This team from the top down is amazing to work with. Would recommend to anyone looking to give their lawn some TLC in any area!

Mears canceled the snow removal contract we had with them on 12/30/24 for the 2024/2025 Winter season. They gave a 2 day notice that they wouldnt be honoring their contract that we signed with them. We have many elderly folks that live here and need the snow removal which why they live in a maintenance free community. I wont even get into the service they provide when mowing. Let me put it this way I would give them negative stars if I could. Buyer Beware with Mears! Please allow me to respond to your response, you never said in the email when you informed of us of you breaking the contract, that you help provide service until we were able to find a replacement in 2 days, I dont understand why you couldnt have given us 30 day notice or just not have offered a contract for this winter in the first place. That would have given us time to find a replacement. By not doing this I question your professionalism

Cheppe and Quinton did an amazing job landscaping my back yard. I have never seen two men work harder than they did. They did a great job and I enjoyed working with them.

We couldn t be happier with the overall service from Mears. They went above and beyond in all aspects. We worked directly with Jared to plan out our backyard project and he was extremely consultative and patient as we adjusted things before proceeding. Jared communicated with us the entire way and was very hands on throughout the install. Miguel and his team were fantastic and took their time to do everything right. They even handled things outside of the project (connecting the gutter to be more efficient, trimming trees, and cleaning up the entire area meticulously). They were kind and courteous along the way. Any future landscaping projects will be done by Mears without question!

I contracted with Mears to install a French drain and do some extensive vegetation cleanup around 2/3rds of my property. Both the service staff and the crew were great - Jennifer, Chad, and Will were incredibly helpful and responsive, and Edgar and Sadrac installed and cleaned up everything on time and within budget. They even took the time to shovel some extra dirt and screw in some additional piping I hadn t contracted them for but did so at no extra cost. Overall a very positive experience.

The company was easy to work with, attentive to my project, and Quinton and Cheppe did excellent work!

Not only do they have an easy to use online estimate and pricing tool, but they also have real personal customer support. Edgar and Sadrac worked fast and did quality work on our drainage project. But as great as all of those things were, the variable that elevated Mears above other companies I ve worked with was the personal and honest nature of their owner, Will. Not only did he give an honest quote by telling me the things I didn t actually need done, he also took an interest in me as a person. I did not feel like a mere (pun intended) customer to him. I felt like a neighbor who he cared about. I could not recommend this local family owned and operated company more. Give them a call today!

We recently had Mears Lawn and Landscape resurface a large portion of our backyard, hall in dirt to make the area level, and seed the lawn so we could make use of it. Really glad we found Mears Lawn & Landscape on google this year! I used them personally and my boss and his daughter does too. They are affordable and also do great work! Very experienced too and super friendly! Tarah always helps with any billing questions! Jay is always great in advising and giving bids and sharing his knowledge. We had a sprinkler which previous sprinkler company could not fix. They kept coming for 3 months straight wasting our time, charging us for their lack of competence and that they cant find a valve.... Mears Lawn & Landscape came and fixed immediately! We started using Mears this spring for the lawn and irrigation system program. Our lawn has never looked so good! A special shoutout to their irrigation system tech, Allen. At the start of the season during system turn on he came out and got logged into my system and knew exactly what to do to get optimum system performance given that my system is very old and the zones are not perfect. Then just this week he made some additional spray head changes and quickly fixed a leak that made the system coverage even better. Last but not least he cares about making the customer happy and he has.

Will and his crew did an amazing job on our yard. Gustavo and Armando worked so hard and tore out all the old and planted all the new in just 2 days and it looks amazing.

Mears has provided all of our lawn and landscaping needs for the past several years. Their staff delivers caring and professional service consistently. Jay met with us personally to plan lawn care and fertilization with consideration for our Westie and her very sensitive skin and paws. Joel and Jose replaced a tree in our landscaping plan earlier this month, and the tree they were replacing had a House Finch nest in it. They carefully transplanted the nest to the new tree and our family enjoyed watching the little babies being fed by their parents.The newly planted tree, the nest and the birds miraculously survived the last hail storm and the babies flew from the nest this last week.

I have been a customer with Mears for 3-4 years and enjoy the customer service and professionalism. Tarah and Allen have been a joy to work with and I know every time I call or email I will be on good hands. Allen does a great job of explaining how my irrigation works and has done everything from replacing my main panel to valves and just about every head. Great company and good people.

Miguel, Chad, and Shane really transformed our yard. They have been great to work with and listened to us all the way through the project, I would definitely recommend them for any landscape work that is needed.

Allen did a great job replacing irrigation shutoff valve. he went beyond to move leftover dirt to use as backfill against house and then found a leak when one zone had limited pressure.

Very disappointed in how my yard looks since Mears took over mowing, fertilizing and ground bug control. There is so much thatch in the yard that it looks brown. If I could upload a picture from my iphone, you could see what I mean. But Google gives me an error message when I do.

We just had Mears back to our house to do a hardscape project and a few other things including drainage and sod. Joel and Cheppe took care of our project and did a great job. As with the other people from Mears who have assisted us, they were really nice guys, exceptionally hard workers, and attentive to details. We are very pleased with the results.

We have completed a landscaping project with Mears and they have taken over our irrigation system. They have been absolutely fantastic! They completed everything on time and within budget and it looks great. We will now be using them for another landscaping project later this summer as well. When we charged the irrigation system this spring, we had a zone that would not fire. Anthony came out and went through the entire system, found the problem and solved it in short order. These guys are professional, efficient and easy with whom to work. Since their work is top quality, they stand behind the workmanship of their projects completely. Couldnt be happier with them!!

Miguel did an excellent job. It was about 95 out and he worked through it. I explained what I wanted and he did the trimming exactly as I discussed. He was the only one here and despite the weather he stuck with it and did a great job of cleaning up.

I am a current client and have always been impressed by the owners and their design team. They have made my lawn perfect (which half is completely shaded, the other full sun) and they put together such a great, low-maintenance landscape design when I had no idea what to do with it. They are ALWAYS busy and for good reason! But this weekend they really came through for me because I urgently needed new mulch laid down for a get-together I was hosting, and I didnt think theyd be able to squeeze me in, but they DID! And it looked beautiful, and they cleaned up every little space around the house, too, so it was perfect. I love them! Thanks to Shane and Kelvin and those guys for getting that done for me!

I discovered a sprinkler system leak somewhere along my newly installed (by Mears) french drain system. A Mears employee - Allen was tasked to find the leak on a very hot morning. The leak was not easy to find. Allen had to work very hard to locate and then repair the leak. After the work was done, Will Mears did not charge me for the repair. He said that his company always stands behind its work because he wants satisfied customers. I ran my system today and there are no leaks - thanks Allen!

Excellent work!!! Tarah was so good in communicating the costs and setting up our service and Miguel as well as the other two men did a phenomenal job. We had some weeding and clean up that needed done and then they laid mulch and it looks amazing! They were so kind also! Highly recommend!

Specifically, this week he identified a leak and when a different contractor was the cause of this leak and was being less than honest and rude Allen helped me discuss the issue with the other contractor and stood up for what was right and me in the process. We have used Mears for a variety of landscaping needs over the years, from routine hedge trimming, laying down sod, to putting a weed tarp and gravel under our deck to curtail the yearly cleanup needed there. They also winterize our lawnmower every year. Most recently, Miguel and Kaden replaced the mulch beds on the side and back of our house with river rock. Not only does it look immensely better, Im amazed that the two of them were able to get it done in just a few hours. I found their rates to be comparable to their peers, and the online billing is pretty convenient. Overall, highly recommended!

I suggest this company review driving records before hiring their employees. This morning I witnessed one of their company vehicles which was stopped at a red light, decide to go ahead and drive through the intersection into oncoming traffic. Almost caused a wreck had the other cars not stopped. I then caught up with this vehicle later and saw through the windshield that they were scrolling through their phone again not paying attention. Absolutely unacceptable and a horrible look for the company.

Just needed a company to mow the grass and pick up leaves in the front and back yards. They did an excellent job and were always responsive to any concerns i had. I full recommend Mears for your lawn maintenance needs,

Finally, a company that takes care of their customers! Adam the sales manager is friendly, knowledgeable, detailed and a creative thinker. He listened to my ideas and offered his to make my yard look good again. My main issues were water drainage and a lawn redo! I really appreciated how Adam walked me through the plan for my yard, walked me through the plan again before the work was done, checked on his team many times before and after the work was being completed and a final walk through afterwards. Best of all, the work was completed within my budget requirements.

We had some sod put down in the back yard where the grass had died. The didnt just lay the sod and done. The guys leveled the ground, removed rocks and put topsoil down so the new sod had something to grab on to. They did a very nice job. Now our yard doesnt look like a bunch of hillbillys live here. The crew was super nice, the supervisor explained in detail how to keep it alive. Thanks so much for a job well done.

Mears replaced an aging, 360 sq. ft. concrete patio with a paver patio that included three steps up to a sunroom door. It was a delightful experience to work through the details with Will Mear. His casual professional manor was backed-up with integrity and professional competence. The three members of the staff who worked on the project were friendly and good workers. As with any project, there were a number of details to be agreed upon. Protection of the GF line, encasement of a hose, addition of an electrical box, tiling of a door stoop and preserving some house shingles all required attention. Will proved to be an excellent listener and was worked with us to achieve goals for the patio. He was also provided very good advice to help us achieve the desired results. He never hesitated to teach us what had to be done and why it important to do certain things. I would use Mears Laen & Landscaping for another project without hesitation.

I ve asked this company to park somewhere else numerous times after watching several near misses because they park their trucks around a blind turn. This is dangerous and they also block parking spots. There literally is enough room for a small car to get by these trucks and people can t see to get around. I don t know why they think this is ok.

Had Mears install a French drain to fix poor drainage from the builder. Also had them correct the irrigation system that wasnt done well by the builder. While they were doing that, had them put in a flower bed. Great job and great to work with. No more drainage issues and the lawn looks great.

Our back yard terraces, originally built from rail road ties, rotted and collapsed a few months after we moved into our home. Will Mears came out to look, measure, give us options for rebuilding, and then sent us an estimate with choices. We selected our preferences, agreed to the terms, then was sent an invoice for the first half of job; the second half due upon completion. Followup was done by office staff to insure we were coordinated on dates and plan. Mr. Mears (and his crew that came to work two and a half days) were friendly, respectful, and very knowledgeable at all times. The crew did hard, heavy work during some of the hottest days of summer. They did an impressive job and their work ethic was certainly superior. The job was finished on time and they went above and beyond what we expected! We now have lovely, long-lasting terraces on both sides of our sidewalk built from landscaping blocks. There is also a drain beneath one of the walls to keep water from running back toward the walkout basement door. In addition, excess soil was moved to front yard where needed, which involved moving and replacing heavy stones. A thick layer of mulch was applied to specified areas. We are so exceedingly pleased, we have another appointment already set up to discuss front yard landscaping projects!

Will and his team did great work. Responsive, on time and great at problem solving a 20year old system. Alan the tech was very informative and educated me through how to use everything and best practices. Definitely recommend and will be using them in the future.

I use Mears for regular mowing and cleanup. This spring we had them revamp our backyard and add plants, move plants, remove overgrown plants/shrubs and add rock and mulch to the beds. Looks great and was done in only a couple of days. Plan on using them to update the front yard in the future.

Mears provides great lawn care! Their mowing service is very good and they show up like clockwork. This is the first year for Mears weed control and fertilizer program, but anticipate good results based on friends lawns. Mears landscape team took out old retaining walls and installed beautiful new ones. They are very professional and I can highly recommend them.

Be warned- this company is unreliable. We scheduled an appointment for 10:00. I took time off work to meet them. They didn t show up or call. I called at 10:15 and they said it would be 30 minutes. I called again at 11:00 and they said he d be here any minute. I finally called and cancelled at 11:30. Totally unprofessional and wasted time.

We are so incredibly pleased with our project done by Mears Lawn & Landscape. They came in and helped us fix an existing landscape job gone wrong. The job turned out better than I ever thought it could based on what we started with. Will asked great questions to help us get to the goal of our original vision for the area and was creative with us in determining a solution regarding materials used and also working with the materials from our original project. The team of workers worked hard and efficiently and did the job exactly as planned. They were courteous and kind as well. In addition to our landscape project they also aerated and seeded our lawn as well as moved and fixed some sprinkler heads. They are extremely helpful with setting up the irrigation system to water as planned after the aeration and give you very specific guidelines to follow to see success in new growth. We are enjoying our new backyard area and are so glad we used Mears!!

Mears came out to address and fix our yard drainage issue we had from a previous companys mistake. They arrived to our property very quickly to fix our drainage problem. Tony did the work of hand digging a massive over 20 foot trench in our front yard. It seemed to take him only a few hours which as super fast and effective. After the rain weve had the past couple of days I can confirm all the work is perfect and our drainage issues have been resolved. I would highly recommend Mears for any and all landscape and irrigation work. Thanks Mears!

Mears Landscaping was a miracle worker! Their crew worked in our backyard to clear some invasive vines that had been growing for 20 years! They also trimmed and cleared other plants, weeds and leaves that should have been dealt with long ago! And they worked their magic in a day and a half! Mears also put down fresh soil, plastic sheeting and mulch for winter. They ll be back in the spring to landscape the area! My thanks to Will Mears and the crew for the great job.

We do not use Mears Lawn & Landscape for lawncare but their crews continue to park in front of our house walking through our yard & landscaping and I have attempted to speak to their management about it. Yesterday I watched an individual get out of their truck and walk through our landscaping where we just planted a dozen plus new flowers. The complete lack of respect and courtesy from their employees and management in addressing it is saddening. I hope they can correct this common behavior of their employees.

Through conversation we were told they do driveways. A week after they put the driveway in grass and weeds were coming up through the stone. I texted and called several times and got no response.I called from a different cell phone and he answered once he heard it was me he hung up on me. I am not a hard person to get along with all I was looking for was how to resolve this but no one would talk to me.

I became acquainted with Mears through the Verona Gardens HOA. They did good work for us and were very responsive to our needs, so I started using them for my personal lawn services. We moved and needed to re-landscape the yard, which Mears did as well. The owner, Will Mears, worked closely with me on plant selection and was personally involved in every step of the project. They also provide my irrigation service and are working with me to upgrade my current system. I have been extremely pleased with the responsiveness to my needs, their price points and the personal involvement with my projects.

We ve had great experiences with Mears on several landscaping projects. They were highly professional and knowledgeable in the design process; assessing our landscape and listening to our ideas, budget and concerns. They designed beautiful landscaping with a combination of plants, trees, rock, Outdoor lighting, etc. The installation process was very efficient and they did a great job of leaving the job far better than they found it! We will absolutely use Mears for more outdoor projects!

Will has studied plants, trees, esthetics, design and all other aspect of landscaping in the course of his business. My wife is also a designer and he spent well over an hour assessing our interests and how to improve on our concepts. When the quotes came in they proved you can always find cheaper. But Mears was a very fair value for what we knew was well thought-out. The crew showed how well they attack the work with experience. This is a good size company but Will and his wife running the office, keep it personal and caring.

I had a mess of a sump pump in my back yard, that there was not going to be a good solution for due to not having anywhere to run to water. After consulting multiple landscaping and sewer companies, I ended up going with Mears because he offered a realistic solution for a great price. He extended my sump pump line into a beautiful rock and plant covered drain field he designed and installed, so my yard is no longer a muddy mess. The team on installation day was on time and quick. While there was an initial clog or back up of sorts after the install (that drained out the additional overflow spout Mears installed for me), it ended up clearing itself out, and the pump seems to be working as intended now for months.

We have been so pleased with Mears Mowing, I cant say enough good things. We had never had a mowing/landscaping service before and decided maybe we wanted to try it. Tons of our neighbors use Mears so I gave them a call. They gave me and incredible price (I shopped around!) and they do excellent & efficient work! I also used them to do some landscaping in our yard--wow! Our yard looks great---many of our neighbors commented AND we loved how Mears was so willing to work with our landscaping budget---they made it happen and we are so glad we did it! Mears handled my mowing for years and did a great job . I ve recently had them do my mulching and a few landscape jobs . They work hard and do a solid job . Just would like quicker communication on jobs , but all in all a great company . Prices are very fair .

Mears installed new sod and leveled low spots in our yard. Some areas didnt survive and Mears came back to replace these areas with new sod at no extra cost.

There are many reasons to give Mears Lawn and Landscape a great review. Communication. Their communication has been by far better than other companies. They were very responsive to our requests. If there was an opportunity to make a change in the design they were available to advise on the change from a viability stand point and cost stand point. There understanding of our needs and provide accurate pricing and cost estimates accordingly. Quality. They provided a quality product to a drainage solution, as well as utilized material we had available when making landscaping features. Hardworking. The crew effeciently completed all task in a timely manner. Working from home allowed us to observe some of the work. Budget. We got estimating on a multi-phased project that provided $ est. for each phase as if they were separate projects (essential since we recognized overlapping work). Estimates were good and after one phase complete we are on budget. Very impressed with Mears and will be using them again. They are our go to landscaping company from now on.

We presented Will Mears with our vision for landscaping our back yard, and he turned it into a reality that surpassed our expectations. His creative vision, attention to detail, professional crew and knowledge of plants and trees resulted in a beautiful transformation of our yard. Besides creating beds and planting a variety of shrubs, plants and trees, they edged, mulched and added sod and decorative boulders. We contacted a few local landscaping companies to get ideas for an area in our backyard where we are unable to grow grass because of the shade of the trees. We also had a water issue near the same area that was washing away the dirt and rock. Will listened to the issue, what we were looking for and our parameters and gave us a common sense, reasonable approach and a beautiful design. His crew was on time and worked so hard! Will stopped by a couple of times to layout the plants and check to be sure everything was going well. We are so happy with the final product and are glad we went with Mears Lawn & Landscape. Do not use them! So I had them do fertilizer a couple of times and well for what you pay its not worth it. I watched the guy today fertilize my backyard and they was not much going on. My actual yard, not lot size, is almost 8500 square feet and I feel like the fertilizer being used was for a yard about a fourth of the size. You can not even seen it on the lawn. I can go to Grass Pad or even a hardware store and pay the same price, but when I am done you can see the lawn was fertilized. Then about six weeks ago now I called to get an estimate for verticut/aeration, seeding and fertilizer and they told me it would be the end of the week and I would have a quote. Nothing came, so after two weeks I called. They made it seem like I was a new customer and they would get to me. Again said end of week. Two more weeks go by and nothing. So I call again and they are like someone needs to look at the lawn to see what needs done, now I remind you they just were at my house and fertilized the week before I called 4 weeks ago. Why do you need to see the lawn again. Oh, by the way, the same day I called and was told they had to see lawn I called 2 other lawn companies about services and they showed up the next day to quote me. Brand new customer and did not have to wait. Anyways, they are comparable with any other lawn providers, but slow service, dont think what you pay for is worth it and not sure how they got this high rating. Today was last time I will use Mears. We have been clients of Mears for around 15 years, at this point. Initially, we used his mowing service, then added lawn maintenance and Ash borer control. After we bought a larger home, we remained Mears clients and added irrigation management to the services we rely on them for. When we installed retaining walls at the new house, our landscaping suffered significant damage. Will spent several days with us, helping with the landscape design to replace ALL of our landscaping and install a new irrigation layout to provide proper coverage. Mears handled all of the install, from new sod to walkways, shrubbery, trees, boulders and a water feature. Now, theyre installing a new patio and gas fire pit at the old house so we can prepare to list it. Will (and everyone @ Mears) has always been fantastic to work with. They are unique in the time they spend to ensure that they provide what you want and what makes sense going forward. Mears: Youll come for Wills YouTube videos, but youll stay for the great surroundings. (Im totally gonna trademark that.)

The owner of this company is simply a thoughtful honest man. HIs team installed a few trees and a patio last year. They did a wonderful job. On time, solid price, and an excellent product. And while that should be expected from anyone you spend money to have work done, its not always a give. What set him apart from everyone else was was this. He returned to the neighborhood later in the year and walked around my patio. He noticed that something was not settling correct and had his team redo the work....Without me saying a word. He just fixed the problem and that was it. No additional billing or long story about how he was sorry this happens. He just fixed it. This is the kind of person you want to hire. Im having him return this spring to make some additions to the patio and landscaping. I know Ill be happy.

I started out using Mears for mowing services, but in the last five years, they have become my full-service, go-to outdoor crew. They redid my entire front landscaping last spring, and did a top quality job. With my regular plan for weed and pest control, seeding and mowing, my lawn has never looked better. They did leaf clean up in the fall. Now they are working on my lawn irrigation system. I appreciate that a friendly, knowledgeable crew shows up and gets the job done, and they work within my budget.
