They do a good job , but I have messaged twice to mow the area in my back yard that used to be a garden and they still haven t mowed it.

No one ever came to cut my grass. They kept pushing my date back, and I couldnt even get a refund. I wasnt able to talk to a real person, just text a fake computer. You all should be awear of this scam

Im not one to normally complain or post complaints but these guys earned it. I signed up for their service to cut my lawn every two weeks. They gave me a four day window 3 days after I signed up. No one ever showed to cut the lawn. I called and spoke with customer service. Was told someone would email to let me know when the person would be out. Never heard back. Not sure how these people are still in business. Would never use.

Updating for this year. The company rescheduled us for a week and a half through three or four different providers. The provider that came just now did such a horrid job on the lawn. If it wasn t for our property security cameras, I would not have known what he did, or how he did it. He use a trimmer to cut my entire lawn soo you can imagine how bad it looks. The lawn looks horrible.

This is the absolute WORST company! They say theyll cut your grass and send a team, but no one shows up. You call their customer service - which is HORRIBLE - and they say theyll credit your account AFTER demanding a manager repeatedly and being told that theyre busy. I spent 2 HOURS on the phone with service one day. Thought that after this they would be ok. THEY WERENT! If someone did show, theyd only do half the lawn and then charge you a high grass fee even though the reason its high is because they never came out!!! Just the absolute worst. Dont do it!! BTW I also never saw a single credit...

Absolutely the worst experience. First they make you have 3 cuts, not just 1. Then they drag it out for 3 months. They dont cut grass low enough. Then charge double for it being tall. Worst communication. Then had the gawl to try & charge me & cut my grass a fourth time. After Ive done nothing but try to get those 3 cuts over so I didnt have to deal with the company anymore. And its never the same person who cuts Ur grass so they arent learning anything about how it should be done.

lawn mowing was for most part great with just 1 or 2 spots that got missed. But basic job was fine and I am happy.

Cut half the yard. Didn t edge. Left grass all over sidewalk, driveway, side of the house, and in the chain link fence. Left the gate open to the fence. Scheduled for someone else to come out and fix the yard, canceled, rescheduled, and no one ever showed up. Yard looks worse than before it was cut. Wouldn t recommend to my enemy.

I was really sad to cancel service before it got started because of your crew not showing up & if I could have waited for another crew/another appointment I would have but my situation was urgent, but once I got Zaitha, your customer service rep, she was so understanding & seemed genuinely apologetic because of what happened til I almost kept your service! In todays time kindness, professionalism & just grand customer service has become a rare quality that hardly exist anymore. Im thankful to have had her assist me with my issue. WTG Zaitha. No one showed up in the two day window THEY PROVIDED. I could have made other arrangements. No call or email, I cancelled the account all together.

We re still waiting for the first appointment. We ve been rescheduled twice and we were told someone would be out yesterday. Yesterday came and went and our yard is out of hand. Now we ll have to pay double that to have someone cut it

Never got the same pros. Always had to cancel & reschedule services. Last pros sent to do yard work were very unprofessional and did a awful job and after agreeing to give ma a partial credit they found a way to recoup the money by charging me a long grass length fee that was not true at all. I disputed the charge. They never got back with me. Very unprofessional. Do not use them.

I really like the way that their system responds in email and phone text to make lawn care in Midtown a relatively easy and painless process. Of course, it is with men like Jerome who cuts our grass like clockwork that makes everything fit together. Hes strong and fit and does what he does fast and efficiently. I really like the services and they are reasonably priced.

This company is a joke continuously rescheduled and canceled my appointment. The so called crew never showed ,but then marked the job as commercial property a complete waste of time. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

The crews dont come for scheduled cuts and when you call customer service to reschedule all they do is tell you to contact the crew. Then if your cuts get delayed long enough the crew upcharges 3x the mowing fee saying its long grass even though it only got long because they didnt come when scheduled. Never again

They just randomly stopped coming with no notice. When they would come they would never come on the day they said they d be there.

Been waiting for a scheduled visit that was suppose to take place Wednesday ..no one showed or called then it was Thursday no one showed or called then it was Friday same thing..they said Monday or Tuesday I cancelled my services . Very unprofessional I would not recommend this place to anyone

I waited for about 2 weeks for my first crew to come, then I got tossed to another crew which took another 2 weeks to finish my grass. Then, I got charged an extra long grass fee because it took them so long to come. All in all, I was quoted at $50/cut and ended up having to pay $465. I called and told them the situation and they knocked the price down to $235. So I guess I was lucky to pay almost 5x the quoted amount?

I hired LawnStarter to care for the lawn at my daughters house, Fall of 2020. They started off as champions. They were affordable, timely, and provided quality service. If I had written this review a few month months ago, it would have been 5 stars. However time showed me who this business is. I contacted them about leaf removal earlier this month, my experience changed. I was scheduled for a date, and that date would come a go and the leaves remained. On the day a crew did arrive, the bid for removal changed from $89.00 to over $200.00. I was told that a new crew would be assigned to me, and they would honor the original bid. Well, after a week of promises and failed appointments, we still have leaves. I called on more than one occasion and left my number for a return call. I would have appreciated a called; but it never came. As of the time of this writing I am disappointed and have lost confidence in Lawnstarters ability to do this job. In dont know what happened to them. They were great; but today they just make promises about work that doesnt happen. I am still rooting for them, and hope that they improve their business model. However, I am not longer a customer. I wish them well.

I got this service off of nextdoor neighbor.com. First time receiving this service. Horrible service! They don t return phone calls, put you on hold for about an hour. The service they I received wasn t definitely to my satisfaction! Not only did they do a horrible job, but they didn t come back like promise. They left grass uncut, edging incomplete, and left gate open. Run, Run, Run !!!!

I got tired of dealing with trying to find reliable lawn care service and found them from a Google search. Ive been using the service over a year now and its so easy and hassle free and my lawn crew does a great job every time. Will definitely recommend!!!

The first service was fine everything was good but the crew never for the second. My mom, 2 aunts 4 sisters and 3 cousins started with them because of me now i told them to cancel their services and we are no longer using them for our lawn care. The communication with this company is terrible!!!!!! No one ever answered and in emails i just got different date changes but no one STILL never showed. My grass is ridiculously high and now i have to pay more. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! They are NOT reliable AT ALL!!!!!! They did not show up at the time that they said they would. My grass is very uneven. It looks like they cut it with their eyes closed. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Extremely unprofessional.

Somebody came out to cut my grass and broke my storm door glass he was not going to tell me . I caught them on my ring door bell. I can t get in contact with LawnStarters to get my door fixed. I had to pick up the broken glass and cut my leg . If I don t here from them soon . I will call a lawyer .

The people who showed up at house looked as if they were homeless people that had stolen their equipment. No one is bonded. It is a different person every time. They like to just mow the front yard and move on. They like to burn holes in the yard with trimmers. Their edging is atrocious. If I were to design a service that set people up to get their houses robbed, it would be this.

I did not even get to use a full service from this company. They give a 2 day window on when the crew is suppose to arrive which they cannot even make that. I was placed on schedule for yesterday and today, well no one shows up! I placed a call back to speak with a rep and she stated it looked like the guy that was suppose to come out did not go to any of his calls today. As a new customer, it left a horrible taste in my mouth. Why bother with a company who doesn t call or give common courtesy to a NEW customer that something happens and no one will be out today. Yet they ask you to write a good review on Nextdoor to get $10-30 off?

I ve used them for over two years now. I had two excellent teams. Both quit on me. The last one I wasn t even informed of. Tried contacting my team and the conversation between us had been archived. Called to ask why and the very sweet rep couldn t even tell me why. I m supposed to get a new team sometime this week. In the meantime my grass is growing inches and looks awful

I love the service they provide and the workers are very helpfull at letting you know what need to be done when your not around to judge there work. They will send you pictures of the property which I appreciate very much cuz I was not able to be there. And the business is very trustworthy.

So far so good this is my second cut. Both times they were on time and did a thorough job. Got charged an extra $20 for y all grass which was no problem. Definitely didn t mind paying the extra tall grass fee since the 1st cut was $19. Grass was definitely taller than it should have been so I deserved the xtra charge. Overall good quality, and good value. Looking forward to my next cut.

This is his first cut on my law on my lawn and he really did good job. He neatly manicured, edge and cleaned the grass clippings. I hope he will come back to service it again.

First time using them and I was terribly disappointed. $195 for cleanup service and I dont know what the hell they cleaned up because leaves were still present and weeds were still in the flower beds. They did a poor job on edging as well. To top it off I canceled my services only to find out that I was still obligated for 3 more cuts.

This is my first time using LawnStarter and my last time .They arrived on my property July 8th at 8:pm. It was already dark they finished at 8:30pm. I looked out my window at night to see if the grass was cut and it was.On Saturday the 11th my son came over to cut my hedges and he saw how they had chopped up my grass,no edging was done , I have a corner lot my son said that a riding now was used ,which caused damage to my yard I filed a complaint but they refuse to acknowledge what happened to my yard.They were scheduled to come back and edge my yard that was rescheduled 2 times ,now they want to give me $15 and not fix the problem.Who does business like this. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in Memphis.Waiting on a response.I am very disappointed with this company

The crew that was sent to my house was professional and friendly. They were on time and did a fantastic job on my lawn. The Customer Service representatives were also able to answer all my questions and were also professional, courteous and friendly. This is a great service for people who need someone to mow the lawn and the cost and value are extraordinary!

The company is hit or miss. Ive only used them 3 times and only 1 company did a great job. Watch out tho certain mowing companies will wreck your yard (missed mowes spots, missed edged spots, huge chunks of yard if they dont think its your yard)

This company was a hot mess. Never did lawn care on time and would frequently reschedule at the last minute. Crew was frequently reassigned and my lawn care was often performed late. My final straw was when they lied and said they couldnt cut my lawn due to not being able to get in my security gate...zinger is, I DO NOT LIVE IN A GATED COMMUNITY! They left and did not cut grass and rescheduled me for 2+ weeks later which would leave my yard overgrown. I resorted to having a neighbor cut my grass. Unacceptable. Would not recommend. At all..

Set up to have my lawn mowed, crew never showed, called and asked what s up? They rescheduled a new top-tier crew who also never showed up. 11 days have gone by and they have yet to get a single task accomplished, I m over it and called to officially break/cancel my contract.

They did not fulfill their obligations of lawn service agreements. The service kept being delayed until the grass was 6-8 inches tall. When I contacted them about no shows, I did not want to be charged for Tall Grass fee I was advised I would HAVE TO CALL BACK after the mow to receive a credit. They were still looking for a crew to substitute the missing crew. No available lawn crews came. I fired this service, I was billed for 2 no show services. Now they want me to provide proof they didnt mow. Well Lawnstarter, I hired a local lawn service that came the day your crew said they arrived to mow. Liars and Fraud is you game! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

Overall its good. You can have your flow of income definitely!! Job offers do come in everyday, most times all day. Gave 3 stars because not enough pay is offered on some jobs. You have some people that will lie about there yard an it be either overgrown or bigger the what was in the description. Now since you have to go through all kinds of stuff to get the right compensation for the job, they will cancel because they wants to pay what they was quoted at first. Lost customer, time, an gas. I feel Lawn Starter should explain to them before sending us to them. Some type of fee should be in place. Corner lots should always have an up charge because of all the edging that comes with it. FACTS!!!!!!
