I ve been a loyal Turf Master customer for years. I ve recommended them to family, friends and neighbors. Last year, one of their technicians sprayed my front and backyard with roundup and totally destroyed my lawn. Some of the damaged areas were huge ( 10 ft by 8 ft). After multiple phone calls they admitted that other customers suffered the same mishap. The account manager called me and said he would fix the dead areas with new sod. I was the last customer to receive sod and the ran out, leaving some smaller areas bare. The bare areas are still bare and my yard where the new sod was installed has sunken because they did not add top soil to level it with existing lawn. This year, my yard has been treated several times and weeds are taking over my yard. My yard is so uneven I almost twisted my ankle walking across it and I m forced to hire a professional to top dress my entire yard to level it so it can be mowed. This used to be a good compan but now I tell everybody to use anyone instead of Turf Master.

Actually, I have recommended many(at least 10) of my neighbors here on Sycamore Ridge Dr. in Simpsonville. Your records will show that. Unfortunately I dont think I have received a credit for the many that have taken your service. What I like about your service is the fact that if I call with a concern, someone will return the call with a follow up visit. I also like the fact that I have the area managers name(Chris) and number. He has taken the time to test my soil, meet with me to discuss trouble areas of my lawn. Keep up the good work!

So far, so good. My lawn looks good and is relatively weed-free. Excellent communication via text regarding upcoming visits. Good email feedback. I like the discount option for prepaying the whole years worth of service.

Service members always make sure to evenly treat every part of my yard with care. Because of that Ive had a weed free yard for almost a year now which is proof that the service is worth every penny.

Customer service from the home office is atrocious. Zero follow up and they give conflicting information than what the trained and certified technicians in the field are telling the customers about when and how treatments are being applied - telephone & email people say chemicals are fine to be applied in a rain downpour but the technicians say it is less effective when this is done. Not please whatsoever. They say they are locally owned here in Greenville but the call center and home office is in Georgia??? Their tag line is they are the nice guys nice guys make themselves available to call the office here in town not a call center and maybe you ll get a call back when it s convenient for them. Update: this company replies and they can t even spell my last name correctly. Details matter. You re fired!!!

My yard looked like one of the best in the neighborhood and then this company burnt my grass badly. Really did not get an apology, just a little credit on my account. Very disappointed in this service.

I would probably give 0 stars if possible. I ve had a terrible experience with turf masters. For starters, my grass looks worse than it ever has. Whatever they have been spraying has been killing my lawn. Even with following aftercare directions to a tee. It s obvious that the techs do not even spray for weeds on one side of my house. The customer service is atrocious. I ve written to them through their portal multiple times without response. One of their techs hit my mailbox, tried to deny it even with video proof. The manager did not even offer to replace it. Only said they would fix it or give me the past service for free. Any to top it all off, I called to cancel because of how displeased I am last Monday. The person on the phone tells me a route manager has to call me to complete the cancellation but do you think that s happened? No. Turf masters has been nothing but a headache and I would advise anyone looking into their services to look elsewhere EDIT: yes you did offer me $77 dollars for the mailbox or to fix it. The mailbox was dented, the newspaper box completely knocked away from the post and the post knocked loose from the ground. I didn t trust your craftsmanship after seeing what you ve done to my lawn so I took the money. Even though it was much less than what it would have cost to replace

Jeff came out today just to check on my lawn. I have had numerous companies over the years. And I never had this kind of service. Really cares.

We have had Turf Masters for 5 years and every year we have the same issue with weeds. This year after having Turf Masters treat our lawn again with no success. They sent a manager out and looked at the weeds and said they would do something nice to make up for it. Nobody ever came out so my wife called to cancel our service. My biggest issue is that my neighbor uses a different company and their yard looks great. They dont have any issues with their lawn. I decided to go to Home Depot and treat my yard myself. Magically, 50 dollars at Home Depot and 1 hour in my yard, my weeds finally died within a week. Save yourself the headache and frustration by using a different company or just go to your local home improvement store and do it yourself.

We hired turf masters for services and sent a picture of walkway to the sales rep to ENSURE it could be done prior to signing up. We paid for two treatments before we were informed this wasn t possible. When asking for the 3rd treatment to be written off (47.50) we were told it didn t make sense to write off for just a walkway despite the sales rep lying to get our business in the first place. It took 7 business days to even hear back. The original customer service rep had even mentioned refunding the prior treatments. No one is on the same page at this company. Highly do not recommend as it went all the way to the manager of the SC turf masters who said this. Nothing was worked out. They are still trying to bill us for the 3rd service despite us being lied to in the first place. We paid for 2 services on false pretenses.

We have been using turf masters now. For several years. It was not untilthis year we had experienced multiple issues with them. We live in a subdivision of 250 houses. all yards are small. multiple issues and excuses for not treating my loan. Where cant access the property. when you work from home? There are always gonna be 2 cars in the driveway. And I actually canceled the service last week because I had Halloween decorations in the yard. I received a text message yesterday my mom was to be treated today, Im going to find out they never showed up and when I called the lady with cosomer service said they were unable to access my yard. It seems that everyone is too lazy to do their job these days. No one wants to get out and pull a cord through a yard when they have other jobs to do.

Experience over several years is very good. Messages explain arrivals and what was done. Everybody was courteous. Suggestion for improvement: The sign-stick left behind is a sharp trash hazard. I understand the appeal of marketing and branding, thats fine. The stick, however, goes in the trash at the first opportunity and presents a sharp hazard, puncturing bags of trash, etc. A spike that could be rendered non-sharp when pulled up (like reversing the spike into a tube) would be better and appreciated. Or maybe a removable vinyl sidewalk sticker?

This is the first company that I have had, that required me to kill or dig up weeds. I didnt have the time to dig them up, so I killed them and half of my yard is dead. This year, I started communicating with them about this years plan. First email no response, second email I got an apology and got some information. Responded to that email and no response. A few days ago, I emailed them again and even asked if they were still in business. Still, no response. Im done with this worthless company.

This company cancelled my contract after 2nd application because at first they said I had Bermuda grass when in fact my grass was centipede. So the second application burned my grass. And they said they could no longer work with my yard. Was told they would refund my 69.00 Im still waiting on it after two months.

Just talked with Melvin one of the techs for turf masters. I dont know anything about the company as I use a different lawn service. However he is a great representative for the company and was very polite.

They do a good job and at a fair price. If we are home they explain what they are going to do.

They came out and took care of my lawn in just 2 sprayings my lawn looks really good. I could not recommend them enough all I can say try it for yourself you will not be disappointed.

Good for few month, then last application, killed the lawn

I dont understand all the great reviews. We have Bermuda grass in the front and Zoysia grass in the back. We paid for fertilization, weed control, and( Fungi in the back). The lawns have not greened up and the Fungi is still there. Some of the weeds died but many still there and more came back. Our first treatment July 18th. They came back for a free service on September 9th. They did not respray fertilizer or the Fungi. Very disappointed in this company.

I had been unhappy with the previous lawn care company I was using so a neighbor recommended Turf Masters. I have used their services for over a year now and have been pleased with the results. The prices have been reasonable, as well. I recently reached out to them to request advance notice of when they would be coming out and I received a text message the day before their last visit, which was much appreciated.

We absolutely love Turf Masters! Our grass was completely dead and we had weeds everywhere! We now have a beautiful green lawn that doesn t even look like the same as the beginning! They re always very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional! Highly recommend!

Big promises poor delivery on them Been trying to get them back out but Jeff keeps promising they will come back but after 2 weeks nothing . Paid for the whole year and probably will pay hell getting any type of refun . You may want to look elsewhere

Loved what they have turned my lawn into.y only complaint is when they put out the fertilizer with a spreader, it gets all over my pool chairs and decking and in the pool. Other than that they are great.

Turf Masters has been great to work with. The team seems to be knowledgeable in lawn care and how to treat specific issues. Our lawn has gone from struggling to starting to thicken. Our weeds have also dwindled in capacity since we started treating with Turf Masters. They are also quick to come back out and retreat areas that are weed problematic (nutsedge) and have not taken to the first application. We have used Turf Masters for 2 seasons now and will continue to use them for our lawn care.

My experience with your company was plagued by extremely poor customer service and a total lack for regards of customer requests. I would never recommend your company or services to anyone, in fact, I have let others in my neighborhood know how my experiences went and asked for other recommendations regarding lawn service. A simple request to knock on the door before service and announce that you are there was routinely ignored even after repeated calls and being ensured it would never happen again. After all this, each time our lawn was serviced, they had the gall to put a note saying they knocked on the door to ask if we had any questions and let us know they were there to service the yard. My office, which I work from home daily, looks directly at the front door- and not once after requesting to be notified upon arrival before work started- was it approached. Only after the work was competed and they left a ticket on door knob did any one come close to the door- and then still did not knock nor ring door bell. Simple customer request can not be ignored and expect to continue to keep Busienss.

It s always a great experience and exceptional lawn care. I take pride in my lawn and they help every step of the way! They are also readily available within a day or two if I have a question about my lawn they come and check it out. I would highly recommend them.

I had to change my rating. After I posted my frustrations. Guy calls me explains the process. So Im cool... Also they still need to fix the customer support line as u cant get to a live person. Tryin to get in contact with a physical person about your account is impossible. You call this number and all it would do is make you wait and then route to a recording that says everyone is busy they say you can leave a message then when it comes to that the call is ended. The guy that called my made me ok.. the level of concern was amazing. Andy Ferrell just saved me as a customer!!!!

You are better off doing your own work rather than paying this company to treat your yard. There are still weeds in my back lawn after almost one year of service. They spend very little time at the home spraying which means they are not very thorough.

Before Turf Masters, our lawn was FULL of weeds and numerous bare spots. Since Turf Masters has been treating our lawn, there are no more bare spots and ALL the weeds/crab grass is gone!! Their service is GREAT, dependable and affordable! Love the way our lawn looks now!

My complaint is the same as all the other negative reviews. Technician wasnt completing service. I had better results treating my weeds. Than with your company. The day that I canceled my service with you I caught your technician on my security camera ONLY GETTING OUT OF THE TRUCK TO LEAVE A DOOR HANGER CLAIMING HE DID WORK. Spoke with a manager name Andy and he claims his guys have NEVER done anything like this. I now understand why the majority of my neighbors use your competitors service.

Turf Masters Lawn Care definitely know what theyre doing. When we bought our first home, the previous owners didnt really maintain the lawn and it looked really bad. I did a research online and found TMLC, called them and they started treating our lawn asap. A couple of months went by and our lawn looked way better and greener than before. Ive been using them for 4 years now and I highly recommend their services. In addition, they seem to offer the best prices in the area as well. Give them a try!

We have been using Turf Masters Lawn Care for a almost two years now and my lawn is looking darned good. I never see any weeds, thanks to Turf Masters. My lawn is nice and green and I rarely if ever see a weed. I wish my garden was as weed free as my lawn. I highly recommend Turf Masters to anyone who needs some help with their lawn, no matter what kind of grass they have. I have already recommended them to a couple neighbors. Very professional and right there when certain services are needed, like fertilizer, and weed control and prevention. Highly recommend. And now a year later I still recommend. I would not give this company any stars. I have had difficulty with them since the beginning. They were suppose to credit my account, which they have not. I had two different quotes. One for my lawn that was soded and one for the lawn that was seeded (which was not to be fertilized by Turf Masters until growth was established.) They continued to bill me for the entire yard being fertilized, even though they only fertilized the sodded areas. (we have video proof of this). This continued for a couple of cycles. I repeatedly asked for management to contact me, no one did. In July I cancelled the service and the autopay. they still came out and fertilized and billed me even though I cancelled. Now they have turned me over to collection which I will dispute. every time customer service called I asked to speak with management and no one called me back. too many other great companies out there who can help maintain my yard. I would not use them or recommend them.

Unfortunately for turf masters, many homeowners now have cameras that record to motion. After calling explaining my dissatisfaction with the service provided, TM had the technician call to tell me the reason it was so fast was because he had a helper. That still doesn t explain or excuse the lack of completion of service which I have on camera. I requested this date of service be credited as the job was not complete and was rudely declined. For anyone considering turf masters, DONT. I d be happy to share the video of their service at anyone s request!

Have you ever thought you found something worth recommending to others, then you feel like an idiot a few months later for doing so? Well this is a prime example. Thought I found a turf company worth boasting, just to find out I would have been better off spraying water on my grass in hopes of killing weeds. All the people I have recommended to them are having the same issues of poor service (guys getting out of their truck for less than 2 minutes on a half acre lot to spray, not even touching half of the lot) to yard being overgrown with weeds. Do yourself a favor and ignore this 4.6 rating, and find a company that actually works for your hard earned dollar.

I like Turf Masters product, there is no denying the results. Two years ago my lawns was bad with weeds and other grasses now it but my neighbors to shame. It was instant but after a year I could tell the difference. It works! My only improvement would be that they do not come when they say they are. It is great I get a call letting me know beforehand but they should come at the time they arrange.

Great service at a reasonable price. The technician is always courteous and professional calling the day before service. Staying on schedule with service applications keeps my lawn WEED FREE and looking nice.

Weve had three different companies for our lawn care needs and Turf Masters is by far the best. Their customer service is top notch. And they actually call before each visit as I requested where the other two companies did not, which is important to us so we know when to cut the grass and how to plan for our dogs being outside during the day. Their pricing is on point. I really have no complaints. We have used them for maintenance lawn care and seeding and aeration.

So last year we had a yard full of crab grass and weeds. This year almost no weeds. They got rid of the bad weeds so much that I asm now down to knowing exactly where I need to seed and sod. Which as bad as that may sound...it is a good thing because I know I am on my way to a nice yard.

Weve been struggling with weeds in our lawn since Day One. We originally hired TruGreen for our service. I didnt like being on hold for 20 minutes and feeling like a number in the cue. Since working with Mike at Turf Masters, the service is much more personal and weve referred him to several people in our neighborhood.

I have had lawn service with other companies and actually caught them shorting me fertilizer and not covering my lawn completely, also doubling fertilizer in some areas causing my yard to burn. Turf Master has been consistent in coverage and quality. My yard looks better than ever. I should have gone with Turf Master first. We are new to Turf Masters this year and already notice that the lawn is much greener than it was with our previous service. The only reason that we havent given it all 5 stars is because we are never warned prior to a visit and would appreciate a call/knock on the door before services are begun so that bird feeders can be moved out of the way of the sprays.

This is our third home that had new sod when we moved in. Turf Masters is the only one that got our lawn looking great in just a few months, instead of 2 years like the other company did at our last 2 houses. What a fantastic job they have done.

I love the product and the results that Turf Masters shows and treats. The results are very good. My only issue has been I receive a call from someone saying they will be coming out the next day and they never show up for the treatment. I usually give it a day or two just to make sure nothing came up with scheduling but still no one shows. I usually then have to call in and ask why the person didnt show when they called to say they were coming and it gets resolved within the next day or two. Once that issue for me gets resolved, i would give it 5 stars all day but that part of scheduling for someone to come out and not showing up and resulting in me calling back in is lacking and would need to be addressed to get 5 stars from me. Overall, very pleased the product and results!

We signed up with Turf Masters in May of 2017. Our Sales Rep Michael has been on top of our lawn service since day one making sure that we are completely satisfied and providing advice on what s best for our lawn. A few weeks after our Bermuda sod was installed it became loaded with weeds but after a few treatments we saw a difference and a year later we have the best looking yard in our development. We since started growth regulator treatments and look forward to the results. Everyone in our neighborhood comments about how beautiful our lawn is. We highly recommend Turf Masters.

New customer this season, I now see what can be described as weeds thru a 12 foot wide area that I hope to speak to the service tech about soon.

This company provides a horrible service. I started using this company service about 6 months or so because I saw a few weeds in my yard. I wanted to make sure that the few weeds did not turn into a lot of weeds being in my lawn. Since using this service, I have several large patches of bare spots, and a bunch of crab grass now growing in my lawn. I have lived in my house for twenty years, and my lawn has never been in this condition until I used this service. I sent a review email to this company, and received a phone call from a gentleman representing the company. He began telling me that my yard was very dry even though we have just received a lot of rain, eluding to that as the cause of my lawn problem. I informed him that we have experienced drought in past years that have never impacted my yard like it is now after receiving their service. He then tells me that I had three different types of grass in my lawn, and the spray they used would only cause one type to survive. I informed him that this information should have been giving to me on their initial visit when I acquired their service. His reply to that was the service man who came at the initial visit is a fifteen year veteran in the industry, therefore would have informed me of this. Bottom line is that he kept coming up with reasons as to why their service was not the root cause of this issue with my lawn. He even stated that environmental conditions change is probably part of the problem as well. My reply to him was that my lawn survive environmental conditions for twenty years, so what could possibly be the environmental conditions change that would drastically impact my lawn this year when it survived severe drought conditions in previous years. The only different condition this year is that I used their service. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company and their service. I will be using all aspects of social media to ensure that no one else bamboozled by this company.

From the first contact we have received execllent service for our lawn. We receive a call to notify us before each application, which allows us to plan and manage our activities.

Turf Masters has taken the guess work out of trying to figure out how to care for our lawn. We were having trouble with weeds growing everywhere on our lawn. Since we started using Turf Masters to care for our lawn, we are no longer having problems with weeds. Our lawn looks great!

Last year I tried to tackle the weeds in my lawn by myself, long story short I failed miserably. So this year I decided to try a lawn care service and found Turf Masters. After talking with them and found out their pricing is much better than the others I decided to go with them. One of the best decisions Ive made all year. The only thing I have an issue with is that I found out around mid summer that I started to get dallisgrass (crabgrass) turns out they dont treat for dallisgrass. The next time I had an application the guy told me to use roundup to clear it up. Im an environmentally conscious person and roundup is the last thing I want to be using. The rep I spoke with initially said that the products they use are no more harmful than any household products in my home, which is another reason why I chose them. But using roundup is a little stronger than any household product. Overall I am very happy with this service, the dallisgrass issue is something I suppose Ill have to tackle on my own.

My lawn has finally started looking very good since I fired Tru Green. They (Tru Green) have been treating my zoysia lawn for 13 years. They almost killed it twice by applying two much fertilizer. Since Turf Master started treating my zoysia, it looks the best its looked since it was installed. Beautiful lawn.

We have been using Turf Masters for lawn care from the moment we moved in. Our turf grass was covered in weeds and looking unrecoverable. When we spoke with Turf Masters they told us to give them one year to repair. We did and now our lawn looks great! We have been using the service for 4 years now. The service is great! The technician will call the day before coming out, so I can prepare the yard. When finished a detailed report is briefed or left on the door. And the walk areas are cleaned of solid applications before they leave. I recommend their service to everyone that compliments or asks about the yard!

Great customer service, when I had a problem with ants they came back to re-treat my yard and called personally to let me know if I had further problems they would come back.

We have one of the worst looking lawn in the neighborhood after a year of using Turf Master. Their applications are inconsistent, you can see rows were they applied fertilizer and areas were they did not. We complained multiple times and were told they would re-apply or told that it was not their fault. WOULD NEVER LET THEM ON MY LAWN AGAIN!

I was skeptical about having someone take care of my lawn, because Ive never seen or heard of a company that gets halfway decent reviews...until I came across Turf Masters. The customer service is exceptional. These guys treat me and my family the way that any customer should want to be treated. Michael, Geoffrey, and Troy have been great to deal with, and my yard is already looking great after just two treatments. These guys are great, got them treating my lawn over a year ago. When I first started it was just weeds ugly as could be. Now it feels like a shag rug, best lawn in the neighborhood by far. Takes time, mowing twice a week helps a lot. But so worth it. The tech said to sand in thin areas or dead areas where there use to be patches of weeds & now the Bermuda is coming right through & filling in! All the techs are very experienced & nice, Troy is my favorite, such a hard worker, they all are though!

We have the best yard on our street and its completely weed free.

These guys are the most incompetent, rude and dishonest lawn service Ive ever encountered. Im not a customer, they just came to my home and sprayed my lawn with 46N fertilizer, after I had already put down my own fertilizer. My entire lawn is going to die and they refuse to even call me back to fix the problem. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT CALL THESE CHUCKLEHEADS IF YOU NEED A LAWN SERVICE!!!!!

When the guy knocked at the door trying to sell services for lawn care I was skeptical. He told me to give him one year and my yard would look like one of the best in the neighborhood. Its only been three months and my yard looks amazing. It gets better each month. We started out with lots of weeds and some bare areas and our lawn is now very full, green and most of the weeds are gone! Love Turf Masters and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful lawn!

Overall we are pleased with the service we have received from Turf Master. After a complete lawn renovation a couple of years ago (which was great by the way) things continue to look pretty good. We have a few dead spots in our fescue lawn but we have Turf Master treat for disease each summer. Our lawn is standing up well against all of the heat we are having so we are meeting most of our objectives we set.

I have prepaid this company for treatment of my lawn and I have large patches of weeds all throughout my yard. I am not satisfied. Ive even received letters from my HOA due to this problem. Update as of 8/4/16: My grass improved towards the end of last year, but this summer I have patches of weeds and crabgrass again. My neighbor is experiencing the same, using Turf Masters. If not corrected I plan to use a different company soon.

Ive been very happy with the service and results of Turf Masters in Simpsonville SC. I do still have a spot of crabgrass that I recently discussed with them and they said they would take care of it on their next visit. I like that they call a day or two ahead to tell me of their coming visit. The lawn is looking great.

Terrible experience for me. Same old jazz, told me what I wanted to hear that never did what I asked them to do. I simply wanted to talk to them when they came out. I had some areas they needed to focus on. Talked to the Branch manager, he said he was going to take care of things for me. He did zip. Find another lawn company to take care of you. They failed me.

I have never used another lawn treatment service before. I am pleased with you as my first choice for my lawn. Outside of an aggressive application of weed killer that harmed the grass around the application site(mid season), I have had no issues. Your technicians are always courteous. My bills have always been correct.

Im going on my second year using Turf Masters. I think they do a very thorough job when applying product to the grass. I used to do the fertilization and weed control on my own, but it stressed me out having to do everything at just the right time. Turf Masters knows what theyre doing and when to do it. I also appreciate talking to a human whenever I have to call the office. I dont have to go through a phone menu system just to get an answer to a question. So far, so good!

Turf Mastsers has been coming to my home for about one year. I actually have GRASS in the lawn. The weeds, clover, trash grass is almost all gone! The yard has not become the Yard of the Year yet, but it is well on its way... I must remember that Rome was not built in a day! The next time I write a review I feel sure that Turf Masters will have earned a #5 because I shall have a beautiful lawn.

****Update**** Since originally posting, the CEO has helped to clarify the situation. We have changed our original rating to 4 stars. We now believe there was some miscommunication regarding the payment and has since been addressed. Thank you for responding to our concerns. We now can recommend this company ________________________________________________________________________________ Original rating: If this review was based only on service and how my lawn looked, it would be a 5 star! However, I am discontinuing service due to them deducting a payment out 2 times (beginning of June). When asked about reimbursement, I was told a check would be mailed out around the second week of July. If this is how they do business--stealing money out of my bank--I dont want anything to do with them. They tried to just give me a credit to the account, but thats not the point. They TOOK money that I did not authorize them to take from my account and said it would take 6 weeks to be refunded. I would not recommend this company.

Service has been great. Very responsive. We had a lot of weeds and they have made several trips to try to eliminate them. Our lawn was in very bad shape when they started, but it is improving weekly.

I have 2nd greenest grass in neighbor hood. I am the only one who uses them that i know of in the neighbor hood. I pay turf masters monthly to take care of my yard and I sit and I watch the other guy with the 1st greenest yard work hard all season long.
