I am disappointed that I did not use Carolina Turf Lawn and Landscape in the past. Ive done several things as well as invested into our landscape but saw very minimal results. When we used Carolina Lawn and Landscape, I saw immediate results. I am a fan for life and will continue to use them. I would 100% recommend as they are very professional.

This company installed irrigation system, they would come out and work a few hours on a rainy day and let 2-3 nice days go by. Done a poor job of restoring the surface, where ditch had been dug with very uneven fill in certain areas. Sprays were poorly aimed and when finished there was no follow up. Try calling them, maybe you get someone and just maybe you will be able to talk the person you want to reach. They may be good at cleaning up leaves and mowing grass, but their irrigation work stinks. They don`t know me or ever performed work for me is just an excuse they put on here for their poor work. Added a photo of the price it cost me for them not doing any work.

Carolina Turf was easy to engage with on my landscape irrigation. They took the time to inspect each head. We had to adjust a few small pieces within a couple different irrigation heads to make the streams of water better. Great work. Fast working. Kind.

This company cuts grass until it is burned. They come out every week, cutting grass that doesnt need trimming.They do not apply mulch around trees or water the grass. It is overkill especially during drought in Charlotte with lack of rain. They spray for weeds in areas were flowers are growing. Killing expensive flowers and shrubbery Please see pictures.

Because of the property serviced, about half the time any work can be done, weather or site conditions.Ive requested service every other week but have not heard response. When service is done it is professional and quick for this basic property.

Do not waste your time with these folks. Do not know if they do good work or not but their customer service is horrible. It took 2 weeks to get a call back and set an appointment which was later cancelled and rescheduled. They never called or texted and did not show up on the rescheduled day.

Phil and the crew from truck 11 are amazing and go out of their way to make our landscape beautiful. Phil even helped my daughter move heavy landscape pavers.

We used Carolina Turf to install Fescue sod in our back yard. Chris and his crew are excellent! Very knowledgeable, and helpful when we first met on site, and he backed up his talk very nicely. Fantastic experience with Carolina Turf Lawn and Landscape! David and his team demolished our in ground pool, cut down 3 large trees, graded our backyard, and put down seed and straw. They were very careful to not damage our front yard with the heavy equipment. They went above and beyond and cleaned up very well. Their pricing is very fair and competitive. They came out graded and leveled out our front yard seeded and even installed an irrigation system to help with our draining as that was a huge issue when we bought the house. They have been handling my yard for several years. I appreciate the different yard care services they offer. They are always responsive to my questions and issues.

At this time (July 2023), its nearly impossible to get a call back from anyone in pretty much any of the home trades, services and construction businesses. And if you do get a call back, the first thing I notice is how they screen to ensure that my job is big enough to make it worth their time. At the same time, most of these businesses employ crude business practices that are inefficient. When I contacted Carolina Turf, they responded promptly, not just the first time, but all the time. The person I worked with, Chris, was professional and knowledgeable about their business and was readily able to understand what I wanted. He was simply on his game and could easily communicate with me. Thats incredibly rare. In working through a couple of estimates, accepting an estimate, and getting set up in their system, everything ran smoothly. And now when I contact them for any reason, I dont have to wait and wonder if or when they will contact me back. They just have their business buttoned down, and it shows.

Used Carolina Turf for a back yard project. Some of the work included grading the land, creating a framed play area that was filled will mulch and encapsulated by a walking path. Additionally, they laid down new grass seed, fertilizer, and material for erosion control. Working with Chris was great. He was friendly and provided expert advice on how to both approach the overall project as well as brainstorming ideas to remedy existing landscape constraints. His foreman, David was very friendly as well and provided good results onsite while managing his team. We did have a couple of hiccups along the way and there was a language barrier with the workers when David wasnt onsite. But, in the end we ended up with a beautiful back yard oasis that we look forward to using years to come. 4/5, would use Carolina turf again in the future.

These folks are amazing. We have a unique property with lots of beds, a private driveway, and an acre of lawn. Lots of shrubs and landscaping to maintain! We also have a pool project in our backyard that is half completed. Before these guys took over it looked like our luxury home and property were abandoned or lost to the wilderness lol. Weve had them do a large cleanup and weekly service and it looks well manicured now. We look forward to using them in the future for our backyard hardscape project around the pool and irrigation. Our lawn is looking great since using Carolina Turf for our lawn health. A recently added feature is a monthly payment plan, which is helping the budget in times where lots of seasonal maintenance is done. They also have great customer service and respond quickly to requests or questions.

Edit: Just want to add to this 5-star review after doing a backyard project with Carolina Turf. We worked with Chris on designing and estimating the project. He was very responsive and knowledgeable. He came over several times to take a look and there was back and forth on a rendering until we locked down the design. Then we kicked off the project with Davids team. Communication was still great and we were able to check in with David on how things were going, plus still reach out to Chris if needed. Ultimately, we re-did our wall/patio (we had a bad experience with a different company a few years ago). We are very pleased with the end result with our new retaining wall, patio, grading, sod, and mulch/plants. We even had a change order to include essentially mulching the very back where we have these big trees. The timeline and estimate were as expected. It took a few weeks during August and September to do the project, even when there was a few days of heavy rain. The final invoice was pretty much what the estimate was. The office was even very responsive when I needed to void one of the charges to switch credit cards on file. And the team was super helpful in setting up sprinklers for us to make sure the new sod was getting water right away both during the middle of the project and at the end. Plus they left the sprinklers so that we could continue to use them, which made things easier for us. As the workers stated, they worked on the project as if it was their own home. Very pleased overall. Previous review from last year: Very responsive, which I feel is very important. Took their time to explain all my questions during the quote process and helped recommend the lawn services I need. Been a good experience so far.

I watched these guys mowing my lawn. The pay attention to detail. They didn t rush through my lawn. Though I moved my patio furniture out of the way, they even put my furniture back out on my lawn. The aeration and over-seeding have been doing great we had almost bare ground in many areas. I put down topsoil and they did a good job of spreading the seed!

We are very happy with our switch to Carolina Turf. The manager Chris is super responsive and always helps take care of everything we need. We have a great relationship with Eric who takes care of our weekly maintenance and always does a great job. And the cutting crew led by Phil did a fantastic job. Plus they do a thorough job when its time for aerating and seeding too.

I hired Carolina Turf after a disaster landscape job with another Landscape company they did a great job of finishing fixing the landscape . Should have hired them from the beginning ! Their team just left from cutting the yard efficient folks with the right equipment and attitude Ish and Curt from Truck 11 were very good! I have use Carolina Turf Lawn and Landscape for quite a few years. It started with simple lawn maintenance. This summer we did an extensive remodel and addition to my home. We removed all of the landscaping and had to start over. I needed the landscaping to compliment the home. We needed something durable, low maintenance and aesthetically pleasing. I knew exactly who to trust to do this for us. Chris designed an amazing landscape for us. Then the team executed it flawlessly. This was an extensive project. We chose them for installation of artificial turf in the back yard, install new planter beds, and new bushes, etc. This project was over two weeks in duration and included extensive clearing of soil, roots, debris, etc., grading the property, and bringing in tons and tons of material to prep for the turf. When I say our yard is absolutely beautiful that would be an understatement. It is incredible. My wife, when she first saw it, said it looks like it is a fairytale it is so nice. We are beyond thrilled. This company goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Their employees are dedicated, skilled and among the most courteous people you will meet. I would recommend them to anyone. Chris, David, Alex and the many others really knocked it out of the park for us!

We spent weeks talking with various companies and I will say that Carolina Turf won us over immediately. Chris provided the most thorough and honest assessment of our situation. He took the time to walk our property and understand our vision and made excellent recommendations. Once we had decided to move forward Chris worked with us to refine the project to work with our budget and our space. Update: Im updating this review to 3 stars to reflect that they promptly fixed the billing issue (after they got a notification about this review). But not a great way to start a business relationship and I wont be using their services going forward. Original review: These guys came out and visited my property and then quoted me one set of prices and then after I accepted their proposal and gave them my credit card info they proceeded to charge my card more for each the four services they did, e.g. $137 for fertilization instead of the $97 they quoted. Before I was charged I sent them an email inquiring about the very thick mat of clippings that was left after mowing in an area of the yard where the grass had been particularly high, and which a different individual came out the day after mowing and did the fertilizer, lime, and weed control application over, and got no response.

Chris came out the first day to look at the project and run me a quote, and he was able to get a crew to my house the next day to get it cleaned up and looking much better to be able to move forward. The Carolina Turf team that provided us the service were awesome! From the first visit by Chris who was the only one ( gathered a total of 3 quotes from different vendors) that saw the same issues that concerned me and provided simple resolutions that would would fix the issues and eliminate me having later to spend additional dollars to remediate the issues. We ve used Carolina Turf for several years now! Mike Ray and awesome crew were out recently to add flower beds around our back patio! They swooped in and completed it swiftly, professionally, and beautifully

We didnt have a good experience and we are waiting for them to rectify the situation. Communication was poor. Workers showed up with out advance notice. The work was incomplete and an entire flower bed was left unweeded while decorative ground cover( obviously not weeds) was pulled out and destroyed. A crew returned on Thursday 9/9 took photos, but did not fix the problems. They also left a gate open and one of our dogs got loose. Very sloppy and inconsiderate! Our bill has been paid in full, yet we remain unhappy and disappointed with the service and company.

I always wanted a nice yard. When i contacted Carolina Turf they were very efficient from start to finish. They were on time when we schedule the estimate. The employees were really well informed and knew what they were doing. Very well trained and the end results were amazing. If you ever need work done at your home, give Carolina Turf a try.

David was very helpful in providing advice about what could be done with an area of dead junipers approximately 50x20. He answered all my questions, told me what to expect and let me know when the team would arrive. Working with a company you dont know, wanting a service, and putting money into a project can be unnerving but I was so surprised. The teams were professional, worked great with each other, and worked very hard. They finished in record time. The result exceeded my expectations. Im trying to spare you the extensive details and pictures here so I kept my original comments brief, but YES this actually happened to us. Original post: I too had very high hopes for Carolina Turf but instead experienced a lack of communication and follow through. We spent a lot of money on yard repairs, only to be left with a mess that we have to pay another company to correct. While the owner is nice and somewhat responsive, there is a clear disconnect between what we asked for, what was promised, and what was actually done. I can write several paragraphs on it, but I really cant invest any more time in these guys.

I am updating my 2- year ago review, which was the 5-star. I was pleased with this company in most their services. They are pleasant young people and provide good services. I discontinued due to the only one method of payment acceptance, which is a credit card with the complete information provided and to be stored in the company database for automatic payments. First of all, it is not save, secondly very often my card was charged ahead of services. There are plenty of good services that accept ALL existing method of payments, whatever works for both a client and a company.

The owners and workers ar Carolinas Turf are very honest, trustworthy and dependable. I have been greatly impressed with them at every level. I highly recommend this company!

My son was terminated. That is your right you own the business but You are issued uniforms and you turn them back in and they bill you 25.00 for each t-shirt, hat and hoodie. I feel this is way too much to charge for these items. Be reasonable.

I have had a great experience with Carolina Turf Lawn and Landscape. They take care of my routine lawn maintenance and just hired them to do a large landscaping project on my yard which is rather large. Eugene is prompt and the crew is high quality and works at a lightning fast past so our yard is ready to go. The work is second to none and our yard really stands out in the neighborhood. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a great value and a beautiful lawn.

This company was performing work for a neighbor and they were using large river rock for the project. I had a drainage issue on the side of my house that I thought might be solved with river rock. They looked at the area and made some suggestions that I thought were just what I had in mind. They performed the work and now my drainage issue is solved. They were professional, did quality work, cleaned up the site, including my neighbors driveway where they left some red clay, and the street where the rocks were piled. I am completely happy with their work and intend to use them on some other projects. I highly recommend them.

Started with Carolinas Turf fall 18. Our lawn was rather distressed due to grub infestation. CT shows up w/o fail unless weather not permitting, but they communicate immediately as to when they will be coming. They have genuine knowledge of lawn care, products, timing etc. which is key. What I appreciate the most is the great communication! The owner is quick to respond every single time and is most courteous. I am feeling confident heading into the hot summer months which are always the most challenging with fescue. Thank you for level of professionalism, honesty and respect.

These guys are great! I have had them do several things for me over the years, not just cutting and maintaining my yard but also projects like building a raised garden so I can grow vegetables, replacing boards on my deck and some landscaping. They are always reasonably priced, fast and do a great job.

These guys do a great job on your lawn. They do what they say they are going to do for your lawn and dont just show up and put a sign in your yard saying they serviced you like other big company landscapers.

When looking for a lawn care service company in Early March, I began by reaching out to 2 National providers for quotes - one of which is owned by a local Franchiser that lives in our neighborhood. Their follow-up was underwhelming: a few days to call/ email back, more than a week to come out to provide a quote, the quotes were then scribbled out on a company form and just stuffed in our mailbox, etc. Then I learned about Carolina Turf through Nextdoor app. I initially messsaged Eugene through the app, and he responded same day. So far, so good. He sent me a text message at my request and confirmed that he would be out to the house within 48 hours to inspect the property. He then messaged me as he was heading to my house so I could meet him there and actually discuss my current needs and goals. Finally, he prepared me a customized quote and delivered it later that evening by email and text message. Eugene and Carolina Turf had me at their follow-up. Him and his team do what they say they re going to do. And better still, they offer a great service at a very fair price. I highly recommend.

Doesnt respond quickly, reschedules, amateurish work.

Ive only had them do one job for me so far, but the experience was good. They were recommended to me by a handyman company that I use to do small to medium building projects. Eugene came, looked at the property, gave me a quote, and got the work scheduled and done all without meeting in person, which was convenient because of my work schedule. They cleared off an old and rotting privacy fence and cleared all the brush along the fence line, as well as filling in a hole from the stump of a tree that was removed a while back. Everything was done as I needed and left completely clean without a trace of mess. Price was reasonable and in line with other yard clearing and demolition work I have had done in past years.

Ive contacted Carolinas Turf Lawn and Landscape 2 weeks ago, and he did finally give a quote. I told him to please go ahead and come and start doing my weed control. He told me he would be there next Wednesday. Didnt show up, then when I texted him he said the next day they would be there. Still no show. Contacted him again and told me he would be here April 13 2017. And still no show no phone call nothing. This company is not PROFESSIONAL! BEWARE I wouldnt recommend this company.
