TJ's Snow Removal and Landscaping in Madison

TJs Snow Removal has been a great help to use for shoveling, lawn moving, and other landscaping chores. We highly recommend them for your household's needs.

We hired TJs to remove our snow during the 2023-24 season. They were prompt and did an *ok* job. We had minor complaints (they didn't plow the full width of the driveway making it challenging to get in/out and they also stopped shoveling our back stairs). The real issue though was that they were unresponsive and never acknowledged our feedback. Despite the minor issues we still found them to be reliable enough and were planning to renew. However, despite mailing us a letter over a month ago saying they wanted to renew, they have not responded to our attempts at renewing. We emailed, called, texted, and filled out the form on their website. After one of our initial contact attempts he did return our phone call and said he would swing by to leave an updated quote in the next few days. Weeks later we have not heard back despite attempting to call them multiple times. Edit: Based on TJ’s response I am adding some photos to the review. In addition to ignoring the 2 emails we sent last year raising some quality concerns, they never responded to an email asking about gutter services or our initial email in June asking to get on their list for this season. On 8/27 we received a letter in the mail (see picture) that said they would not have as much capacity last year. This letter is largely what drove our attempts at reaching out because we wanted to confirm we had a spot. Despite apparently attempting to stop over, they never actually communicated that and did not respond to our numerous attempts to contact them. We would have been more than fine waiting weeks (or months) for a quote if they had communicated clearly with us and confirmed that we were on their list.

TJ’s did an incredible job putting in new sod last fall at our home in Monona! We had a large tree removed and needed to level the yard and install sod throughout with some edging and it turned out incredible. It’s an entirely new space for us to use! Highly recommend!

TJ’s is terrific. They delivered and spread 25 cubic yards of mulch - it’s a lot! - after doing a spring cleanup and removing a stump. All in less than a day. Very fair pricing. Excellent attention to detail. We’ll be working with them again in the future.

I love TJ’s snow removal teams! When it snows during the night we wake up to find our driveway, sidewalks and steps already cleared. They’re so efficient! One person snowplows our driveway and sidewalk, while two others shovel the steps and clean up after the snowblower. They’re done and gone quickly, usually before our neighbors have started clearing their own snow. And it’s a good feeling knowing that even if we’re out of town, our sidewalks are being cleared in our absence. Thanks guys!

My husband and I were impressed at how quickly they were able to start on the project and even more impressed with how quickly it was done! Josh and the rest of the team are clearly quality focused and we're excited to finally have a beautiful yard!
