My most recent experience with DeMelo Brothers Landscaping was OUTSTANDING as always! Though it was not a harsh winter, my yard required some serious, tender loving care. I knew that by contacting Rob at DeMelo Brothers Landscaping they would be up to the task and would EXCEED my expectations as they always do! As always, Rob sent another A+ team. Ann, Connie, and Cameron were prompt, extremely efficient, conscientious, caring , respectful, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and extremely organized. Cameron started the excavation around the hedges and trees and weeded to revive the mulch beds, while Ann and Connie strategically removed tangled brush, weeds and long term over growth as they pruned all of the shrubs. Rob and his crew have transformed our property in Osterville over the past year. Rob and the team here have helped my wife and I transform our property from an unkept, non-functional property into a beautiful, eye appealing property. Rob has a knack for simple, functional, yet elegant and appropriate landscape design. His designs can also be broken out over phases, so that you can do it piece by piece, as time (and money) allows. This is a long standing family business, with a true understanding of what it means to build on quality and trust.

We met with Rob in early March. We had some ideas but really were not sure what would go with the type of conditions. We have a yard that in some parts gets extreme afternoon sun and some parts that are very shaded. We wanted landscaping that would be a little more low maintenance but also have the Cape Cod look. We gave him our ideas and he came back with a plan that we were impressed with. He showed us the plant mix that he was going to install and let us know when each plant would be blooming and what we could expect. I was impressed that he really took what we said and worked off of that as a framework for the landscaping. He was cognizant of areas where grass might not work as well as it would be hard for mowing later. He focused on a few areas where he would add some focal point with either the type of planting or a specific plant. So now we have 3 focal areas: by the back porch with a hydrangea tree with red and white flowers; the front curb arrangement which has a number of different plants that maximize color in a shady area; and a planting bed by the front door. He was efficient and very quick. The whole yard was done in about 1 week. Timing was impressive. He has also been very quick with punch list items after the install.

DeMelo has been handling my landscaping for 5 years and has done an exceptional job. I especially like the job they have done with the beautiful perrennials they have arranged throughout the yard.

DeMelo Bros Landscaping Takes care of my Lawn Fertilization and does a Great Job every time.

My yard was a mess after the installation of a new septic system, and the contractor who installed the system used weed-infested grass seed over the area torn up. It looked horrible. I wanted to replace everything with sod, but Rob suggested weed killer and simply placing grass seed in the impacted area. He was right...area looks great! And, it probably saved me a fair amount of money. Great advice and execution.

We needed to replace an old septic system. Unfortunately all the walkways and existing landscaping were in the way. The septic contractor removed the old and we needed to start over with a new landscaping design. We interviewed 4 landscapers. We went with DeMello Brothers because Rob listened, questioned, made suggestions and then created a wonderful landscape design. Throughout the process which involved walls, walkways and lighting in addition to plantings, Rob would check in regularly and ask if we liked it, He really wanted us to be happy. Likewise all of the DeMello Brothers employees were caring people who were experts in their craft. They were professional, easy to work with, punctual and cleaned up before they left each day. Doing a major landscaping renovation always invalves some surprises. A global pandemic was the most unanticipated. Although the project took longer than expected to complete, Rob DeMello never gave up on it and truly cared that the end result was something special. We are so glad that we had Rob on the job.

Rob DeMelo was wonderful when assessing our needs for a new garden edging in coordination with fencing. The work was done in stages, with cobble edging around a 20 x 24 foot existing garden done first, with hard-working craftsmen constructing this stone work, and garden construction crew making interior paths with p.t. boards and crushed rock. They were careful and there was minimal disturbance to existing plants. The crew was always cheerful and hard-working. They returned after the fencing was installed to complete loam grading and new seed around the new cobble edging. Beautifully done! The whole project took a long time this year but the wait was very much worth it. Highly recommended.
