They did their job with aerating our lawn. One of the sprinkler heads was damaged & they promptly fixed it.

Big Lakes did a fall cleanup for us. Shrubs were trimmed as requested and all trimming was cleaned up. They showed up promptly and we were very satisfied with the quality of the work performed and the price.

Beware- if you have issues with this company they will NEVER return any of your calls. Today makes SIX times I was told someone was going to look into something and get back with me and never did. Last week I was promise a refund for various issues, miscommunication and lack of follow up or attention to detail. and instead of a refund I was charged for another cut that we didnt get. As long as you dont need anyone to return a call or actually do what they tell you, you should be good!

Earlier this week I had Big Lakes do Core Aeration to my lawn. Kody came out on the expected day and performed the job. He even took the time to talk to me, which I appreciated.

Cody was very courteous and took time to explain what he was going to to and asked me if I had any questions. He did a really nice job and even spread some lawn seed where it was needed.

I ve been with Big Lakes Lawn Care for three years. They are the fourth company I ve tried; two big name companies were awful; the other two local mom and pop shops were ok, but they folded. Big Lakes Lawn Care is very competitive on price and the work they do is first class. They are a one stop for all your maintenance, fertilizer, spraying, landscaping, etc. I use all their services and couldn t be happier. The several tons of stone I recently purchased looks beautiful; drive by my house and take a look. If I do have any issue, they take care of it in a timely fashion. A shoutout to Keaton at Big Lakes Lawn Care. He and his Team take care of me.

Tried to get a quote for some French drains and it took 21 days and a email and a phone call to finally get one. then I had a question because the quote was missing services I requested and no one can get back with me. I will be going to another company who wants money. And to your response the estimator called me at 9am I called him back at noon and left a message and no response and I emailed the salesman and got no reply soooo yeah 21 days and cant get anyone to get back to me.

I am very happy with the service i received and the guys that came out to do it were so polite and respectful, I couldn t ask for a better crew!! Thank you so much Pablo and Caesar you guys did awesome !!!

Ive been a customer of Big Lakes for several years now. I realize at the beginning of the season there are errors made. My lawn was cut the other day but somehow they forgot to weed whip/edge. I called the office and the next day they came out to correct the issues. I was very impressed that Mike G. went beyond the issues I called about...... he also recut my lawn as he said it looked like it was cut high. I really appreciate the attention he gave. So impressed that I asked him his name so I could write this review.

Last week, Chester and Liam came to cut our lawn. After doing so, they asked me for more instructions on how to cut and where to cut. Not having a fence in our front yard, the property boundary can be confusing. I was impressed by the fact they asked. They went the extra mile in caring for my lawn. Good job guys.

But Mike, who I want to add was working alone, did an outstanding job disbursing all the clumps and insuring that we ended up with a nice even cut. I had an awful experience with them and cannot recommend their services. I contracted them to tear down my old lawn, add new topsoil, and reseed the entire yard based on a quote they provided. However, the results were far below expectations. The crew they sent hardly put down any new topsoil or seed, leaving the lawn full of unsightly bare patches. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to charge me more than the original agreed-upon price. When I called the office to address these issues, I spoke with a rude and unprofessional man named Paul. Rather than trying to make things right, he yelled at me and blamed me for the problem, claiming they had underestimated the quote. His solution was to charge me even more money to fix their own shoddy work. After heated back-and-forth, they grudgingly agreed to add a bit more soil and seed. However, this made minimal difference, and the lawn still grew in patchily. I ended up having to buy additional materials myself to finish the job properly. The quality of work was unacceptable, the customer service was atrocious, and Paul in particular was terrible at communicating with clients. He seemed more concerned about squeezing extra money out of me than delivering what was promised. I strongly advise against hiring them for any landscaping needs. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and incompetent. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable company that stands behind their quotes and work.

First time using big lakes, Darius and Devante were my cut guys and they are very approachable and very receptive about how we would like to see our lawn addressed. They performed a fabulous lawn service today. Thank you guys, great job !!!!!

First time having a professional lawn service and it shows! My lawn looks like a golf course perfectly manicured! Bany did a great job with attention to detail, even avoiding the Killdeer nested in my driveway gravel! My fences were resecured appropriately which is important due to my large dogs. Everyone I talk to from this company whether in person or by phone is super cheerful friendly and they are a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend them!

These guys are the snow removal contractors for our neighborhood and are pretty horrible. Pretty much after every snow event the neighborhood is an ice rink from them not plowing on time. The whole neighborhood is pissed and keeps complaining to the management company, and the story keeps repeating. Also, these 5 star reviews are interesting, with many of the reviewers not having given more than a few reviews from their account. Response to business: let s not forget the facts here that y all showed up way way late after the snow stopped. You guys always have excuses. What about the pile of snow you leave in front of everyone s driveway? What about the strip between Deneweth and strawberry farms y all treated and the grass died shortly thereafter? There was a 75year old in the sub who couldn t get out over the pile y all left in front of his driveway. And please don t keep telling contact us, contact them etc. Nobody has time to spend hours following up on the work y all do each time (there are still at least two dozen complaints from just your 1 snow removal service this season. When we pay, we expect a job well done. Just accept and improve your service.

I hurt my back last summer and needed to find a lawn care company mid-season. Tried calling various places, and no one would call back. Called Big Lakes, they answered the phone right away, added me to their schedule and came out that same day to do the 1st cutting. They have done an excellent job at keeping the clippings out of my mulch beds and the lawn is looking very nice. I will keep them in 2023 to see if its time for me to retire from caring for my own lawn.

Haven t always had the best experiences with them as there have been some hiccups especially with snow removal however when I contacted the company they took my concerns seriously and eventually everything was fixed. I use them for grass cutting and snow removal. They also did some landscaping in the front of the houses and I was pleased with the results.

Hired Big Lakes August 2022 for landscape work underground drainage and shrub removal.They did everything and more Very satisfied!!! This year had some basement leaking by one of the downspouts where they added underground drainage so I called them thinking maybe the drainage tube was leaking. Conner came out and evaluated within the hour. No leak in drainage tube but I had low spot next to house. Very next day they came out extending the drain tile all the way to rear rainwater/ sewer drain, built up dirt along rear of house and put down grass seed where needed. All for No Charge. I can honestly say I ve never had better customer service than what Great Lakes provided. No excuses no blame game they just wanted to back up the work they did last year even though it appears they had no liability in this matter This is what customer service is all about! When needed I will be calling Great Lakes Landscaping for any landscaping needs. Thanks again to Chester, Connor and the crew that came out!!

Big Lakes just did a Spring cleanup for us. They did a fantastic job. They did more than I expected! Our yard looks great. The workers were professional and answered any questions that I had.

These guys kept their promise, showed up on time, and did a remarkable job on my backyard swamp mess! Bushes, small trees had to be removed in an approx 10 x 70 foot area. Well done guys, kudos to Casey and helpers!

Charged me for a job that I had to do myself because they came to my house a week later and billed me for the job. Invoice had wrong date of service. Owner of company called me, and I was able to work everything out and get a refund.

Big Lakes has been taking care of my lawn for several years now. They are always on time and if there is a weather delay, they are on top of it! They are always very prompt to answer any questions we may have. I highly recommend them.

I couldnt be happier with the services from Big Lakes, we moved into a new house in December of 2021. I used Big Lakes for basically everything, sod, irrigation, landscaping and a nice beach on our pond. The results speak for themselves.

I was trying this company again after stopping service from lawn getting burned last time. My lawn was fried after their 2nd fertilizer application yet again. The only fix by the technician that contacted me at first was to water 3 times daily until the color returns. Water is expensive in my area. I did and it still hasn t fully coming back (still not in great shape). Only somewhat better, there are still some dead spots. At least they refund my application. Not sure how I will proceed moving forward. Waiting to see how next application will do.

Dont Finish The job

Nick came out to see the weeds and checked for grubs . He was able to identify the tough weeds that were not killed by previous applications . He applied weed and grub killer as well as a fertilizer . My lawn look very much improved . Thank you Nick for taking time and walking my yard with me .

Called twice for a quote on having my landscaping trimmed and they wont call you back.

I live in Strawberry Fields Subdivision. The last few weeks Ive noticed how nice everything looks! Terry even stopped so I could go by. Such polite workers. Great job guys!

Avoid this company at all costs. Installation quality is sub-par and they do not take responsibility for damages they cause. Contracted this company to redirect water away from my front porch (and home). Took three call-backs after they claimed the work was done to actually get the job finished (corrugated pipe was not sleeved, drain outlets were *higher* than the drains - so water was coming in where it was supposed to be going out) Additionally, they subcontracted out part of the job and the subcontractors that they hired broke my front window with a hammer. They claimed they were going to get my window fixed and then ghosted me.

I ve already completed this survey.

Very un happy it took six week to get the lawn guys to do the proper job on my lawn. Out of the three months of them cutting my grass had to call the office at least 8 time to get them to do it right. Had them come out to to trim the hedges did a bad job on the trimming left my house with it not being completed thinking it was two separate houses. Left all the waste from the hedges all over the top of the hedges on the ground did not clean up after they were done. Had to call the office twice for that and they never did finish up what they were supposed to do correctly the excuse I got is the guy was from Guatemala and thought it was two houses. And then when I call them back about the hedges which was a few weeks later just got that Im not a good fit for their company the fact is they just dont have the employees like everyone else in business to do the job correctly. The office staff was very friendly and helpful but the problem is I had to call so many times I became the problem customer it was very unfortunate this is the way it worked out but I always goes to say I will just have to find someone else

My advice is to RUN! I have never dealt with a company before who has such poor communication. Not with just the customers but with in the business. It took almost 2 weeks of messages left with office, voice mails and emails, I even left message with owner, to get someone out to look at and to repair my new sod which they had cut at 1 week ( they were aware new sod had been installed prior but no one got the message or email). The person who originally was suppose to get back to me the day my new sod was ruined came out 3 weeks later. This was after the repair which was then cut again 3 days later! After several other mistakes I had to let them go. edit: What repairs then did your company do if there wasn t any damage?

The crew came to clear low limbs from 12 trees. They worked fast, cleaned up everything near them even other debree they hadnt caused. They raked up fallen apples... lots of them. So pleasant and polite. Eye contact and smiles all day long. All set up from a quick chat with Nick while he was here. What a great crew. Do yourself a favor, just use these guys.

Unprofessional and overpriced. Had the fertilizer & weed control program. The operator left a preprinted tag on the front door before the application saying it was application 3 etc. Never a comment or advice on the weeds that got worse every month. Many times the operator would ride his overweight machine on our small yard making one circle and then load it back on his truck. Probably 20%+ of the yard never received treatment. The weight of the operator and machine made deep ruts in the yard. The chemicals were ineffective and the yard got worse every month. Unfortunately Ive had to change my review. I initially put 5 out of 5 after being asked in person to leave the review while mulch was being installed and felt pressured but I hoped they would still do a good job so I went through with it (all the reviews that mention names are other people being asked on the spot for a review before the job is done). Unfortunately Ive had nothing but issues with this company. They constantly skip over duties, are rude, and do a subpar job, skipping over many of their responsibilities. Theyve killed all the grass around my perimeter from weed whacking too low, they tore up my backyard with the tires on their commercial mower because they dont wait for the ground to dry after raining, and every time Ive paid to have them do a fall or spring cleanup they leave sticks everywhere on the ground, they dont get the leaves around the fence or bushes, they blow debris into my neighbors yard who has complained multiple times, and they wont admit to shotty work. Sometimes theres an excuse, sometimes they dont acknowledge the issue. Ive asked them to notify me in advance of them showing up so I can have my yard in order for them and they dont. They dont stick to a schedule and I understand the weather can delay things but if you want my yard ship shape for your giant commercial mower to tear up then at least have the decency of giving me a 24 hour notice. Theyll cancel the job half way through because theres a ten pound childs toy in the grass, or your dog pooped, and still expect full payment. All and all theres a few things I hope they improve. My advice to anyone using them is dont pay for their add ons. They wont remember to trim your bushes unless you constantly remind them, their mosquito and pest control are only around the perimeter of your property and do absolutely nothing but cost a fortune, dont pay the $15 extra a job for them to weed whack the cracks in your driveway (theyll skip it half the time and normally this is something a company does for free, its just part of doing the full job. I worked in landscaping). Dont pay for spring or fall cleanup, theyll just cut your grass. Lastly, dont get mulch installed, theyll convince you a weed barrier doesnt work because theyre too lazy to install them, and your flower beds will get out of control. Please avoid this place. See the overwhelmingly good reviews as a red flag that these reviews are coerced. Its not worth it, go with a company that has a larger presence and not operated out of some guys house. When you pay a company to do a job you expect an honest and full of job done without having to constantly remind them to do their job. Im not paid to be your manager, figure it out!

This was my first time using this company, and overall it wasn t a very good experience. I scheduled an Aeration with 3 pounds of grass seed as part of their fall special. On the day of service, the guy came out and sat For over 30 minutes doing nothing. When he finally started the work, he completed the aeration, but did not check prior to starting about any possible underground lines. When it came time to do the seeding, he did it at the same time as the aeration, and barely laid any seed down. I was to get 3 pounds and he used a pound if that. I was very disappointed to see the lack of seeding and canceled all remaining services After emails and phone calls were not answered. Unknown if I would recommend this service to anyone else at this time.

The two gentlemen that worked on the job were great. They were very professional and worked very hard. When they were done, they made sure that every was picked up. Great work.

Been going with these guys for going on 8 months, my advice is to RUN. RUN FAST AND FAR. This place is very ignorant, they lack communication with they crew leads on the things I need done around my house. I asked a guy named Dwight to take care of the salt on my driveway, the guy sat there for 30 minutes on his phone! It s ridiculous, I called the office, I spoke to David, and David was blatantly rude and ignorant, to the point where he hung up on my face. I don t advise this place AT ALL!

Worst snow removal ever guy was going over the speed limit while plowing (he admitted he was) didn t even consider that it s illegal to block driveways in. And told me to stop throwing snow balls at his equipment. What he thought was a snow ball was him hitting my hand with his mirror as I was trying to wave him down to ask him to stop driving in circles for an hour and spraying our cars with sloppy salt snow mixture Reply Edit: I wasn t hanging my hand out into the road I was standing in the road. Are you implying I should have stood in the middle of the road for the truck to stop? And it s not like he was plowing a major road so he could of taken the time he took to try to move the water of the road to put the snow in front of each house instead of blocking driveway (I ve seen it before not hard) also how would an emergency vehicle get in? That s why you can t block driveways also put a pile of snow by a fire hydrant so

Mike G and crew just did a spring clean up for me today, and I was really pleased. They cleaned up all the debris, leaves, branches etc, and hauled it all away for me. They did a great job, and were very professional and nice guys! I highly recommend Big Lakes Lawncare.

We hired Big Lakes to aerate our yard this month and Luke did an absolutely fantastic job. He explained everything and the quality of his work was great and he even threw a little extra seed on some problem areas for us. Will definitely be using them again! (5/9/22) We hired Big Lakes for another landscaping project and again everything looks amazing. They completely revamped our entire front of the house landscaping and leveled/sodded the whole yard. Steven & Casey did the vast majority of the project and they very friendly, walked me through some issues, and extremely professional. Will most certainly use them for any additional projects. We hired Big Lakes for a backyard grade repair with additional landscaping bed installation around our a/c unit and between our fence gate and patio in May 2022. The 2 man crew was great and they worked hard starting mid-morning and were done by late afternoon. Everything looked great and is still holding up. The flowers and plants look prettier than I imagined they would. Would definitely recommend and will consider their services again the future should we have a need for it, which I am sure we will.

I started using Big Lakes Lawncare LLC this spring. I let the company know about a couple things with the lawn mowing. Getting much better. Today Big Lakes removed some shrubs and installed new ones. I am very happy. Exceeded my expectations. Austin and Casey did a great job. Very easy to communicate with. I was so pleased that I was home when they arrived. Austin and I agreed that it is hard to read what you are supposed to do without them hearing from the homeowner about what that description on paper means. Great job Austin and Casey you went above and beyond and made me a very happy senior citizen.

I went with this service because they had pretty good reviews. However I noticed that a lot of their work is subcontracted and those people changed over a lot. Each time I would notice a drop in quality and I would have to go through an entire cycle of getting things cleared up again. Also there were frequent price increases which were disappointing. I ended up using a different service.

The company was very communicative and helpful while I figured out what we needed and revised quotes as needs changed. I really appreciate that. Things happen, but so long as were communicating and working toward the goal, thats fine with me. They did a good job overall and were friendly/helpful throughout.

I had some old landscaping I needed removed. It was time for a fresh start. I contacted Big Lakes Lawn Care and they gave me a reasonable quote and timeframe for the job. The salesman, Josh, was very professional and knowledgeable. Two weeks later, Connor and Austin came out to do the job. They were very friendly and professional and got right to work. To my surprise, the job was completed in one day. They did exactly what was asked and left the job site clean. I may be calling them in spring for designing/installing fresh landscaping.

They did a great job on redoing our front landscape. Our house looks totally different now, also noticed several of my neighbors stopping to say how good it looked and asked for business cards. Hoping to be able to get some more work done in the spring.

This is the first year I have been with this company, and so far, no complaints and they are doing a great job.

Long story short...Big talk from Big Lakes, but poor execution. Took me 2 times/weeks before figured out they were not very good. And twice the price I was paying my last company. So...hired my old company back. I pre paid the next years (2022) 6 times fertilization program, so I guess I saved money. Cost $725 for 6 applications...missed the 4th application, but sent me an email saying it was done. (auto email). When I challenged this, Chester said it would get done. Well it didnt get done. Then they said the machine broke down, and the email that was sent is an auto one because I was scheduled that day...hmmmm. Then Paul (gm) emailed me and said they have had issues with the manager of that division, and they have made a change...would give me a credit for that one. Gave me a $67 credit...hmmmm. $725 divided by 6 is $121, Not sure how they got 67. Anyways. 5 th application was end of October...and the last application will be by Dec2nd....Dec 2nd?? Snow? Anyways, sloppy management, overpriced. I think they are growing too fast. My applications were April, July, Aug, Missed, Oct, and now Dec. wow....they missed the best growing months. Anyways...we will never use this company again.

I have used Big Lakes for several years. They are very knowledgeable and informative. My lawn was in bad shape before their services. Now it looks so much better.

I hired Big Lakes Lawncare, to aerate and overseed my front lawn. they did a great job and completed the work in 2 hours which included adding 5 yards of topsoil. The work was completed in late September, and within 10 days the grass was starting to grow. The company was very careful not to damage my inground sprinkler system, and cleaned up when they were finished. They will be returning in the spring to aerate and overseed a second time.

Big Lakes has always done a great job for me. They do my fall clean up, and they take care of the weed control. They are easy to get in touch with if you ever have concerns or questions. They are always there to help. I plan on keeping them around for quite a while.

Big Lakes Lawncare has maintained my lawn for a couple of years. Since I have been happy with that service I decided to try them with shrub trimming. Since I have meticulously trimmed my own shrubs for many years I thought I would try them with the one that gives me the most problems. Today Luke and Damon from Big Lakes came by. They discussed the job with me to find my preferences and then they did the trimming. When I went out to see how they did, I could not believe how good it looked - better than I could ever have done. GREAT JOB!!

These guys are awesome! My friend uses their lawn service and she never does reviews so Im doing it for her. These guys are absolutely amazing. David and his team come out and cut our lawn and I absolutely love them! We have issues with flooding in the backyard and David make sure that the yard doesnt get torn up. Our backyard is kind of a pain because we have a lot of kids toys and a trampoline and a giant jungle gym. But they make sure to walk it and get every little bit with the weed wacker. And David make sure to put those crispy lines in the backyard LOL all I can say is that this is a great company and I recommend anyone to use them!!

Earlier this year I was having issues with my previous lawn care service, theyd overcharge me and never show up - so I finally made the move to use Big Lakes Lawncare and its been a 180. Theyre always here on time, they do an excellent job - not only do they maintain my lawn weekly, but they helped trim my trees and shrubs along with install new mulch. They provide excellent service with grass cutting as well as fertilization and weed control. We preferred having everything under one umbrella done by one company like this. They are always available on phone for professional assistance. Some weeks the grass doesn t grow long enough to be cut, the guys come over and suggest that we don t. I mean who does that, they could as well cut and make money instead. But they keep the customer informed about the condition and make it look better after every service! I m super impressed. Such a great local and small business to hire and support.

I had my lawn aerated the guy did a great job very professional called me after took caution because some of the backyard was wet will definitely hire them back

They broke my sprinkler head and tried to fit a six foot lawn mower through a 3 foot gate . When they attempted this they scratched up the gate as well as chipping the stamped concrete. Constantly forget to blow grass off porch. When I get home I have to sweep up grass clipping. Just two weeks ago broke the gate on the other side of house which case Paul called said I have to proof it was them refused to come out and fix it. Terrible customer service. Simple when you break it fix it.

Big Lakes did a terrific job aireating our lawn. They used excellent equipment, cleaned up when job was done, and price was more than 33% less than several others who quoted.

Sloppy perimeter weed whacking, left clumps everywhere, stripes of long grass, promised to address and nothing changed, looking for a service again. They did come out and look at the lawn and did a proper cut for the last week of the season. Still not able to recommend or continue using big lakes for next season.
