Adding comments on phase 2! We love our back yard! The work that Hannah and the rest of the planting team did to get our landscaping complete is amazing! I couldn t believe they were able to complete all the planting in one day. Also, Hannah was so helpful with giving tips to keep the new plants happy and healthy, loved her positive energy and her passion for plants! We had a few things not survive and Brandon has been so helpful to get it to what we really wanted it to be. I go outside and I just feel so happy when I see it all starting to bloom. We love what they did so far! We started phase 1 (trees, edging, and sod) of our landscaping project this year. We wanted to completely start over and simplify the backyard, it was really unmanageable for our lifestyle. We used the design services to make sure we were selecting things we wanted and the layout was what we could handle. Brandon was so quick to respond and helped us understand what types of plants and trees would meet our needs. When the crew came out, they were so friendly and their level of detail was so great. They took initiative to arrange some boulders that weren t originally planned for and that element turn out so nicely. They worked incredibly hard and finished before all the rain that was expected to come in. Overall, great experience and we love how our yard is shaping out. We can t wait for the springtime to get to phase 2!

3 Bears cleared out old layers of mulch in addition to adding new mulch. Our yard and landscaping look just perfect like brand new. The team both showed great attention to detail and we could tell they cared about making our yard look as good as possible. They even pushed back some of the mulch that had drifted down onto our sidewalk so we have 6 more of sidewalk now. This is easily the best level of landscaping service we ve had!

I had used 3 Bears in the past and found them quite satisfactory. I discontinued their service for reasons unrelated to their performance. This year, I developed a health problem in December and applied to 3 Bears late in the season for assistance. I was grateful that they were willing to accommodate me.

For the 2023-2024 season 3 Bears cleared snow from my driveway and sidewalks one time. Granted weather conditions are unpracticable, but most businesses with a conscience would offer some gesture in good faith, but not this company. My contract was for $370 a month, for five months. Outrageous for one clearing of snow.

We had a patio that needed some repair and we also requested some light landscaping and mulching. Time was important. 3Bears got the job done promptly and it looks great.

Management is responsive and workers are conscientious. Usually they have a senior person on the execution team whos interested in the expectations of the property owner and sees the job is done well.

Definitely a good choice!

3 Bears tackled a project that would have taken me weeks in a matter of days. They had a nice, efficient recommendation and made the front of my house so much more organized and clean with river rock and natural grasses. They cleaned up after themselves too which was super appreciated!

They redesigned the front yard to be filled with native pollinator plants and a clover patch that has attracted many new bees to our garden. We could not be happier!

We were very disappointed in our experience with 3Bears in the end. We chose them because they were a local company and we wanted to support a small business. Initially it started ok. In hindsight I feel we overpaid for our landscape design which took many months to even get a draft of - weeks past their promised date. We removed 4 trees in preparation for a significant landscaping project with them spending thousands of dollars on tree work alone. We hadnt heard about next steps and reached out to them and quickly learned 1) various staff we worked with were no longer with the company and as such 2) 3Bears told us they could no longer do our project. The owner stated he must have forgotten to email us. While I know its been a rough few years for many small businesses, Im generally just really upset and dissatisfied with their communication and customer service.

3Bears did an absolutely amazing job on my lawn. The owner was knowledgeable and communicative letting me know what work they were doing and why, as well as follow up steps I would need to do to help maintain the work done. In addition, the workers were kind, respectful and worked very diligently. They made sure that the work was done thoroughly and properly and were very kind and informative when I spoke with them. I would definitely employ them again in the future for any other services I need for my property.

When a company completes small projects well I would believe that they would complete the larger projects well. I am very pleased with 3 Bears Landscaping, a local business. They completed our project on time, on budget, and were very pleasant to work with. They exceeded our expectations and they get high marks!

3 Bears did a great job installing a new garden path on the side of my house. They worked efficiently, carefully, and with minimal disruption to the neighbors. I appreciated the cleanup and final walkthrough the next day, as well.

We have worked with 3 Bears for two projects now and highly recommend. Last fall we did some soft scaping and this spring worked with them to put in a large patio, retaining wall and additional plants. Clare was so great to work with during the design phase and plant selection. Eric and his install crew are experienced, professional and work with you to make sure everything meets your expectations. It was a cold and muddy spring and not the best weather for instal but everyone on the crew was so positive and didn t miss a beat. We absolutely love our new outdoor space!!

Excellent, timely professional service!

This is a revised review and I am sad to make it- I love to support local businesses and those who employ minority workers. Customers beware- There is NO guarantee. Less than a year after our patio was completed it started chipping and yes the site supervisors tour the property during the project and completion and signed off not just the workers. We contacted them and they admitted fault and said they would repair, along with trees that died early on. They also admitted that there was not enough soil on top of the aggregate for the paved patio grading for the sod to stick and later passed it off to drought (sept when we contacted them June 3rd). I have filed a complaint with the BBB, contacted the vendor to share our correspondence that they installed incorrectly and they are making their product look bad. I have also hired an attorney after the owners threats in attempt to recoup monies to have the patio repaired by another company who will stand by their work. Hire at your own risk. The owner is unprofessional and non responsive- We contacted the team back on June 3rd and they are now refusing to repair the poor work. I should have reviewed the negative review responses as that would have been a red flag. Hire a company who honors their work and their contract and cares about their customers.

3 Bears Landscaping stepped in at the beginning of the summer 2021 for mowing and lawn care of our homeowners assocition property when our existing contactor had to bow out for health reasons. We found 3 Bears to be very responsive, responsible and professional for our HOAs needs. Very good service and excellent communication with us as customers. I highly recommend 3 Bears.

3 Bears completely transformed our backyard! Brandon provided a vision of what could be from a space we rarely used. They replaced a crumbling retaining wall and re-landscaped the yard to create an awesome patio space for small outdoor fire pit gatherings. 3 Bears also had one of the most reasonable quotes for the new wall. The crew was friendly and flexible and always left the work site clean and orderly! On the few concerns we had on the final project, they addressed them and fixed them quickly. Brandon and his team have a great approach and value system for their company and the planet.

We use 3 Bears for snow removal at my business. They are prompt and thorough and responsive when contacted.

We had issues with water in our basement and Brandon came up with a plan that took care of that, plus added beauty to our yard. All the employees we came in contact with were professional, friendly, and hard-working.

Called, spoke with someone about having some work done but you could tell the representative was not interested in doing the work but wouldnt say so. They said they would get back to me with an estimate and all I got was a text message with a vague estimate. I wish they had just declined right away so I wouldnt have wasted time waiting for an estimate. Would not recommend.

The 3 Bears team is top notch! Very professional. Responsive to individual customer needs. Innovative solutions for lawn and snow needs. I ve worked with Brandon and his team for several years while redoing my yard and then again when I needed snow removal services. I can t recommend them enough.

If you want to make your neighbors life a living hell hire them. My next door neighbors used them. I discovered a board with nails sticking up in my driveway. I now have to check the driveway every time I pull in or out of my garage. I also have to back down the alley since their truck is blocking the alley all day everyday. They also thought it would be a good idea to put their porta potty on my boulevard. Why should I have to deal with that. Put it on the neighbors property that you are working on. I am trying to work from home and it is very hard to concentrate or be on a conference call with these loud mouths next door. Have some respect for others.

The entire 3 Bears team from design to installation and clean up were simply fantastic. They were flexible, listened to us, gave good advise and ultimately met our goals. We will definitely be using 3 Bears again for our next round of fix-me-ups.

3 Bears did a terrific job--start to finish. Claire make a great design and as the project was being implemented, adjusted plans easily as we came up with some new ideas. Every team member was polite, kind and skilled. I highly recommend them for any landscaping need.

Cant comment on the landscaping because we never got that far - my experience with 3 Bears Landscaping was unfortunately poor and unprofessional. We were really excited to get some work done on both the front and back and following a phone consult and an in-person visit, paid the $795 for a design to the front and back. They reached out and we agreed on a scheduled time - but no one ever showed up. My partner and I moved around our schedules to fit and not only did no one show up, no one even called or responded to my email when I asked where they were. I wasnt able to talk to Brandon, the owner, until I scheduled a follow up call with him four days later. They received an extra star for offering a refund, which we took. Maybe just an off week as a lot of other people have had really positive experiences? We found it frustrating and also confusing that we were willing to spend money and commit to a landscaping plan, and they didnt really seem to care. Again, cant comment on landscaping work as we never got there, even though my partner and I had wanted to.

I had a specific vision for redoing our back patio, and Brandon and his team were great to work with. They created a design that worked with our space, needs, and ideas. They also made some suggestions for our existing lighting system and for moving the existing flagstones to our front yard, which made that space more usable as well. It was a great experience and we loved that they were a local neighborhood business.

I recommend 3 Bears! They helped us modify our backyard to repair sod, adjust flower beds, and complete a lovely brick path. They got to us a week earlier than they originally thought (which delighted me) and finished promptly. Im looking forward to spring to see their work again.

4.5 stars if I could! There were some communication issues but we worked through them just fine. The crew was receptive to changes and talking through the process. The result of the work is lovely. We are very pleased.

The 3 Bears team installed a lovely patio and walkways in our South Minneapolis homes backyard. Two years later, when damage occurred due to a fence installation, the team returned to make repairs and charged a VERY affordable price to do so. Well continue to use them for our hardscape needs. We were more than happy to support a locally owned small business and even more pleased with the quality of work and responsiveness of the team.

3 Bears has been fantastic this entire Winter season! They have always provided timely, quality snow removal service, and their communications to customers is always timely and has great information. 3 Bears always impresses me!

We had a very nice patio installed at the very end of last year. Totally satisfied with the results. From start to finish Brandon and the entire crew were prompt, courteous and communicative. Weekly updates helped keep me in the loop as to when my project was coming up in the queue. Looking forward to working with them again when we get ready for our next phase!

3 Bears have provided snow removal for my property for the past 2 Winter Seasons. The staff have always done a great job clearing the snow after each snowfall of greater than 1 inch. The owner and office staff are very communicative prior to each expected snowfall. Very professional service all around. I will continue to use 3 Bears for future snow removal.

Our project included having a 20 ft retaining wall built, a 15 x 30 ft paver patio rebuilt, 200 ft of drain tile installed, 200 rolls of sod installed, a burm built and plantings per design. The quality of work was very good. The team was nice and capable. The cost was reasonable. Most importantly the schedule was communicated very well and the work was done when they said it would be.

Work was done quickly and hopefully the plants come in nicely this spring.

I had a smaller project (dirt removal, paving stones and garden beds on one side of our house) that several other landscapers I called were not interested in, but Brandon and 3 Bears took the job for a reasonable price and were able to get it scheduled and completed very quickly. There was one small miscommunication about part of the garden beds, but as soon as it was brought to their attention they corrected it right away. Everything looks great and we couldnt be happier. Thanks Brandon and 3 Bears!

Brandon and his team did an amazing job with our backyard, taking out an incredible amount of river rock, adding a retaining wall, 2 new gardens and new edging. Brandon was prompt with his initial consultation, gave us an excellent design plan upon request, and left everything clean and tidy upon completion. Quotes were very competitive as well, would highly recommend.

We hired Three Bears last summer to do some landscaping. We loved their design and they were very friendly to work with. We had a bit of a communication issue this spring in trying to get them to take a look at some of the plants that did not survive the harsh winter. Once we cleared up the communications issue, they could not have been more helpful. Brandon, the owner, personally apologized for the mixup and informed us how they would make it better. We would hire them again!

5 stars because their customer service is excellent and the owner stands behind his word. God bless him and his family.

I cannot be any happier with Brandon and his team or with how my yard now looks. I hired 3 Bears for a very extensive landscaping project. My front and back yards were a mess- tons of growth and weeds left by the previous homeowner. Brandon and his team designed and built a beautiful plan and executed on it perfectly. I have unique and amazing hardscapes and beautiful softscapes. They were able to match my style and preferences in the entire yard. Strongly recommend 3 Bears for small and large projects- I will be using them going forward for maintenance and other projects.

Brandon and his entire team at 3 Bears were nothing but great to work with. Ive never had a landscaping company come out to do work on my lawn before as I usually do the work myself, but they were very professional, responsive with emails, and sending quotes. Once I got the services scheduled, they were great at giving me a heads up on when their team would be stopping by. The work (weeding & spring clean up ) was was done exceptionally well, and done at a reasonable price, and my wife and I are absolutely pleased with how it turned out. I would highly recommend them in the future.

3 Bears was a great fit for us and our project! We needed things done as a phased approach in order to accommodate our irrigation system installation by another company. The 3 Bears office manager was in touch with me frequently to let me know when they were planning on coming to do the work. They were always on time and the crew was very friendly. It truly seemed as though everyone wanted our project to be successful. Brandon, the owner, is great to work with and his enthusiasm for his work is contagious. We also relied on Heather, the landscape designer, to help us choose our plants. She quickly picked up on what our taste was/wasnt and had plenty of ideas and thoughts to share. Overall, this project was a success from beginning to end.

I have nothing but positive things to say about 3 Bears. We had a medium size drainage mitigation and hardscape project completed just recently by them. Brandon is easy to work with, provided detailed proposals, and worked with us as plans changed slightly prior to project start date. His landscapers were great - prompt, courteous, cleaned up at the end of the day, careful of our possessions, and I couldnt believe how much they got done in the period they were here. I would certainly recommend them again and use their services in the future.

We were delighted to work with 3 Bears to add a patio to our backyard and demo/widen our steps. I had French drains installed. 3 Bears was very pleasant to work with. All the way from the estimate, to the work completion. The office staff was also very polite and accommodating. They spent the time with me to ensure the job was done in the way we wanted but also offered professional advice when asked. I chose them over other less pricey option because I felt they listened and seemed very competent. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because they were more expensive than the competition; however, I was willing to pay more to avoid shoddy work and other headaches. I would recommend 3 Bears.
