We had an excellent experience working with Design and Build Landscape. Lance designed our backyard beyond what we originally envisioned. He went above and beyond to make sure all of the work completed was done perfectly. He communicated and worked well with our pool installation company and the end results were amazing. He was also very patient with answering all of our many questions. His experience and expertise helped us pick out the best materials , pavers , waterfall, flowers, plants, Lighting, Pavillion, stoops, walkway, driveway everything!! He also has an excellent team of hardworking masons, landscapers, sprinkler installers who did an outstanding job. I also want to mention that his office staff was a pleasure to work with as well , so professional and courteous, helpful and nice which is very important to us especially when doing this amount of work. We are so grateful to Lance and his whole company for everything. Highly recommended them!

I contracted Design and Build Landscape to beautify my front yard and that is exactly what they accomplished. Lance provided his vision (including recommending I remove a brick border which no other landscaper recommended) and provided graphical renderings on how the front yard would look and the type of plants he would use. It was done to spec with some minor alterations which enhanced the front yard even more. The crew (more like an army) used to complete the re-design and plantings were very efficient and professional in completing the project. They are quite busy so you will need to be flexible with their scheduling. Overall, I highly recommend Lance and the Design and Build Lanscape team.

Lance and his crew were amazing. From day one when I first started getting estimates I knew Lance was different. He was on time, responsive, listened to my concerns and addressed them accordingly. His system was user friendly from email confirmations, digital estimates that allowed for acceptance or changes all the way to a rendering that he was able to get me just a few days before Christmas so I could give it to my wife as a gift. On the day of the job they showed up on time and worked throughout the day to transform my house. The designer is incredible and went over and above several times during the day to make sure we were 100% satisfied. I would recommend Lance without hesitation and I ll be using him again next year to transform my backyard.

My front yard was very plain and unattractive. Lance and his team from Design and Build created the curb appeal I was missing. Thanks to this business I have a beautiful flower garden with rocks, trees and a wide variety of annuals. The update has all my neighbors complimenting how great the house looks. When I drive up to my house it makes me so happy to see the professional design blossoming right before my eyes. I recommend this business to all my family and friends. Design and Build just completed our backyard renovation consisting of new coping around pool, an irregular bluestone pool patio (re-using stones carefully removed from our previous patio), new stoop, square bluestone patio off our home, and all new landscaping and sod. The work was done beautifully. Masonry was completed with care and attention to detail. Landscaping was competed after a brief design consultation and couldn t have been more perfect for the space. First impression of Design & Build .SOLD!!!! Lance, owner of Design & Build saw exactly the vision I had- to completely excavate and renovate our entire backyard to make it like it belongs on a magazine cover. This entire project exceedingly went over & beyond my expectations! He and his amazing crew changed our dreary backyard into a DREAMY backyard!! The day Lance came by to give us the estimate, His words exactly were we will make this into a backyard oasis! I was SOLD! And boy, They did not disappoint! I have to say, we have never seen such a harder working crew. They all work in synchronization. They worked non-stop, and everything, including demo was by hand! It was unbelievable, we were definitely impressed! It took several weeks to complete our project (well, I kept adding on more and more ideas) LOL! ;) They became part of the family to us. Even my 13 year old son looked forward to see Hector, the main foreman and the crew every day & my son was actually saddened when the work was complete since he wouldn t see them anymore. Our scope of work: created a huge fireplace surrounded by an outdoor kitchen and benches, an island to seat 10 people, a duel cascading waterfall into the pool, all complete with stone. Natural stone pavers to the entire backyard and a drain well. The landscaping with Lance s brother, Robert, did complete lighting and sprinkler system. I m picky with what I like and feel that I need to know exactly what will be installed, but I have to say, I held my OCD at bay and allowed Robert to pick out some pretty ornate specimens, trees, bushes and the perfect arrangement of flowers and it s absolutely stunning! Then we added stone to the house to create a more cozy and elegant feel. Did I mention with my OCD, I would often message Lance with questions or concerns and he would always get back to me..even after work hours or weekends. I mean, Who does that?!?! Lance is a man of his word..and is always calm and cool..a no worries type of business owner. We could not be any more grateful and thankful for our new stay-cation! For a new construction home my GCs mason also designed the hardscape and landscaping. Wasnt thrilled with their communication and masonry work so I took quotes from 5 other landscapers. I called design and build out of the blue. My wife and I are glad we did. Lance, Robert and there crew of guys are very good at what they do. There men are very nice and cleaned up any mess before they left each day. We did question a few things before and while they were working. Both Lance and Robert told us to wait and see what they put together and if we dont like something they will change it. We didnt change a thing and we couldnt be happier.

I was having a new walkway and paver patio installed. I called 3 other companies before calling Design and Build. Lance doesnt just install pavers, he gives you a design, incorporates landscaping and takes into consideration what the needs are for the space. Lance and his team went above and beyond - examples - they installed and moved the sprinklers to work with the new layout of my yard, fixed the fence so it wouldnt rub on the new walkway and cleaned up so well after the job that I didnt even know they were here. Where do I even begin? After researching several different companies, I decided to call and make an appointment with Design & Build. Not only were their online reviews glowing, but several of my friends and coworkers had worked with, and personally recommended them, so I figured I would give them a try. From the first phone call I made, to the weeks after my job was completed, I was utterly blown away with the professionalism, efficiency and sheer creative talent displayed by the owner & his team. This was a project I wanted to begin fairly quickly, so I was thrilled when Lance was able to come for an initial consultation within the week- soon after our initial meeting, he presented me with a 3D Design of the work to be done, showing every aspect of the job we had discussed, with clear and detailed photos and descriptions of all the plants he was planning to use, etc.etc. Much more than I had gotten from other companies I had come to my house. He assured me that anything I wasnt crazy about could be changed and tweaked at no additional charge, and he kept his word, changing out one of the plants my husband wasnt crazy about. We used Lance and his team to re-do our backyard. The guys were great. They turned a run of mill backyard into a resort, and at a very good price. They did not Nickel and Dime us on minor edits and adds, and were always very responsive to our calls and requests.

So happy we found Design and Build. The outside of our house was destroyed by Super Storm Sandy. Lance and his crew did an absolutely beautiful job! He answered all questions every step of the way. This company was great. We decided to have our backyard done but did not know how to design it. Lance(owner) drew up plans that were perfect for our size backyard. Work was done as promised and then some. We loved it so much we did over the landscaping and lighting in front of our house.

Lance and the entire Design and Build team were amazing from day 1. From the excellent and stress free initial meeting to go over wants and requirements, to the numerous additional design meetings. Lance brought over a wonderful large design sketch that took up most of my kitchen table and explained piece by piece to me and my wife. He worked with us around our budget and time frame. Once the project started the team was clean and professional, always cleaning up after a days work like they never were there. Once we started seeing the progress and level of details we wanted Design and Build to continue, so we added not just the front landscape design but also the entire backyard and patio. We are more than happy with our entire project and get compliments all the time on all the work that was done. Next summer i will definitely be calling Lance back to build a built in fire-pit with seating and lighting.

When looking at numerous landscape design companies, Design and Build stood out from the rest.
