True Green applied an application to my neighbors home. They left a pile of something (fertilizer or pesticides) and a empty bag in front of my home. After being on hold for 20 minutes, they indicated someone would be right out. 3 hours later, nothing... except for the potential of rain...
We looked into True Green years ago but decided not to use them because we had little kids and pets, and didn't want their poisonous herbicides and pesticides endangering them. Recently our neighbors (whose front lawn connects to ours) started using them. Their employees are reckless and sloppy, spraying their liquid chemicals everywhere--not paying any attention to over spray or wind drift. You can tell they're trying to get done as fast as possible. At their last application I watched as their tech slopped chemicals all over the property line onto our yard. Now two weeks later one of our large landscaping shrubs is completely dead in the middle, despite being perfectly healthy before their arrival. The list of chemicals they use is pretty scary. You would hope they would be more careful with them. Not in our case!
10/10 would not recommend. I started the service specifically for weeds and have been disappointed, not in their product, I did not have them long enough to know if the product worked or not, but their customer service is awful. First treatment went okay, I noticed on our security footage that the tech did not hit an area, this area was high on my priority list the local salesman assured me it would be hit. No big deal TruGreen said they would come back out for free and redo the service. They scheduled the appointment for two days later, the tech showed up and instead of completing the service, he marked that I had declined the service and left. Neither me nor my wife ever spoke to him to decline the service. After that I called the local office to try and figure out what happened, lo and behold you can’t talk to anyone locally it routes you to their call center. The call center rescheduled my service for two days later and told me a manger would be in touch. The next tech came out, I spoke with him before he started and he still did not attack the area I needed attacked. The manager called after that, would not give me a reason as to why the tech decided to cancel our service and started getting heated with me when I told him that the next tech didn’t even hit the area I needed him to hit. He said he didn’t hit it well because he didn’t have his weed equipment on the truck. The tech told me that he was told this visit was specifically for the weeds, but that the company sent him out in a truck that didn’t have weed equipment on it, so the poor kid had to use a pump sprayer. Why would they send him out on a weed call without the weed equipment. To top it all off, corporate called today to see how my conversation with the manager went. I was honest and told her what had happened and she started escalating and raising her voice with me. At the end of the call, she asked what would make me happy, I told her to cancel my service, because I am not going to pay a company to lie to me and yell at me. If you are looking for a lawn service, I would definitely pass on TruGreen.
Paying TruGreen nearly $1,200, we expected professional lawn care - not a graveyard of dead grass patches. The pictures show the reality - large barren areas and thinning in places that should be thick, green, and thriving. When we complained about the neglected state of our yard, they shamelessly tried to blame fictitious grub problems to upsell even more unnecessary treatments. Constantly upselling seems to be their top priority rather than actually doing the lawn service basics right. Every single visit brought high-pressure tactics to tack on expensive extras we didn't need. Meanwhile, our lawn continued its painful descent into a dried-out wasteland. Their core job is simple - nourish lush, healthy grass. Yet TruGreen failed miserably, letting our yard degrade into an embarrassing state. The dead zones and patchy thinning prove their services completely missed the mark through sheer incompetence or lack of caring. While the customer service rep was unpleasant at cancellation, the biggest letdown is TruGreen's inability to deliver on their most fundamental promises - maintaining a vibrant lawn. Unless you enjoy wasting money on upsell schemes while watching your yard turn into a dead zone, avoid this company at all costs. We've learned the hard way - TruGreen's lawn care is all talk, no results.
TruGreen really missed the mark. I still have hundreds of weeds some are even 3 ft tall. I was here when the technician arrived showed him everything and he missed half of it. They did do a really great job last year.
Tru Green was very compatible with a couple areas in the grass we needed to explain and did a great professional precise job of aerating our lawn!! They were very careful around marked areas and sprinklers, Thank you Tru-Green
We hired TruGreen for mosquito control. They came the first time about a month ago then did a free service as mosquitos were coming back after the application. The "free" service happened 2 days ago and since then I have several plants dying! This service, I don't know what they sprayed on my plants but it was thick, sticky and shiny. This was nothing like the first service. I have cancelled my service with them and will hold them accountable for any of my plants that die! I am so angry as we work hard for the beautiful yard that we have and in one swoop .... I suggest using a different service or do it yourself! Do not trust Trugreen!

Have received multiple calls after telling them I cant start grass because I need inground sprinklers and 4 fallen trees to pick up Ive told 5 different people here that I dont want the service yet because of the condition of work needed before Emailed this company to remove from the call list, and it would take 30 days to remove it. It was not removed. So, I called today to have the internal call list removed Make sure you call for that the internal call list to have your number removed. If you dont, they will call you til you die Sadly, itll be another 30 days before they stop calling. I asked to talk to a manager, and they just left me on hold for 5 minutes, so I hung up Calling at 721am in the morning is ridiculous btw

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I called and set up a service plan for our house. They said our first service would be Tuesday, then they said Wednesday, then they said that they would definitely come on Thursday. Then they said they would come on the following Monday. I was rescheduled 4 times with out any sort of communication. Customer service was no help since they send you to a call center. When I called Thursday they said my first service would be free which would be appreciated if they ever showed up in the first place. No one showed up the following Monday either claiming they couldnt find our house, which is strange because simply calling me would have solved this problem!! All days that they said they were coming I was waiting at home for someone to show up because they dont even give you a time frame for when someone will show up. Would never recommend this place, cannot believe how horrible of a experience I had with this company.
Had my first service appointment with Tru Green today and I was very impressed with the Service Technician, Nathan Zeller, who is so courteous, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. He has given me peace of mind that my front lawn is definitely recoverable even given its current poor state.

Hired these guys to try and help fix my lawn. Do to fungus and mushrooms keep growing all over the lawn by the bushes and trees. That hasnt worked. Still have mushrooms. There is never nothing scheduled on the calendar And they dont give you a 24hr notice if you wont be home I always get 6 hour notices they will be there to perform work notice is usually around 7am at that time the wife and I are already at work so the back gate is locked do to my dogs. So dont give you time to make arrangements. So then you get a notification service incomplete do to locked gate and on camera you can see them string out the hose just to string it back up. Try to reschedule and make preparation just for them not to show on the scheduled date. Sure pre paid for this garbage. Never do that again

Absolutely terrible experience with this company. They were never here more than 5 mins and we have a 6,000 sq ft yard. They proceeded to spray new grass we had requested not be sprayed. Come to learn when canceling the service they were supposed to take soil samples and had never done that. I recommend never using this service, very unprofessional and Absolutely zero communication between technicians and the office.

Specialist Austyn Chacon 5 stars! He probably thought I was crazy. I was pulling out of the garage before he pulled up, I was on the way to a vet appointment with my dog. My garage door wouldnt go down, so I had to run into the house, and try to shut it, and go out the front door. The alarm was going off in the house. I couldnt get the alarm to arm. Austyn had already started spraying by the time I got back out there. He tried talking to me while I was running into the house, but I couldnt stop because I was trying to get to the alarm before it went to the alarm service. Poor guy!
I spoke with a representative and explicitly stated that my main concern was weeds in our rocks as well as the weeds in our grass. He told me the plan that would work best for us and said it covered what we needed. At our first service rocks were not covered. I contacted customer service and they let me know this company does not cover weeds in rocks AT ALL. I am very frustrated with the lack of communication and the deception from our sales representative.

Not only have they done amazing work for me, my lawn and trees have never looked better, but they helped my son get rid of an inordinate number of weeds that completely overwhelmed his yard last year. Already, at the start of the growing season, our lawns and trees look healthy and beautiful!

Clifford Johnson spent time carefully evaluating my mothers lawn at her home in Loveland, then applied product and seed to appropriate areas of grass that she felt were dead/dying. She hopes he comes back out for future work.
We just got our own personal representative who came to our house last week, looked at every tree, shrub, lawn and our entire yard first time ever!!! This is for the tree and shrub service. They did not treat specific trees with what was recommended by my professional tree service that pruned the trees, just a generic treatment for every tree & shrub. Sales Rep on phone had told me that yes, the service tech would know what each tree needed. But I guess I m not surprised as they didn t even come out before hand to make an assessment. Canceled future treatments.
We gave Trugreen thousands of dollars over the past few years with miserable results. The yard looks worse than when we bought the house!!!! This company is a scam. They spray something once in a while with no good results. They then come to look at it and want to charge more money. DO NOT USE this company!!!!!! I canceled and yet they continue to harass me with notices that they are coming to treat the lawn! Scam.
i have used True Green for a number of years for my personal residence and my rental properties. After you prepay they do not email you a receipt. As a landlord I need a actual receipt for expenses at tax time. I called many times and was told they have no way of sending a receipt or was told they would send one and never did. They tell you they send a confirmation number and that is good enough. After many years of fighting them for a receipt I am switching to a more customer service based company. Plus my yards never looked that great with True Green and i had to buy and apply additional products from Home Depot to green the grass up and control the weeds so it defeated the purposes of even having them.

He has committed to dealing directly with him as when we dealt with anyone else at corporate, we were met with false promises and disappointment. We were ready to change our service to another company. He earned back our trust. We praise the local Loveland, CO office but want to point out that the Corporate office needs a major overhaul to earn back the confidence of customers like us. Please ensure that Mr. Cliff Johnson and his staff are complimented and rewarded for their efforts.

The experience I had with trugreen was a nightmare from the beginning. After my contract was up trying to cancel with them was a 5 month process. I talked to multiple people asking for the account to be canceled and to be placed on the do not contact list. I continued to recieve calls and text messages about an upcoming service that never should have happened. I recorded the tech at my house although I canceled my account and sent it to the customer service and they accused me of letting the tech perform work. I said this has become harassment and I will take steps against trugreen if it continues. The customer service person said she will hang up on me if I mention getting a lawyer. The absolute worst company I have ever given business to!!!
True Green has done my yard for 8 years. My yard is the greenest, weed free and mosquito free lot in the neighborhood. People always stop to compliment our yard. I just walked outside and snapped a picture of our yard! It always looks fantastic.

I have been impressed with the improvements in our lawn. I believe this is mainly due to the professionalism, expertise, and quality of care we receive from TruGreen and their lawn care specialists.
I watched on my video cameras and the technician did not spray the South side or the front of my lawn. The receipt he left says he did the entire area.
Brandon made the experience exceptional. He answered all of our questions, took his time walking the property and figuring things out with us. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. We appreciated his time and effort.
I paid for the mosquito defense and was told they would treat my entire property including any bushes and trees. They took 7 minutes to do my lawn and my wife was home and watched them not treat most of the yard. I arrived home 13 minutes after the treatment was completed and could find no wet areas at all on my lawn, fence line, trees or bushes. On the receipt it says they sprayed 9.88 gallons on my property that treats 9884 square feet, my entire property is 8775 square feet, that includes my house footprint that is 1444 square feet, my drive ways and porches . How is it possible you treated 9884 square feet on a property that only has 7331 square feet of outside area? How did you treat that much area when you told me you don t treat grass, I have 1400 square feet of grass, you don t treat rocks or mulch, I have over 3000 square feet of rocks and mulch .. The number I called to complain gave me no answers, they told me they can t answer questions or give reasons they only deal with re application requests or refunds. So I was never gave an answer as to why my property was not properly treated like they say they do or how they treated more property then I own. I would never recommend this service to anyone. If the owner/manager of this area sees this and wants to talk you have my number. Sheldon
I called to inquire about a service. After receiving a quote I said I had to speak with my wife first, the agent on the phone was incredibly pushy and tried to talk me into purchasing the service without talking to her first. After I declined and ended the call, I got multiple texts and calls throughout that day and the following day. I had to ask to no longer be contacted multiple times and was even argued with on the phone when asked to no longer be contacted. The following day, I look on my doorbell camera and see that a TruGreen employee was at my house without me ever purchasing a service. I had to threaten to call the police to be left alone. Major red flag. If they hadnt been so pushy and showed up at my home unannounced they probably would have had my business. I will never recommend them to anyone.
Just can t get last name straightened out
Impossible to contact them, was not upfront of what they actually do to the yard, said everything would be taken care of and none of it was. They also said the technicians would contact me to make sure they were doing everything properly and no attempt to contact me. The people who signed me up forged my signature and then ghosted me. I do not recommend them.

Cory was extremely responsive and explained their product and pricing very thorough and took time answering all my questions. He helped me choose the best program for my needs for the best value. I have had 2 of the first treatments in the last week so too early to report on effectiveness of the products. Kenny D applied the fertilizer yesterday and was very knowledgeable about the product and answered more of my questions about the process of application for insecticide, fertilizer and weed control.

I had been struggling with a very high quantity of weeds and spending lot of money with weeds killer products with no results and with ONLY, so far, 2 applications of chemicals that True Green applied, you already can see a significant change. Im not sure how this is ok. I watched the driver park her truck mostly in the handicap spot and partially on the stripes while holding her phone and talking on it. (Every parking spot was open) I walked in and got a copy of my receipt, walked back out and mentioned that she parked in a handicap spot. She proceeded to be sarcastic with me and go into the shop. I called to report it to TruGreen and spoke with someone who was shocked that I had an issue with their driver. I called back again, asking how to reach management. I was told that I couldnt unless I left my number or drove down the local location.

Update to the update - The refund I was told I would receive from TruGreen corporate never made it to my account after several weeks of waiting. After calling them today there is apparently no record of any call or refund from corporate on my account. Update to the review below - Got a call from TruGreen corporate and they made every attempt to make things right. I appreciate their efforts. If my interactions with my servicing branch had been as pleasant and timely as with TruGreen corporate, I would probably still be with them. Listen to the 1 star reviews. There are more weeds in my lawn now than there were before and Ive missed out on months I could have had a competent company treating my lawn. Salesperson left a customized lawn assessment on my door and when I called to find out pricing to deal with the issues identified I was told it would be $484 for a calendar year. I later found out this did not include overseeding or aeration (two things listed on the assessment), nor did it include a guarantee for the treatments performed on my non-lawn areas (weeds in rocks, for example). This was disappointing, as I had specifically asked if that price would address the identified concerns. Clearly the intention was to sell to me at a low price and add on extras later. I probably would have still signed up for the full service if it had just been clear up front, but I was told it would be $285 to add those on. When I started calling/texting the salesperson (Seth) with questions, I got ghosted (despite being told if you ever have issues, call me directly). I received more calls to sell me additional services than I got returned from my sales guy (no, Im not going to sign up for your shrub and tree service or bug services when you cant even kill my weeds). I eventually talked with another person (who called to sell me shrub service) that told me they would set up a free revisit for weed control and it would happen in 3-5 days. That visit never happened and I never heard back. All areas are now worse than when I signed up with TruGreen. My local branch salespeople (Seth and Morris) are unresponsive to attempts to contact over several weeks. TLDR - The services dont work, theyre overpriced, and the customer service is awful. Look elsewhere.

I never asked for service.... they showed up at my house, entered my yard without authorization and sprayed poison all over where my dogs free roam in the yard... all because they got the wrong address.... The gate was locked. the person either reached over to unhook the locking carabiner or used a tool through the fence to enter and spread poison in my yard... Ive called 3 times and have yet to get a response. Complete and utter horseSH!T!!! How do they get an address wrong, enter a locked property, and spread poison in an environment with pets?!?! They then left this at the door!!! Best of all, the only person that answered the phone from the phone tree couldnt care that they illegaly entered my yard and spread poison... he simply stated It happens sometimes when we get addresses wrong... HOW ARE YOU IN BUISNESS?!

Thats a bummer as I did not know that earlier as we paid extra for seeds & aeration a bit ago. I think the last service person did not note water DAILY. Also, I think we had/have grubs in our yard as we are noticing some damage to the sod in certain places, particularly in the front near the tree & in the far back yard. (I can pull up chunks of grass). Will you please check for this in spring? We gave battled a poor yard all year as we just purchased the property exactly Oct 2023. We began true green service here immediately as I had it at my other property (Chandler CT, Fort Collins). Thank you again for helping this yard thicken and be healthy & not full of weeds/grubs.
STAY AWAY FROM TRUGREEN! DEPLORABLE service. If I could get negative stars, I would. TLDR; they got fertilizer everywhere on driveway, public sidewalk, and front walkway; took no responsibility for it; told my 80-year-old father with balance issues to clean up their mess A technician came out yesterday to put fertilizer on my parents yard. Unfortunately, I think he mistook the concrete for the grass and put it all over the public sidewalk, the driveway, and the walkway up to the front of the house. We had 3 dogs at the house and they were trapped inside because every outside path was covered in fertilizer pellets. My dad called the company and the first representative said oh the technician was sloppy and although it s not your fault, you ll need to clean it up . So my 80-year-old father with balance issues was instructed to clean up TruGreen s mess. That s a problem. During that call, there was no apology. No offer of a refund. Not even a recommendation on how to clean it up besides watering the concrete until the pellets dissolved, which had the potential to turn into an ice rink overnight. It was clear she wanted to get off the phone as soon as possible and didn t want to help at all. I ended up talking with her and instead of fighting with her, I thanked her for her time and went outside to sweep up the pellets. NOPE. Do not recommend. I called the company myself the next time and the second person I talked to said that sweeping wouldn t work well at all as the pellets will bounce back, which was what I had experienced. Thankfully, they did this on a day when I had already planned to visit and could help, but I would hate for this to happen to my parents when I m not there or to someone else. I called the company shortly before 3:30pm on a Friday and was told that since it was too late on a Friday and they don t work over the weekend, they couldn t get anyone out to clean up the mess until sometime next week. By that point, it would ve been taken care of by the snow. The problem was getting the dogs out of the house on Friday and allowing neighbors to use the public sidewalk with their pets. The guy I spoke to told me that all the trucks are equipped with brushes so that this doesn t happen but he can t guarantee that every truck in the country has one . The guy was nice enough to say that he would ve come by himself and cleaned it up on his way home if he lived closer. Instead, he gave my parents a 75% refund (because supposedly their system doesn t allow zeros so they couldn t give them a 100% refund ) so that they could buy a leaf blower (for $54 - the cheapest one I could find available in store without having to ship it was $80) to clear the pellets as doing that or watering the concrete were the recommended cleaning methods. He also stated that they could use the leaf blower next time this happens, at which point I told him that there shouldn t be a next time. He apologized and said I was right and he was just thinking out loud. Which now has me wondering how many times they do this and don t take responsibility for it??? Thankfully, I found one of the neighbors who had a leaf blower and he was kind enough to take care of the pellets all along the sidewalk and on the driveway. After he finished, he came up to me and told me how crazy it was! He thought there would be a few pellets here and there but he said it was EVERYWHERE and there was more fertilizer on the concrete than in the grass. He thinks the technician might ve thought the concrete was going to grow . I ll be finding my parents a different service and sharing this with their community (which is extremely pet friendly), all of my own neighbors, and friends who own property management companies and rental properties. I get that people screw up but it s a problem when the company won t do anything about it. Thanks to other reviews highlighting that this company is a bit shady when it comes to refunds and cancellations, I ll also make sure to keep a close eye on it.

Customers using this company should be aware! I just received a notice form my bank that trugreen charged my account $77.43 for a service I did not ask for. They charged my account using my debit card.
Horrible service.... missed weeds and broke one of our plant pots.... wanted them to replace it but they would not call us back... first service they did in the pouring down rain and then they had to come back out because it did not kill anything.
Weve used TruGreen for a few years now. Everything was fine until we needed a response on adding a service. They said the service happened, it did not. We tried calling for help, each time the customer service person is not in my local center. They were difficult to communicate with. I asked for the local number. They said no. At this point they have charged us for a service not provided. I have tried three times to talk to the TruGreen people in Colorado. No luck. So we will change our service.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! This company is the worst service I have ever paid for. I have a property that is 75% rock terrain and 25% grass. I confirmed, upon hiring them, that their services cover the whole property and not just the grass part. Fast forward to 3 months into service and $350 later, I have a foot and a half tall weeds in the rock terrain. They claim they are doing their service by ONLY taking care of the 25% grass part of the property. I have called 6 times to get this taken care of and not a single thing is done. I have asked for a refund and they give me the run around with saying no need we will get it taken care of. Either do your job or give me my money back. Loveland, CO TRUGREEN IS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER PAID FOR!!!!

One of the most unprofessional interactions I have ever had with a business. I spoke on the phone with customer service after I filled out the online questionnaire but was not provided any information about my plan or pricing other than their proprietary name. On the phone. I spoke with a man who would not answer my questions and gave me a salesman run around repeatedly when I tried to ask very direct questions about what the service is entailed. Everything about the interaction was deceptive, rude, and unkind. I thanked the man for his time, told him that the service was not for me and tried to end the conversation. The man yelled at me and demanded an explanation of why I did not want to purchase their service, I explained to the man that I found him to be unprofessional, and beyond that, it did not seem that they would be able to accomplish what I was requesting (to remove crabgrass from my yard) because they only provide long-term service plans for overall grass health. I requested that my phone number and email be removed from their system, and that I not be contacted for promotions, sales or marketing. The man told me that my contact information would be removed. Since that time. I have gotten phone calls at least once a week, sometimes much more often; and very frequent emails. The only thing you can get from this company is spam.

The technicians have always done a good job when they have came out. I do have issues with communicating with the office staff. EDIT: this past summer the technician never came out on time. My grass remained discolored for the whole summer. The office staff is non-existent. I have been with TruGreen for many years but last summer was the last year I will use them.
I dont have anything good to say about this company. I had issues from day 1. Starting with them not spraying everything they had told me they were going to spray. Later told that they dont do that stuff by the sprayer. Found out he was only spraying the Front yard and had to literally catch him and walk him in the back and watch him spray. He only sprayed the back twice. Called multiple times into them to figure this out and while the customer service agents are incredibly sweet and helpful on the phone, we saw none of this transfer to the people that we were dealing with in person or who were actually spraying out yard. After a year and constant issues and headaches, I wouldnt trust the people they hire to do anything they say they are going to. No way does it take less than 3 minutes to spray the entire front and back lawn when it takes longer than that to walk it and open the side gate. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. I cant speak for any other companies as this was my first lawn care experience, but anything has to be better than this.

Do NOT contact these people. I scheduled one service with them that I canceled due to finding a better price. For the last TWO years they have continued to contact me despite me telling them multiple times to remove me from their list. They ve even gone as far as scheduling a service without my permission a full year after I told them no the first time. They are like cockroaches..... annoying and hard to get rid of.

I paid for them to do a healthy lawn analysis and weed and feed program. They came into my yard for a total of one minute, didnt apply ANY treatments and claimed my yard was in good health (not in the slightest). A blind person could have performed a better assessment of my lawn based on feel alone. I could tell they didnt even look at the lawn. I had a fence guy installing a fence who verified the person stayed uno minuto and didnt apply any treatments or do ANYTHING TO THE LAWN, yes still charged me for 3 different services. Claiming Covid policies, they also didnt ring the bell (just left a receipt for services I have proof werent rendered). THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY WHO COMMITS FRAUD. I cancelled since they cant be trusted to actually perform the service they were charging me for. HIRE ANYONE ELSE.

THIS COMPANY HAS PUT MYSELF AND MY PET AT RISK; AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I did NOT hire this company to pump chemicals into my property, yet they trespassed onto my property and did so anyway. A free treatment may sound like a good thing, but that is only if you are expecting to get an assortment of chemicals on your lawn; if you are not expecting it, this becomes a HUGE problem. Not knowing they had treated my lawn with chemicals, myself and my pet spent time in MY lawn. My pet has ingested pellets of the chemicals and I have a rash/dermatitis. I have the invoice TruGreen left on my front door, however, I will not post a photo because it has the name and contact information of the person in my neighborhood who was supposed to have their lawn treated. I attempted to call the company to resolve this issue; I informed a customer representative that I needed to speak to a supervisor about my issue, but when I was put on hold to speak to them the call cut out. I have called back 5 times and I believe I have been blacklisted. The INCOMPETENCE displayed by this company is absurd. Never once have I ever considered doing so in the past, but I plan to litigate.

I thought hiring a professional service, would help my lawn. Instead, it has been the exact opposite. The weeds are thriving and there are large dead spots of grass. Even the backyard where the dogs run and dig, have until now has always been lush and dark green, after TruGreen has been out, there is a large spot where the grass is dead. This is the worst my lawn has ever looked. I called and let them know how the lawn and weeds looked, so they came back out and reapplied everything. There hasn t been any change, the grass is dying and the weeds aren t. I called to cancel the service, they gave me the runaround and said they will send a specialist out but continually turn the conversation away from canceling the service.

Revised as of today 8/3/2021 I sent an email as requested below with NO RESPONSE. The service has KILLED our lawn. Technician came out to do service and DID NOT even do the back yard. Didnt bother to call to see is dogs were inside. I paid in full for our service. I requested a refund and canceled our so called remaining services. This company is a JOKE. We signed up for service, they said they would be here Wednesday, never showed nor contacted us. We called and rescheduled for Friday, took the day off work to allow access to the back yard. Get an email saying 1st it was going to be between 7 am and 11 am. Then received email indicating between 1pm and 6 pm. Get another email indicating in route. 5 minutes later get another email indicating not able to show up. No PHONE call nor reason for not able to show. Called and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to call back. Truck broke down, now not able to show until Monday.
They charged me twice. Attempted to reach customer service at both the corporate office and Loveland office. No reply. However, they keep sending notices but you cant get in touch with a live person. The sales people will call you non-stop in the beginning to book services but no follow up after that. Please call me back trugren!
Trugreen has the worst customer service and response times I have ever seen. As soon as they started taking care of my lawn it went from green to yellow and then brown in giant areas. I do have small spots from dogs that I get but these spots were not anywhere near where my dogs go to the bathroom. They called out their so called expert that basically and he said he had no idea what was wrong and treated for bugs and then later I found out they put brown patch disease on my file which was not said to me or was the lawn treated for. Then to put the cherry on top they schedule a appointment to come out and cancel it and it take over week to get a hold of them by email or over a hour on hold and managers do not call you back. Then their satisfaction garuntee is not 100 percent they only return part of your money now that I have fired them as my lawn company it is starting to come back green in some areas that were not killed completely.
9/2021- Loveland Thought we would give it a try this summer. Honestly can say lawn does not look any better than when we do it ourselves. Thought it would save us time. But results were much less than we were expecting or hoped for. Brown spots, weeds . I called and used the website. Both NOT user friendly to say the least! There response was, we were cutting to short, blades not sharp, not watering enough . Ok we followed their advice. Nothing changed. So ..back to doing it ourselves, or try another company next year.
I am amazed at the level of incompetence with your Loveland, CO branch. I had to ask multiple times for a contract cancelation confirmation in writing in addition they would not give me any guarantee that my bank account information would be removed from your computer system. This is all on top of the fact that your employees have been charging me for fertilization of DEAD GRASS! Literally dirt!!!!! Your company is a scam through and through.
Weve been highly impressed with TruGreen. Weve had terrible trouble with weeds and thin/brown patches in our lawn and expected to have to re-sod after 20 years. We decided to try TruGreen and our lawn has completely been restored. Well worth the investment!
I emailed them to get a quote for some basic lawn care. Within 4 hours I received THIRTEEN missed phone calls from them and not one voicemail. 13! When I called back, I kindly expressed how unprofessional that was, yet was still possibly interested in their service. Maybe it was simple accident, miscommunication within their department, whatever! When I got the quote, they added in multiple services that I repeatedly said I was not interested in. Within 5 minutes, I found another company that was half the price and didn t force me to purchase extra services.
Ted C. with TruGreen in Greeley is a liar and or lazy. Texted stating arrival time would be approximately 145 and at 145 he rang my bell, I saw it was him thru our doorbell camera so I just let him go about his business as usual. However, not two minutes later I got a text stating he was unable to preform his duties because we had a pet in the yard. Lie. I was sitting in my living room with both dogs watching him walk and then drive away. SO VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, and in the time and day of exterior security cameras Id say Ted is not so smart. Dont be Ted.
I set up to have my lawn taken care of I talked to ace local sales guy and he was very convincing in the fact that they would not run my credit card information until after I had someone come out and give me a visit in person. We had a unique situation and I wanted to make sure that they would be able to help with our grass before they charge us for it. The salesman, Todd, assured me that they would not charge me. A day later I was charged $300 on my credit card- They will say anything to get the sale. I don t know why I didn t read the reviews but I should have. That is my mistake
We had to put my dog down due to the chemicals they put on the lawn. We where told to keep the dogs off the grass for 24 hours which we did no issues. Over the next couple of days we aloud our dogs on the grass until my senior dog Bean came inside with a giant chemical burn on his belly. We rushed him to the vet and after 10 days of pain meds and antibiotics we where told there was nothing left to be done and he was suffering so our vet made the choice that it was time to put him out of his misery. I called TruGreen in a last ditch effort for help to see if they had any insight on how to treat a burn caused by one of their chemicals and to see if they could warn other owners in the future so that no one else would have to go through this. All they said to me was that because its not my account its my landlords their is absolutely nothing that they can do and even if there was something they could do and it was my account all they would do was note it. My dog is dead and I was laughed at by their customer service rep when I called. Thanks for rubbing salt in the wound TruGreen.
Not responsive to calls. Poor customer service. Didn t show for an appointment and it is like pulling teeth to get rescheduled. On day 5 and still no call back.
Yikes. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They make promises at the time of selling you the product and then dont come through. I was told I would get an aeration at the start and end of season, that someone would be available to fix any issues within 2 days, and that a sprinkler person would come out and turn on and adjust all my sprinklers and check for leaks. None of these things happened. I was also told by the salesman that he would be my point of contact should anything go wrong. Today I found out that is 100% false and that I just have to call their generic customer service line if I have issues. I dont mind calling their customer service line, but DONT advertise that I have a direct contact if thats not true. The amount of lies they tell you is astounding. They also charge you separately for the sides of the house or any areas there are rocks (which nearly every house in Colorado has xeroscaping somewhere). My main problem areas were the rocky areas, and they werent addressed at all. And no one told me I would have to pay extra for that area. Had I known that, I would have JUST asked for the rocky areas and taken care of the rest myself. I have contacted them via their chat feature in the app, and called twice, and still no one has come to turn on my sprinklers. I cancelled my services about 20 minutes ago. What a joke of a company.
If I could give them zero stars I would. These guys are all about taking your money and not following through on all the services they promise to provide. Spent $600 on a package they marketed to me back in March. The service was for aeration, sprinkler maintenance, and fertilization . It is the end of May right now. They have came out once to fertilize in the begging of the month and I havent heard a peep from them since. Finally called today to see whats going on. They didnt have my aeration or sprinkler maintenance even scheduled or know when they might have time to do it!!! They said I was free to find some else to do it and I quote doubt you will find anyone else to do it this time of year. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Thats why I paid for it two months ago so I wouldnt be in this situation!!!!These guys are unprofessional, the deal really isnt that good and they plain dont care. Do yourself a favor if you care about your lawn find someone else cause they dont care about your lawn or you as a customer!
This is our fourth year with TruGreen and things are not getting any better. We pre-pay for our plan which I think makes us their lowest priority. They come out in the spring and then I have to start complaining before somebody follows up with the additional applications. Last summer I had to complain at eight weeks every time. Towards the end of the summer they came out once a month to make sure they got the applications in. My lawn needs fertilizer most during May, June, July, August. We are done!
Where to begin. Last year, I had been looking at options to improve my lawn for this summer. To try and make sure that we could have healthy grass for the duration and keep my HOA happy. When April hit, my husband and I spoke to a very nice sales lady, glad we could have a pay as you go kinda deal so we werent under any kind of contract. Great! Gave my card to verify that it was valid. The next day, there was a charge for over 500 dollars deducted from my account for the WHOLE season. This is not a charge as you go. Contacted the rep and demanded my money back. She made sure the transaction was reversed. That was strike 1. Next we had someone come out to do the service. We were told our first service would be $30. Had no clue that the guy had showed up. Just left a thing in the grass stating it was sprayed. The company itself had no idea that this dude came out. Then still charged me over 70 bucks for the first visit. A sales rep later called me to go over the billing. When I spoke to her, I made mention that our first bill was supposed to be 30. She blew me off. The next visits they made it was the same thing. We thought the front and back was being taken care of. That we would start to see results. Instead, MORE WEEDS POPPED UP IN MY FRONT YARD! What is the point of paying someone to come out and spray the weeds if instead they are promoting the growth of weeds. No by that point we had received a notice from our HOA to remove said weeds. It just continued to get worse after that point. So now I had to go out and go through the whole yard to rip up these weeds which negates the reason to have them out here for a service in the first place. Strike 2. The last and final strike was when I was sitting at my desk working, watched the gentleman pull up and begin to work. Now, that isnt a problem except, he only did the front yard. Put the invoice on my front door and left. Now double checking the note, it said they sprayed for 1795 sqft. My front yard is 500 sqft or less. Which means that they never went into the backyard. They never bothered to question the square footage of invoice and STILL charged me the full amount acting like they did that much. So not only have they LIED but they have charged me for more when they shouldnt have. When I called TruGreen, the lady on the phone, though she was polite enough, she was doing her damnedest to keep our business. When she asked me why we wanted to cancel our service, I listed several reasons. This product doesnt work. It makes things worse in the yard even. Sure we had weeds before, but we never had them this bad. That is something I am not chill with. I even brought up the fact that we never received most of the things we were supposed to including the $30 dollar first time service, which apparently was to be applied to this service that had just been done. I also brought up the sqft issue, and she stated well thats odd, our notes dont state to go into the backyard, and yet the invoice made it clear that they had closed the back gate. I even asked, why wouldnt the tech question that? Its clear that the yard was no where near that size unless he did the front and back. She tried offering $10 bucks off, then tried offering 10% off. But why would I want to keep paying for service that just isnt working. And today, I just received a call from TruGreen. I missed the call since I was taking care of other matters. But left no message behind. I would appreciate yall removing my number from your calling lists from here on out. Thanks. If your looking at this company to help improve your lawn, and keep weeds at bay, do yourself a favor and a different service.

Customer service is very unprofessional. The company should be called Tru Brown as my lawn doesnt look any better or greener than when we were doing the maintenance ourselves TruGreen bought out the company we originally signed up with and we have been completed disappointed with TruGreen and their terrible service.
They have real communication issues between the office and the technicians. We had the sales guy come out, told us he thought we had a grub problem and needed revive. I had just done a weed/feed myself so he said they would do the grub/revive for 1st treatment. Long story short, the tech kept doing the wrong application, they ended up fertilizing 3 times within a month accidentally so I had to overwater to keep the lawn from burning. I talked to the 800 center and local management about 5 times over the last month to get it right. Bottom line is that my lawn looks good (because they over-fertilized and I had to over-water), but the communication was really bad. I plan to give them one more chance but Im keeping my eye open for switching to another provider, or doing it myself again.

The marketing promise and actual service from this company are drastically different. When we prepaid for seven treatments in 2020, we discussed the emergence of necrotic ring spot at the end of last season. In addition to adding a ReVive treatment, a decision was made by our tech to apply low dose nitrogen next season to combat the problem. Not being a fertilization specialists, I assumed when they began treatments in March 2020, that they were doing what they said they were going to do. Not seeing an improvement in the yard, we began to review their treatments to discover they range anywhere from 25-0-5 to 17-0-5 to 12.0.0. Definitely, NOT low dose nitrogen. Upon further investigation, we found these to be the exact treatments they provided for us last year. So even though they told us they were going to be be treating our yard differently because of our issue, they did not. They tout Ph.D. certified specialists who develop a specialized plan for your lawn, but then provide you with a generic service. Its all just smoke and mirrors and a pretty website. There is no integrity to back up what they sell. In addition, I contacted them on July 17, 2020 requesting a follow up service to treat weeds in my yard. The rep told me a request would be put in. On August 7, 2020 I called again stating no one had come to treat my weeds. I was assured that someone would be out on August 11, 2020. On August 11th, I received an automated message from TruGreen telling me they were coming to do a prepaid regularly scheduled treatment the next day. When my service tech arrived i asked him if he was doing a reservice for my weeds (free) or a regular treatment (paid). He told me a reservice. Since I am a prepaid customer I am expecting a refund for the cancelled service. They promote a Premiere Green Program stating they will come out as many times as necessary between scheduled visits to make adjustments to your program, but they made me wait three weeks and make two calls before receiving the reservice. Because of the recent reservice issue and the discovery of the deceptive nitrogen applications, today I have requested to cancel the remaining three treatments and seek reimbursement for said cancelled treatments.
I called and asked for them to come out and spray our lawn for pest control over a month ago. I get a call every other day saying my service will be the following day!! Seriously a joke and to top it all off, I got a BILL in the mail for $156 for 3 application that no one has done!! No TRUGREEN technician has been on our property but yet they are billing me!!! I just called the automated system now its sometime next week. Seriously!!
If there was a zero rating that is what they would have gotten. I was promised 6 treatments on my yard. 4 fertilizers and 2 revive. I got one fertilizer and had to call about all the others. I started my service in May and received one treatment in May. Had to call and complain in July to get a second treatment. Finally got it in the middle of July. Here we are 8 weeks later and still no further treatments. I would not recommend this service to anyone. They do not follow threw on there promises.

Service is great. Only down side is it seem the corporate arm of true green doesnt pay close attention to their Franchisees. Multiple franchiseess called to get my service while I was under already contract to have things done already...that shouldnt happen. Also I had to ask for a pay in full for services up front...they didnt offer it to me.
The service is great. It really helps with lawn health. This last service, Aerate and overseed, I do have an issue. It would be courteous of the technician to cleanup after their mess. After finishing aerating the back lawn, the machine was taken back to the front yard where the TruGreen truck was parked. In the process of moving the machine, it left quite a trail of dirt clumps on the porch, and sidewalk to the driveway. It would be very nice if the technician took a broom and swept up afterwards. This service costs a fair amount of money and for the price we pay I certainly dont think it is too much to ask.

I was so disappointed in the ability of TruGreen to control the weeds in my lawn. The weeds were thriving prior to my ending my service with TruGreen. I had never previously had a lawn service of any kind, but the weeds in my new lawn were plentiful and I had expected a professional company would do better than I could at reducing and hopefully eliminating the weeds. After months of little to no progress, I cancelled service. Once I cancelled service, I sprayed the heck out of the weeds and within days, the weeds were dying and under control better than the results I saw. On a positive note, they always came on time and left detailed information about the lawn and were very friendly on the phone.
I submitted a request online for quotes, and I gave my phone and email. This was at 930am, by 1030am I had received 8 phone calls, and no emails. Some people are working and cant answer, use the alternative method, dont just keep blowing peoples phones up. Not interested anymore.

Called about a sprinkler system service, and thought since they keep sending flyers Id give them a shout. I just needed some adjustments made, and a new sprinkler head. The lady on the phone was very unprofessional, said she was going to have someone from my area call me, and hung up. Never received a call. I will be taking my business elsewhere for sure. Im sure there are lots of local companies that would appreciate the business...
Terrible company, terrible service, and unprofessional staff. The local Loveland branch dropped the ball more times than I can count. It took several calls to corporate to cancel our services. And they kept calling to notify about future services even though we were cancelled. We finally got them to come and aerate, however between them not showing and showing up days late unannounced, it took almost 2 months to get the service done. Ask my neighbors how many times I had to flag all 50 of my sprinkler heads (now I know it wasnt even necessary). Ridiculous! When they actually did do the work, I saw almost no effect. It seemed their magic sprays were diluted to the point of uselessness (and max profits, Im sure). Ive since taken my business to American Turf and Tree Care and my lawn looks amazing.
Don t waste your time with this company! They treated my yard twice with no good results in weed control or fertilization. I switch to another company with great results on the first treatment.
We had a wedding in our back yard so it was important to have no mosquitoes. Their first application didnt rid us of mosquitoes so they applied another, but during the rehearsal dinner on the lawn so many people had bites that for the wedding we had to rent 2 large fans to blow the mosquitoes away for $53. The man who applied it was very friendly, but I cant recommend them as my neighbor down the street used another company and has had no mosquitoes.

In the spring of 2016, I ordered a prepaid package for annual service from TruGreen, based on having used them for years in North Carolina. The service was very undependable. The wouldnt show when they said they would, they left the gate open, etc.... In the middle of the summer, I spoke with someone at Loveland named Caleb and told him that once the prepaid package was complete, I would never deal with TruGreen again! After a full year of service, my lawn looks no better than my neighbor who did absolutely nothing. In mid-March, while I was in California, I received a call on my Fort Collins land line saying TruGreen was coming out to service my lawn. When I returned from California, there was a marker in my yard saying they had been here. I called Loveland immediately and told them I wasnt paying for the service because I had not ordered it! They sent a paper bill for the service and I wrote on it that I had not authorized the service and would not be paying for it. I received a very nasty phone call from TruGreen saying I would be turned over to a collection agency for non-payment! To protect my credit I paid the bill. So now, I am in fear that they will continue to perform a service I dont want and continue to bill me indefinitely. If my yard looked any better, I might not feel so bad about the experience, but after a full year of treatments plus a treatment this year, I can see no improvement.
Was never told that in the fine print was a clause stating once you ordered a service they continued year after year without authorization. Next thing I knew there were warning signs in my lawn and a bill for service I never authorized. Then when I called and complained the lady just told me it was in the fine print and I should have read it and I was s.o.l. I work in the service industry and if I showed up at a customers house, did work and then billed them without them knowing or authorizing, Id probably get sued.

I looked up lawn care services in my area somehow these people got my cellphone number and have called my phone 8X in 45minutes... I never requested to be contacted by this company much less harassed. I havent used this company and n after having my phone called 8x in less than an hour i dont think i will. DONT LET THESE PPL GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING BOTHERED REPEATEDLY
Ignoring a large NO SOLICITOR sign to knock on the door to ask whether we got the flyer you left there and then to lie about doing business with our immediate neighbor guarantees we will not choose your company.
Avoid this company at all costs. Shady business practices and no customer service available to discuss issues. Employee left my outside water valve leaking and was very shady about invoicing (charging for parts not broken). I was skeptical, so before his next appointment I left a sprinkler head turned directly at my fence and programmed my system to run 3 times a day. After I got home from work and the rep said he came and fixed things up, I noticed the system was still running 3 times a day and the head was still facing the fence. The local manager called me once and asked what happened. I explained the situation and he never called me back. Three days later, the employee I called to complain about called me directly and claimed, Many people are happy with his work. When I told him the above situation he said Im sorry but maybe you just need to cancel and hung up. AVOID THIS COMPANY. The worst company I have ever had to deal with.

I have yet to have the services complete and I am already feeling uneasy about the company. I am so desperate to have my sprinklers fix (all local companies are booked due to HOA) that I am going go through with the agreement for them to look at my sprinklers and will update according to the service performance. However, so far my experience with the company is just through setting up service and the company seems desperate for money.
Get your contract in writing with these people. Beware paying a contract up front. You spend less money, but then you are at their mercy. Promised an aeration two weeks ago.I got everything mowed, watered and marked. Aeration did not happen, so I requested a refund, which seemed to go easily enough. Now today, two weeks later, with long-grass, dry soil and no flags, some ding-dong shows up and aerated my lawn without my permission. The sprinkler system is turned off and blown out, so there is no way to assess the damage.

Good, to Meh, to Bad to Why am I Still Dealing With This? Went on the website, typed in my information just to see pricing, plans, etc. About 5 minutes later I get a phone call from Tru Green. The guy was super nice, pretty informative and helpful. I told him my back yard is a mess and that its probably not worth including in the plan. He said plans cover both front and back yard and that theyve seen it all when it comes to lawns and they can help me. Great! I also signed up for their irrigation maintenance service because my sprinkler system hasnt been used in a while and it needs help. I paid for everything up front. All squared away. 5 minutes after I hang up, I get another call from Tru Green trying to get me to sign up. I explained I had already signed up. K, no problem. First sprinkler maintenance service happens. Their tech was excellent! Super nice, was thorough and helpful and spent time explaining everything to me. Bad news: my system is basically shot, He tells me that hell go back, cancel the irrigation plan and only charge what Ive pre-payed for the work and parts he used, but I should follow-up with them just to make sure. Cool, no problem. Couple weeks go by, no refund for the irrigation service. Call up Tru Green, ask why no refund yet. They say, oh it was never put in, here Ill do that now. Awesome, thanks. First service happens. They do a fertilizer, weed and pest spray in my front and back yard. A few days later I get a notice that the irrigation specialist is going to come by and (presumably) blow out my non-functioning sprinkler system as a service that should have been cancelled. Call them up, Hey this was supposed to be cancelled - oh, why? Cause my sprinkler system is not viable. Your tech said to cancel the irrigation service - Ok, Ill get that done. A couple days later, I see its actually been cancelled. Refund comes a few days later. Second lawn service, aeration. Tracking it from my phone. Tech shows up, tech leaves, service can not be competed. Get home; notice on the door says aeration couldnt happen because my soil is too hard. Please water for 2 weeks and well try again. Okaaaaay.... They come back 2 weeks later and its been raining for 2 weeks straight. Tracking on my phone: tech comes, tech leaves, service cant be completed. Notice on the door says, back yard needs to be re-sodded in the spring. Aeration not performed. At about this point, Im thinking this service probably isnt for me. I call, tell them that I need to cancel the service. They talk me out of it, say theyll remove the back yard from my plan, just service the front yard. Ok, but why, on two different occasions, did a tech come to my house and not make a note that the back yard was not viable to be serviced? And how do you make the new calculation for what the cost will be without the back yard? These questions were not answered. Third service. Tech shows up. Calls me (very nice person) Hey I cant get in to your back yard to do the service - Yeah, the back yard has been removed from the plan, you guys said I needed to re-sod the back yard in the spring. - .... ooooh. Ok. Well Ill go ahead and do the front lawn. - Are you aerating it today? - No, this is just a lawn feed and overseeding. - uh, ok, I guess the aeration will happen later? - yeah probably next week. So, at this point, Im done. Ive prepayed for the service, got a refund on the irrigation service, but no refund for the backyard and it seems like non of this is being communicated to their techs - who are all very nice people by the way. I cant talk to their customer service on the phone anymore because it makes my blood pressure go up. My wife calls. She gets them to cancel the service. Yay. 3 days later I get a notification that a tech will be out to perform service. My wife call back, oh it never got cancelled. Ill put that in right now. Last week in the mail, I got a bill. A bill for services Ive prepayed for, cancelled and never got a refund for. The saga continues.
We have a new home and a new seeded lawn.. It needed a lot of care to get it to grow thicker.. Trugreen has helped tremendously with their advice and continued service for us to achieve this.. New lawn.
Their employees drive around town like inconsiderate jerks. When I called the office to report an employee in a TruGreen truck cutting me off then flipping me off, the company didnt care and said they would potentially make a note of it in the employees file. Also note the fake reviews posted in early march claiming a green and perfect lawn - that doesnt happen in early march in Colorado.

I hired them to get my sprinklers up and running. They talked me into some of the other lawn services and I was relieved to have some help this summer as a busy professional single mother. Unfortunately, problem after problem ensued from there. I do not expect perfection but when I call customer service I was treated horribly rude even by the manager of the northern Colorado district. I was frankly shocked and dismayed. I was given the wrong information time and again and the original service I signed up for was never performed. They truly dont care about there service or treatment of their customers.
Everyone I come in contact with at Trugreen is nice and professional and my yard looks awesome! My grass is a shade of green that I thought only existed on Pinterest.
Most of us care more bout the lawn care then the commission.
The specialist was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Our lawn is the best looking in the area we live. This is due to TruGreens meeting all our needs. SUPER!!!
Edit: After speaking with all of the seemingly clueless customer service reps, I finally was contacted by a service manager. He worked with me to try and alleviate all of my concerns and answer my questions - he even offered to duplicate some services because he felt that the first ones were not done to his satisfaction. Although they were not able to help my lawn (not their fault, but my contractors), they were honest and straightforward in that regard, and said they wouldnt feel right continuing to charge me for services that probably wouldnt help my grass. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced! Spoke to three different reps to verify the time of my upcoming service so I could be home. I got home the day of service to see a note on my door that they had been there SIX HOURS BEFORE the scheduled time. The tech said to call him with questions but left no phone number; I called their main hotline and was told a message would be sent to the tech for him to call me. Of course, nobody called me so I called THEM, only to be told that they cant ever guarantee that messages get to their techs, and that there isnt even a way they can guarantee a time they show up! Keep in mind, I spoke to three different people who told me the exact opposite. I conveyed this to the rep and was hung up on. Honestly the worst company Ive dealt in a very long time
We set up mosquito service and was guaranteed that it would work immediately which it did not nor were we even able to tell the slightest difference. They came out and sprayed shortly after noon yesterday and we were outside last night with our children and neighbor kids and every one of us had multiple bites. They were so bad that we had to come inside. Ive always been pleased with the lawn services they offer but this is one service I would never get again. I watched the tech spray and didnt think by watching him that it would make any change in the Mosquitos and that was proven to us last night. We called to let them know and of course they said they couldnt come back out until Thursday which at that point we just decided to cancel that whole particular service.
I paid to receive mosquito spraying treatments over two weeks ago. When I paid, they said someone would be out for the first application in 5-7 days. I called because I had not heard from anyone and they said the first application was scheduled another week out. They said they could move it up and they had put me on the schedule for today. I called last night to double check I was on the schedule and come to find out I wasnt. I paid over $300.00 for a service I havent even been provided with. TruGreen is super quick to call and get your business, but they are horrible at the rest. I will be cancelling my service if they do not show up today.

Dont do it! Very unprofessional, and did not work. Entered our property without knocking on doors. Sprayed while dogs were out then proceeded too not close gate and my two dogs got out one of them being a puppy. Our lawn has more weeds than when they came and I just dont believe in TRUgreen.
Our yard looks tons better since we have been using Trugreen. The grass is much thicker and looks much healthier. Our technician, Cody Rogers, always takes the time to go over mowing and watering techniques with me.
Very bad service, they promise to get your lawn looking better with their applications. After a full year of applications and following their recommendations, I still have a lots of weeds problems and big bold spots in my lawn. I called the manager and he never returned my call, very bad service.
The staff here are friendly and always willing to go above and beyond for your lawn care needs.
Please note: This a review of my experience, and may not be indicative of other peoples experience. When I signed up, they werent up front about the costs to be charged. However that was easily dealt with through a phone call. Unfortunately, the service does absolutely no good. Ive still got weeds, and the only thing TruGreen managed to kill was my wifes spirea. I received a lot of calls from them trying to upsell me on various other services that I didnt want. I tried to cancel once because the pricing wasnt on point with what theyd said it would be. I was given a very aggressive hard-sell, and rather than waste more of my breath, I gave them one more chance and got back to work after trying to get the guy to listen to me for 10 minutes. I was finally able to cancel when I explained to customer service that the only thing they killed in my yard was a bush I didnt want killed. And Ive still got weeds in the lawn!! To be fair, I have not given them a chance to rectify the situation, so I dont know if they would or wouldnt make it right. At this point Ive been annoyed enough that Im willing to take the hit on this as a lesson learned. Im not pleased with the results Ive gotten, Im not pleased with the killing of the bush, and Im not pleased with the sales-calls. I hired a lawn service so I could have some things taken care of, not so I could field sales calls and continue to pluck weeds while watching decorative bushes die. I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.
Negative seven stars wasnt an option. They were alright for a bit, until they sprayed my neigbors dog in the face. Our neighbor has a big dog that likes to jump the fence to play with our small dogs, names maverick. One day they were out spraying our lawn when maverick decided to come over and play. The worker then proceeded to spray maverick in the face for the workers safety. Maverick lives at home with a 2 year old and would never hurt anything. Then when we called customer survive, and they were not helpful at all. When we told them what has happened, they said the worker was following protocol. He said that the dog was a vicious animal and were lucky that they didnt call the cops to put the dog down. They obviously have no concerns regarding the customers pets. Overall a very bad experience.
The drought has really been a disaster for the lawn the past two or three years. Even though Tru Green has tried valiantly to bring it to life. Watering has been restricted by the town. I cannot fault the service from TruGreen, the specialist or the number of times service has been performed. The birds gobble down the lawn seed before it can sprout, so the reseeding is far from successful, no fault of TruGreen. I have been a customer for years and have been satisfied, for the most part.

We hired trugreen to make our yard or help our yard look more beautiful this year. With high hopes and a wasted money. Our yard and flowers are completely fried and dead. We called customer service and talk to a very sweet lady that contacted the Loveland office. Why we waited for a phone call, they showed up at my house completely unannounced. From the time I open the door he was very rude and unprofessional. He showed up in a T-shirt shorts and shoes it couldve been somebody from down the street. The only way I new he was from trugreen was from his truck. The first words out of his mouth was Im here to look at the grass you say, you want us to replace. He then proceeded to walk to my backyard after I asked him to wait,why I put my dogs away. This whole trugreen experience has been nothing but a complete nightmare and a waste of money. If I could,I wouldnt even give them a star. Please dont waste your time or money.
It only to Tru Green 4 days to completely KILL my beautiful tree in my front yard. The leaves started turning brown, curling up and fallinf off in three days, then it rained an now I have dead leaves all over my front yard, driveway, street and the garage. But maybe next week sometime they can have someone come to take a look. A NOT happy new customer. DONT---------------
Burnt my lawn and failed to follow up 3 separate times to assess the damage. Then shows up 3 months later to asses and denies me a refund. What a scam.
Someone from TruGreen called to say that they are taking care of the lawns for some of our neighbors, mentioning the street where we live, and asked if they could do ours too. That cant possibly be true. All of the homes on our street as well as the entire neighborhood are patio homes and one landscape company--NOT TruGreen--fertilizes, waters and mows all of the lawns and common areas and does the snow removal too. TruGreen is not being honest in their sales tactics.
Wish I could put zero stars. The technicians are inconsiderate and discourteous. I (and my sick child) were woken up before 8 am because the TruGreen technician parked his truck across the street at my neighbors house and cranked his radio until the windows on my house rattled. Find a company who hires considerate service people! Loveland TruGreen clearly doesnt. Dont be fooled by the customer testimonials on the TruGreen site, these appear to be fabricated. Check out the reviews on Yelp as well wherein customers complain of being charged for services they didnt order or other poor business practices by this company. TruGreen has somehow managed to to have these put in the not recommended section of reviews but there are plenty bad reviews in this section for this company. BEWARE!
Efficient, knowledgeable, professional, effective and responsive. We especially appreciate personal interest in our satisfaction with their services AND the quality of service for the cost is an extraordinary value at our Greeley HOA. The negative reviews that I see, especially with regard to the technicians, has not been anywhere NEAR our experience in three years. If there has ever been a rare question about the accuracy of charges, the matter is easily cleared up within 24 hours. Highly recommended!
I fired the massive bureaucracy called TruGreen today after trying them for 10 months. I originally asked them out last October for a problem spot I had in one corner of yard, which turned out to be necrotic ring spot (or so they say). They told me that this might take a few years to get under control and they would have to be very careful about what they put on the lawn etc... I was impressed with the initial consultation. They cited some CSU studies for how to deal with the problem etc... Impressive and thorough, I thought...After the first visit they came out on their own schedule and each time they charged $71 for a visit. I was thinking this is pricey, but I am getting some professional treatment for a problem I I really don t know what to do with. They put a report on the door each time they left. Report for each visit thereafter, contained no mention of the original lawn issue. After three of so visits this spring, I called to ask why there was no special effort taking place for the reason I hired them. They dug into the notes and found that that didnt transfer any info from last fall over to 2015, so none of the service people in 2015 had a clue about why I had hired them. All 2015 visits were treated as if I had a standard - no issues lawn. They admitted they did not properly follow up. Then on 6-2, they came out for a single visit putting on 2 products and charged $142, calling it 2 applications. This year, my lawn looks half as good as it did in the last 2 years when I fertilized myself, except the Necrotic Ring Spot has subsided by itself. After I asked them out to specifically address the subsiding necrotic ring spot issue, they said, oh, well - sometimes it just gets better by itself. I have spent hundreds of dollars on this service in the last 10 months and I honestly do not know what I have received in return, aside from a drained bank account.
Their service is poor, after many disputes they continuously avoid calling back our following up when they promise.
