Wanted to take a minute to Thank Jim and his team for a great job this year. My Mother had the best looking lawn on the block. There are now 5 people on her block using the Turf Doctor Services. We utilized Turf Doctor in 2023 before Jim bought the business. All i can say is that is night and day between Jim and the previous owner. Keep up the great job Jim and Team !!!! We look forward to your services next year !!!

There quality has dropped considerably. Less applications. Same costs. Watched one guy do half my lawn. With the old owners I aways got a application in November. Not this year. I don't even think they did a grub application. I'll find a reputable company after the holidays and say good by to this company after 14 years!!!!
Decided to give Turf Doctor another try since they have new ownership now. Quality has improved and their pricing is on point. They also happily sent out a tech when my lawn had a few weeds pop up. My experience has been so much better now under new ownership and technicians.
Awful experience period. I used to have grass now it's all weeds. I have bought a house in August2023 and the grass was perfect and amazing as the previous owners owned a lawn company. So I was hesitant to take care of it myself and ask my husband for professionals to take care of the lawn so they came in the spring first application and continued on but ever since my lawn looks like my house is abandoned and weeds are everywhere they claim everyone they served had fungus of some sorts I went thru the reviews and it was every excuse they gave to people! I think they should shut down. It is time for us to call the BBB! This is a Bad business and you can not talk property to a reasonable adult in there. If you have a complaint it is always your fault. Save your money and look the reviews before hiring anyone.
June 2023 they came out and applied to slow release fertilizer with broadleaf weed control. About seven days later it started to turn brown. I called the owner at the time Mike and he said everybody’s has a disease just water it. I went ahead and watered as I was instructed, and it got worse and I also asked quite a few of my neighbors and their lawns were not diseased. Mike came out the owner at the time and he said that they put too much down and he put hay and seed down. The old stuff was not raked up prior to this being done. Mike then again came out in August and threw more hay and seed down and left. Called Mike again in September. He said that they would come out in the spring of 2024. I called in February to schedule an appointment and was informed that there was a new owner that is taking over for Mike and they would send somebody out to look at my lawn. March 2024 they sent someone out to look at my lawn. I called after the visit and they said they would come out on April 15 to take care of the lawn. They called me today on April 3. To say that they were going to spray my lawn I said I did not want it sprayed I wanted it taken care of and I’ve been been waiting since last year patiently. The new ownership told me that they were not going to do anything about the problems from last year from the previous owner that they are no longer responsible for anything from the previous owner. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!! Regardless of new ownership, the problem had been going on for a year without being resolved and now they don’t want to resolve it because there is a new owner. Ownership should not matter when the name of the company stays the same and you’re taking all of the current clients at the company. Do yourself a favor find another company because all they will do is ruin your lawn and then tell you continuously that they will fix it and never fix anything. And it sounds like the owner knew he was going to sell, which is why he kept putting it off putting it off and now here I am. Shame on these new owners, you should be taking care of the current customers. I have been with these guys for years but I’m done and if I have to take them to court I will. You’re still using the name of the company, so anything under that umbrella should still be taken care of, regardless of who owns the company. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY AND THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY! They will not take ownership over the problems that they cause! Response to owner: I was not told anything about reaching out to the old owner, nor was I offered his contact information. I was also never offered a year free of service. What I did tell you is, I had another company come out and they told me that for $300 they would come out and reseed and I requested that from you and that was declined. I canceled the fertilization appt, yes. I understand that you think putting nutrients down might help it. I’m just trying to get what I was promised over a year ago the reseeding.
I would never recommend this company to anyone! Paid in advance big mistake! Ruined my new sod, have so many weeds and burn spots everywhere. Poor customer service!! Nobody returning my calls!
I gave them 5 stars 3 years ago. Now I barely want to give them 2. Last year we paid in advance for 5 treatments, and we received 3. This year, we decided to pay as we go. The first application of weeds control job was so horrible that you can see bands of weeds growing on my loan in all the areas they missd..I called to address the issues, no one ever answered phone calls & no one returned calls! I'm so disappointed!

Under new ownership, they were really good at doing the first application, very friendly and knew whkooat they were doing. I suggest giving them a try.
Called to add service to my house, and the girl on the phone really unprofessional. She obviously didnt want to be there, so I ended up telling her to forget everything Ill pass on your service. The first person that a costumer is going to speak to when trying to get your service should be polite and professional

Seemed ok at first, until they fried a 6×6 dead spot in my lawn, completely dead,, which wouldve been ok if they came out to fix it or throw some seed down but they never did after numerous phone calls, so i stopped paying until they would come fix the issue and they just stopped showing up lol.... seem nice on the phone but when the owner says hes gonna come out and look and never does its pretty unprofessional.
My father has paid them for treatments this year and they have only came once back in May. They did not come for June and now we are heading towards end of July and they have yet to come! Called this company and no one answers! Horrible! I will not be using you guys next year that s a fact!
While paid Turf Doctor for weed control, what we got was streaks of dead grass because of poor application
Have used Turf Doctor for a couple seasons. Pretty much a hit-n-miss business service. They were OK in the beginning but learned it basically depends on which kid they send out to ride/run the application machine. Sometimes the machine sprayer is set to cover a wide enough area, or not enough - i.e. missed sections. My lawn shows where the driver of the fertilizer did, and did not go, leaving two-tone color lawn streaks and I still had weeds. Lazy/rushed lawn workers causing low quality outcomes. I ve had to call them several times about poor application issues. No more. I m done with Turf Doctor.
I I am very unhappy with their services They claim to be the number one lawn fertilizing service. But the owner told me they re not coming back because they don t do grubs! I never even had grub still they started taking care of my lawn. Well they dumped us decide let everyone know how they really are

This is our first time using Turf Doctor. The deal was very appealing and affordable, but they don t answer when you call, don t provide the dates of service and if you need a treatment in between you can t get ahold of them so you really can t get one. We still have weeds and are very unhappy with their service.

Warning: Try a different company! I used them for a couple months and that was the worse mistake I made. I asked them to call before coming out and they never did. After 2 treatments I was still seeing weeds in my grass so i called and talked to Misty ( the only thing good about this company. She was very nice and respectful!), and she told me she would let them know. I also told her could she make sure that someone calls before they come out again. She put it in red marker on my paper to call before coming out! Someone still came out and didnt call. Now after 3-4 sprays and 1 slow emergent release why is my lawn looking like i need to cut it and i just did 3 days prior? I continued calling talked to Misty again and Joe another time because i had some concerns about what was happening to my lawn. Mike the owner or manager called me and was yelling saying he didnt like that i was calling so much and to stop calling. I told him wouldnt u continue calling if you were concerned about your lawn and unhappy that yall are coming out without calling? He send Im canceling ur lawn treatments and giving you a full refund so dont call here anymore. I called them back and i told Mike Im an unhappy customer and your a business owner who suppose to give me respect like Im giving you, and handle the matter in a respectful way. I did get my full refund. So Im warning everyone now try someone else. Now Im left with not only all these weeds but also a burned lawn from them spraying so much for broadleaf weeds when the shouldve been spraying for nutsedge weeds. The only thing good about this place is Misty who answers the phone. She was very respectful! Hey Mike take some pointers from Misty!

If youre looking for a RELIABLE company, please stay clear of this one. Id hate to give any company a horrible rating but my experience with this company has not been good. This was my first summer using them and I will never use them again. They came out and sprayed one time so far which was at the beginning of May. It is now The end of July and I should be getting my 4th spray on my lawn, but theyve been nowhere to be found. I did call on 7/18/17 and Got a return call on 7/19/17 and spoke with a man who apologized & said theyd be out that day to spray. It is now 7/29/17 and Ive yet to have anyone out here to spray. I feel as though I tried to resolve this and give them another chance before rating them.
UPDATE - They have canceled my LawnCare and canceled the Charge for the services I didnt ask for. In the very least they where very professional when it came to canceling and refunding the service. Upgrading to 2 stars due to that. Not worth the pain! They did a horrible job last year including killing many plants that where edged along the lawn itself even after being warned. They would never call more then once to see if I was hope to unlock the back.. So my back never got what I paid for.. AND WORST OF ALL! They came back this year and applied pre-emergent without EVER talking to me if I wanted service this year and are attempting to charge me.
I wasnt happy the first year back in 2009 but ever since then they come on time and have a very nice staff. Lawn looks beautiful!
This is the fourth Summer we have used Turf Doctor and I have no complaints! They are good, guys are respectful and nice! My husband has a bone to pick with the guys, he has to mow so much because we have such a beautiful healthy lawn!! The neighbors on both sides also use them and a third neighbor is contacting you soon!
