Kevin and his guys did an amazing job grading my property and installing sod. I highly recommend them for both price and quality of service.
The Sodfather did the most amazing job of installing sod around our new pool and throughout our property. He is maticulous with his work. He is a pleasure to work with. We even hired him to be our new landscaper. We highly recommend for quality of work, quality of product, knowledge and fairness with pricing.
Kevin was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was professional in every manner, always being present to manage the job from start to finish. Answering any inquires we may have had before, during and after laying the sod (and there were many). His team was punctual and cautious to not disturb any of our surrounding patio or shrubs and he has continued to check in with us after to be sure we were properly caring for the sod during the first few days, (which are critical to having the sod’s roots imbed into the soil). We look forward to working with Kevin in any of our future landscaping needs and designs!
Kevin ‘Sodfather’ and his crew were professional, personable, knowledgeable, respectful, courteous and friendly. Kevin did an excellent job discussing all work which needed to be done regarding preparation, grading, removal of sod and debris, installation of sod, as well as watering and maintenance. His crew worked extremely hard in all aspects of the preparation, grading, installation of sod, as well as clean-up. The price for the job was excellent. I strongly recommend ‘Sodfather’ for and lawn work that you might need.
I called Kevin to ask for a price for sod for my yard, he answered quickly came over same day and did an amazing job. Great pricing and excellent customer service. A week later I had a little problem with one of the pieces of sod, I called Kevin to ask his advice and actually came back to my house to replace a piece! So nice and totally unexpected. Would recommend them 100%.
Kevin was amazing to work with from the beginning. We had a small job that other companies had turned down, but Kevin was happy to help! Excellent communication and very responsive. Kevin showed up in a timely manner. Gave me an estimate and set a date to start the job. Never heard from him until the day of the job. I called to see what time they were coming, and he said he couldnt do the job. So I now had two weeks to grade the yard myself before I left for the winter. Never explained why.
Grass looks amazing, everyone that passes by my home asked about it and compliments it. I definitely recommend The sod father for Sod and grading.

I had a new sod lawn put down by suffolk sodfather in may of 2022 along with some other landscape work, after less then one month the lawn is full of weeds and has multiple brown spots, Kevin godberson was also hired to trim trees, bushes and mulch my flower bed, which was never completed and now he refuses to provide a receipt for the work he has done and refuses to finish the job or reimburse me for the work that was not completed . I thought I hired a professional company to do a professional job but I got everything but that. Please save yourself the headaches and use a reputable sod company and or landscaper for your home improvement needs. Anyone who wants to see the terrible job Godberson landscaping did feel free to stop by anytime
Kevin and his crew are timely and professional. Anytime I need something done, Kevin is super responsive and comes to do the work as soon as possible. I was having a party in my backyard last minute and he came the day before to make sure my yard looked great! Always use them for mulch, weeding , and weekly landscaping. Definitely recommend!

Spoke to Kevin on Saturday and he was able to squeeze me in on Tuesday and get the job done. He completely ripped up my lawn installed the new sod in one day and it looks absolutely perfect! Very clean very professional no damage to any of my sprinklers we couldn t be happier.

I do not even know where to begin with the unprofessional behavior. I got an estimate a month ago Kevin said he was coming on the 25 . I mailed a deposit. When I called to ask him where he was ,he said oh it is a holiday?? I said when were you going to tell me you were not coming?? I don t know when you you work? He kept saying he was coming on a date and then didn t show then he hung up on me . I called him back several times to try to talk and he texted me he wasn t doing the job! I am glad I didn t give him any cash! Stay away ! I told Kevin I was a nurse and work weekend nights and he had to schedule me on a weekend no I am not getting up to give him half the money . I have to be back at work that night! I told him I would give him all the money when I woke up but I would rather he come a different day. That is when he hung up on me! Like I said before stay away him! Then he tried to get me to take this post down!

The Suffolk Sodfather and his team of men are the most professional contractors I have ever had at my home. Aside from transforming my back yard, they installed a beautiful plush Kentucky blue grass sod. Four years later, my lawn still looks great!
Kevins gone above and beyond expectations while transforming our property. Initially, we had a run-down yard with just weeds and bits of crabgrass. He and his crew stripped it all out, brought in topsoil, sod, and cut the edges nicely to the flower beds that we wanted to have. Since then, hes helped out with additional maintenance/cleaning, mulching and tons of grading/leveling across a 1.5 acre property, including tons of back fill that was dumped on the side from when the house was built. The time spent on trying to do any of it myself, and Ive tried, just doesnt amount to the quality work he can pull off. Kevin has plenty of knowledge in his line of work and is very transparent. The cat also loves the view.
