We hired R&S Landscaping last Fall. We had a very difficult backyard to landscape (i.e., multiple levels, large slope, ungraded land, and a lot of shade). From start to finish Blythe and her team were responsive, easy to work with and did an impeccable job. They transformed our unusable space into a graded area (such a relief with active kids) with good irrigation and growth. The landscaping design had balance, simplicity and variety. Stunning! And, with Blythes helpful instruction and advice, my husband and I have found it very easy to maintain (read: my thumb has never been particularly green). We look forward to working with them again for our next project.

The spring cleanup that R&S did on our property was exemplary, setting the tone for the high quality of the property that they have continued to maintain weekly ever since. The staff who arrive are courteous and friendly, and given our current uncertain times they are respectful and wearing full protective gear. Ive always had a great experience with R&S and highly recommend them if you are in the Wyckoff, Ridgewood, Waldwick, Midland Park or other surrounding area.

R&S in my opinion is a very good company with good people running it. I have had so many diff projects done from R&S like patio, land scaping, sodding, regular maintenance, sprinkler etc and every single time the results were better than expected. I would recommend anyone to try R&S, the basic ingredient is integrity of the owner, I feel he is doing a great job, no shortcuts in quality.

This is a top notch company. My lawn was totally overgrown with crab grass and yard was totally overgrown with weeds. Doug and Jess worked hard all day with special equipment to remove crabgrass, loosen soil and put down special seed mixture. Turned from brown to green in 1 week (picture shows after 1 1/2 weeks), all of the neighbors have admired the miracle! Shrubs and plants were beautifully trimmed and arranged, mulching was perfect. Dave gathered very detailed information for proposal, which ensured good communication all around. They may not be inexpensive, but they deliver top quality work. You wont be disappointed.

They have no disregard or the people that live in the communities they take care of they haul ass threw speeding by houses with kids and could care less! we have yelled at them multiple times!

The crew was very professional, courteous, and meticulous with their work. Giving a thorough analysis of this company is difficult as I terminated my service with them at 2.5 months duration on the contract. I am giving them one star for how polite and courteous their staff are, Amy in particular, was kind enough to review all the charges on my account and explain the logic behind their very complex billing structure. I will also give 1 star to the staff that have presented to my home to review the job at hand and give insight into what is going on with my property. Unfortunately, I cannot give more than three stars as I strongly disagree with the contract structure. It is very convoluted in its delivery. Thankfully Amy explained everything to me, but unfortunately that was after termination of the service. R&S is not an affordable company, but they are thorough. You will find everything from lab tests to monthly examinations of your lawn. It basically precipitates to what you are willing to spend on lawn care. If you have a very disposable income or dont mind $600 a month with additional fees for mulching and seeding (several grand depending on your size of lawn), then R&S is a good fit, especially if you are one of those thorough people with particular requirements to lawn care. My current experience is that other companies provide a similar level of service for a more affordable price. I have to disagree with the other posts on here with regard to customer service. I have found the customer service to be very good. Ive never had difficulty reaching people to discuss my account. I hope this proves to be a fair, useful, and thorough review.

Rob and his R&S team have done a great job on every project, large or small, they ve delivered for us. The sturdy retaining wall they built in 2014 easily withstood the impact of two massive trees that fell in our yard this summer. They repeatedly replaced a shrub they d planted that didn t take properly, at no additional cost to us. Their spring and fall cleanups are very good and the staff is friendly and considerate. We are very happy with R&S.

This company was the worst and you should not give them your business. We hired them for snow removal during the winter. The job they did was less than satisfactory. They attempted to charge us for work they didnt do. During the major snow storm at the end of march they did not come to remove til late at night. When they did come, they did a poor job at plowing the driveway and the steps to the front door. They didnt even touch the sidewalk next to the road. We had to tell them to come back and fix the job. The did but still didnt do The sidewalk. After waiting a full day and finally receiving a complaint, my father and I went out and did it ourselves. The company then had the gall to charge us for the whole job, saying they came back and did everything, which they did not. After demanding they rectify the situation and waiting for a reply, we got none. We promptly terminated their employment by us and will never use them again. I implore anyone looking for a landscaping company to avoid them at all costs.

Highly disappointed with the service of this company. I hired them last summer for lawn and maintenance care. The spring clean up was excellent and the service was very good up until the middle of the summer. My package included aerating and grass seed. However, they aerated in August, destroying half my lawn. They came back 6 weeks later to reseed, after I was in constant contact with Sam about how they were going to rectify the situation. They reseeded and when I asked how I would be compensated for this disaster it was a lousy $100. I was also told they stand by their work and if it did not grow back they would fix it in the spring. I have sent emails and no response. But they were quick to call and email multiple times asking me to renew my maintenance proposal for this year. I responded to the emails that I was not satisfied with last years service and no one ever responded why. Poor customer service.

After 8 years of doing business with R&S Landscaping, I highly recommend them as a highly reputable company that also gives back to the community and its youth.

It is a wonder how this company got such great Google reviews (probably because they are fake reviews - just look at the similar writing patterns and cliché names). If you want real reviews for this company, go to Yelp. They damaged my property, completely ignored my complaints and still have the audacity to bill me for their service.

Came to turn on the sprinkler system, but was not prepared to complete the job. Finally, after waiting 3 weeks for my next appointment to make the repairs and having to take the day off from work, the day finally arrived and they were a no show. Im extremely disappointed in R&S Landcaping and would not recommend them nor ever use them again.

We have used R&S now on two separate houses. When we moved into our new home, R&S did our landscaping, following a competitive bidding process, including installing the sprinklers and lighting. They worked with us to design our yard resulting in year round color, privacy coverage, and an area that our kids can use. The installation occurred during a heat wave during the summer of 2013 and as we had new plants fail, although not many, they replaced these without request as well as changing our design as the plants matured. We have used R&S for maintenance as well as landscaping. They have been very responsive to our requests and needs with the quality of their work and our satisfaction remaining very high.

We made the switch to R&S about a year ago after being unhappy with our last landscaping company. I was looking for a company who was responsive to requests, timely with their follow-through, and provided quality service. R&S has proved to be all of the above, and more. Their office staff are particularly knowledgable and so easy to communicate with and someone always picks up the phone (thats a win in my book). From weekly maintenance to bigger projects (they did all of our landscape lighting installation, planting of large trees for privacy, etc), to getting our property ready for a party, R&S has been consistently professional and a pleasure to work with. Its refreshing to work with a company so willing to personalize their services to your needs.

They are trying to sue me for work they never did, I never wanted and never agreed to. Do not hire them! Come to Bergen County Court on September 14, 2015 and witness the lies. Our entire experience with Rob and the team at R&S Landscaping was great. From the first visit, Rob was very helpful, explaining everything very clearly and guiding our choices along the way. The quote was provided promptly and the work was completed on time and exactly as described in the quote. We had a 5-zone irrigation system installed, a large lawn seeded, and decorative trees, shrubs, and plants installed. It makes a huge difference in the way our home looks and we will definitely do more business with R&S Landscaping.

Ive been an R&S customer for more than five years now. I am very happy with the service. They do my lawn, my sprinklers, my shrubs, my winter plowing, my summer annual flowers, and my landscape lighting. Ive been very pleased with the quality of the work and the detail that is given to my requests. Ive even given them work to do that is not strictly garden type work. When we have needed fence maintenance, for example, Ive asked them to do the work. In short, using R&S Landscaping is like having a General Contractor for the outside of my house. I especially like the ability to get a quotation and proposal and then discuss/modify as needed before the work is done. Are they perfect? No. Are they really good? Yes. Would I hire them again? Yes, and I wish I had earlier than I did.
