Michael, the Ryan pruning specialist, did an excellent pruning job. He is very knowledgeable and communicative about the work to be done. The result was beautiful. The shrubs and bushes were shaped and/or rounded at the appropriate height. Michael cleaned up all the trimmings leaving the area spotless. He is very efficient with his time on the total job. Quick and efficient service!

Ryan Lawn installed my irrigation system about two years ago. Though there have been several issues with certain parts of the system not working correctly, lately they have been very responsive to address those problems. Ryan Markway has gone above and beyond to address and fix these issues. I appreciate that they want their customers to be happy and to feel they ve been treated fairly by a good company.

Shortly prior to moving into my new home Ryan serviced the sprinkler system. A few days later I received an anxious call from my realtor advising me that water was gushing from the sprinkler valve down the street. I called Ryan to fix the leak. I subsequently moved in and hadn t realized until a few weeks later that my grass was browning in the summer sun. I called Ryan & was advised that they turned my system off and didn t fix the leak. They said they d emailed me about how they could resolve the leak. It turns out they didn t have my correct email address & didn t follow back up with me. They then came out to the house & resolved the plumbing issue stating something had broken. I called several times & asked why the broken item was not fixed upon servicing. No satisfactory reason was provided. I disputed the charges and was told that s how they do business. Having taken over a month to return my calls they charged me a late fee even though I disputed the bills. I advised I would pay the bill but that they lost a customer.

Great company! I had a large landscaping project and Ryan did a wonderful job all through the process. From bidding to scheduling to job completion to billing, they have been professional and courteous. They communicated extremely well and did everything they said they would. The job went even better than I expected - they even cleaned up beautifully. I will use Ryan again soon!

We have had great experiences with Ryan Lawn. They do our lawn treatments, mulching, irrigation and also some landscaping. Everyone is professional, great communication and always making sure we are happy.

1. Services have always been done on time and in many cases will call ahead to ensure the day they plan to come works for me. Courteous, professional, clean. 2. Also, I have a Japanese Maple Tree. They come out once a year and input in the ground around the tree something that has stopped Japanese beetles from infesting the tree. Has worked many years for me. You have to do it early enough so it has time to migrate from roots to the leaves so when the beetle tries to eat the leaves, it will die. The beetles may affect other plants, but not the Japanese Maple that has been treated.

Cant speak highly enough about their team. Had a large limb fall the day before my fiances bridal shower - their team came out to quote the morning I called and ultimately was able to remove it that same afternoon. Their team was very professional and would highly recommend to anyone.

Had scheduled two trees to be replaced. Received an email saying when it would be. That day came and went so I called the next day. They promised me they would be out the following day of my call. Unfortunately, that did not happen either. I called again and was told my ticket had been closed. No work done, no one called me regarding the delays. I will not try to use this company again.

Extremely disappointed in their customer service. Spent A LOT of money to do a retaining wall, rock beds, trees and shrubs. The wall was not the color we originally picked, but after we pointed it out they agreed they made a mistake and they brought the right color. The construction turned out nice so we were happy with it. The plants were a complete disappointment though. They were so small and some were not the varieties we picked. The trees were weirdly shaped as if the tops had died and they cut the top off and planted them. A tree and a rhododendron died (not our fault, they looked poorly when they planted them) and they did replace them both, but with replacements that were half the size of the original. They planted several liropi that died this year but we were so over Ryan we just replaced them ourselves. While replacing, we discovered that they were all planted on top of the ground, the roots weren t deep enough which is probably why they died. Aren t they supposed to be the experts here? Would not recommend Ryan Lawn and Tree for landscaping. We had such high hopes when they sold us on the plan, paid several thousand dollars and feel like we got ripped off.

I have an annual service agreement. It does not cover 1/3 of the expenses they charge annually. Billing is constantly overcharging, double charging, charging for work not approved or needed. I understand honest mistakes, but this seems to be the business model for this company.

We requested cancellation of a project which Ryan Lawn & Tree proceeded to complete three days later. Their billing department is now harassing us regarding payment for the services we cancelled. I recommend Arbor Masters, who have been both responsive and professional.

The most vital asset that Ryan Lawn & Garden has is its employees, who are personable, professional, and courteous.

Zach has done a fantastic job on what is probably a rather difficult lawn to service due to extreme grade. I won t name who I was using before Ryan s Lawn and Tree but let s just say the attention to detail and pride isn t even close. Highly recommend using them if you re looking for a great looking lawn and some pop on your curb appeal.

Ryans arborists team James and David squeezed us into their busy schedule to repair damage and prune an overgrown maple tree on our property that suffered limb loss in a recent storm. They were courteous, professional, explained their process, and cleaned up completely afterward. The result is a lovely tree thats healthy, aesthetically pleasing, good air flow and graceful form. Were grateful for their rapid response, with more storms coming. Ryans has done quite a bit of work on our property and weve always had nothing but praise for the communication, pricing, and labor, wed recommend them to anyone for any job large or small. They came, they sawed, they conquered. ;) Ryans pruned and shaped three badly overgrown Jane magnolias on our property, transformed them from huge messy shrubs to lovely, elegant tree forms. They squeezed us into their heavy schedule and did a fabulous job, and inexpensively. They were amazingly quick and cleaned up the area completely, were courteous and professional. Were very pleased and recommend Ryans tree service to anyone with a small or large problem. Theyd also, a few years ago, cleaned up and pruned two huge hedge trees on our back lot and created impressive beauty there where it had been a half-dead looking mess. Their excellent work totally rejuvenated our trees and improved our landscaping in an organic and wonderful way, left everything they worked on looking very healthy and aesthetically pleasing.

The Ryan Lawn & Tree landscaping division was awesome for us. Rebecca came out very soon after I reached out with the need and gave me really good options. She was also quick to change the plan when I wanted to. When it came to installation, James and Omar were so amazing and fun to work with and it s obvious they take pride in their work. They had me look at things several times through the installation to give my input about placement of the trees and plants and make sure that I was happy with everything. James even spent time explaining when to water everything and gave me a moisture meter to know I wasn t over or under watering. The final cleanup was also way more than I expected. I think The area was cleaner than before it even started! I would not hesitate to call them if you have some landscaping needs.

Didnt help me with my tree to cut my tree limbs over my house now they want to spray my yard for insects go bother someone else leave me alone

Double charged me for two people doing the same winterizing service within a weeks time and now have sent me to collections for the double charge as I refuse to pay. Couple that with them being insanely overpriced in the first place and I can t discourage hiring them any more than I do.

We have used Ryan Lawn since October 2018. At that time they had great customer service and they got our yard back to great shape (after firing Pro Turf). A couple of years ago they changed the person that sprayed our yard and things went down hill from there. The yard was looking horrible. We since reached out to them stating that we would not be using their services this year and all we received back was ok, we will cancel . Not we apologize, or how or what can we do to keep your business! Do better!

Well Im not a customer, the driver of big white truck with the red box on the back of it blasted through two red lights. These lights were red before the truck even came close to the intersection. On 45 highway headed towards parkville at approximately 9:35 today.

I called the number at the top of their website three separate times to get some extra information. But was left on hold each time for over 3 mins until I hung up. I just had a few extra questions their website didnt provide and thought it would be easier to call.

They charged us $300.00 for something we know they did not do, and argued with us when we called customer service regarding this charge. We have watched quality go down in the last two years.

Not so good this year. Came unannounced. It was a new person drove his tractor through wet terrain which left ruts. They charge my account automatically to my credit card without my permission I said I didn t renew for the year and they wouldn t renew for the year now that the year is started, they just assume they can come out here and run their tractor and ruin my yard and automatically charge my charge card. I had used it to pay in full every year. I never gave them permission to take money out of it willy-nilly.

They do great yard work but are impossible to contact. Never answer phone, long delays before answering emails.

I have cameras on the property. So I can see that they took the time to cover everything. With previous lawn care services, it seemed the goal was to do as little as possible as quickly as possible. The results were seen with the killing of the broadleaf weeds and greening of the good grass.

Let me start by saying that Ryan s started out with excellent service but that has drastically gone down hill in the last couple of years. Every season Ryan s has ALWAYS sent me an email in late March to let me know that they would be out to open my irrigation system in late April or early May. I had not yet received said email and had noticed several others that had theirs already going. I called today and was told that the earliest appointment that they had was June 7. This is totally unacceptable! This is horrible customer service. Current customers should have been notified that their scheduling process had changed and that it was now first come first served and that we had to initiate the process. I guess the economy doesn t concern Ryan s enough that they feel they must work to keep their current customers.

I m completely satisfied with the resolution I received from Ryan the sprinkler tech at Ryan lawn and tree today. I was rubbed the wrong way originally by an initial conversation that Ryan completely remedied. Ryan spent time diagnosing a loose connection on a valve and treated me with kindness and respect. I will continue to do business with them after this interaction. Great job representing your company, Ryan.

I recently had some billing issues with my sons account. Last week, I worked with a lady named Melissa. She helped me fix both issues I had. And also answered a few questions for my future treatment. Thank you Ryan Lawn and Tree!!!

What would you define as the Ryan difference? I personally feel the Ryan difference is the extreme lack of communication and lack of urgency in taking care of there customers. When the customer has to call multiple times to get a quote after the professionals have come to look at the property, this doesn t seem like you are valued. Not to mention having to wait a month just to get someone to come look at the project. This hasn t happened just one time but multiple times for me. The Ryan Difference is not want you think it is. With that being said I will say that when they do finally get you the quote they do fairly decent job.

BE CAREFUL this company!!! I paid my 82.00 fall application bill on 11/26 (confirmation number 4YJGM). I continued receiving bills for this, which I assumed were in error since I paid the bill. I got the most recent bill again last month. Frustrating right? So I reached out and was told I had to leave a message with accounting...it looks like they had a glitch in their system around the time I paid so the payment may not have been processed but that accounting would have to get back to me to confirm. Approximately 7 days later accounting FINALLY returned my call and confirmed the amount had not been processed due to an internal error. Yesterday I recevied a COLLECTIONS NOTICE for this bill! WHAT!!! ABSOLUTLEY APPALLING Ryan Lawn & Tree and Ryan Lawn & Tree. You lost my business, but clearly you dont care about your customers.

They did everything very efficiently and effectively

Very commutative. Very accommodating and they are quick and quiet about their services. We have a 2 year old who naps and my wife was very thrilled they didn t wake her up.

Disappointed. We asked them to come provide an estimate on some landscaping. A team member came out and we had a good discussion and he told me he would get me the quote within 48 hrs. It has been 3 weeks and still no estimate. I called them 3 days ago and they apologized and told me they would have the quote right over. Still haven t heard anything from them. Now it is getting hot and I worry we missed our window for what we needed done. We are so disappointed as we just tried this company as our last lawn company was also very poor service. Still looking for a reliable lawn and landscaping company.

Called made an appointment for lawn care. Week later get an email from a Manager states the fees. I say great go ahead. NOTHING HAPPENS. Then I get a vague basic cover email with the picture of the owner and him saying that he apologizes for the confusion, that we do not usually work like this, blah, blah, blah. At this point it has been over a month since my request and accepting the bid for service but NO SERVICE has been provided. Not sure how that got to this size of a company with the way they operate this business. If you hire them, good luck.

Weve used Ryan Lawn and tree for a decade, at least, and never had a problem with them. Late last year and this year it seems that they are having lots of issues. They took a month longer than usual to turn on our irrigation system and within 2 weeks of it being on we had a major leak that resulted in a geyser and us having to turn off the system completely. We called for them to to come out and they are understaffed and arent able to fix it for over 6 weeks. 6 weeks during the summer without the ability to water the yard that we also pay them to treat. I believe that they have expanded beyond their capabilities and staff and are not prioritizing retaining clients by being able to meet their needs, and instead only focusing on client growth. They have overpromised their abilities.

Was a customer for 3 years in Parkville. Occupied a new house in Lees Summit in November 2022 and signed up for series of annual weed & feed treatments to begin spring 2023. Come March called to make sure they were going to get 1st treatment on. Come March 31 nothing done. April 1 we called and cancelled service. ( first treatment needs to be done before weather gets too warm & that time had passed). That evening walking the neighborhood and saw Ryan flags had been placed in several yards down the street that day. I have been getting billed for Early spring treatment done March 31 ever since. Between my wife or myself have spoken to Ryan people at least 4 times, asking that $90 erroneous charge be removed. Have offered to go through exterior camera recordings to prove work was never done. Just keep getting billed. Sent an email yesterday, not holding my breath.

Pay attention to the address and property you are spraying.

Our sprinklers were malfunctioning, called Ryan, a guy came out and said it was fixed. But it wasn t fixed. The exact same issue was still occurring. So we call back, and another guy comes out and fixes it for real. That s fine, but they insist we pay them full cost (visit fee, service, and material) for each visit. They say but we fixed a different thing each time. Well Ok, but why didn t the first guy just fix both things? Or why charge us all fees for each visit? That comes across as greedy, maybe even a scam. We won t ever call them again

Lmao no. This place is no good. I had to call three times over two months to get mole service done and they did not take care of the moles. This is after last year where the moles did not go away. But they did give me my baby maple so thats cool. Anyway this place is no good, find another.

I had 2 things done...sprinklers winterized ($115) & 3rd bed weed spraying ($77.50). The bed spraying has improved a lot over the last couple of years & is worth to me. The winterization for the sprinklers is also a decent price...but each fall the techs find a couple sprinkler heads and or leaks which have been going on for some time. They inspect them in the spring & fix whatever isnt working right. So they say they will fix these problems in the spring. I like Ryan, I trust their techs, and although Ryan is on the high side in price, their people are very knowledgeable & very good at what they do. So I recommend them highly so long as you can afford them. Thanks guys for a good 2023!

We used Ryan Lawn and Tree to prune three crabapple trees in our back yard. I have no problem the work they did or the demeanor of the three gentlemen who performed the work. I enlisted Ryans services because they have a good reputation and I had no idea exactly what work needed to be done to my trees. My quote for pruning my trees was $320 and I gave that no thought until the three men came trimmed a few limbs, cleaned up and were gone in less than a half hour. To be clear, I am relying on the expertise of the men who performed the work and I have no issues with what they did but $320 seemed very expense for the work performed.

Ryan came out and removed a downed branch from our Ash tree. It had clipped the front of the house and bent the gutter. They took pictures of the tree branch before removal. These pics were key in reporting it to our insurance agency for compensation. They arrived when I was told they would be there and performed the service with the utmost professionalism. They came out a few weeks later and pruned the same tree. The crew was efficient and courteous and cleaned up the clippings so well, you would not have known they had even been there. Great service!

Japanese beetles were attacking our highly protected English/American elm tree. We sent a text in the morning and by early afternoon a Ryan Lawn specialist arrived to treat the tree. They also gave me advice on how to handle a different tree infected with these leaf/eating beetles. Very satisfied with promptness, knowledge and professionalism. Highly recommend

Bob, was extremely patient with me as he tried to explain to me the workings of my sprinkler system. It was 100 degrees in the shade and a horrible day to be outside, but Bob remained professional and positive throughout the irrigation inspection.

When I called Ryan Lawn Service I talked with Troy and asked if he could put weed control on the lawn. He was out the next day and was very courteous and professional. I have never seen anyone spray so completely before. He even took a portable sprayer and sprayed the cracks in the driveway and sidewalk and around the bushes. I was very satisfied with the job that was completed.

That sent us a sheet showing scheduled treatments with their prices. Then an email with the price for the rest if the year It was higher than what we calculated on the sheet with the treatments for the remainder of the year. I called and asked why? They then told me there was a treatment the sheet did not show included. That really turned me off. It felt like they just made one up so they could charge more since I was a new customer and they advertised a discount on the first treatment.

Have had continuous problem with crabgrass and other grasses that grow 4 or 5 times quicker than good grass. You would think they could see on application over 300 sq ft of this type of grass and do something about it. I finally called and told them. They came out and gave another treatment. 2 weeks later. No improvement. I called ten days later. Its been 10 days since the call. They still havent contacted me.July 2022

I have never had weeds until now. For this kind of money and now I have a lot of nut grass and other weeds, not sure what your treating for

Ryan installed mulch to my front and backyard flower beds. They did a wonderful job. They had to work around a lot of bushes, annual flowers and garden ornaments. It looked beautiful when they were done and they did a super job of cleaning up. I would highly recommend them!

Second spraying. Not sure If it was worth the program. The top of both the treated trees are eaten buy the Beatles. Many be you need a spray system to reach the top of the trees. Great irrigation service by Clint McClain. During spring turn-on service, he IDd the need to move a sprinkler head to avoid the support post for our new deck, and he recommended changing the heads on one zone to avoid wasting water and to get better coverage. To accommodate us, Ryan moved up his return visit by at least two weeks. Clint was very patient and professional when we told him he needed to reposition the head near the deck a second time to avoid mildew on the patio and new deck. The price for that work was very reasonable. It has always been a pleasure to work with him, as it has with every other Ryan professional this year. On 24 Aug 22, Dudley Grossman was our tech to reorient, adjust, or replace sprinkler heads. Scheduling (and rescheduling) him was very easy; the scheduler was personable and flexible. Dudley showed up on time and was exceptionally easy to work with. He was very professional but also cordial, courteous, and knowledgeable. He replaced only those heads that needed an update. His advice for each change/adjustment made sense and saved me a lot of money. The irrigation system now works better than it has in 20+ years. The benefits are definitely worth the cost.

The technicians are very proficient and diagnosed/repaired my irrigation system in an exceptional manner. I was impressed how cost conscious they are by avoiding unnecessary repairs and providing accurate estimates. They kept me well informed regarding scheduling, the status of work orders and arrival times. Their web customer portal provided a nice summary of work performed, an ability to schedule future services, and an easy way to make payments. Were going to have them take over our tree care as well as our irrigation systems from now on.

Mike showed up and had me describe our issues. He was VERY polite, professional, and just the nicest guy ever! He found 2 heads that were basically the wrong type for their location in our layout, and replaced them to give us much better coverage where the old ones were underperforming. He adjusted heads that our mowers had misdirected, and even moved a planter out of the way that was blocking coverage of one patch. I would gladly have Mike come out any time I need service. Excellent service! We have a large maple tree that had several huge dead limbs to be cut. The crew did a great job and cleaned up after the job, to include small branches and leaves in the street. Although the time from bid approval to scheduling took a while, it was worth the wait!! We love our maple tree and want it to stay healthy as long as possible.

The young men Ryan Lawn sent were very pleasant and worked very hard however, I did not receive the decorative rock, weed barrier or an irrigation inspection. The project manager did help reduce my bill but the total cost for the work was not worth the price I paid. I will not use Ryan Lawn again nor will I recommend them. I contacted Ryan Lawn & Tree on October 3 regarding concerns I had about the health of several trees in my backyard and a mole problem. The following morning, within 1 hour of each other, two representatives from Ryan Lawn came to my home. I was happily surprised how fast and responsive they were. Neither tried to sell me anything. Both diagnosis were good. The mole rep even put down some worm baits free of charge. Both reps took time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. We call Spire and their service man discovered there was a leak in the gas line running out to the garage and was able to fix the problem. Im not entirely satisfied with the grass reseeding. Despite constant watering, none of the grass germinated in the back yard and there are numerous bare spots in the front yard.

I was extremely pleased with the service of the irrigation installation, and also the call back that I had. Everyone was extremely professional, nice, and easy to work with. One small problem that I had was fixed immediately to my satisfaction and was even checked by a manager to make sure that everything was in working order.
