I hired Mike to remove my old foundation planting in my front yard and replant it all. Couldn't be happier with the results. All done in under a week and he made sure to clean up everything. Looks like I have a whole different house now. Mike is extremely knowledgable with the local plant species and what would grow best in what location. His horticultural advice and decades of experience in the industry is the kind of expertise I truly appreciated as I did not know what to replant or what would look good. Very satisfied with the results and highly recommend.

I have worked with many landscape designers in the past and I can truly say that Mike is the most impressive. When discussing the plans for the job, it was very clear that he is very knowledgeable about his craft and he spent a lot of time educating me about the plants he planned to install. Added to that is a true passion and enthusiasm for the work that he does along with 100% commitment to the total satisfaction of his customer. I worked with him on doing a total redesign of my front yard landscaping. This involved removing a lot of overgrown but still viable plants. Rather than just tossing these, he transplanted most of them to my back yard giving me the added bonus of a beautifully landscaped back yard. I was very happy with the finished product. But what really impressed me was that once the installation was completed, he didn’t just disappear. He came by regularly for several weeks after installation to be sure that both the new and transplanted plants were thriving and adjusted the watering schedule as needed. And last week, several months after the original Spring planting, he came by again and replaced a few plants that he was not happy with, ones that I thought had just died back due to the change in the season. I apologize for the long review but I thought it necessary to explain why I was so impressed with his work. I feel very confident recommending him without any reservations.

Mike did extensive landscaping for me back in 2018. He did a great job. Everything still looks beautiful and I'm very happy with the work. I recently asked him for a touch up on a dry stack wall that had settled due to recent, heavy rains. He was there within a couple of days and did the work at no charge. We started working with Mike in the late summer of 2020 for a complete "remodel" of our landscaping. It was a pretty big job, because the property hadn't had a full makeover in years. Mike met with us for an initial consult, then followed up a couple of weeks later with another in person meeting to go over his proposal. Our project included removal of numerous bushes/shrubs, transplanting numerous bushes/shrubs, removal of old concrete walk, new installation of paver walk and paver patio along with numerous new plantings and a complete mulch job. It took about 3 weeks from start to finish. He and his crew were on time, diligent and the results were fantastic. Pricing wise, we believe he is very competitive. Additionally, we just had our one year follow-up and only a few (~5%) of plants need replacing that he will handle. Would definitely recommend talking to Mike if you are seeking a landscaper! He really knows his plants! He is an owner/operator.

Hi there, I just had Design by Lee do a mid December landscaping project on our front yard. I'll have to get back with you in the spring on how it looks because most of the plantings are dormant now. I can tell you Mike is passionate about his work. He is easy to work with, and told us up front about his process and costs which is refreshing. The work was started and completed on time with no surprises. The estimate was very reasonable and I look forward to doing business with Mike again in the near future.

Michael the owner of Design by Lee, has been my landscaper for the past five years. He has so much knowledge about flowers and trees, hardscape. He knows what will flourish in this climate and soil conditions. My favorite part of my yard is the back patio that he laid in pavers, this enhanced the existing concrete patio left by the builder. For the value of work I have received, Mike came thru being on time, professional and always leaves great instructions on follow up with care of the plants.

Mike has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He really knows his stuff when it comes to hardscape and soft. We turned a drainage problem into a beautiful patio in the back and found my house behind all the overgrown bushes in the front. His knowledge and guidance on what would be best for my situation have been invaluable. He did a great job staying on schedule and keeping me informed of progress, answering all my questions and addressing my concerns. I'm looking forward to my next "excuse" to have him back to do more work.
