I have to admit, I was concerned when I saw the recent negative reviews but something about them seemed fishy! I'm happy to share they were/are, and now wonder if someone is trying to sabotage the business. I submitted contact/quote requests to 5 local businesses for bed edging, mulching, burying downspouts away from the house, some stone work, etc. Chad, the owner, contacted me the matter of 20 minutes literally (3 of the 4 other businesses with reputable names never even contacted me after a week). They had a opening in the schedule between two big jobs, worked with me on the quote to fit budget and needs, and Chad was prompt, courteous, and very helpful all the way through. He contacted me stating when they guys would be here, stopped out 3 different times over a small 2 day project, and the icing on the cake was the team of 4 guys doing the work. The team lead kept me up to speed and asked me a few preferences during the work which was awesome to have input, the other 3 gents appeared to be working hard, were very friendly, etc. I can't recommend them enough for the type of work I had done, and I will 100% be using their team for future landscaping/outdoor needs knowing they are a full-service business! Thanks Chad & Team for a job VERY well done!
Poor customer service and no response on calls, don't bother as I will find someone else for lawn care. They promise to come out, but 4 weeks later, still no show.
Got an estimate on 5/22. No services were performed for 3 straight weeks. Called to get clarification. Said it was because of all the rain. We had enough dry days in 3 weeks and nothing was communicated. Sent me a text on 6/12 saying they were coming that day at 3:30. It’s now 7:45pm and nothing. No call, no text. No services. As a small business owner, I would never do this to clients. Texted them I was done and would be looking elsewhere. Edit: They say they were here yet I see no evidence of that.
A completely unfortunate experience. We chose to pay more for Complete believing they would offer a premium service, but they disappointed in practically every way possible. Services were late cutting/trimming was shoddily performed, and some services weren't performed until we called to complain. They told us it was problems with staffing, but they didn't call to tell us of their difficulty...guess they were hoping we wouldn't notice. Everyone in our 8-unit condo project was in agreement that Complete did substandard work. Told them I wouldn't leave a frank review if they really performed well on Autumn clean-up, but I had to call them back to complete the unfinished job. I was initially impressed with Chad, but I'm certainly not wowed by his company's performance.
I would love to know what you put on our lawn since we are NOT customers of yours. I've tried calling, emailing, Facebook messaging, and now this review. I have dogs I would like to keep safe and healthy. Totally unacceptable. I need a response.
We used Complete Lawn Services 2019, 2020, 2021 and part of 2022. The first 3 years we were happy with the results. We paid in advance in order to receive a discount on a series of fertilizer programs along with aeration and mosquito spraying. In March 2022, , I prepaid $835 for the whole season. The season started with them skipping our prepaid aeration and soon after they fell behind on fertilizer applications. In early August, we informed them that we were moving to a new home and to stop our remaining 2 applications. After many calls, Antonia Hake, office assistant said that Chad Chapman, the owner, authorized a refund on the missing spring aeration along with the 2 future fertilizer treatments ...around $440. No refund was received and they stopped answering the phone when we called. Chad never returned calls the entire 2022 season. I called on and off for 3 months. No reply. Very frustrating after giving them our business the previous 3 years. Beware...do not trust this company.
Updating my review. We had been using CLS for years, but the quality has decreased to the point where we felt the need to cancel. Only response was a brief email confirming the cancelation, followed by a longer email in which they were essentially blaming the quality on us. I can no longer recommend CLS.
This was our second year of using CLS for our lawn fertilization and weed control treatments. The service had been fine, so in early May we had the owner, Chad Chapman, come out to provide a quote for edging our gardens, adding wood chips, over-seeding, and installing landscape lightning. The original estimated lead time was two weeks. After two weeks we contacted CLS several times and finally had Chad call us back. We were told it would be one to two more weeks. Once again the time passed and there were no update from CLS. We attempted to call them several times, email, etc. We never received a call back. We paid our last bill for our lawn treatments and wrote on the bill that we would be ending our service with CLS. We also sent an email with the same message. Today, two to three weeks later, we received a call from CLS that they would be here tomorrow to do our end of summer lawn treatments. That finally prompted this review. I don't know else to do to have our service stopped when they won't even reply. Looking on Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, it looks like we are not the only ones who have had issues with Chad Chapman.
This company is dishonest and its impossible to reach anyone. Ive called 3x and left a message that I no longer need their services. The first call was 5 months ago and they still are sending me a bill for service never performed. I have surveillance of my property and proof that they never showed up on the dates provided to me. This company is unprofessional and dishonest.
We had used CLS for nearly a decade. Recently, the company has transitioned ownership and the service has fallen from exceptional to embarrassing. Over the last year, CLS has routinely disregarded even the simplest and most explicit instructions, and has been a net negative to our family. Their owner, Chad, has even gone so far as to be outwardly disrespectful to my spouse on the phone when she attempted to communicate their errors. Its a shame, because they used to be so good. Stay away!
Chad, owner of CLS, is extremely helpful, responsive, and kind. His communication is professional and timely. He goes above and beyond to ensure my lawn is cared for. I have used several lawn services over the years and Chad and his team are by far the best. I won t hire any other team to do work on my lawn. Thank you, Chad and team!
Ive used CLS for many years and found them to be the best value after getting 6+ quotes. They fertilize our lawn and treat our trees. Ive referred many neighbors to CLS.
Northwest Baptist Church in Wauwatosa, WI. has used Complete Lawn Service for our grass cutting and lawn trimming needs since 2011 and have renewed our contract with them through 2023. Prices are competitive and they always do a great job for us.
Complete lawn service has been helping with our lawn maintenance. They do good work and are reliable.
I am completely satisfied with the lawn care services I received in 2021 and am expecting equally great service again this year.
We used Complete Lawn Services after they bought out another company. Service was okay but deteriorated every year over a few years. We felt like we were forgotten about. They did not do scheduled lawn Installments timely. The final treatment was done in December after the ground had already frozen. They seemed to not care about their customers.
Used CLS for years with good service and prompt response to calls. Unfortunately, the last few years have not been good. I always prepay for the season. Last season they showed up for one of the lawn treatments, stayed for a few minutes and drove off. No treatment. I only know this because I went to work late and saw the truck pull up. When I called CLS, they said the workers couldn t come into our yard because our dog was out. That was a lie, the dogs were upstairs with me. They said they would come back for service that day. They did not. I know this because it would have been an application of fertilizer and there were no granules on the lawn. I had to call again and fertilizer was applied, white granules . Makes me wonder how many other applications were NOT actually applied??? In addition, my lawn was NOT aerated. Paid for but not done. I was considering giving them one more chance this year, as the office manager assured me that those employees are no longer with the company, but since I can t get anybody to answer the phone, return voicemail or reply to emails I guess NOT. Ironically, I have been sent 2 requests to review their company in the last week 2 neighbors have also stopped using CLS due to poor service.
Big Bang for your dollar! Fast, efficient, and our lawn has improved immensely since CLS took over the reins. I recommend them highly.
Great service thats automatic. They keep track of when yard applications are best applied. I dont have to do a thing. Always pleasant to deal with too.
The team at Complete Lawn Services are doing great. Scott spent the time to talk with me and answered a number of questions about the care my trees as well, which was very helpful!

This service is so easy to use! Our lawn mower was not working, so we signed up online, and they have showed up every week to mow. They are very quick and efficient!
Not responsive to emails or phone calls. Can t leave a message because everyone s voicemail box is full.
Ive used CLS for the last few years but no more. They are inconsistent, dont answer the phone, dont respond to emails, and their voicemail box is full so you cant even leave a message. There is zero customer service, and its completely frustrating trying to deal with them.
CLS is very professional and has taken great care of fertilizing and weed control of my lawn. I like the fact that they blow off my deck and driveway of any over spray of product that is left from the application.
We have used CLS for many years. I love that they are consistent, reliable and affordable. They never badger us to upgrade services, but when we recently increased our lawn fertilization frequency, they quickly adjusted.
Complete Lawn Services takes great care to provide the best services possible. Owner, Chad Chapman is responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. His crew mows our 11 condo properties weekly, trims all areas and cleans up all of the grass clippings from sidewalks and driveways. They recently added fill where needed and spread mulch on all of our berm areas and around all of our trees. Everything looks great!!!

Have used their spring-summer-fall multiple application service for years. Applications have been timely, always working complete yard, never cutting corners. Arrive on day and time promised.
They are very professional. they call to tell you when they will come and call me when they are on their way so I can get my dogs inside.

I have used CLS for many years and am completely satisfied. It adapts the content of the applications to the weather (e.g. heat, drought). It also watches the weather and routinely shows up a few days before predicted rain. It uses a granular application, as well as a liquid (sparingly) for weed control when appropriate. Ive never been tempted to change to another service.

Used to have a lot of dandelions. I mean a lot! After first application in fall, I only had less than a dozen pop up in spring . I have 3/4 acre in the country.

Lawn looks great. They are on and off the property quickly but genuinely cover all of the grass. They were recommended by my neighbor for good reason. Happy to have them compared to the others I ve tried.
We have been with CLS for a number of years now. At the time we started, they had a waiting list for lawn mowing & maintenance, so we signed with another company they referred us to. CLS has kept our yard looking great with safe use of weed and pest control. They got rid of our creeping charlie and dandelions. They call or text when they will be here so that we have our pets inside. They spray for lawn pests and we use their mosquito and bug services in the summertime and autumn. We have been very satisfied with this company and would recommend them to anyone looking for the services that we use. They have really worked with us to keep our yarn in excellent condition. CLS does a really good job with weed control and fertilizing the lawn . However, over the last few months the quality of their lawn cut and edging has significantly diminished.
Very happy with Complete Lawn Service. Only complaint is prior to Spring, I got a quote and gave the ok for a job and the job was never done.

CLS has taken care of our lawn for the last two years and we are very very pleased. They have my lawn looking like a golf course. They do great work, prices are reasonable and they even give courtesy calls whenever they are coming out. I highly recommend CLS for your lawn service needs. Positive

We are the supplier for there mulch. They are now past due and owe us money for the 2022 season. Please be careful so you don t get taken like we are!!
Was sub contracted by Chad Chapman to do snow plowing, went to get paid for services i had done and he would not pay me!!! Told me to take him to court and sue him!!! He is a joke!!
They owe me over $2500.00 for not planting my eight arborvitaes. They have done my lawn care and mulch before and knew I had a sprinkler system. They said they did not know it was there. I paid upfront and the trees were never planted. So I had to file a judgement in court. Never returned my calls even after I showed up and talked to him at his company. Dont use them!
We have used CLS for several years. But this year, they have been horrible! My husband signed up over a month ago to have them do our annual spring cleanup. But they never came. We called them at least once a week for the last month. You can never get anyone to answer the phone. We always had to leave a message. They would call back promising they would be out in the next couple of days. Nothing. This same series of events continued each week for a month. They are not dependable and do not stick to their word. No apologies were given. They just never showed up. We have canceled our spring clean up as well as our lawn treatments. This company cannot he trusted!
I second many of the other reviews here. I put an order for top soil and mulch and was promised for delivery on a time range. The time came and days after, nothing. I called and left a voice mail (You never get anyone to talk to when you call), but have not received any call back. Very disappointing experience. I chose to take my business else where.

I had them out to my property to provide an estimate on aeration and overseeding. They came out on time and said they would provide an estimate the following day. It s been 3 weeks and not a peep. Have followed up with them 3 different times with no response. Would not recommend.
