Superior Landscape and Irrigation is a locally owned residential and commercial landscape design-build company based in Maplewood, Minnesota, and serving the greater Twin Cities Metro. Since 2004, we have been offering landscape and irrigation services - install and service. Our landscape designers will craft a custom design for our client’s outdoor living vision - from a cozy paver patio and firepit to a heated paver driveway or walkway, block and boulder retaining wall, outdoor kitchen complete with gas grill, and a wood-fired pizza oven, fire table with granite countertops, cedar pergola, bubbling rock fountain, pool and hot tub, outdoor lighting, audio and more! Great team for a recent revision to our irrigation. The team was setting new zones while the landscape and lighting team were working. Turned out perfect.

We found your website and called for an estimate and help. Jamie (in the office) was an incredible help from our first contact until the day the work was completed. She helped us navigate your schedule and ours which made it all so very easy. Additionally, Kevin who completed the project, was extremely gracious with fitting our small project into his busy responsibilities. As Criteria Architects, we have worked with Superior Landscape & Irrigation & found their work very good. Later, after competitive bidding, we hired Superior for our own home courtyard project. Up close , everyday for 2 weeks we experienced professional design input, the highest level of workmanship with total attention to the smallest details. We chose to work with Superior based on our meeting with Alan Strohbehn at the Home and Garden Show at the River Center. From that first meeting, through the design phase and to completion of the project Alan was upfront and honest. The work that was done on our new patio and wall turned out amazing. The crew was awesome to watch work, and the transformation of of our backyard was incredible. We always wanted a space you could only see in magazines, and now we have a perfect space of our own. Could not recommend Alan and the rest of the team enough. So much so that we had them come out and do a smaller project to the front of our home!

Superior takes care of plowing and irrigation for us and they do a TREMENDOUS job. Punctual and they advise to fit with in budget. Makes life easier when you dont have to worry if your lots been plowed or that your irrigation is working correctly

I have been using Superior for about a year now. They have always been responsive, and even during the busy season. Their pricing is fair and their service is fantastic. I usually have Steve Jennrich as my service tech. He has done a stellar job every time he is here, and always takes his time to ensure the repairs have been done correctly. 10/10 recommend
We used them to install our irrigation system in our backyard in Summer of 2021, during the install they clipped our electrical system to our pool and our shed. They refused to pay for the emergency electrical call to fix the pool, they promised over and over again to fix the electrical to our shed and never respond. Now in Summer of 2022 they keep sending us past due bills of the remaining half to our irrigation install when they owe us for the emergency electrical repair and fixing our electrical to our shed, all items they agreed to do via email and keep ignoring our messages and dropping the ball. I would highly recommend anyone looking to use there services to run in the other direction. They do not back up their work and do not admit their mistakes. They try to cover it up and still try and charge you for it! Buyer beware!!

My wife and I had a very positive experience with Alan and his team at Superior Landscaping. Remember that snow last October? Right in the middle of our project implementation! Alan and his team did their best to make sure that we were happy - it was a tough time and they had quite a bit of snow to deal with. The end result was nothing short of amazing - our home looks better than when we moved in - and we are very grateful to Alan for his his design input - hes got a great eye!
My wife and I dealt with Alan. The communication were very poor. It ended up costing up more just to get what we actually asked for from the beginning. We have plants and shrubs that are still within warranty but they won t get back to us to replace them. We have had nothing but troubles with trying to get them to do a proper install of the irrigation. Now they just decided not to even try to fix it or make things right. I ve tried calling the office and leaving a couple messages and haven t gotten any response. This was after trying Alan on his work cell a few times. We also referred them to our neighbors before they were 100% done with our project and now regret doing that. We had spent a total of $250k in our back yard roughly. There s a list but it does t really matter what s on it. The point is once they get their money they won t return calls or messages. Won t finish the job and won t warranty products. My next step is stopping into their office.
Just paid bill; will never use again. Had two issues. #1. Zone 1 pressure is poor - tech said it s just low water pressure and nothing can be done (it s not, I can see the water leaking up from the ground so dug and found broken pipe) and #2 sprinkler head came off - after technician came out and fixed it, I turned the system on and it popped off again. So, I dug it up and saw the tech had tried to place tape around the stripped riser. 2nd attempt tech came back 2 weeks later and actually fixed it but not before superior tried to charge an additional $84 service fee for the same service they attempted to provide the first time.

Superior Landscape is second to none! Al has a vision and his design work is amazing. His team of workers were professional, friendly, EXTREMELY hard working and did excellent work! They were always on time and worked long hard days. Very reliable. We are thrilled with the finished project. We met Alan at Superior Landscape during the winter months to design new landscaping for our front yard knowing that we may need a new sidewalk entryway to our home. Alan designed a whole new look for our front yard with shrubs, rocks, mulch, cement curbing, lighting, and included a patio paver sidewalk entry with an expanded seating area and sitting wall at the front entry way. We loved his fresh approach and signed off for the work to begin. We could not have been more pleased with the professionalism; the crew stayed at our job from start to finish with no interruptions. They worked sun up to sun down to implement the plan Alan created. Final product is BEAUTIFUL. We are so very pleased with the whole process and our new, beautiful yard. Can t say enough about Superior!! We use them for snow blowing services and this is the best decision we made. They are prompt and respectful and very responsive! I submitted a ticket that was NOT and emergency but they treated it as if it was! They were there within 1/2 hour and cleared out city plowed in driveway! Impressive! Highly recommend!!!!

I think they are priced a bit high for irrigation blow out. But it is just so simple and they are reliable that I dont think Ill ever change it up. A+ folks

Had them out for service work on our sprinkler heads in 4 of our zones. After replacing and updating several of the heads everything was back to solid and stable operation at a fair price. Will be using them again for future services.
