If I could give zero stars I would. I had a very disappointing experience with VM Drainage & Erosion. The drainage issues I was dealing with were not resolved properly, and the service was far below my expectations. First, the work itself was subpar. The team arrived late and seemed unprepared, leading to delays and further complications. Despite several promises, the issue was not fully addressed, and I had to call them back multiple times to correct things. Additionally, I was very unhappy with the customer service. I had interactions with the manager, Karina Simpson, who unfortunately was unhelpful and unresponsive. I expected professionalism and clear communication, but instead, I received vague answers and delays in getting updates. It s frustrating to deal with a company that doesn t seem to care about its customers. I won t be using them again and wouldn t recommend them to others.

Great company! Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and theyve got a hard working crew that gets it done quick. Verified, licensed and insured. Look forward to doing business with them again on future projects.

VM Drainage has completed several projects to completely redesign and fix my entire backyard drainage problems. They have always been prompt and professional, and the results are excellent.

this is the second time we have used VM Drainage and Erosion, and they did not disappoint. They built a retaining wall during extreme heat conditions, putting in extremely long days for over a week. The end result looks great. Everyone was courteous and the clean up was great. They even fixed the part of the lawn that was damaged during the transport of heavy stones and bricks. Thank you!

OMG these guys are awesome. I used to have draining issues in my back yard. When it rains or when I turn on my sprinkler, it would stay wet for up to couple days after. Wet mud and often time small puddle of water would form. VM Drainage came in, do their thing and now I have no more issues. Dry like a desert in the backyard the following day after a heavy rain. I am extremely satisfied. It took them about 3 days to do the work to install a French drain plus couple other things. The cost wasn t cheap but reasonable. They were willing to negotiate with me on the cost of the whole system. The whole experience was great. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family from now on. I am very pleased of the work VM Drainage did in my house. We had water leak in the basement and the solution was to have a French drains in the back and side yard as well as other underground pipes from the sump pump and a downspout. I asked VM Drainage & Erosion Solution along with two other name brand larger companies to propose a repair to water seepage in the floor of our finished basement. The two larger companies both attempted to sell massive, costly solutions that would have left the basement basically unfinished at the end of their work. Jose from VM Drainage proposed a solution to fix the problem (French drain and sump pump system), similar to what the others proposed, but in a way that was practical, cost effective, and left the basement largely intact as it was before he started. Jose communicated very clearly as to how he planned to approach the project and personally supervised and worked on the project along with his team. He and his team were extremely professional, prompt, respectful of our property, very focused on the job at hand, and spent considerable time at the end of the job cleaning the project site and leaving it spotless. I highly recommend VM Drainage & Erosion Solution to you. I have no doubt that no matter the type of project, Jose and his team will do an excellent job.

We had a crack in our basement wall that allowed water to leak into the basement when it rained. The VM Drainage crew repaired the leak and then built up the ground near the house so future rainwater would drain away. The real herculean effort came when they had to dig down the outside wall of the basement in order to fix the crack. They encountered very large chunks of concrete that had been buried underground by the builder. It took some time and a lot of muscle to extract all the concrete, but they did it, and the results were beyond my expectations. The leak is gone. The drainage issue has been fixed. Life is good.

Baltazar and his team did a great job helping me with a multi-family rental property I have in Maclaren Va. We hired this company last year to install an underground drainage system in our backyard, I was asked at the time to give a review but didn t want to because I had not yet seen how the drain would work. A year later, I am here to say the drain works perfectly and I couldn t be more satisfied with the services provided. We successfully got through all four seasons without a swamp in our backyard. I give this company 5 stars.

Wonderful company that does great work! They were the best! I thought I would have so much work to get done with my new home. Jose tempered my expectations and took care of us under our budget and quickly.

I had a significant amount of standing water in my yard so I called VM Drainage to install a French drain to alleviate the issue. They had to dig a trench about 120 long to carry the water away. I had also removed around 30 trees and needed 20 tons of dirt moved from my front yard to the back, graded, and then spread with grass seed/straw. Leo and team were on time both days, worked efficiently and their work is incredibly neat. They are truly drainage professionals. I thought the job was a little pricy at first but in the end it was well worth it. If you have drainage problems do yourself a favor and call VM.

I cannot recommend VM higher. I had issues with flooding in my backyard during heavy rains. VM listened to my concerns, devised a workable solution, removed the old non-working culvert, and did a very professional installation of an overflow pipe and three French drains. I used to get inches of water pooling under my deck and now theres barely a puddle. Their communication was excellent and responsive. I am very satisfied with their work and will definitely work with them again.

First let me start by saying that VM Drainage is one of the best companies. We had a Big issue with water leaking into our basement. We had vm drainage waterproof our fountion. This project was completed back in March and we have not had any water leaking into our basement. We are truly greatful to VM Drainage. We would totally use Vm drainage again. Thank You VM Drainage.

STAY FAR AWAY. VM Drainage is dishonest, unprofessional, and has extremely low quality workmahship. I hired VM Drainage to do replace my sump pump with a new pump with battery backup and to install a new sump basin cover for a total cost of $2,100. They scheduled the work for 7/28/22, and I mailed a check for 50% of th cost as a deposit. On the day of 7/28 I get a call from Susan Ruiz informing me that they were not able to find a pump and therefore had to reschedule for another day. In other words, they waited until the day of the installation to look for a new pump. So we reschedule for 8/13. On the day of 8/13 I get a call around 10AM saying that someone will be by around noon to do the work. Noon rolls around and nobody shows up. I call and Jose, a technician with VM Draingage, tells me that someone should be there already, and if they werent that theyd be there soon. At 1:30PM, a technician finally arrives to do the pump replacement. After a few hours he finishes, and before he leaves I inspect the work and notice that he did not install the basin cover. He calls Jose (his supervisor) because he didnt believe me when I told him that I paid to have a new cover installed. Jose confirms that I indeed paid to have a new cover installed, and the technician tells me that he would come by another day and then left. A few hours after he leaves, I notice that the battery backup system is flashing and the alarm is sounding. I then call VM Drainage again to ask why it was beeping, and Jose tells me the guy probably didnt know what he was doing and that he would come by the next morning at 8AM to install the cover and re-install the pump. Based on these context clues, it would seem that VM Drainage subcontracted this job out to some stranger that didnt know what he was doing. The next morning, I call Jose to see where he was because he did not show up at 8AM as he said he would. He sends me a text saying he would not be able to come by due to an unforeseen event and that he would come by at 2PM instead. By 3PM, I call and text again, but to no avail. Eventually Jose texts me back saying sorry I forgot I was supposed to get to you. VM Drainage treated me with the most utter disrespect and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Stay far far away. UPDATE 8/16/2022: After writing this review, VM Drainage reached out to me to ask how they could redress their mistakes. I asked for a refund and to reinstall my original pump since the new one they installed didnt fit in my basin and they agreed to both requests. Jose came out and promptly reinstalled the original pump and provided me with my refunded deposit. Updating my review from 1 star to 2 stars for their promptness.

VM Drainage did an exceptional job with our flagstone patio and retaining wall project. Leo s team did a great job with showing up on time, and delivering exactly what we went over in the estimate. They gave us a competitive price and we re happy we chose to go with them.

We were extremely impressed with our entire experience with VM Drainage and Erosion. We hired them to do some sodding, regrading, stump removal and tree trimming. They got the work done super fast and at a competitive price. We also really appreciated their professionalism and responsiveness when we needed some follow up work done. We had VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions come to service my property after our yard started to flood during heavy rains. Leo, the estimator, walked me through everything and explained the process thoroughly. After interviewing the other bidders, we selected VM to perform the work. They proposed installing a trenched French drain system with connected downspouts and sump pump discharge. A dry creek bed would be installed to catch any runoff from a hill on our backyard. Two downspouts in front of our home would have pop up drains installed to redirect water away from our driveway and foundation. VM would install flagstone pavers as a walking path around the yard and river stone elsewhere above an erosion control fabric. They drew up a sketch and provided sample photos of their work to help gain HOA approval. The project itself was supposed to take three or four days. Before starting work, Leo walked me through the process and made sure everything was installed according to the project specifications. He made sure I would be satisfied before the project would be considered complete. Leo was in constant contact and could be reached via phone or text. He responded to requests (like moving a pop up drain slightly to ensure it didnt go onto my neighbors property) very quickly. They also laid grass seed or sod where needed. There was an issue during the install that required a repair to our irrigation system that VM could not fix on their own (severed control cable). This delayed the project by about a week or so. VM stayed true to the project, insisted that they would fully pay for the repairs--and they did--and the process was extremely easy. Their staff were excellent, professional, and kept the work area clean and safe throughout. They even installed a couple extra pavers at my request to make it easier to walk onto the drainage area and reburied any cables that were exposed during the dig. All in all I was happy to hire them despite the hiccup and would recommend them to others. Simply fantastic job.

Very pleased with VM Drainage. The team installed a french drain along our back and side yard. This solution has greatly improved our previous water issues/soggy backyard and the overlaying rocks look great as well! We also had the team replace a large concrete section of our driveway. During each project, the team was courteous of the property and cleaned up the area well. Leo did a great job on the recommendations and estimates, and provided clear and concise explanations/updates each work day. VM Drainage is very responsive on updates and questions through phone calls or emails (thanks Nathalia and Leo)! Highly recommend for french drain solutions and concrete placement!

Up until May of 2019 my backyard sucked when it rained. It remained wet and swampy for days. You couldn t enjoy it. I had looked into solutions from five or six companies. Prices ranged from $5k - $20k. I m not a technical person on these matters, but most of the plans made no sense. VM was the only one who pointed out where the water was coming from (neighboring yard rundown (very hard to tell)), how to divert it, and drain whatever was left. The price was for just under $10k, and that got us a bioswale/rock garden along the problem area fence line, two drain lines with pop-up spout on each side lot line from the rear to the front curb, two drains in the backyard, tied the sump into it as well. Attaching photos of what my yard used to look like. All I can say now is that my yard is puddle/water accumulation free when it rains. Heavy downpours create mini-geysers in the front pop-up drains because of the amount of water being drained. UPDATE: the last photos, which have leaves on the trees is done during a rainfall after the work. Notice no water accumulation.

I am a little late posting this review, but wanted to share my wonderful experience with VM Drainage & Erosion Solution. Leo and team were amazing to work with. They were very hard working, friendly, accommodating and fair. They completed the yard grading and drainage work as scheduled and came back immediately when I experienced an issue with the grading and resolved it right away. I would highly recommend this local, family owned company and look forward to using their services again for my upcoming projects.

I would like to recognize the construction team that was sent by V. M Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC under the supervision of Dave Robey. We asked Mr. Robey to explain to the different options to resolve the erosion problem that we ve had in our backyard for years. He explained all options and he used calibrated equipment to calculate the ground inclination to confirm to us that his proposal work would transfer all the rain water away into the street and therefore the soil erosion problem would be minimized. He also prepared a schematic diagram showing three water collection spots, the location of the PVC pipes and the inter connection of the house downspout into this pipeline . We had tried mulch, planting grass, pachysandras and putting rocks with no success in preventing soil erosion in our backyard. In my opinion, V M Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC under the supervision of Dave Robey and his crew (Leo, Kevin and Isaias) have transformed my backyard into nice area with no water drainage problems. They do high quality work! V. M Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC, your staff is very reliable and responsible and delivered top quality work. Completely unprofessional. Had an appointment scheduled for a bid earlier this week that had been on the books for weeks. There was apparently some mix-up with the time so I had to reschedule. They then rebooked us for tonight at 5 p.m. I rearranged my schedule to make sure I could accommodate this second appointment and they never showed. Only upon my calling to notify them did they become aware that their contractor missed the appointment. Natalie, the manager, provided excuse after excuse. Absolutely no concern for her clients and really did not seem to be bothered by the fact that they inconvenienced us twice. Apparently business is good enough to blow off potential clients--good luck with that in the future... Ill be sure to let others know about this extremely unprofessional and discourteous conduct.

We have used V and M the last 2 years for installation of French drains around the perimeter of my patio and yard. This included a stone edging and a whole yard sodding . They are the best and do all work by hand taking great care of your property. I will continue to use them in the future.

I had them design and install a drainage system for my steeply sloping yard that was pooling behind the house. After a slight scheduling snafu, they did a great and quick job, it looks and works great.

Contracted for a gravel pad to place a small shed, and while the wood framing is square, its anything but level. Unfortunately, I didnt realize this until our shed had already arrived. When hanging drywall, we found more than a two inch drop from back to front! So, the crew they hired botched the job, and even tried to get a check made out to a random name from us on their way out. Not a good look, and no... I wont be calling again.

We bought a house that is about 50 years old. As such, the backyard had settled a bit and water pooled there. It also pooled around the foundation. So, we had VM Drainage come out and rectify the issue. They did a great job fixing the issue, filling in the sunken areas and creating a natural slope to the yard so that it flows away from the house. They then reseeded the lawn (which is coming along nicely) and made sure everything was back to where it should be. The only hiccup was that they incidentally cut our neighbors Internet line, but they were very responsive and had the cable company out the same day to take care of it. I was very impressed with their work and would highly recommend them.

I contracted VM Drainage & Erosion Solutions to solve an erosion problem on a hill behind my house. The work consisted creating a berm and swale 85 in length and installing two 18x18 commercial catch basins connecting to buried 6 ADS pipes. The work performed by Jose and his crew was excellent. We had a driveway drainage issue. VM installed a driveway drain and did a great job. They had to bury a pipe in the front yard and when they were done it looked great. He came out for a second site visit, give us a another very reasonable estimate, and with his crew installed a drainage system. They performed an elaborate job in four hours for exactly the dollars estimated. Just a few days later, we experienced a gigantic rain storm and the new system was our superhero! The VM team did an amazing job with this project, start to finish. Jose was really knowledgeable and professional. I will recommend to friends, neighbors, and contacts. The team adapted to a severely clogged storm drain. They always had a plan A, B, C in order to solve my outdoor standing water issues related to an active sump discharge and poor yard drainage. The team ultimately was so thorough they found a working buried storm drain pipe, and they successfully connected my sump discharge to carry water away from my home and into a proper drainage area. Project was done in one day despite a few setbacks related to my old property.

The quality of the work is outstanding. It I didnt know where they dug the ditches to put in the 50 ft drain piping I would have walked past. They filled in the dutch and put our sod back on top, so I could barely tell the ground was disturbed. Id use them again.

We hired VM Drainage to solve a couple of problems related to water redirection from the roof. A small retaining wall was needed on one side of the house with build up of dirt and decoration with river rock. Also, we redirected downspouts through pipes VM buried underground for several feet. VM did this work with a crew of 5 in short order and even replanted grass seed. Nothing left for us to do except water the new grass. Everyone was great, some even carried bags of mulch to help with a flower bed that got disturbed. Not a single plant was lost. These guys worked with gusto the entire time, including the foreman, Jose. Couldnt be happier with the work.

I would like to share comments about the work performed at my home by VM Drainage on 3 July 2019. We had drainage issues surrounding three sides of our property and wanted to get rid of the excess water around our foundation. The personnel from VM Drainage took the time needed to perform the work right the first time. They made sure the area was clean and inspected once they complete the work. I highly recommend them as a service provider to perform drain work for any home. They provided exceptional customer service and worked beyond the standard hours needed, especially considering the 4th of July was quickly approaching, to complete the job. They were courteous and professional and if we ever need this type of work performed again in the near future, we will definitely contact them. Thank you VM Drainage!

I was fortunate to get paired with Adrian as our project manager. Adrian ensured that his team did the work right and surprised and delighted with some small details. I live in Reston and we have some pretty strict design guidelines; downspouts matching trim color, gravel color, mulch type, etc. Because our downspout had to be painted a certain color I told Adrian I would handle it myself after they finished. Adrian had his team color match the trim and painted the downspout outside of the original scope of work. That was a small example of about a half dozen times Adrian chose to do things the right way over the easy way. The biggest was completely redoing the PVC drainage work when they realized the slope was slightly less than their standard. The work done by VM Drainage and Erosion Solutions was done professionally. The installation of the drain pipes was completed during one of the wettest Springs on record. All sod was carefully removed and replaced with outstanding cleanup. I recommend this company without reservation.

Just had a french drain installed, excellent work by Oscar and his crew. Their estimate was at least half of the other estimates I recieved but the work was done quickly and very professionally.
