Horrible service was going to be a first time customer but they canceled on 3 times in 1 week with no reasons at all. Avoid this terrible company and their horrible customer service. The person I talked to on the phone didnt care one bit that I was a first time customer and dint care about our business. I will gladly take it elsewhere

They only care about their money. They didn t mention the policy at the first place and they charged me extra unnecessary money. Zero recommended company.

I wish it was possible to give these scammers negative stars! They offer a ridiculous teaser mow and then will charge you over five times that amount for future mows. They don t even have a customer service phone number on their website. I unfortunately gave them my credit card number and they do not have a way to close your account with them. I finally had to get a new credit card number for my peace of mind. Do yourself a favor and do not be fooled by these horrible, unethical scam artists.

Avoid at all cost . They take your cc number and never show up. I tried to have them remove my info and they said no. My atty will be in touch with them. Its a scam dont do it.

I have had a decent experience with LawnStarter though the company providing my lawn service has changed 3 times. I was super happy with the last person to do my lawn and was hoping for them to continue but I have a new person this week after 2 weeks. The job gets done but Im not sure about consistency in operators.

Changed my service time from Monday to Tuesday to Wednesday to Thursday. Mower did half the job and then left. Spent 2 days trying to get a lawn starter person on the phone. Offered to replace the crew but couldnt do that for another 2 days. Eventually canceled everything. Totally unequipped for the business theyre in. Find someone else.

Shawn Ridge does a great job when he shows up bi weekly, every now and again either weather or an issue with his equipment arises but he always reaches out to me to let me know there will be a delay.

You dont spray in November in Minnesota! You guys crazy! I never ordered this service anyway! I told the gal over the phone but she added it anyway! My husband is a lawn service owner. The only reason I ordered it because he was out of town for awhile! I wanted one mow and you couldnt do it! Basically spraying my leaves since I havent done fall clean up!. You going to spray in the winter too ???!!

Professional, detailed, quality service

Bad programmatic system in place, as you schedule automatically your service in their system, they will keep charging your account for lawn cleaning even during the winter time. Theirs crew will show up and take pictures on your property to confirm that they did their job while no lawn services was necessary. They charged my account since for two months without need of services and they keep arguing that its because i didnt canceled the service in their system. So unprofessional to pretend cleaning the lawn while in Minnesota, the winter starts in November till march with no need of cutting grass.

Great team, on time, used riding bagging mower and took all grass clippings with them upon completion. No damage to our lawn like other providers and a great overall look. Highly recommend!

When I first moved into a new house last spring, we had trouble finding anyone who could mow. This app was quick and easy to set up and I had someone at my house within a few days! I ve never had any issues with their services. They always come on time, do an excellent job, and communicate through the app consistently and professionally.

I thought I clicked all the buttons for the review. I love these guys. They are on time, helpful (Im disabled and cant always get the kids toys and stuff out of their way and John just moves it., and do a great job! I like that they text me when they are on their way and when they are complete.

Signed up for mowing and further services over a week ago. First person canceled without any heads up (was later told he had equipment issues) the next pro never responded to messages and was a no show. Cant rely on any of their professionals.

Cannot not recommend enough. While on vacation, they no-showed on us twice in a row, would not commit to finding a replacement within 24hrs, and ultimately said they couldnt confirm if they could cut our grass based on how long it was, which was their fault.

Really good experience with this app/service over the last couple of years. Prior experience with another app was inconsistent and really low quality, so I ve been pleasantly surprised by what a great job LawnStarter has consistently done.

Service absolutely awful. 6 different crews were assigned to mow my yard and none showed up. When you called into support they weren t even able to talk to the crews assigned or guarantee they would show up so you wait days and then another crew gets assigned that doesn t show up either.

I subscribed to LawnStarter to help a widow and her disabled son get their lawn taken care of after their lawnmower broke and they got a warning from the city about the state of the lawn. Being that I was out of town and unable to help personally, I signed up for this service. The initial sign-up via the phone call was very professional, very in depth conversation about services needed, etc. Things seemed great and they said theyd be able to get out to the property within two days. They have an app to schedule services, keep updated on the current status, and communicate with the crew. Great I thought! They were scheduled for a Monday or Tuesday (depending on weather.) By Tuesday after nightfall the crew had not shown up with no communication. There had also been no poor weather. They got rescheduled for Wednesday or Thursday (depending on weather again.) I called their phone line on that Tuesday and was assured they would be there the next day. Again, no show on Wednesday. I called again and was assured theyd be there Thursday. No show on Thursday. By late evening I had to put a call out to friends who had a lawnmower and could transport it. Someone did go to help them, thankfully. At 8:45PM, after multiple messages to the crew, I finally got a response that said I coming now. By that time, the lawn was being mowed by a friend and they were almost done. So after a full week, multiple messages to the crew, numerous phone calls, follow-up emails, and assurances things would be taken care of, I cancelled the service. They never showed. If you can wait and dont like being communicated with and realize their customer service has no real authority over their crews who dont message you back, their prices are fairly reasonable I guess. I wont ever use them again. I realize my situation is a somewhat unique situation, but still, if youre gonna say youre gonna show up at a certain time and then not show up at your scheduled time 4 days in a row and not communicate with the person youre going to perform the service for, youve got some problems in your system to work out.

I have registered with LawnStarter and it has been a worst experience. Initially the service scheduled for Wednesday and without any notification changed to Thursday. No one came on Thursday and when I called the Help Desk on Friday they mentioned that service may be happening today. They are not sure if that is happening on Friday. This is completely unreliable and unacceptable. I will not recommend this to any one.

Have used LawnStarter for two years in our rental home here in MN. Weve always had a good experience- we had one provider who did a bad job but was easily replaced by a more professional provider who was on time every time and did things really well. Loved that the app told me when the crew was on their way and done- it helped me lock and unlock our back gate.

Our lawn was overgrown due to a broken lawn mower. They made it look amazing.. super friendly and great work!

They never finished the work and over charged me. They never answer the phone when you call them. They are a joke. Very unprofessional DO NOT USE THEM. They re doesn t work properly. Bunch of thieves, they take your and not do the work and never answer you calls for complains.

Never showed up for trimming of bushes and was put on hold for over an hour. Did speak with someone when I said I was a new customer, but they transferred me right back on hold.

Dont waste your time with this company. I see why they lock you into a three-service limit because their providers are trash.I had two different providers from lawn starter. The first provider lied and said they provided services that they didnt provide. Eric said he was here for over an hour, we looked back on our cameras to find he was here less than 20 minutes. The second provider canceled one day before he was supposed to show up and cut our lawn just a complete waste of time. When you call into their customer service line youre on hold for 30 plus minutes. No one answers, the your asked to leave your call back number. Never got that call back, but finally got a rep on the phone and just completely canceled the service.

They charged me for something the provider didnt do, and Im trying to reach out to the company, but Ive been on hold for 2hours now. The system on the paper looks good, but I dont think they implemented correctly. The app usabilitys not great either.

I would give this an overwhelmingly negative review I signed up because my lawn mower broke down I went with them because of the deal and they never showed up emailed them day after day the supervisor apparently no response no any type of contact Was warned by the city about my grass and had to buy another lawn mower and get it done myself which I should of done in the first place. Absolutely under no circumstances will I ever go with Lawnstarter Again.

If I could I would give them a 0 my daughter Ayrreyannia hired them and they keep charging my card 2-3 dollars 29 dollars 45dollars 49 dollars and they ve only came out once lied and stated they came when my daughter called they stated that she wouldn t be charged her next service and then there was a charge we have also asked them to take my card off the account and they state it removed but I continue to get charged I will be reporting them as it s against the law to fabricate service and charge knowing it wasn t provided I ve been on hold for 3 hours im calling the BBB fraud line my bank and an attorney they keep charging my damn card and im sick of it SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!

This company is literally inexcusably awful. They mowed my lawn once and did a bad job. Then they skipped it one week. Then the next week they claimed they mowed it when they didnt. Then I called got put on hold forever, told someone would come out. They never came out. There should be legal repercussions for the way they run their operation.

When they come they do a good job, but its unlikely that theyll come when scheduled. The service is more of a vague suggestion that they might come, or they might reschedule and cancel service without notice. Customer support is great, and after contacting support you might get the notification that your service was cancelled. The app and website will happily tell you that your crew is still coming though. With all this youd expect service to be less expensive. After all, they may or may not show up, and youll never really know which. After tipping your crew its the same price as other services.

Someone was scheduled to come, never showed up but service was marked completed. Then I called customer service either never got a call back or was put on hold forever with piano music, no way to get a hold of a person to even talk to and even if I was lucky enough once, all they said someone will come back which never happened. Irresponsible and unprofessional to say the least, no customer service either, a total scam!!!

I signed up for lawn care service on a Friday and I was told I will have the crew over to mow the lawn after few days (on Monday or Tuesday). They didn t show up even tho I called several times throughout Monday and Tuesday and I was constantly told that the crew should be coming soon. Very disappointed, the grass is long now and if they end up coming they will probably charge for long grass fee.

Had to fire my other guy...this the first time using this service...so far they have been very dependable! Will use them for fall clean up.

They didn t come the first time around, but rescheduled and they camegg out . Crew did a amazing job and I m happy I gave them a second chance . My Yard is looking amazing. VERY SATISFIED!!!!!

They never showed up, constant run around as to when they will show up. Someone from LawnStarter contacted me by text, NEVER mentioned who they were. Just are you looking for lawn service. IDK maybe its my new neighbor asking if I need help picking up the leaves. Messages about our best crew will be there in the next few days. Also text messages is now a good time to talk. Not ONE phone call. 12 days later I cancelled the whole thing because NO ONE EVER Showed up. What a complete waste of time.

I paid for 3 lawn mowing sessions and only received 2. The help specialist told me there was nothing they could do to help me since it is outside a 5 day complaint window. How can there be a window on work that wasnt performed. Terrible customer service.

We have had a lot of success with LawnStarter. When we have requested quotes on additional services they have been very responsive. The lawn care providers have been courteous, professional and very hard working. Our yard is not great, hence the use of a service, so we appreciate the hard work and making it look good.

Fantastic service throughout the mowing season. Made it so simple to keep our large lawn cut and also taking care of the leaf removal for us. Glad we found this service. Jeremy was great. Highly recommend.

At first this lawn service was amazing. We had a good crew who did an awesome job and the App is very convenient and easy to use. Then they would change crews without even telling us. Since doing so, we just got a new crew who totally wrecked, killed our grass in the front yard. I m totally sick, sad and upset because I ve been working so hard to get the grass to grow, then it finally looks beautiful and this crew killed it. I use to recommend this company, but not anymore.

Did not provide my number or information to this company. They began texting me and continued after I stated that I did not need there service and requested to be removed from their list. In the end, I needed to block their number.

Called for a quote on a one- time service as advertised on their website and had previously discussed with one of their employees that contacted me via text, and was told by the rep. on the phone that they dont offer one- time services. Very misleading.

My initial service was unsatisfactory. Uneven lengths of grass left, edging only partly done. When I got a request to let them know how they did on that first service, I let them know I wasn t satisfied so they immediately refunded that first mow and said they would send out another crew. That reschedule never happened so they rescheduled again, which also never happened. Then my bi-weekly time came up again for my regular mow and they never showed in the 2 day window given to me. Ended up canceling the service altogether and am going to find a more reliable mowing company. While I know it s been raining off and on, I would have hoped that they d prioritize an unhappy customer to make things right like they promised.

They are awful. No stars! Cut lawns unevenly, skipped whole sections of yard. Then when fixed the bad job, charged me a second time.

If you live on the north side of Minneapolis or if you are African American, stay away from lawn starter. With continual rescheduling me to fit someone else in, I had to end my account.

BEWARE - They killed my 10+ week old sod. I hired this company while I was out of town. I called on a Tuesday, they had a provider cut my lawn Friday. On Saturday my realtor held an open house and sent me videos & photos of a burned lawn that was cut short, unevenly all the way to the ground in some spots, and because it was cut so short 95% of my beautiful green sod got burned. I called Lawn Starter & asked to switch providers, and have the new provider evaluate if we need to file a damage claim. He was also supposed to trim the missed areas, blow the grass clippings, and water. The new provider, Tim, said he watered and blew the grass clippings, and trimmed the missed areas. I got an estimate from Tim who said it needs water, gets full sun, and that is why it died - and the quote was to water for $30+. I was in town the next day so I went to the house to see what was going on. The grass was watered every day for 10 weeks, also - Minneapolis encountered rain and cloudy days nearly every day up to this service. My visit revealed patches of missed grass (long spots), even the area I sent Tim a picture of got missed. The back yard went from green lush grass to mostly brown and looking dead. I watered the lawn again myself. Here is the icing on the cake - I called the main number and a representative named Iris said I dont even see that we cut your grass, could this be a second account? I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said we dont have supervisors directly available, they only email you - you will get a response in 24 to 48 hours. A lot of good that will do me when it now has to be watered every single day to try to bring it back to life. I have no confidence at this point that they will take care of me and this situation. I will be hiring a different lawn care company. This is the most unprofessional, most untrustworthy, worst lawn care company you could ever hire. Stay away from Lawn Starter, you will be glad you did - I sure wish I hired someone else. BEWARE!

LawnStarter does not manage customer issues appropriately. Many target dates not kept during the past two weeks by two teams. Our lawn remains unmowed since the initial mow in May. Will update this review on June 20th.

I do not understand how they could possibly be in business???? They provided us a 2 day window and then sent text after 2pm of day two stating he couldnt come out because he didnt feel well. My husband texted him back to tell him this was unacceptable and he responded that he wouldnt be coming out. Needless to say, we canceled service. Very rude and unprofessional.

This company has excellent reviews, so I requested a quote and was pursued by there salesman. Eventually I signed up. I was informed that what was supposed to be my first day of service would be postponed and was given a new date. Again I was notified that my service date would change (and it wasnt due to the weather!) This went on two more times. I was given excuse after excuse as to why they werent able to come out. This is by far the most unreliable company Ive ever dealt with. Wouldnt recommend their services.

FIND ANOTHER COMPANY TO SERVICE YOUR LAWN!!!!! If I could give it 0 star I would! But 1 star to get my review in, will have to do! So I signed up on bi weekly mowing schedule, the 3rd mowing service, the guy emailed and said he cannot come but will mow the week after, which he did. One off?? No! He was supposed to mow on June 28, but emailed and said he again.. can t come but will mow Tuesday July 2. Ok, last time, he came through , so we waited. Tuesday came and he emailed again saying he would come on Thursday July 4th. Strange, but fine, only 2 more days! He didn t show up. No email on when he was planning to come. Now here s the KICKER: I emailed LawnStarter to ASK if they can find out whether he will come on Friday, because otherwise something needed to be done, my lawn is 3 weeks from last mowed by this time. WHAT DID LAWNSTARTER do? CANCEL MY ACCOUNT!!!!!! Right! That s how they resolve customer service issue. My email was courteous and polite. I was simply asking them whether the promised service is going to be rendered! Now they are washing their hands completely. Good luck trying to get ahold of a person over the phone. I was on hold for 27 minutes before deciding that finding a place to write these reviews is a better way to waste my time! DONT USE THEM!!

Terrible customer service - worse than your cable company - seriously! They wanted to move my very first service earlier in the week due to rain. I requested it to be moved later instead and specified that I wanted all future services to remain on Thursdays. No issues. My lawn was mowed the day later and it was fine. I expected someone to show up next Thursday and nothing. I call to find out that ALL of my services have been moved. Now my window is Friday to Monday and Ill likely be assessed a fee for long grass. The person I talked to said theres no waiver for that and that she couldnt contact my lawn crew directly. Seriously? The next person I spoke to was much more helpful, but still couldnt get my date adjusted. Ill plan to work directly with a local service after my 2nd and last service with LawnStarter.

Really bad communication - I called many times only to be waiting on the call for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes the call finally hung up on its own. The guy who kept rescheduling confirmed that theyll come today - only for me to get an email saying theyll no longer be servicing our property. This is ridiculous because we were quoted for under 6 inches and with all the reschedules the grass has grown since - meaning now they can charge for the extra 6-9. This is ridiculous. Note that if you use new customer option when you call - there are reps available to take your call right away. Really disappointed with them - going to cancel.

I would have given zero stars, I scheduled a first mow and it kept pushing for three times and no one responds in the call. I would not recommend this to anyone.

The service never shows. Promises new dates and then never shows. The customer service then promises new dates and no one shows.

Awesome and reliable service

Charged me $100 to cut my grass. The original charge should ve been $34. Sent an initial charge of $49 then sent a second charge for $47. That s way too much. Claimed grass was too high in an area of the yard. Typically people let you know when you will have extra charges incur. But not these guys. COMPLETE SCAM ARTIST!!!

A little more expensive than they guy mowing the neighbors yard, but my LawnStarter guy, Miguel, has been more reliable than any other Ive tried to contract. Easy, conversation free, way to get lawn service.

I have used another lawn service prior to Lawnstarter that charged double the price and mediocre service. It is a complete 180 with Lawnstarter pricing and service I would highly recommend using them to anyone.

I began using LawnStarter a little over a month ago. They have been great. I started with my first crew and they did two cuts. They did a fine job. They also provided some quotes on other needed yard work. The quotes seemed high to me, and I was not pleased with the timeliness of that crews response. I called LawnStarter and expressed my concerns. They were receptive and understanding. They set me up with a new crew right away. Sharon, with Be A Blessing Lawn &Tree Service, has been wonderful. She did an amazing job with my normal lawn services, provided reasonable quotes for my other needs, and performed them all in a timely fashion. Im so pleased! Highly recommend them. :)

This service is amazing. I love the ease of scheduling. I also love the notifications I get when the work is complete. Its so satisfying to get home from work and my lawn is mowed. In terms of actual quality of work, Josue has exceeded my expectations (much better than Id do myself) and the prices are reasonable.

Dana did an exceptional job with my lawn. Not only did I come home to a yard that was immaculately trimmed and a drive-way that was cleared of the weekly debris that typically falls, but Dana had also edged and cleaned all along my private sidewalks as well as the city sidewalk. LawnStarter is a great company with real lawn pros i used the othe lawn services in the past im not gonna call them out by name but there name does have LOVE IN IT MAN THEY WERE A TERRIBLE COMPANY THEY PUT 0 LOVE IN THERE WORK SHOW UP AT DARK TRY TO MOW PULL UP IN A CAR WITH A MOWER IN THE TRUNK I HAD TO SEND THAT LOVE COMPANY DOWN THE STREET...THEN I FOUND LAWNSTARTER THEY DO BEAUTIFUL WORK THEY ARE PROS THE PULL UP WITH A TRAILER REAL LAWN EQUIPMENT PRO MOWERS EDGERS BLOWERS LAWNSTARTER IS THE WAY TO GO GIVE THEM A TRY LAWNSTARTER WILL PUT LOVE IN YOUR YARD.......DO NOT GET SUCKED IN BY THAT OTHER COMPANY I MENTIONED IF IT SAYS LOVE IN THE NAME PASS IT ON BY YOU WILL DRIVE YOURSELF INSANE WITH THAT COMPANY...TAKE MY ADVISE GIVE LAWNSTARTER A CALL YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID......

We had an appointment scheduled with Ross but due to the weather we needed to reschedule. Artemio from Lawnstarter Lawn Care Service has mowed my lawn in Porter, Texas twice now and he has done a wonderful job. The lawn looks absolutely awesome.

Ive been waiting since Monday, every day they say they will come tomorrow, bad customer service I called 5 times today and they told me they will contact the crew and come here till 8, nobody showed up. Im about to get fine after the weekend probably. Dont take risks call a different company

LawnStarter is a great company! They do an amazing job in the lawn, keeping it a perfect length. They also edge and maintains clean lines at the sidewalk, driveway, etc. I also love when you have a question and they respond quickly and promptly. They are appropriately priced and have wonderful customer service and a great team of professionals to take care of your lawn. I would highly recommend Lawn Starter!

The guy who came had No crew, only a lawn mower, No blower and No trimmer. He left grass clippings All on my porch and sidewalks and my garage and house. Also No trim work was done, No Blower work. This seems to be a company who has an App that Allows anyone with a lawn mower to sign up. DONT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Friendly employees, quality work, easy to schedule, user friendly app, the only draw back Ive found is that they seem to have problems with rescheduling and/or finding replacements to mow on time, but they work with you to figure it out and communicate well to get the job done ASAP.

LawnStarter has been great to work with. Our local crew run by Josue has been doing a great job since we first employed their services. Our lawn looks great and they have listened to the details I outlined perfectly. Five stars we ll deserved.

Ive been using them for a few weeks now and I absolutely love how simple it is! Just login on their app and schedule the service. If you have special requests you can do it on there as well. They charge your card and you dont have to worry about catching up with the yard guy to pay him. So simple and easy and I really wish I had found this sooner!
