We install Patios, Retaining Walls, Outdoor Kitchens, Walkways, Driveways, Irrigation Systems, Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Systems, Landscape Planting Beds. We also do finish grading, seeding, and sodding. Pruning and Spring and Fall Clean-Up. Come Visit our park-like garden center nestled in the heart of Moline. Since 1950 we've been serving the greater Quad City Metro Area and a 75 mile radius extending from Iowa City in the West to Dubuque in the North; Princeton and Sterling in the East to Galesburg in the South.

Purchased a beautiful Pacific Sunset Maple from Meyer. Kathy listened to exactly what we wanted and pointed us in the direction of this gorgeous tree. She was communicative throughout the entire process. The tree was installed quickly and the crew was knowledgeable and friendly. I will only be purchasing through Meyer in the future.
IF there was a 10 for Meyer Landscape and Design, we'd give them a 10! We moved to Moline in 1999 and MLD transformed the tired existing landscape of the 19-year-old home that we purchased. We sold the house 5+ years later and the exterior landscaping was key to selling the house in 11 days vs the existing 11-month sales time in 2004. We returned to Rock Island in 2022 and after closing on the lot on which we were to build, we went directly to Kurt Meyer and asked if he could do the landscape design on the home we were building in Chippiannock Trails. He said "Yes!" and what he and his staff created would be a 10! You can't ask for better service before and after the design and execution are completed! Kurt and his team just landscaped our front yard after we removed a large invasive maple tree. There were huge roots everywhere. They removed them, built a decorative two-level retaining wall, installed all new perennials and paved our sidewalk from the porch to driveway. It turned out beautifully, and we couldn’t be happier. Kurt and his crew were so professional and hard working. Their daily clean up was wonderful. We would highly recommend them all.

12/14/23 Update: We just had a new grill/planter area installed by Meyer Landscape. To say it turned out beautiful is an understatement!! Kurt Meyer designed the area just how we envisioned it to be but oh, so much better! The stone which was used is stunning! The workers were diligent, friendly and very conscientious about taking care of the area in which they were working, which we greatly appreciated. We cannot thank everyone enough nor wait to begin grilling again! Summer 2020: Just by coincidence, we ran into Kurt Meyer when we were building our new home and looking for retaining wall ideas. We were so impressed by how he took the time to stop what he was doing to talk to us and offer suggestions, and everything took off from there. First, from a beautiful retaining wall and steps down into our yard, to designing and installation of a gorgeous water feature to fill in some "empty space", and then designing and landscaping of an adjacent lot, we couldn't be any happier with how things turned out! Kurt listened to what we wanted and adjusted as needed. He always addressed our concerns before, during and after projects, and makes the effort to be available for any questions we may have. His workers are also fabulous! They are hard working, considerate and follow through with what to do so we will be happy with the results. We are looking forward to yet another project to be completed in the coming year. Meyer Landscaping has friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and caring employees; we now go there for a good portion of our landscaping needs. They are definitely on the top of our list when it comes to completing our outdoor spaces. Thank you, Kurt and employees, for everything you do for us!! We greatly appreciate you!
We were tired of the maintenance of maintaining a pond. It was a hassle from raccoons to weeds! Meyer took the time to listen and write up a great quote. When we had questions or concerns they answered! They were very professional and the completed project exceeded our expectations! Couldn't be more excited to have the extra space! Great job and highly recommend!

No! I will NOT stop posting my opinions. My accusations are NOT false. Your reviews from family members and cronies who have no taste should be looked into. Once again I didnt show up due to pneumonia. Please be warned these people are cut rate, find someone else. Another example, they waited to respond to my post thinking Id forget. The reason I did not show up for court is that I was in the hospital. If I had been there you would have lost. In my opinion the Illinois court system is crooked and that goes for the state as well. Besides in my review I didnt even mention the power line, feeling guilty??I would love for you to post my pictures of my lawn, youll never get another customer. And no I will NOT stop posting reviews. All your company does is sit like a buzzards waiting for an Angies list browser then pounce. Once again future shoppers look around, you will do better!!!

Very impressed all around. Had trees planted on property in the fall, ground-level patio this spring. Kurt is very professional, knowledgeable and strikes the perfect balance of being involved/responsive but not overbearing--he cares about the finished product and customer satisfaction much more than the sale. The crew was very respectful and considerate during the week or so they were on site. Looking forward to working with them again on our other projects.

A fair amount of employees that know their stuff. Helpful. A nice variety of trees and bushes to choose from. Plus so many extras to decorate yard and house. Perennials come out this week!
Bought three ornamental grasses from them only one came up to following year ask them if I could exchange they told me they didnt have any guarantee on their grasses

Make sure before you sign any agreement with these guys that ur estimate says what color mulch they are suppose to put down! To these so called professionals hardwood mulch is brown. When u look up the definition of hardwood mulch it says brown black red and yellow not just brown. They think it means brown only. I ordered black. The man that laid it down noticed it was different and said something and they told him to still lay the wrong mulch.
The actual work was done well, but communication was non-existent. I got a quote the first week of July and signed it the same day, and placed a deposit the next day. Two weeks later after not hearing anything, I got a call saying they were coming in a couple of hours. The crew showed up and almost immediately decided that they did not want to do the work by hand and would come back with machines. I made multiple calls over the following weeks trying to find out when they would be back but got no firm date. Finally last week I was told it would be some time early next week . I asked for a call or an email with an actual date but never got one. Today at 7:30am my doorbell rang and they were here. Thankfully I work from home but had to take an unscheduled break to move my car so they could work. If I didn t work from home or was unable to answer the door I have no idea if they would have gone ahead with the work or if they would have rescheduled again. They don t seem to understand that some of us need to be able to plan ahead!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Drew Meyer from Meyer Landscaping. Drew was fun to work with and brought much needed expertise to our project. The work was completed in a timely manner and the crew assigned to our job were friendly and hard working. A couple of issues arose due to the stretch of hot weather we had recently but were rectified immediately. On a scale of 0 to 5, I would rate our experience as a 5. I have already referred Drew to some of our friends who are also needing landscaping assistance. Thanks again for a beautiful job.

I always get great service here. The staff is not only friendly, but knowledgeable as well. This is also the only place I can find organic lawn solutions. I only wish they had a second location on the Iowa side.

Away a treat stopping by Meyer. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and most helpful. The garden plants and stick are always thriving and very healthy. Its a great place just to walk the grounds and reconnect with nature.
Had landscape and drainage work done in my front yard a few years ago. Have been having problems with the drainage work recently. Ive contacted Meyers multiple times and they are unwilling to even come out to see what the problem is much less give me an idea/estimate on fixing their work. Decent work to begin with but they do not stand behind their work.
