The Secret Garden in Mequon

I highly recommend The Secret Garden. Mike totally transformed my overgrown Shorewood backyard into a tranquil oasis. We worked iteratively to find a landscape and hardscape design that exceeded my expectations while remaining within budget and minimizing ongoing maintenance requirements. Once the design was finalized, Mike’s in-house landscaping crew took over to complete the work — they were extremely professional and polite, completing the work quickly and skillfully and cleaning up after themselves each day. Mike is communicative, passionate about landscaping and all-around a pleasure to work with.

Had a fantastic experience with The Secret Garden! The expertise, passion for the craft, and attention to detail were spot on. Even though my project wasn’t very large, they listened and helped me put together the right plan. In one instance, they were willing to work with foundation contractors to make sure the end result was right. Great communication and very high quality of work. Thankful they were recommended to me!

We had an excellent experience with Secret Garden. Unique and interesting patio / landscape design ideas. Mike was a cut above several other landscape designers and companies which were also consulted on this project. We needed excavation and install of new patio as well as support for surrounding beds. Mike and his team were transparent, timely, professional and efficient. Our project started and ended on time. The crew who worked at our house for the week was courteous, professional and really talented. I can recommend them confidently. It was a very positive experience.

We had secret garden complete two separate projects for us, which included our front and backyard landscape design. They were wonderful to work with from start to finish. Mike offered beautiful landscape design services and you can tell he really thinks about how all the plants will bloom together and at different times. The color scheme and height of the varying plants were perfect. We receive so many complements on our landscaping.

Mike and his staff are terrific to work with - from the initial design through the planting of materials. The design creativity and selection/quality of the materials exceeded our expectations. Just an incredible experience from The Secret Garden for our hardscape project this year. Recommended by someone at a local lawn care supply store as "one of the best in town" we had to give them a try. Mike (the owner) had a professional attitude and was very honest about what could and couldn't be done with some challenging aspects of the project. I appreciated this approach from the onset. He also has rare "vision" about what would work and look best and what the options are based upon his decades of experience in the business. The project manager (Duane) and his team got the majority of the large project done quickly to minimize disturbance. Our neighbors appreciated it! The challenges that the project presented were addressed and overcome with no issue and I felt like I was in great hands the entire time. When the final bill came there were even discounts for work that didn't need to be done! You might say this should be expected but I know that this doesn't always happen in this space and others. This says it all. Its an honest company doing honest, great work at a fair price to the client. This is all why they are among the "best in town" in a very crowded field. The Secret is out!
