Lawn Masters of NY, LLC in Middletown

I have thought long and hard on what type of review to leave here about LawnMasters of Middletown NY. I had contacted them in the spring for hydroseeding my front and back lawn. The salesperson who came out was extremely knowledgeable, and after discussing my yard and patio we agreed to have my patio pavers washed, regrouted and sealed in addition to laying down topsoil and hydroseeding my lawn. They required a 30% deposit which I felt was a tad steep but was assured by the office staff they would start the work in approximately one week. I made the payment on 3/28. Paying such a large deposit was my first big mistake. Did they show as expected? Of course not. Call, Call, Call …... vague updates on when to expect the work to be done. Frustrating to say the least. They Finally show up on April 26th, lay topsoil on the front and backyard and start the patio. This is where my review gets complicated. The work on the patio is fantastic – I couldn’t be happier. They cleaned it, regrouted and came back about 5 days later to seal it. The patio reseal is most likely the best sealing and re-sanding job my patio has seen. Well worth it, it almost looked brand new. However, I was still waiting on my lawn to be seeded; Again call, call, call with no real answer to when I could expect the seeding to be done. Had some heavy rains which washed away a good portion of the topsoil, and weeds started to sprout in the new dirt. Brian the owner finally shows on May 14th to hydroseed over the existing weeds. Not only did the lawn get seeded, but my house, my windows and my shed were hit. Would have been nice for him to tell me before leaving. On a side note, it was the same exact day O&R laid seed in the neighborhood after needed roadwork. When Brian completed the hydroseeding I was told to water twice a day (for which I installed an irrigation system to do exactly that), and I should have a lawn in approximately two weeks. This is where I made my second fatal mistake – I paid them in full. Two weeks go by, no lawn; Nothing at all except weeds of course – all the neighbor’s lawns where O & R seeded? Lush new green lawns and they didn’t even water! I call, call, call – I’m told wait, wait – it’s going to come. Finally, I got a foreman to come out and look at the lawn. I’m told by the foreman he doesn’t understand, other lawns have grown. I show him the O&R lawns that were seeded the same day as mine. He tells me the seed O & R uses is “flawed and meant to grow quickly” – it will die by next year. He throws seed down over the weeds and leaves. I could have done that. Do I hear from them again? Heck no! Does he check up on the lawn like he said he would? Sadly, no. I now have grass consisting of largely weeds with a speckling of lawn. If I wanted weeds, I could have just taken them from my neighbor’s lawn. I’m tired of calling, recognizing that any type of customer service or customer satisfaction is completely absent in this company. I’m just going to chalk it up to a lesson learned. It is by far the worst job I have ever seen. To call themselves LawnMasters is a joke, and my advice to anyone who uses them, at least for any lawn installations, should do so with extreme caution.

Lawn masters did a beautiful job with my backyard patio hardscape and front landscaping it’s been about a year and it’s all holding up perfectly. They’re extremely pleasant and fairly priced. We’re very pleased and will use them for any future projects!

Brian, Kelly & their team did an outstanding job. I needed some fresh landscaping done and they took care of it from start to finish. The job stayed under budget and Everything looks beautiful. Thank you!!

These people were extremely rude from the very beginning and did very poor quality work on my lawn, complete waste of money

LM did a great job maintaining my property, I would recommend their services to anyone for lawncare.

Rip off company charged me more than the initial quote and there guys just sat around most of the day. do not reccomend
