There are dozens of landscaping companies in the area - choose a different one. Their professionalism is terrible. The landscapers consistently break the pathway lights and spotlights that we have in the landscape. No note, no apology, I just find pieces strewn about after they leave. The pathway lights are easily repairable, and so I repair them - only to have them broken again on the next visit. Infuriating. Their customer interactions leave much to be desired as well. The only thing that I wanted them to do was pick weeds. They didnt offer just weeds, so I agreed to their landscape management program. At one point I asked Gretchen if she could have the landscapers stop edging the landscape, the resulting trenches were interfering with my push mowing. I asked if the landscapers could instead spend the time picking weeds. Gretchen agreed to stop the edging, and sent me a pre-made response about why they dont pick weeds when you want them to. They then continued edging anyway.

My husband and I just bought this house last November and were in the market for a local landscaper and landscape designer. I contacted this place on April 14th around 11am to schedule an appointment for a consultation on my yard. I spoke with a gentleman who didnt bother to give me his name, he simply asked me for my name and number didnt ask my address nor what I was looking for. He said theyd call me back.. Its been over 2wks and I never received a call back. A couple of days ago we hired someone else to do the work. My yard is looking lovely.

Lupfer installed a French Drain on the side of our house a couple years ago. Last Wednesday when it rained for 24 hours, we got water in our basement from the side of the house where the drain was installed. We spent hours digging a ditch and pushing water away from our house. I called Lupfer that day to see if someone could come out and look at the drain to see if it was working correctly. Crickets. I still havent heard from them. We plan to work with another company now to ensure ground is properly graded away from our house and drain is working correctly.

Although Lupfer Landscaping has maintained my lawn for over a decade, I just became a full service customer. Yesterday, Tom, Marta, Fernando and the crew descended on my yard, removed dead shrubs, weeded all the beds and installed some new perennials for pops of color. Lupfer does fantastic work. In addition to our regular maintenance, theyre completed landscaping projects to help prevent our dog from jumping the fence and a grading project so that water would be diverted away from the house. Everything was done with the utmost care and expertise.

I wouldnt use this guy again if he gave us a new landscape for free! Advice to owner - get into another line of business. People are talking and I know a vast number of homeowners in the western suburbs who say nothing good about your designs and installations.
