a box around my yard but at no point sprayed the actual yard. If the service was not captured on video I would have essentially been scammed.

I was not intended to get any lawn service for my lawn as it looked healthy but the field supervisor guy called me personally and offered me bunch of services including mosquito application but got none till the end of summer except regular lawn service. Called the supervisor, texted him but no response and eventually had to cancel it. Very very bad experience.

When years ago I could not keep up with all the weeds in my grass I called TruGreen and they did a wonderful job now that Ive taken up all the grass and I have desert I still have them come and do desert landscape which is perfect I dont have to spend time on my off weekends taking care of a half acre of desert landscaping. I have never had an over 10 years of being with the company a bad experience The service personnel are wonderful caring and if you have any questions they will answer them for you as far as stars go I give them a 10.

Edit - I was contacted after this review while I still believe it should not take a bad review to get action I did appreciate the call and conversation. The technician did show up and finish treatment. I will reevaluate once I can determine if the services continue timely and as paid for I recently prepaid for a year and so far I am disappointed. They came out immediately to start services however we both work from home and noticed the technician only treated a small portion of the front yard and left. I complained and apparently the guy came back today and we were supposedly not here. Again we both work from home and have windows that face the driveway and he said he left a note. Well surprise no notes at my door. Another issue I have. One of the summaries from last week say we have spots from dog urine. We live on 12 acres in the woods and we have 0 animals soooop idk. So far I am feeling ripped off.

Edit 15 Nov 23: The tech did a good job, covered all the property. Good job. Edit 26 Oct 23: We had a tech named Momo, P who applied an oil to the shrubs. My wife has numerous plants and fragile flowers. She navigated them very well and it was appreciated. Completed the service and we are satisfied. Prior reviews: The company reached out after my initial review, The representative was very courteous and professional and explained the overhead shot blocked some of my property. The tech was great, explained he would treat the missed area and at no charge will redo the other in a few weeks as not to saturate the lawn and do harm. Explained it well. Sorry I did not get the sales rep or techs name. They did good and Im satisfied. 24 July 23, I was not home when the tech showed up, but Anthony Rodriguez explained to my wife what he was doing and he did annotate everything on the service ticket.

Beware of a service that won t share local contact information and stand behind their product. The only time I was contacted by someone from the local office, it was to upsell. I prepaid for a year service on lawn care and mosquito control. By the end of the Fall, I had called many times regarding continued weeds and mosquitos. You can t reach anyone local, so they just send out a free service to address the issue. In June and July I had techs come out to explain they can t help with dallisgrass. They refused to give me a manager s number. Had I known this when purchasing the service I wouldn t have gone with TG because dallisgrass crawls over the edges just like crabgrass. They also had between Feb and June to mention any concerns they wouldn t be able to help with. By the end of the season, my lawn looked worse, and I continued to call. Mosquitos continued to be an issue too, so I canceled service. To my surprise, TG started showing up again this spring, performing service and charging my card. At first I thought I must have prepaid as part of last year s service because the app still listed the service as prepaid with 0 balance, and plus I canceled in the Fall. But in March they started charging my card again and refuse to offer a refund. When I called this morning, a rep named Jessica hung up on me. They say my account wasn t canceled in the Fall and accounts roll over the next year. TG arrives on time, but they are not honest about their capabilities and offer no customer service once you ve paid other than a free treatment that doesn t help. The applications were minimal and rushed, techs lacked knowledge, and I spent too many hours on hold and speaking with customer service reps (not local) over the summer.

These guys called me for my business April 5th , told them I just planted new seed and will sign up for a service plan provided they did a soil test. Then put lime and some type of starter fertilizer down. Well they scheduled me 3 different times, the guy finally shows up for the 1st time (April 17th. ) and he has no soil test and was gonna put down pre-emergent. Which by the way would have killed all my new seed. I WOULDNT USE THESE GUYS IF THEY WERE FREE !!! They wasted 2 hours of my time between the sales call then tracking them down to actually do what they said they would do !!
This company is a joke, their app and customer service are horrible. You cant talk to anyone from the local office and their service appears to be creating weeds not killing them. Update: they have immediately reached out to me and offered a free service to address my weeds... So all is not lost. Ill let you know how well their product works on the weeds in my yard...stay tuned Update 4/17/23 - Daniel did a great job explaining the service performed today. Now we wait to see how the product itself performs.

We were in the process of considering a switch from our current company to TruGreen. I took the time to lay out the details of my existing service costs for the services I currently pay for. In response, he haughtily informed me that for a measly $10 additional per month, youll be getting the best of the best going on and on about their supposedly unparalleled maintenance of PGA Golf courses, as if thats supposed to impress me. Well, I made it clear that I had no intention of inflating my service expenses by $120 per year, and that I would rather stick with the company Im already with. And then, in the most impolite display of arrogance, he had the audacity to utter a curt Bye before abruptly ending the call. How rude and disrespectful. Mind you, they claim to be The Best while boasting a laughable Google review rating of 3.6... now thats what I call pure comedy.
I have used Trugreen for years and years and they ve always been very dependable. We have a weird lot and they always pay attention to where our property starts and stops and they always ring the bell to let me know that they re there so they don t scare me good business to work with.
I have been calling the Mooresville NC office concerning nutsedge overtakingmy lawn. What I got was an inspection of trees and shrubs and that the Nutsedge would be taken care of with the gerpneral services. A phone call from TrueGreenturned into being a sales pitch for supposed future services. I was talked into renovating the lawn and over seeding (which is not really overseeding) and spraying the trees for possible infestations. I agreed to have the two services done at a later date. Then Friday of last week I received a phone message that my lawn was going to be plugged and worked on Monday and that the trees and shrubs were going to be sprayed on Tuesday. None of which I wanted to have done until the nutsedge problem has been tackled. TrueGreen has a problem with customer service and communications. I m going to change providers if this can t be rectified. At this point I m giving them a negative star rating.

My experience with TruGreen has been mixed. If left to their own devices, on several occasions I ve had service techs sit in their truck for 25 mins on the phone and spend a total of 3 mins on my property not using anywhere near the amount of chemical I m being charged for. But after complaining I ve had component techs arrive, spend 20-30 mins getting every inch of my front and back yards. Just like any service buyer beware.

I pre-paid for the annual lawn service. Yard is in significant worse shape than before the service with weeds, crab grass, clovers, etc. Also, had tree and shrub service. Lost 5 bushes while having service with them. Now being charged for a lawn service that was not authorized. Would never recommend doing business with TruGreen.
For the second time, the specialist rushed through the treatment, this time taking 15-20 min no more to do the treatment. He never bothered to see me after even when I told him to let me know when he was done. I never received a slip or notice letting me know what service was performed. This is unacceptable!

My local TruGreen experience ok. Not the best, but ok. If customers ask for more than 1 or 2 day notices about a service appointment/application, then it s normally for a reason. I want to address and go over concerns with the Rep. applying the product. Five to seven day notices of when the appointment will be rendered will help. In 2022, many homes have cameras. Reps need to be mindful that homeowners use those cameras for proof of service. One of my appointments was sketchy and deemed not done, however I was charged. I called to complain as a new customer, and TruGreen sent out a Rep. to do the job again. The cameras caught the appointment/application. Discouraged me as a new customer, but hopefully we won t have that at my home again.
Mosquito control application
Not only do they not show up, but they charge me for not showing up. They stood me up every single visit, wouldn t get back to me or answer the phone and customer service was no help. Do NOT recommend this company, go ANYWHERE ELSE! 0 stars all around!
I had hopes for this place. Just wanted mosquito s to not be going crazy in my yard. First service, they serviced the wrong yard, came back a week later, only serviced my front yard, called and told them only front yard was done and they called someone out and had to wait another week even though each time i was told 2 days. They came back out and only did front yard again which is crazy. I have cameras in the front and back yard so was surprised they didn t again. I called this past Tuesday (now going on 2 mths and no service except front yard) and they told me someone would be here in 2 days. Todays Friday, no one yet, just called. Told i was moved to next Friday. Ummmmm ok, i want to cancel. Was told sometimes the people who do the spraying just are lazy about it and that they should ve noted to spray front and back yard (this makes zero sense). As of today, i cancelled, i requested a full refund bc i haven t gotten anything in 2 months other than front yard sprayed twice. I ve literally spent more time on hold and on the phone than they have spent at my house spraying. I ve worked customer service for 25 years so i get stuff happens but yeah, no. Never again

TruGreen destroyed my yard. I have more weeds and mushrooms then I did before. My grass is dying and all my neighbors around me have better lawns without any chemicals.
Trugreen Mooresville is a complete mess. I dont blame the technicians and customer service people entirely, theyre doing the best they can with most likely minimal support and guidance. But their technicians dont show up when theyre scheduled. When they do show up, theyre at my home for 5-10 minutes max (my yard is 4500 SF) and provide half-hearted service. One tech left a note stating my yard has brown patch and that I should buy a fungicide and treat it. The irony. I later found out from a TG customer service agent that fungicides dont work and should not have been recommended. Double irony. Again I dont blame the tech, I blame his incompetent management team. I wouldnt hire them to manage a lemonade stand. Save your money and do it yourself. Your paying a lot of money for some kid to spray weed killer on crabgrass. Its a racket. Lame cookie cutter response from Trugreen customer service this way VVVVVVV
They do not use a good product. We have more weeds since we hired them than we did when my husband was taking care of our yard. Very difficult to get in touch with the local management. We will not be using them again.
The people are great, its not for lack of trying, but the product is terrible. My brand new lawn is falling apart after two years.
I have been a TruGreen customer for years, and have slowly seen the decline in quality of service for the past 3 years. Today, I was scheduled to have my lawn aerated and overseeded. I received a text message telling me the text message was at my home to perform the service, and then immediately received another saying it was completed. I work from home. Not that I would have needed to be here, because any fool can walk in a yard and tell if it were truly aerated or not. I walked outside to see if the technician was at the wrong house, only to see a trugreen truck turn on my street, and drive past my house with me standing in the yard and the techs staring at me as they drove by. I live north of charlotte nc, and you cant even get through to the mooresville office. Rather than have the tech come immediately back to my house, the 800 rep rescheduled for another day. He never addressed the fake work order, or the fact that their employee tried to pull a fast one. Updated 8/22/22: Not only did TruGreen not perform the service as scheduled, they have billed my credit card. Do not do business with this company.
We have using this service for years and have had frustrations a number of times when it comes to aeration. They always schedule it in August which is earlier than we want it. They only leave an automated message giving you the date they don t get a confirmation from the customer that it is a good date. So if you miss it, there is no chance to ask the service to be moved later. We didn t get the flags out since we missed the message. They ended up breaking one sprinkler head. There are deep grooves in our front and side yards from the wheels. They got a lot of seed in our neighbors flower beds. In the back yard there are 2 or 3 spots where the roots from a tree that has be ripped up. My husband called last night, asking for a manager to come look at damage. I called today they said it will take 48 hours for someone to just review not even address it. The customer service phone center was useless. Not sure why they have the area at all, all they do is read from a script and send notes to other areas. No understanding or trying to help in any way. Of course you get a center that is nowhere near here and there is no way to talk the local office. Horrible experience. Think it s time to move on to a locally owned business and someone not part of a big company.
I mean they do their job but I feel like it s just another big company out here just trying to get that subscription money. They do not tell you what they recommend for your lawn and what could help better it or concerns. Sometimes the guy do the backyard and sometimes they don t. But hey I m the dummy still paying for it. Lol
My experience 1st year, TruGreen seem great! Decided to over-seed. As 2nd season came I notice grass seem to be dying. I know they didnt use correct chemicals cause some chemicals they use have a certain smell as I didnt smell in my 1st year of doing business with trugreen.

I prepaid for TruGreen service last spring. After numerous calls and complaints, and leading bad feedback after my services, I called my credit card and disputed the charge due to the level of service I received. In August my credit card closed the dispute in my favor. TruGreen continued to treat my yard, whit ever indicating that payment was owed. My last treatment was on 2/17. On 3/12 I received a letter that they were sending me to collections. I called yesterday, after spending 5 minutes on hold I opted for someone to call me back. An hour later an agent called me back. She asked if I ever cancelled my service. I told her not once during my calls and complaints did anyone discuss the option, it was always let s do a re-treatment . She put me on hold and I was disconnected without resolving the issue. Horrible service, horrible results. I ve switched to Weed Man for this year, my neighbors seem to think I ll have better success with them.
Ordered the Mosquito service, the technician only serviced the front yard, he didnt bother going to the backyard although the backyard is included in the program. I ended up chatting online with customer service, and they ended up sending another technician out one week later to complete the backyard.
They blew grass on my car while someone was washing it!! It was despicable and I was in shock! I yelled at the man but he spoke no english. So rude that he did it on purpose too. I called the company to complain and my wait time was over 3 hours. Poor customer service.
This company is terrible in terms of trying to talk to someone. Literally, the system tells you wait times are 1-2 hours every time I call. This is RIDICULOUS! Get your act together. I will not be a customer for long if this keeps happening. COVID or not, you should have as many people manning customer service line remotely as you did in a call center, if you don t you are not taking care of your clients.

The service has been pathetic. After giving them 2 full years my yard is completely messed up with crab grass and spurge weed. In fact my yard was in better condition without their service. I would ask anyone reading this review to NEVER use their service. Complete waste of money. I am being completely honest in writing this review. If required I can share pictures.
Update 4 weeks after original. They finally came to treat my yard 2 weeks ago -- no results. On top of that, after that application, they came out a few weeks later and fertilized my yard but nothing for the weeds so the crabgrass got even stronger. I called again and they finally scheduled an appointment. Since I am getting ready to over-seed in the fall (and since they offer no treatment for the bermuda grass in my fescue yard), I sprayed a few days ago for the bermuda. They came today noticed some yellowing for some areas where I sprayed and decided to do nothing. See the pictures below. These pictures represent a small part of my yard. Ive already contacted another service to provide an estimate for next year. Started using them mid last year in hopes of getting my weeds under control but by the end of the summer, my front yard was overrun with crabgrass. I decided to give them a second (full) year and things are no better. Things started well but within the last month the crabgrass is taking over again. I have called them twice before the last two visits telling them about the issue. They said they would schedule a visit but the last 2 times they did nothing for the crabgrass. My yard looked better when I did it myself! I paid for the full year of service -- what a mistake. Unless something changes radically, Ill be finding a different service for next year.
Overall I am pleased with your service. However, when I mow my lawn, I find more weeds than I would expect. This is not a complaint simply an observation. My perception is that after 2-3 years of TruGreen service, I would think I would see fewer weeds. Additionally, thank you to your crew in Mooresville. As a cyclist on the road here in Mooresville, I see your trucks on the road quite frequently while cycling. They have always been courteous and allowed me my space on the road. I tell this to all my cycling friends. Again. thank you!
Summary: The worst experience Ive ever had with any company in my life. Never provided the full services I paid for, harassed me with over 25 calls for additional payments I already made (paid full year upfront), false credit card charges, terrible service, and the wildest incompetence Ive ever seen. Also tried to cancel the services multiple times but they came not once, but 3 times and got an extra bill every time. 1. The incompetence -I paid a full year in advance for full lawn and shrub service. After the first service I received a bill in the mail. I called TruGreen, waited over an hour to get a hold of a human to ask why. Ultimately they said there must be an error, they didnt know why I received a bill, and to ignore the bill. Same thing happens for the next three months. However after the 3rd bill, they also threaten to take me to collections and they suspended my services. Keep in mind, Ive called them multiple times and they state they can see Ive paid a full year in advance and that my bills are paid. Despite this, they refuse to remove the suspension on my account. 2. The Harassment After my suspension I constantly received calls, over 25 from their end (excluding times I called them). Initially they would call and tell me they dont know why their automatic system called me. Then later on they would call, ask for money for nonpayment. Immediately they would recognize they could see my payment, apologize but never made any real effort to fix the issue. So the calls persisted. I would beg them to stop calling me, but 3 months of harassment pursued before any actual individual fixed the issue. 3. The theft So after the suspension was finally lifted we entered into a negotiating phase. Despite every red flag and against my better judgement, we both agreed to have 50% off everything for the year if Id stay. Instead a random amount of money, nowhere near 50%, was refunded. They later said theyd refund the rest but nothing ever happened. I did not want any services until this was fully refunded as agreed upon. So logically, they sent individuals to come to my home and spray things not once, not twice, but three times. I received an automatic call prior the 2nd visit, called them immediately and threatened legal action for trespassing. So what did this reasonable business do? cancel the visit, and reschedule it for two days later. I literally couldnt even beg TruGreen to not visit me. Oh yeah, and after every visit they charged me >$60. Keep in mind yes, I still had paid a full years worth in advance. I called and asked for immediate refunds on this. In typical TruGreen style they agreed, but nothing happened. Low and behold, they took refund to mean, we will credit your account for future services. Which was clearly laughable, because they still charged me the 2nd and the 3rd time on their surprise visits. It wasnt until I threatened small claims court and filed a complaint with my credit card company that I received this 6 months later. You may also be wondering, why did they call you for extra payments 25 times the first time, but then this time they just charged your card without your consent? Thats a good question. TruGreen? 4. The actual service Lets pretend that this company somehow magically becomes competent, isnt interested in stealing your credit card information, and harassing you to make extra payments that youve already paid. If TruGreen suddenly grew both a brain and a heart, I would still advise you to stay as far away as possible from this company. The actual quality of service is abysmal. Look at the apathy of this technicians work in video below. Theres an additional 20 feet with more shrubs they completely ignored. Id show you the video of their services for the back yard too, but they never even stepped foot in the backyard to service this! Ever! TruGreen has been doing my yard for over two years. While my yard has improved with more grass, I am not completely satisfied as there are still large amounts of weeds.
they come out at the start of a major storm and all chemicals wash into streams. they bill me even though they didnt show up. they try to sell me additional services and complain about all of my weeds, even though they have been spraying every 2 months for a year. they spray during heat waves/droughts and kill my grass. not happy with their service
After 2 years with Trugreen I ve canceled service. I have a small front and side yard that I ve paid Trugreen over $1000 to maintain. My front yard looks terrible. I still have the same bald spots that I had before hiring them. To be honest my yard doesn t look any better that neighbours who don t treat their yard at all. Trugreen is a waste of time and money. I ll be hiring a local landscaper who might actually care about the services he provides.
So I went to their website and filled out the contact form. Someone called the next morning after talking to him for 5 minutes he emails me a quote that seemed low. I called back to confirm the price and the next person tells me the first person mis figured and gives me a price that is at least double the original quote and when I tell him I cant do that he asks me what I can pay and drops the price. When I tell him I need to talk to my wife about it he says if I dont take the price then it will no longer be available. So beware.

We signed up for the lawn service. The first service was good, but thats where anything positive about the experience ends. Our second service was scheduled but the technician never showed up. We did get a bill and notice electronically that he showed up, but he never did. I called to inform that he never showed up and customer service told me he probably did the wrong house. We rescheduled due to the no show and again he did not show up. I called in again and they said he probably had car trouble or something. I rescheduled one final time to get a second service and again no call no show. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. I cannot get a call from the service manager. Stay away from this company. They are awful!
If I could rate it Zero stars I would..but unfortunately google requires 1 Star to review. I would interpret their name trugreen as to reflect what their services will turn your lawn into...unfortunately this is not the case. My yard is brown and dying in patches, perhaps they should be renamed trubrown?

Absolutely THE worst service. Already cancelled lawn service because they did not do as promised. Mosquito service works great for a limited time. They promise to retreat if any mosquito activity before the next scheduled service, nope! Called last week for them to come back. They scheduled but did not show up, called back they scheduled but did not show up. Called again and the guy says it will be at least another week... unacceptable! I expected great things from what I thought was a reputable company, not the case. Time to move on!
First let me preface this by saying the technicians were all very polite and curtious. Thats where the positive experience ends though. I signed up for their lawn service. About 3 months into it we decided to do some major yard rehab including grading and clearing ect. There was no use in putting money into a torn up lawn so I called to pause the service for a few months until we got it all situated. A few weeks later while we were out of town they came anyways and charged me, I didnt say anything and gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was a mistake and just paid for it. Another 2 weeks later they showed up again, this time I was home so I informed the tech before he started our account was supposed to be on hold, he stated it wasnt showing in their system but he would fix it. The next day another tech showed up, told them the same thing and he said the same thing, another day or two later they showed up for the 3rd time, again went though the same thing, and then again 2 days later the caught me when I wasnt home and serviced the yard and charged me. I called the call center and canceled and asked for a refund. I dont have a whole lot of confidence that, that actually has happened yet as there no refund posted and time will tell if technicians continue to show up. I dont recommend using a company with no logistical communications. I cant vouch for the actual lawn service since we wernt able to use the service that long, but from customer service standpoint I do no recommend.
They killed most of the grass I had on my front lawn and left it filled with weeds. Im honestly stunned. They spend less than 5 minutes when they come here.
After a year of lawn service, I spent hours pulling weeds from the yard. My yard was supposedly treated for weeds three weeks prior.
Signed up with Trugreen in July. First application was a weed prevention. Was told I need fungicide to control brown patch as huge areas of my lawn were dead. Waited and waited for someone to contact me. In the meantime, scheduled visits ended up being incomplete which means no one came out to perform service after being sent texts that they were on their way. Totally unreliable, and we re now into September and still no fungicide treatment, so today I told them I m no longer with them. My two neighbors have no lawn care service and their lawns look better than mine!
I have been a customer since I moved to Mooresville about 4 years now and they were usually good but this year the weeds just took over my whole yard for some reason so I called to cancel and the guy said okay you are cancelled, few days later I got a call from them saying they were going to come and do a service free of charge and I said ok, come to find out the guy did not cancel my account and I got charged for aeration which is $170, very shady no one knows about those calls when I called and requested a refund, I was only able to get half of it and not happy about it. This time I got a cancellation number, learned my lesson and will not be doing business with them for sure.
Trugreen is convenient. New to the area and whenever I tried getting someone out for service, they never showed. Kinda glad they didnt show now. I like mowing my own yard anyway. Now that I have Trugreen helping me maintain it , giving me recommendations on what my lawn needs and assisting in aeration, fertilizing and weed control, my lawn looks great....

First of all i met with rob walk my property completely i was told no problem they would come do aration and over seed fertilize and lime i was given price of 274.00 well here comes the service 1st guy shows up 6 hours early on a saturday i keep my car in garage so he thinks know one is home little did he know i was out on porch 2 mins before truck pulls up i had jus walked in to house to grab a cigerette turn around went right back out see guy get out bbn of truck i said wow you here early what are you going to do today he said i already did it i said did what he said i fertilized you yard i said when he said just now i said no way i wasnt in house for 2 mins at most and i have more than 1/2 acrea of lawn he said well i did got i truxk and drove off i called company rob told him he says i get it straighted out for you next 5 days later i get another guy out he puts down tiny bit of fertilizer says it dont take much its strong i said well where is the machine to aerate and lime and seed out they will do that from another truck another week goes bye truck pulls up he says im here to seed and aerate i said ok what about the heavy lime treatment he says i dont know anything about it i said hang on i call rob at trugreen again he says oh he must not of had room on the truck they will send out another truck later today no one comes so monday comes i call rob again say hey the lime guys never came he says they will be out in daynor two it wont hurt it to wait i say ok he says let me know how things are doing you should see grass growing within two weeks well people still waiting on lime still no show been 2 weeks not a blade of grass anywhere but guess what i did get 3 bills totaling more than 100 dollars more than bnb i was quoted and that without the lime that was supposed to be included not a blade of grass growing anywhere and 3 phone calls asking for payment well guess what they will get paid when job is done and grass starts growing as guarenteed it would and not 1 cent until then as a retired law enforcement officer i know the law as well as anyone i have before and after photos i have 3 witnesses to him guarenteeing lawn would be growing and a signed contraxt on the 274 .00 price not 380.00 without the lime even being put down my advice to everyone is make sure you do not give credit card or banking numbers for auto pay and dont pay nothing up front until you see some results make sure you save all contracts and do not be intimated buy phone calls our threat of them contact credit bureau because you can call your attorney general consumer protection dept and file a complaint also the judges with look at before and after photos and your guarantees from them in there contracts this company needs to be put in line dont make any foolish mistakes with them know your rights i cant wait to hear back from them on my review if they try to post any lies i will post picture contracts phone records and witness statements to prove all my statement i have made buyers beware!!!
We loved this company first year till fall. Then a worker damaged side of house. Was small damage but we called and only got message with no return and we just fixed damage. Next year we used them and this year using aerator they did lot of damage to house. They have a hard time getting back to you when phoning with problems. We stopped our service and went with another company and very happy.
Ive used Tru Green for several years and have been very pleased with the results. Working with the environmental conditions is important and following proper water procedures is a must. On a fescue lawn you need to aerate and overseed ever year which is what Tru Green does.
By far the worst experience I ve had with a yard maintenance company. I have had them for almost two years (shame on me) and my lawn has never looked worse. Seeding didn t take this year when it was completed way too early at the end of August. Terrible customer service...leave voicemails and get no calls back. Try to cancel, and they promise to send someone out within 5 days to aerate and seed again....crickets. Yard is so brown with crabgrass it looks like we have Bermuda. Close to $1500 I ve paid these people for nothing. Whatever you do, don t use this company. Please don t respond with a recommendation to email customer service, because they don t answer...

After over a year of lawncare on their highest subscription plan, all the brown spots in my lawn... them getting fertilizer in my pool and costing me over $400 to have the spots cleaned, Ive filed a complaint with the state attorney generals office. Absolutely disgusted with the level of service and no call / no shows with their service manager & owner.
Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced. The right hand doesn t know what the left hand is doing and there is zero ability to talk directly to anyone in authority. As a new customer, I spoke with the main processing center and was scheduled to receive herbicide treatment to eliminate weeds along with fertilizer. I was also being put on the schedule for reseeding after the herbicide. For my first service, they arrived 4 hours past the appointed time and the app (which is supposed to let you know where the tech is and when they will arrive) tells me they will be arriving soon which is pretty much useless information. After they were already several hours late, I called to find out WHEN they would be arriving ..... they could not tell me. Soon. When they finally arrived (after sunset) they did not have the fertilizer listed on the service order and they did not have enough herbicide to complete even that part of the job. Thankfully he did have fertilizer on the truck and was able to apply it, but I was told by the tech that I would have to reschedule for the rest of the herbicide treatment and it would take five days to be scheduled in. I told him that was not acceptable and I should not be put at the end of the line when it was their error for not having enough chemicals on their truck. Everything was time sensitive due to the wait period required for the herbicide to dissipate from the soil and the need to get the seeding done at the proper time and waiting was not an option. I called the main office to complain and was told there was nothing they could do and no way to talk to anyone in authority.....They would pass this message on and I would be called within 48 hours by the local rep. They NEVER called. The way this company is run, there is no way to contact the local TruGreen rep.....everything is done through a main processing center and there is no one there who can truly help should problems arise because you are told they will pass the information on to the local rep. They will not give you that number and you are told they will call you back within 48 hours. Of course they never call and there is no one held accountable for dropping the ball. It s a constant circle of passing the buck and no responsibility taken. Horrible, Horrible, way to run a business. The tech actually did come back the next day because he felt bad, but I had to make numerous calls and really had no idea what they actually planned on doing because every person I spoke with gave me the same tired line that there was nothing they could do to get me on the schedule and there was no one I could talk to ...like a broken record. After the herbicide treatment, I was notified through the app that I was on the schedule for reseeding but it had only been a couple of days since the herbicide application ....which was way too soon for seeding. I had to call them (again) to tell them it was too soon to do the reseeding. So I basically had to babysit this company from beginning to end. If I hadn t known better about herbicide and reseeding protocols, they would have seeded and I would have wasted my money. When I called to tell them not to come so soon after the herbicide treatment, I also asked them to have someone call me because of all of the problems and lack of communication. Of course, I was told that someone would get back to me within 48 hours as well as told there was no way to speak to anyone when calling their center (and there are no other options either......call the main number and hope for the best). Again, no one ever called. Herbicide treatment was applied but not properly and there were long strips on the entire lawn where it was visible that weeds were killed alongside weeds that were not killed (we re not talking about a small lawn here but over an acre of grass/weeds). I called the company about the haphazard application, and again was told my message would be passed on and I would receive a call within 48 hours. Can you guess what happened? I m still waiting. Seriously, avoid this company like the plague.
