Yard was looking pretty bad. Just had some trees cut down and wanted to get sod. Called South Side Lawns and Services because of all the good reviews. They did not lie! Kornell came right out and took a look at the yard, taking his time to go over options and pricing. He listened to my ideas and offered his expertise to make it happen. He and his team got everything done even sooner than expected AND on a holiday weekend. The results were awsome! I was kept informed during the whole process. They whole team was very professional and I couldnt ask for better customer service. Highly recommend.

This review is long overdue but I had been looking for lawn care services for a long time and I was very pleased with this place! Mr.Johnson and his team were professional, thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable about their craft. They went above and beyond and provided excellent lawn care service. I highly recommend this location to anyone that needs lawn care services. South Side Lawns and Services are now my go-to lawn care provider!

I called this company to help with making sure my lawn looks good for the spring and summer months. The owner told me that he would come to my home and place pre emergent on my lawn to prevent weeds and follow up every other month for treatment. From the looks of my lawn, it doesn t look as though anything was applied. I was not home at the time but my husband was home. Someone showed up but although they placed something on my lawn, my lawn now has a big black patch in it and there are all kinds of weeds sprouting up. In fact, I had two other companies come by and tell me that there is no way my lawn should look the way it does if pre emergent was applied. I ll have to follow up this post with pictures. I usually take care of my lawn myself but because I moved and the size of my lawn increased, I entrusted these people with my lawn. Even I know after using pre emergent a lawn should not have new weeds emerging. That s the purpose of pre emergent, to prevent weeds from emerging. I gave this company the benefit of the doubt and called to see if someone could come out to look at my lawn. They said that they would definitely come out but never showed up. I reached back out to inquire as to when someone would come out and no response. I usually don t like to give bad reviews because I have a business and know that there are times where things happen so grace was given. Here however, I ve called, text etc., and nobody seems to care after taking my $90.00. For anyone reading this post, you can use these folks if you want to but my experience was absolutely horrible. It s the lack of communication for me. Tell me if you re behind or if you can t come out for two or three weeks. Just don t Ghost me and expect for me to act as though nothing happened. Even if they wanted to come back out after reading this post, I d never use this company again.

This was hands down the most professional and best experience we have had with lawn care. Kornnel and his team at South Side Lawn did an excellent job of laying our sod and cleaning beds. Kornnel guided us through every step of the process, gave us recommendations and in general was very patient with me as I changed my mind a few times! He never pushed us toward the more costly service and in fact helped us save money. What we appreciated most was his taking the time to educate us so we could be informed consumers going forward. He was highly professional and very responsive. He also helped us with landscape design. We will use South Side Lawn again and have switched our lawn maintenance to his company as of today! We just git sod installed today so I uploaded a few pics. The next step is to finish landscaping with pavers, mulch and rocks which is why there are unfinished areas. You will not regret using this company!

Operation manager Kornell was punctual ,gave accurate and detailed estimate. We hired hired him to do tree removal, and installed 3 pallets of Bermuda sod. Within 3 days Mr. Kornell was able to provide a reasonable quote and additional service add-ons they provide, such as trimming and weed services. Southside Lawns and Services is on time to trim every 2 weeks and always provided a photo upon completion. What impressed me most was the quality of the work (Ive had several compliments on the grading job) and how professional and responsive Kornell and team were. Great service-excellent attention to detail.

Kornell was hired to provide bi-weekly lawn care (grass cutting). He did well for about a month, then went on vacation and the decline began. I waited 3 weeks with the understanding he was out of town, however when he returned I never heard from him, had to chase him down to resume service. Two weeks later, didn t show as planned again and with no notice. His response was a COVID illness with one of the workers meant he wasn t working??? Sure. Nevertheless, no shows & poor communication = trash service. I do not recommend.

So I did this thing and had the perfect person to help me. Had a she she shed built during the pandemic and had a beautiful, massive fig tree in the back yard that produced amazing figs, but was creating all kind of problems for me with the little birds and then the hawks preying on the birds. So called on my friends at South Side Lawn to help me remove the tree and then to do some landscaping for me in place of it and to make it look tropical to match my themed she shed.
