We are just in year 2 of using TruGreen and couldn t be happier with the results! Seriously, not a single dandelion, patch of clover, or anything other than glorious green grass! I was actually home today while Dhiren applied a treatment and was impressed how thorough his application was. Not a blade of grass was missed!

I dont think they do a good job following pesticide drift rules. They seem way too rushed to spray and be done to show much care about where it goes; particularly their tree and shrub spraying. I feel like I have to be standing out there to prevent them from hosing down the food garden and kids playset.

I have been using TruGreen to manage my lawns health for many years. Those who come out to service my lawn are always professional, courteous and very knowledgeable about the products that are being applied.

They aerated and seeded my lawn after a week of rain and destroyed my lawn. Some grass remains but about 1/4 of the lawn is now.just mud.j. when I complained they sent someone with a.can of grass-seed that didnt take. They repeatedly failed to treat crabgrass and yellow Nut Sedge which inevitably treated myself. Ive instructed them to lower the Nitrogen in their fertilizer treatments. As.per the AKC excessive Nitrogen leads to burns from dog urination. They again failed to follow instructions. The local office does not return calls and the only recourse is to call their 800#. It works for changing schedules but not for resolving issues. I have canceled them and would recommend staying clear of.their service. Poorly trained staff, poor communication, unresponsive to complaints. Its going to cost over $1000 to repair the damage theyve done

Called to cancel all my upcoming services (5 year client) due to yard scaping project that will involve new grass in 50% of yard. I asked if upcoming services were prepaid and female said no. I pressed the question and than she says, Im not sure, its my first day. Yes, you deserve one star

Our first treatment is complete and we are satisfied. Ingram, our specialist spoke to me and told me what service he will be providing. He then did the treatment.

Douglas answered my questions! I watched him treating my lawn. I had a big concern about unwanted weeds and he stated now onwards every treatment will have weed control included! This is my first year using True Green Service! I am very happy so far!

This is my first time using this service. The person I initially spoke to and the one who came today for the lawn treatment are both very informative and polite.

After he finished I heard a leaf blower and I looked out and he blew our sidewalk clean because we had mulch spread yesterday and some was on the walk. They killed my lawn. Complained to BBB and filed with PA Attorney General. Instead of sending a supervisor while I was home as I was promised from the corporate number, they refunded what I had paid and said they had decided to part ways with me. Thats fine, but that doesnt cover the cost of replanting about 50% of my yard. They claim it was lack of watering, but most of it died 24 - 48 hrs. after they left. Im watering every day and more is still dying every day.

Jadontay was extremely friendly, and was very enthusiastic that we were new customers. He also was very good at explaining what he was doing, and was patient enough to walk around the yard with me so I could show him where our property ends. Great service!

We have used TruGreen for several years now. In May when they arrived to do our treatment. My husband asked if it would burn our lawn because we were in a drought. The attendant said no. Wrong! Our lawn was burnt worse than any of our neighbors. We pay for lawn service for our lawn to look better. Not worse than our neighbors. This time when they showed up we told them no. We even called the Harrisburg office and canceled. 3 hours later the attendant shows up. I went to his car and kindly told him we had already canceled. Then to make things worse, we received notice this morning that they were coming. We will look for another lawn care service who actually listens to us.

First time James was at my property. He was very courteous and professional.

Just watched their worker drag a dirt-covered hose across the front of my 2-week old car to get a hard to reach part of the lawn instead of moving their truck. This happened at work, so once I got a chance to check their worker had left, but found the damage.

Horrible. Trying to get a local manager on the phone is impossible. Too big of a company. I called several times trying to get assistance and at one point I believe I spoke to someone in the Bahamas. This is my last year with them. The issue was a pretty simple one that they made more complicated than needed. At one point a tech came to my house to talk to me about my issue. I was not home and he apparently felt the need to put one of the yard signs on my lawn indicating the lawn was fertilized. No fertilizer just the stupid sign.

Its a company that address your problems with solutions and action. Just call and ask.......

Sometimes it takes a season for a lawn care professional to determine exactly what treatments are going to realize the best weed eradication, fertilize for peak growth and reverse any poor judgement calls made by a prior landscaper. TruGreen did not give up on my goals for establishing my new yard. Feeling grateful and thankful!

The services provided are good. I paid for my entire lawn to be treated, but often they only treat my front. I have a fence, but I leave the gate open. I have been using TruGreen for 2 years now.

Only care that ur upset after u cancel your service.

Avoid at all costs. I could write a novel about how many times Trugreen wronged me, but Ill try to keep it short. Trugreens employees - all the way from their sales reps to their technicians to their customer service - lied to me time and time again about the type of services they would be providing me. You need to realize that any time you speak to a Trugreen employee, their only goal is to get you to shut up and end the call as soon as possible. They do not care. The company is too large and bureaucratic to worry about any one customers issues. Since its impossible to get a hold of the local branch (the number just gets forwarded to a call center), there is absolutely no way to get in contact directly with the people who service your home. I was promised countless times by reps in other states that my local branch would contact me. They never did. Again, they dont care. They will tell you ANYTHING to get you to sign up and pay them. Once youve paid them, they will tell you ANYTHING to get you to leave them alone. Oh, and their technicians will steal from your property. This is why people stick with local businesses. Lesson learned on my end.

Contacted TruGreen for service. They have a local office and phone number but it is answered by a national call center. It is not possible to contact the local office directly, You must go the call center and hope to get a call back if you have an issue. That does not work for me! I much prefer to do business with a local business.

Have been a customer for 5+ years and never had a problem until this year. They have yet to service our yard but had no problem immediately charging our credit card. Good luck trying to get someone with authority on the phone. They have rescheduled us 7 times in 3 weeks, only to do it again today. They wont take ownership of their service issues and keep saying that someone will be in touch. 3 weeks and still no calls or yard service completed. Time for a BBB referral!

For some reason the first treatment of 6 was not performed until last week, this is much later than usual. I already pre-paid for 6 treatments.

For the third time this year, my service provider went to the wrong house - same house number but wrong street. The first and second times I caught him before the application of weed and pest control. This time he was earlier than I expected and I did not see him at the wrong house. When I called to report the problem, my call went to some one in Florida, not Middletown. Im sure it is a GPS problem or a borough problem because there are few street signs in our small town.

First service was scheduled for 6/28/22 The serviceman arrived at 1:20 and was gone by 1:30. My girlfriend was home at the time the individual did not introduce himself or give a general timeline of what he was doing or what was done. The backyard was untouched weeds everywhere. Not sure what actual service was done. I was supposed to only pay 45 for the initial service and somehow they performed 2 different services in less than 10 minutes missing the sides as well. In the paperwork he states I received two services during that time frame in addition to him completing the 7200 square foot house. He never serviced the side of the house or backyard and just did the front yard. I had no idea what was done I don t think he did anything and just rushed through the job. Not customer Oriented

Terrible experience. The company does not care. A month ago, TrueGreen was supposed to treat our lawn. Instead, it went to our neighbors lawn and treated it instead of our lawn. Additionally, we have a bee problem at the side of our house. My husband called and asked for someone to address the bee problem and to only spray the grass. My husband specifically asked for TrueGreen not to spray the fruit trees. TrueGreen came to our back yard and sprayed at least one of our fruit trees. Still have the bee problem.

Aeration appointment was conducted last week. Is the entire yard supposed to be aerated or just a portion? Both of my side yards was completely missed? Also, appears the machine was moving very quickly because every time it turned the grass and soil were torn up and ripped up (about 8 to 10 patched of dead grass know). Also, assuming since large portions of my yard were not aerated, these parts were not overseeded.

I signed up for the weed control, 6 treatments for the year. I declined all the additional things they were trying to sell me. THAT HASNT STOPPED THEM FROM TRYING! First it was mosquito control. I dont have a problem with mosquitos. 2nd was the tree and shrub control. Thats what really set me off. I dont have trees or shrubs on my property. They keep saying they notice my area has issues with that. They clearly dont know anything about my property because they would see I dont have damage, because I dont have trees or shrubs! Ive told them MULTIPLE times and they keep continuing to text me from different numbers so I cant even block the number. The last time they came they didnt even spray because they said landscaping services were being performed at the time, which isnt true. There were construction trucks in front of my house, but they still could have sprayed my front yard. Look at these texts Ive gotten.

Jonathan stopped after treating our lawn and discussed several problems that we are having. He is young, and was very professional. He listened to my questions, walked over the yard and showed me the problem areas. He is very patient and professional, as well as friendly!

TruGreen completed two weed control treatments and they burned my grass. The sad part was that i prepayed for the full year. They declined to reimbursed my full refund. I made multiples calls and got no where, they will always give excuses and lies. Please save your money wisely. Be careful that you dont go through the same experience. Good luck

I didnt request TruGreen...

I have used this service before and I have always received good results. This year I decided to use them again and it has been a disaster. On the fourth time that they came out to do weed control and fertilizer on our lawn, I told the person that we still have large patches of clover, weeds and nutgrass. Two days later, we have a large area of grass that was burnt and they have yet to rectify the problem. Someone came out for a free service, but left a note that said he didnt do the service, but noticed that we have a problem with large areas of brown in our grass! He didnt even know what he was there for! We keep getting a runaround from customer service and our lawn still has not been fixed. For a company whose advertisement is all about making your lawn green, maybe they should live up to that mantra.

I had prepaid for 6 treatments. TruGreen completed the first 4 treatments thru July. They usually come every 5-6 weeks. They were scheduled to come in August for treatment 5 then cancelled, but I was never informed. I never saw them thru September. Finally after I had to reach out to them several times they came (after talking to several people on the phone who couldn t give me straight answers) for treatment 5. It is now November and we have already had frost and we have not had treatment 6 so I cancelled last treatment. I am giving 2 stars because they did refund some money, but they have been very unreliable, unpredictable and unprofessional.

These guys blow away the competition. Many compliments on my lawn from neighbors walking by. I couldnt be more pleased with the service and results.

Wow! Literally just caught an employee here on our property that we own, spraying weed killer on our front lawn when we NEVER booked any services with this company, let alone ever contacted this company. Apparently he was scheduled at another home on our street, which he took care of, and was then supposed to do work at an address similar to our address, but our house was not the right place. Not happy! Maybe employees need to call customers when they arrive on the job site in order to be sure they are at the right place. We better not get billed for anything we never asked for!!!

Failed to perform services.

Tech came to the house but I had left for work, but he was more than reasonable to talk to me through my video doorbell. He explained what he was going to do, answered some questions I had, and gave me some suggestions. It was my first experience with TruGreen and I am happy I made the decision. Hopefully my yard starts to get better too!

The older tect name gordon was great and honest

I tried true green $30 special to kill my broad leaf and dandelions. They did nothing I basically gave them $30 for no service. I cancelled the service and told let them this and they said that they can do nothing for me. The company does not stand behind their service. Beware. They do not deserve one star. I have all the weeds I had before they came.

Had me pre-pay for services and then they last-minute cancelled the first two appointments they scheduled. When I called to cancel my service and get a refund I was told their systems were down and they couldnt process any refunds.

I was promised a yard repair and nothing has been done!

Well, we started using them a few months ago in spring. Lawn looked great and green. By August my lawn was dead. My crab grass alive and well, though. Also, I had a bad reaction to their treatments including sore throat and head ache. I called to cancel. So just beware.

I am in shock that the gentleman who came this morning did about 1/3 of my property and then left. Not going to use this service again. I was home- but I wonder what he;s been doing when I am not? Unbelievable. Have I been paying for NOTHING all year?

Worst service I ve ever had. After six months my lawn was torn up, I was overcharged for services not received and a lack of communication from the company made the whole ordeal even more frustrating. I would not recommend this service to anybody. I would recommend a competitor or doing it yourself.

They dont seem to have any awareness about pesticide drift. Spray it and who cares where it goes. Caught them drifting ornamental tree/shrub insecticide into a food garden on multiple occasions. Caught them spraying liquid products on the lawn during torrential rainstorms. In my opinion, they are a liability if you have neighbors who care about this.

This was my first year lawn care. I am not happy at all. First reason is your help desk is completely on a different understanding than the person who comes for lawn care. My lawn weed condition actually deteriorated after giving it to true green and i couldnt get a supervisor to review the lawn. One time they sent a guy to spread weed control the day after they did areation/overseading on my lawn. Luckily i was present and stopped them else it would have killed all the seeds. Not that there was any improvement because of that. There was no improvement at all in the grass density. Weeds have actually increased by atleast 60%.

Never again. Killed my back yard. Wish I could post pictures. They tried to repair the damage (after I made multiple calls over multiple weeks) 2 months after damaged was done. I liked the excuse from my local rep best. Said he never got text with pics, which wasnt true, then said he just must have missed it because he was having car issues (really, for 3 weeks) . This was after a previous text with pictures I sent where he stated he would take care of it and that his reputation was on the line. Well, that line must have broke. Do yourself a favor, go with a locally owned company where you are their customer, not just the next person on their list.

Good price for the service...apprehensive in the past due to prior high-pressure sales tactics used by the company overall. However, got a good deal and the results have been excellent this time around.

This was my first year entrusting TruGreen with my lawn and I can honestly say it was money well spent. I was a little skeptical based on many other negative reviews but the individuals that I ve had out have done wonders for my yard. Last season my yard was being overrun with crabgrass and clover so I made the decision to give this a try and this year there isn t a single weed in my yard. It def still takes some effort on your part as far as maintenance goes but I couldn t ask for better results. Hopefully I didn t jinx myself but I plan to continue using their services if this was any indication of what to expect.

Wish I could give 0 stars... They will lie to you and tell you what you want to hear to get set up. Then they cannot follow through with their service as promised. Believe it was their sales manager Joe that had promised to be out here today, I call in to find out when my service is to take place since I havent heard anything. Find out there is no way for it to happen today and their customer service rep has no clue why he would promise anything because he cannot schedule service.... wasted time I will not get back Try a different company not built on deceit before you attempt anything with this one.

Overall, this company has resulted in utter disappointment. My grandfather used them for years. I was very excited because his lawn had seen better days, and I hoped TruGreen would be the answer. After the first few treatments I actually noticed the lawn looking worse. Seeing burn spots throughout the lawn that were NEVER there before. I decided very quickly after this, I needed to figure out what happened. The company continued to tell me that the burn spot came from their chemical spray, and that they would fix it with the next treatment, obviously not soon enough. After trying to get someone out to fix this issue for me, I could only reach a telephone line from some godforsaken place. They clearly had no knowledge of my property, and didn t seem to care much about my issues at all. After doing further research towards this company, I realized that I am not alone in this case. Also realizing that there are safer options as to which I would feel much safer with having the children in my family play upon. I will be sure to be more careful when picking a lawn care service next time. I hope there s one out there that can efficiently care to my lawn, as well as offer much better customer service.

Never showed up

Not only does my yard look worse that those who do nothing to their yard...it is frankly ruined. Worse yet, they just dont care. Manager was supposed to come and evaluate. No show...for two weeks. Trying to give them an opportunity to make it right, they just dont respond.

We prepaid a month ago to have our property serviced for ticks as we have 3 young children. We are still waiting for service and have had zero communication from TruGreen. Im hoping we dont all come down with Lyme disease by the time TruGreen gets around to applying the product we paid for a month ago. Be careful if your expectations are promt, professional service. You may not get it here.

Been waiting 3 weeks for them to look at my shrubs issues! Call three times.

Signed up and paid for a year of service. Had first treatment end of March. Spotty application. Next service was supposed to be 4 -6 weeks. Nine weeks later and 2 phone calls to customer service and still have not had second service. Got fed up and cancelled service. Supposed to get a refund for unused prepaid. Lousy service and lousy customer service.

They have been here 5 times and every time They say I noticed you have weeds in your lawn today. I would think after 5 times there should not be any weeds.

I just had service yesterday. I didnt know they were coming. I have some issues with weeds and time will tell if they are taken care of. Overall I think my lawn has looked pretty good this year. I have had several occasions to speak with my specialist and he has constantly strive to make my lawn as nice as possible.

TruGreen service has made a big difference in our lawn appearance and enjoyment. Weeds have been eradicated and crab grass is gone. Very few broad leaf weeds are noticeable and have been recently treated. Lawn care specialist is very professional and advises what services are provided during each visit.
