The team at LJM are attentive, fair and reasonable guys. I personally worked with Dave on our patio project in the spring of 2024 and he ensured that we had quality customer service the entire way. Mike, the owner also came out to check on the project a few times which I thought was above and beyond! For any hardscape, wall, brick laying project --- LJM's team was amazing and handled our property wich such care and attention. I couldn't recommend them more!

Super impressed with these guys. They transformed my yard near the Quincy Credit Union into a little oasis! The team was professional and friendly. If you’re in Marshfield or nearby, don’t think twice about hiring them.

I live near Wendy’s on Plain Street, and J Michael’s team turned my boring yard into something out of a magazine. It’s beautiful now. If you’re in Marshfield, these are the guys you want to call. They know what they’re doing!

They fixed up my front yard, and it looks way better now. The grass is greener than my neighbor's, haha. There were a few delays, but they made up for it with great work. The team was super friendly and hardworking.

Man, J Michael's crew is awesome! They did my backyard patio last summer and nailed it. The design is clean, and the stonework is perfect. Every time I drive down Plain St, I’m reminded how lucky we are to have local landscapers this good in Marshfield. Totally worth it!

This company started doing the landscaping for our condo complex this year. I’m not sure if they took on a job they were not experienced enough to do or what the problem was. Literally all the did was mow the lawn and that wasn’t even done well, had a guy with a leaf blower that blow off a few walkways after mowing(only a few, most were left covered in grass clippings) and a guy with a weedwacker. We did not get mulch until the week of July 4th and it was nothing more than a dusting. The did not trim and bushes, hedges or anything. They did not pull a single weed. Our complex looks like an over grown jungle with these people being here for one season. Everything is a completely overgrown, it’s terrible that they even took money for this job. Residents were left to buy their own trimmers, blower etc so we didn’t have vines, weeds and other thing’s growing up the side of our condos. They did not send enough people for the job, I don’t think they had enough equipment. When they rented a machine to do our gutters(which I’m surprised we’re attempted) they literally knocked into my deck and took the entire leg/pole off the deck!! About a 12 ft. pole!! I definitely would not recommend them for a large place like condos with nice grounds or anyone’s with really nice yards. They could probably handle small residential yards if your not to picky how things look. But they are definitely not suited for anything more than a very small job. I don’t understand why they would take on a large job and not send the man power and everything needed. I am not even being close to picky it is a disgrace how they took care of this property.

I reached out to have sod installed fast. Do to being completely screwed by another company Michael j landscape not only did this job fast for us but did it to perfection. They are truly professionals and have been more accommodating then I would ask for. They have permanently earned our business and respect David Brandt

I retained Landscaping by J. Michael from the previous owner of my current home. After a few services, it’s become apparent that they are unprofessional and do not want to be held accountable for their mistakes. Last year, I had my sprinkler system winterized. During the winter, an outside valve burst. After contacting them, they tried coming up with multiple excuses and blamed it on lack of maintenance and that it was my fault. Mike, the owner also tried placing further blame on me by mentioning that the technician is supposed to come inside for the shut-off. Mind you, I had someone present at home during the time of the servicing, and the technician never once asked to come inside (even when Mike claims they are supposed to). I’d also like to add that the inside supply was shut-off and the spigot was drained, so there was no way water would come from inside. Mike also claimed that there are sweat connections that might deform the seals at the valves, but the connections to the components that burst are threaded, not soldered connections. They had also tried to place blame on the old backflow preventer. I understand there is wear and tear on components, but the burst valve resulted from residual water that was not properly drained, not from age. Furthermore, to ensure the water supply was not the cause of the problem, I opened the drain spigot from the supply inside my home and a minimal amount of water came out (not enough to reach the plumbing outside), which proves this is upright negligence on their behalf. Mike proposed to fix the issue for “$150”. I refused to pay for damage that they caused. After numerous attempts to remedy the problem, it is still unresolved. Mike went as far as to cancel an appointment that had been previously scheduled to diagnose the system without notifying me. In the end, I paid for an improperly performed sprinkler winterization that resulted in property damage that they have refused to repair. I would never recommend Landscaping by J. Michael for any services, as they will not take any responsibility for jobs gone wrong.
