RVA LawnCare in Midlothian

We have used RVA for about 5 years. In October we signed up for leaf clean up and asked for the first week of December. No one showed up and no one communicated to us. When I reached out they said they would be out the next week. Again no one showed up and no communication. I left multiple messages with no response. Once I indicated we would consider the agreement void if we didn’t hear back I received an email saying they had equipment issues. No apology. We are now making outreaches to find someone else. We understand weather and equipment issues happen but to not communicate with your customer is not the way to retain them. Based upon other reviews it appears others have experienced similar which is disappointing.

I used this company last year for leaf removal, and everything was fine. This year, I approved an estimate for the same service in September. When service was supposed to begin in October, they never showed up and did not respond to multiple emails and voice mails inquiring. I see other reviewers have experienced the same non-response. If you want reliable service, this is not the company for you.

Took nearly a month to respond to my work request. Came out to look, said they’d do the job in a couple weeks, still not offering a firm quote, and then ghosted me, like another reviewer experienced. Never responded to my calls or messages. Unprofessional.

Hey , if you want quality work done in you yard. You need to hire RVA Lawn and LandscapeThey do awesome work and at a very reasonable price.

Had a portion of the yard regraded, reseeded, and 3 trees planted earlier this year. Fairly easy to get everything set up and the regrading has held up just fine, but one of the three trees has completely died and another looks to be well on it's way to the same fate. Had to email multiple times but we finally got someone come out to look at the dead tree, but never received a follow up about fixing the problem. Hate to leave bad reviews for a local business but can't get anyone to respond to me so not much else I could do.

RVA lawn and landscape just completed mulching around my home, weeding and creating a border around the entire house they also mulched and landscaped around a small garden in the front of my home. The cruise showed up quickly and did the work within 2 days. I am very pleased with their service and price and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lawn and landscape company. I don't know why there are negative reviews on Google however I would urge you to check out their Facebook page.

Hello all, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to make you aware of the experience we had with this vendor. We had used them several times in the past for seeding and aerating and had pretty good experiences so we decided to get them to power wash our home. After they finished one of the guys mentioned that they had power washed our front porch concrete landing as well. We had not requested that as part of the job, and it even states in their contract that there will be a separate charge for that. Within minutes of it drying I noticed that there were pieces that had come up during the wash and in fact you could see the pattern the spray took within the entire slab. I emailed the company right away and was called back that same day from a gentleman who stated that he was a manager and that the owner was going to come by that day and take a look. I was pleasantly surprised when he showed up and said they would take care of it. He left and I was feeling pretty good that they would make it right since they damaged it. That was on June 17th/2020. Several emails were sent from June – Aug. To their credit every email was answered and we were given various reasons why this process was taking a long time. Aug 17th/2020 two RVA landscapes employees showed up and explained the process they were going to use resurface the concrete. Please note they do not do concrete work but we were assured the gentleman working on it was experienced. Working around a vacation schedule on both sides and weather conditions they came out Friday September 5th/2020. I will just say the final product was really bad. Everything from it being uneven in places to air holes to it being streaked and black marks throughout. I also had cement on my driveway. We were informed they were done with us, but they were not going to charge me for the power wash. Needless to say it was a frustrating process and I just wanted to put our experience out there if it would save someone some trouble. It ended up costing us $900 dollars to get this fixed.

Update: RVA Lawncare did contact me quickly after I posted this review, offering a discount. As I had already selected another company, I didn't accept the offer, so I can't speak to their performance. But they did apologize for taking so long. Original Review: Someone from RVA Lawncare came to my house and spoke with me about the work I wanted done. The business then ghosted me over the course of several weeks, failing to give me a quote despite my repeated calls and their repeated assurances that I would hear back soon. They wasted a lot of my time.
