This company is a rip off. Completely tried to scam our family, and then when we refused service because of their outrageous price quote, they charged our credit card anyway. We called to report them and the owner refused to come to the phone. His secretary or wife, or whoever answered the phone, put us on hold, and then said he doesn't want to talk to us. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT TRUST THEM.
TJ and the crew did an amazing job and helped turn my backyard into another room of my house. The staff was extremely professional and showed up on time every day. I highly recommend!
If you want solutions go elsewhere. The first thing the crew did was damage an asphalt lane shared by six homeowners. [Didn’t inform any of us it happened.] The next day the crew was walking through an angry neighbor’s yard and the neighbor called the police. The crew didn’t inform the proprietor, or the proprietor didn’t consider this important enough to intervene. The police told the crew the trespassing was silly, but they had to move the equipment parked illegally on the road. They loaded the machines and left. [All significant digging stopped at 9:30am, yet billed as a day’s machine work] When my wife informed me of the problems going on I immediately called Tom. He said he wasn’t available until noon. I had to leave work to meet him. Tom acknowledged his crew had damaged the lane. He said they would do a repair. I reiterated “I can’t push mow this, I am 62. I am paying you to remove this hump.” Earlier in the day my wife had told the crew we wanted more material removed to match the elevation next door. I went back to work. When I got home there was new sod on the hump. The next day I got an e-mail saying the job was complete and an invoice. When I originally called him to bid the job I told him three things. “I have to mow my yard in cleats.” “Match the neighbor’s grade.” and “Put a retaining wall three feet from my sidewalk because there will be a drop” I mistakenly assumed he would hear and understand his customer [or ask questions to clarify] Duneland's terms are 30% down and 50% at the start of the job. I complied and had no leverage. With 80% in their pocket, I got a string of excuses. Never once did anyone propose solution to my situation. I did however get lots of “you didn’t say that.” Even receptionist/bookkeeper told me I was lying. Called to harass me for withholding payment. When I told her “Tom told me he would fix the damaged drive on Tuesday” She replied “That is not possible, he was out of town!” WOW. Really! He was standing in front of me 10 days prior. She thought three days prior. [Customers are fair game to everyone at Duneland!, don’t need courtesy] It took Duneland two weeks to attempt a repair on the lane they had damaged. Then only after I stopped final payment. In the meantime, no less than three neighbors asked me what I was going to do about the damage. [Duneland’s mistake, my shame] More tidbits. He declares he is experienced, yet didn’t remind us to call 811 before you dig. And never said they did. If they damaged anything without a dig authorization the homeowner is responsible. [No skin off him, why would he care.] I believe best practice is paver base under the stone for a wall, yet his install has none. When you go to Duneland you will see a prosperous business. Nice building. Yard full of equipment. A receptionist. But then you will get “Owner on vacation, ” “Owner out of town,” “Owner unavailable.” Don’t get fooled like I was. Be sure anything you want IS IN WRITING and hope it goes better for you. I am out a lot of money and will have to go through this again with another contractor, oh joy!
T.J. came out and looked over my 2 tree 🌳 removal spots, he did the job in a reasonable time, start to finish. Great 👍 job. Glad I got the job done. They removed all the wood chips, bark, and sawdust. They put in fresh black dirt. Seed, straw, netting, and spikes. Am very pleased with the way they, were careful of my sprinkling system. And my lawn. Tim
Company was instrumental in the design and layout of a water feature in a butterfly garden for a community project. We appreciate the consulting services they provided. Garden feature turned out beautiful!
The owner Tom is one of the "GO TO GUYS" in the region! I highly recommend him for any of your home and landscaping needs. He was thourow, professional, and empathetic to my needs. Wouldn't think of using anybody else. Duneland gets the job done right the first time!
My organization has used Duneland Lanscape for many years and we have always been extremely happy with their work. They do both our mowing and plowing. Always on time and always done right. Highly recommended!!!
I have worked with Tom Frain and Duneland Landscape for over ten years and have had a very positive experience. They are timely, completed the work as planned, and at the agreed upon price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping, snow plowing, or lawn maintenance services.
This guy bought me meat sticks from Lange s! What a class act! Great work and great people!
Had our landscape redone today. They were very efficient and great to work with, Id recommend to anyone that needs the service!
We switched to Duneland after our previous supply became unreliable. We have been very happy and plan to use them going forward.
Landscaping looks awesome previous comment about rocks changed to mulch no barrier Should also read you need to ask if it s important to you I did and problem remedied without an issue The rocks through any landscaper significantly higher so I m sure it was to your advantage Shopped 6 other landscapers and glad I did my research they are effecient, call back right away, work to resolve concerns, do everything as promised when promised and incredibly timely The team did a great job Gave the most plants for the money and all plants nice size couldn t be happier Thank you
Fair and honest
They do a fantastic job! LOVE them.
They changed things on our new-build landscaping without informing me or getting my approval, and went ahead on the installation. Rocks became mulch, and weed barrier was omitted. They did not prepare the ground; so our 4-year old hydrangeas look like theyre 1-year old, stalled at 1-foot diameter of growth. For all this, the price was too high.
Tom at Duneland landscape has done a wonderful job in mowing, set stone for wall, gravel supply, putting in a yard, creating drainage and many other things. I heartily recommend Duneland for your landscape needs.
