The organic yard service has been spectacular and we are happy. We also tried slit seeding and that was a complete failure. I would recommend the company but not for seeding.

This group listen to my needs and now that Spring is coming, it is clear they heard me and are doing exactly what we talked about in the fall. This is one of the easiest vendor relationships Ive had. Not only is the entire group professional and extremely responsive, they are so easy to work with! Even the website for setting up services and billing is so easy to use. Honestly, I wish all of the other vendors I use were as easy to hire, schedule, renew, pay, etc. Top notch services and you wont be disappointed!

About five years ago, I was raking my front lawn for the first time that Spring. The grass just came out in clumps. The ground went bare. I contacted Rainbow Lawn, and one of their specialists (Ryan) came out. The verdict was that grub worms had infested the lawn. So, I signed up for Rainbow s program to treat the grub issue and regular maintenance of the entire lawn. My backyard is very shady; and, at that time, there were bare spots and weeds violets, dandelions, etc. So, I ordered split-seeding for my first two years. Also, a neighborhood elm tree showered us with seeds every year and they sprouted by August through both the front and back areas. All I can say is that all these lawn problems are a thing of the past. I believe that I have had the greenest and fullest lawn in the neighborhood from the very beginning of my work with Rainbow. I had an unfortunate experience with one of their employees breaking the law and making me feel unsafe. They called me back 20 minutes after I posted a negative review here, which seems coincidental. They are not nearly as responsive to safety issues as I would expect, but they did commit to taking care of the issue.

We found out we had grubs in our yard and contacted this service to come help us with the problem. The cost was very affordable, customer service (Amber) was just great to talk to and the guy who came made sure to ask if I had any questions before he started. It was very fast and will be using this service again in the near future! I highly recommend them!

Rainbows workers are conscientious & dedicated. Glad to be paying them.

Timing for application of Grub control and weed control application was poor. Weed control did very little to control weeds prior to Slit Seeding. Yard had more weeds than grass after Slit Seeding. Would not recommend Rainbow for lawn service.

I switched to Rainbow when I started raising honeybees. They ve been great!

We ve found Rainbow to be a very good value and they show up when they say and provide excellent communication. Our lawn is looking a lot better and after aeration and over seeding we re looking forward to a lush green lawn next spring.

Ive been using Rainbow Lawncare for a few years now, and I highly recommend them. They are always professional and responsive, and my yard looks great. I switched to Rainbow because the previous provider was constantly trying to upsell services to me and was frequently calling. Rainbow does not do this. Also, Rainbow is employee owned and a local Minnesota company. We also use Rainbow Tree Care and they are fantastic.

John Maiers who is the technician that does my lawn is very professional and will to answer any question I have. I did a lot of research on different lawn care services before selecting Rainbow. Very happy I went with them.

It was easy to set up a consult to discuss seeding a bee-friendly lawn. Tech very clearly explained the process, what would (and would not) be done. I was automatically scheduled and given notice prior to service. Didnt have to do anything (including being home) other than making sure the yard was reasonably clear. Bee lawn is coming in great, would use this company again.

I have happily used Rainbow for years. They successfully cured my lawn from a nasty grub infestation, and have kept it looking healthy ever since. I also appreciate Rainbow for their friendly and reliable service. They provide helpful updates via txt and phone so you can anticipate their arrival. On arrival, they introduce themselves and leave a card with exactly what treatment was rendered. Office staff are easy to reach, and friendly as well. Great company!

Ive had Rainbow Lawncare for over 15 years and two houses. In my experience, organic lawncare gives you a beautiful lawn without having to expose yourself, pets and kids to the chemicals. My neighbor at the old house had terrible Creeping Charlie. You could see the Creeping Charlie stop exactly on the property line where my side was treated and their side was not. It really works if you give it a little more time than nuking it with chemicals.

A professional company that communicates and does what they say. Weve had them aerate/seed and use thier organic fertilizer/weed control applications and after a couple of years our 20 year old yard has never looked as good!

I hired Rainbow to erratic creepy charlie weeds. They did not even spray the complete lawn. The little lawn dog they ride around on can NOT COVER some of the area of the lawn and a hand sprayer needs to be used hand sprayer. Creepy Charlie is a very tough weed and is best treatment is with use a special broadleaf herbicide containing either tricolpyr or dicamba on Creeping Charlie that has taken over your lawn these chemicals will kill Creeping Charlie without harming your grass. according to Bob Villa. There are area of CC not in the lawn that needed treatment by hand spraying. Never done. Granted they may do a nice job for the average no challenge lawn, but mine is not average. This the only reason I hired them.! Ready to seek legal remedies if necessary.

I cant stress how good a company this is. Every single employee we worked with (from the admin staff, assessors, and to the installers), were incredible! They were professional, informative, friendly, and helpful. During our initial search, we reached out to 3 other companies and this one came to the top. The prices were fair and the work was excellent. My family and I were amazed at the care and hard work of the installers when the laid down our sod. Our lawn looks amazing. I highly recommend Rainbow Lawncare and will be using their services in the future!

Theyre friendly and work with my yard which is torn apart from dogs. When I moved in my yard was beginning to get taken over by creeping Charlie. I now have no creeping Charlie. I like that they have an organic option

Very happy with Rainbow Lawncare. We only had them for one summer but saw a big improvement and had one of the best yards in the neighborhood. We sold our house and moved to a different city but left the yard in great condition for the new owners.

Ive used Rainbow Lawncare for a couple years now and they have always been great. Theyve handled fertilizing the lawn as well as spot weed control and crab grass control. Weve had them aerate the lawn a couple times as well. Very shortly we will be working with them to convert our backyard into a pollinator friendly lawn. Theyve been great with answering all my questions and always provide top notch service. Their technicians are always knowledgeable and friendly and we plan on continuing to work with them for the foreseeable future.

We used Rainbow for lawn repair/renovation which included adding topsoil, aeration, slitseeding and hydroseeding. Ive used Rainbow Lawncare for several years and have always been pleased with their service and results. They are always willing to come out and assess any issues or recommendations for service.

I reached out in early July for an estimate and received a reply within 48 hours. We had a lawn advisor scheduled to come out within 5 business days. Its been over a month and I havent heard back. I reached out 7 days ago to follow-up to see if I missed a phone call or an email, and still no response.

After losing a portion of our grass due to flooding from a previous year, we contacted Rainbow to get our yard reseeded before our daughters graduation (June 2019). They were very busy with requests that spring, but remained very responsive and assured us they would have ours done prior to the event date, and they did. All the seeds took very well and there was no need for them to return and redo any areas. Weve had a full year of growth now and our yard looks great! We are very happy with their work and the results!

Attempted to use Rainbow Lawncare for Aeration/Overseeding services. The communication has been subpar and quite confusing. They told me I would get my service within 2 to 3 weeks. I waited 3 weeks and never heard from them. I ended up cancelling my service for not being on time and bad communication.

I signed up for aeration and overseeding from Rainbow, and I kept getting emails to prepay (or set up auto-pay) before I could approve the service. I was not interested in doing that at all, as I wanted to pay AFTER I received the services. I was in close contact with one of their service members and they assured me I could just pay after. The person doing the work would just text me a day or 2 before to hammer out timing and scheduling. It has been over three weeks since my last contact with them, with no sign of ever getting service. I decided to cancel and seed myself. I dont doubt that my request got lost in the shuffle since I never signed up for auto-pay or prepaid, but I never heard anything else from them. A total waste of my time when I could have seeded myself a week ago.

I recently received lawn seeding from Rainbow. I would have expected some communication from Rainbow about the process and what it involved. What I got was a 3 word proposal with no explanation or other information about what I would get for my money. When I called customer service after about a month to find out if they were actually going to come out. I was told my order was put on a customer Hold which I did not request. When I finally got someones attention, they removed the hold and I was given a 3 day window of delivery. They completed the seeding and again no information was provided with the exception of some watering instructions. Maybe it is too much to ask for a company this large to communicate better with their customers.

We had Chris aerate our lawn yesterday. He was kind enough to text us 10 minutes before he arrived, so that I could alert him to my neighbors irrigation heads and a problem corner of our yard. Thanks to him and Rainbow for another good aeration job!

Rainbow Lawncare has done a wonderful job servicing my lawn this year. I had previously used another company for years, and this year decided to make the switch to organic lawn care. I have a beautiful lawn without all the chemicals. I recently had my lawn aerated and over seeded. The tech was very careful to cover the entire lawn and took care to not hit my sprinkler heads. I will be using Rainbow Lawn Care again next year.

Scheduled online request for 2-pass aeration. Their automated system said we would be contacted within 48 hours to set up time. Took 3 calls and 3 weeks to finally get them to put us on the schedule so we basically missed the window for overseeding our lawn. Operator clearly didnt go over the lawn twice, left about 3ft along the lawn perimeter missed some large sections completely. While doing the job the operator ran the machine into the structure of a shed I am in the process of framing and collapsed the whole thing. My wife saw it happen and went out to confront him and he pretended like it didnt happen. We were home at at the time of the service and the operator left without checking in and confirming the job was done to our satisfaction. When we called the office to report our issue the receptionist was very impolite. Side note, we have been very happy with Rainbows tree service... this was our first experience with Rainbow Lawncare and it will be our last.

Contacted Rainbow Lawncare early-mid September to aerate and overseed. Was told service would be completed within two weeks. Three weeks later was told tech would be over next day, which didnt work due to the lawn not being prepped for seeding due to no communication, or the following week. Picked the following week even though its past the window for fall seeding hoping weather would be warmer than usual and the techs no called no showed on the scheduled day. Nothing else to say.

Had the double pass lawn aeration performed. Excellent job. They even did the easement between our place and the neighbor s. Definitely exceeded expectations!

Our lawn is burnt from their treatment and Ive had no response from them so far. Person I complained to was rude, said they would get out to us soon, a week later..... They were late in treating our lawn this spring, forgot about us. This is the worst lawn care experience weve ever had, do not hire! Company rep called to say what would be done to remedy the situation after I posted this message, then never came out to make the changes this Fall, very poor service.

Moved into a new house with a lawn that needed some major work. Fantastic service and helped get our yard into shape this summer/fall. Will absolutely keep coming back for weed treatments and any other services that may pop up. Also used Rainbow Treecare for some small stump removal. They were also fantastic. Cant say enough nice things about this company.

About a week ago, Rainbow Lawncare came and aerated my yard. Perry did the work. Hes a nice, conscientious young guy who did a thorough job. I just finished fertilizing and overseeding my yard, and I could tell that he had been all over the yard with his aeration machine. Id certainly use Rainbows services again. Rainbow Lawncare has been reliable and easy to work with for years. They offer many types of programs. We used them to replace our regular grass with no-mow fine fescue, and they maintain it beautifully with organic products. Prices are comparable to other agencies, but service is excellent.

Weve employed Rainbow Lawn services for several years now. We scheduled our lawn aeration this week with them. I mentioned that I wanted to speak to the person doing the work for us ahead of time, because we had new cement poured, and I wanted to minimize grounding in dirt, etc., into the new cement. The service person, Marcus was very responsive and conscientious about my concerns, and was extremely careful to minimize any unnecessary messes to my cement or yard (aeration is initially pretty messy). To his credit, the work was performed and exceeded my expectations. I might add that I have been pleased in the past with Rainbows service and responsiveness to any other questions or concerns I might have had. I highly recommend this company for lawn service. Lawn service completed as expected. Yard was newly sodded late fall 2017. Yard now recovered from crummy MN winter and sod gaps less visible. Looks great.

They do what they say and when. Great call back service if needed.

This is my first year with Rainbow so I cant give 5 stars yet as I need to see how well their weed and feed program works first. I can say that their price was reasonable, they show up on time, leave a nice report and best of all no weekly or bi-weekly phone calls trying to sell me grub /pest/thatch/tree or whatever else they can come up with to get into my checkbook.

Very disappointed. Have been longtime fans of Rainbows arborist services and continue to use them but our experiences with the lawn care division has left much to be desired. Numerous areas of the lawn appear burned after fertilizer application. Half of the front lawn was omitted during core aeration. Have been waiting over two weeks for a response to my inquiries and yet no reply to emails or multiple phone messages left.

Customer service is great -- very responsive and helpful. This is our first year of lawn care service. I like the treatment options offered. We went with the 50/50 organic fertilizer and are happy with the results so far. Weve also used Rainbow Treecare to treat our crabapple tree, which is prone to apple scab, for a few years now. It has never looked better! Highly recommend.

I had some fertilizer burn in my lawn. I contacted Rainbow Lawn Care and the promptly came out and prepared the area for reseeding and then reseeded it. These guys are good!

Have been using several of Rainbows services, including Lawncare for a few years now. Made the switch from one of the well known big lawn care services after low attention to service and details. I have found Rainbow to be much the opposite. They care about their customers, the work that they do and for their employees. We have been very pleased with our decision to place our trust in Rainbow.

We have never used a professional Lawn service until Rainbow Lawn care. We were very particular with who we choose for services and we are glad that we were. We have been very happy with Rainbow Lawn Care. Its good to know that we are using products that are safe for our pets.

Soren came bright and early this morning, explained what he was going to do. then did a thorough neat job and left a well-satisfied customer. If the seeding works as well as Soren I will do tis year after year .

Very courteous tech who let us know why he was at our address today. All applications made per contract. One issue is the fertilizer over spray left on hard surfaces which I swept off as much as possible. Would like to see tight spaces near city drains, sidewalks and patios treated with a more strategic application.

Technicians are knowledgable and professional. They show up and get the job done. I feel like the company does what it says it will do. The communication is good with Rainbow lawncare.

When I spoke with Customer Service on 10/4/18, I requested that Technician speak with me before applying the weed control material. When he arrived he started the fertilizer and weed control applications, but he did not speak with me first. I ran out to meet him and asked if he had been instructed to contact me first, and he replied that he had not been given those instructions. Fortunately, I caught him in time to show him an area where I will be reseeding and did not want weed control spray applied. If I had not heard him, I would not have been able to reseed as I had planned. Outside of this communication lapse, the Technician did his usual good job. If the communication piece had gone as intended I would have given the service a 5 rating. My concern is that communication glitches like this one have occurred previously, indicating a systemic issue exists.

I prepaid for lawn aeration online. When I called for an appointment, I was told to use the online form to prepay. This is apparently a scam. No one contacted me for over three weeks for an appointment so I called and cancelled the service on October 1st so I could hire another company. I still have not received a refund and when I called the office this morning no one had any idea where my refund was, which was supposed to take up to 21 days. I was told it could be next week. They will not credit it to my credit card and will only send a paper check. Rainbow just called me back and said it was in process. So I havent received my refund in 22 days, after being told it would not take more than 21. Dont prepay for service with this company!
