I recently purchased a Gravely mower from Smith and Sons. The customer service demonstrated by Bruce Gemmil and The owner Dan Smith was exemplary. The mower was a huge help in eating up an acre of fallen leaves over the weekend without missing a beat. If you’re in the market for any type of lawn equipment or tractor, go and see the amazing showroom at Smith and Sons!
After a couple of years of having lawn service providers perform aeration and over-seeding to try and establish my new lawn, I elected to do the work myself. I rented equipment from Smith and Sons as well as purchased seed, compost, and fertilizer. The equipment was in great condition and very easy to use. I relied on Dan's recommendation for the amount of compost as I have never top dressed a lawn before. It's been just over 3 weeks since I completed the work and I am blown away with the results.
My experience with DH Smith & Sons was fantastic. You would never have known I was buying a used tractor, they were so nice, friendly and thorough. “Danny” even took the time to go through the tractor and explain how to use it when delivered. Great experience, thank you all very much!

Just purchased my first mower from Smith and Sons. Right when I walked in I was very impressed with the building and the operation. Dan and the whole team were super invested and helpful in me selecting which mower was best for me. I can't recommend them enough.
We purchased a new Gravely zero turn mower for my son’s Landscaping business. They were incredibly thorough explaining the different mowers, options, and what would be the best for him. We came from Rhode Island because everyone told us they were the best dealership. The amount of equipment and supplies was incredible. Their entire staff is welcoming and knowledgeable without being like used car salesmen trying to pressure us. After a week of use his customers all complimented about how nice the mower striped the grass. I hate to sound like my father but this day in age it is so hard to find a company that answers their phone, greats you, and thanks you for the business. It is well worth the 90 minute ride each way! They assisted with the beautification project at the Veterans Home in Marshfield and have also assisted the Chamber! We love having these small businesses be part of the community. Jason Bellavance at DHS helped with the annual spring advice. We spent the extra money to by the cedar mulch and it lasts all year, saving money the next season. And help restoring the lawn after last year's drought. It came back better than we could have hoped. Trust these guys. It's worth dealing with someone knowledgible. They're awesome for small engine repair, too.
They charge too much for dumping brush, they told me the price after I dump it and the price was too high not good no professional

Dont waste your money buying firewood from them, the picture on the website isnt what your going to receive. They said the wood is seasoned and ready to burn. You couldnt light there wood with a gallon of gas and a box of matches. And then they say we had a lot of rain!! What a joke.

First time customer. The guys over at Smiths did and Excellent job on my Deere Rider, It is 25+ yrs old but in great shape. But she needed replacement of a lot of of worn parts, pulleys, etc. The motor was also surging and leaking valve cover gasket. My mower is now extremely quiet and smooth running! Its like a Brand New mower! Couldnt be happier.
Came in for a $10.00 filter, 5 minutes before closing, and got TREATED like I was purchasing a $10k piece of equipment!!!! Pretty Amazing Experience!!! Thanks, Again!
LOVE their mulch/loam/stone products. The layout and service has been also top notch. They recently (Aug 22?) went to minimum 1 yard purchase pricing. The 1 yard minimum change doesn t help a home owner with a pickup truck, looking to do their own work. I am wondering if this pricing is temporary given fuel costs?

Smith and Sons installed our septic. Done quickly, neatly and without any headaches and they handled the permitting. They even had it hydroseeded after so it filled in nicely. Since they have expanded more recently, we have been purchasing our mulch and had it delivered. Each time it was on time, delivered were we asked, and were billed without a problem.
Tom and I just had our septic system replaced. We cant say enough about the workers the workmanship and the perfessionalism of all involved. They work hard, quickly and aim to please to get the job done and make sure the customer is satisfied when done.

After reading these reviews I was hesitant to switch my mulch company but when I called, I spoke to Lisa, she was super friendly and very accommodating. They were able to deliver my much the next morning, bright and early. Driver was also very friendly and professional. Mulch is great quality too. I will definitely be calling back next year!
