We met with Alonso for our initial design for our backyard. He was very professional and offered his opinion without making us feel obligated (we ended up going with his suggestion and we are extremely happy that we did). During the project we worked with Rigo . He was also very professional and kept us up to-date with the schedule throughout the project. Our yard looks fantastic and we are constantly recommending Dream Retreats to our family, friends, and neighbors. We plan to use them again in the future should we ever need landscaping design/changes.

The entire AJP team is just exceptional. Everything they did was ta a perfection with impeccable work ethics. We can’t wait to enjoy the beautiful backyard that they created for us .

Alonso built our pergola (based on a design we gave him)and it looks great. He and his crew were on time, professional and fast. Pergola was built in 4 days, just as he promised, and he did not go over the proposed budget. He used redwood which is high quality, and at a good price. We would definitely work with him again.

Alonso has everything you're looking for in a contractor; he offers a fair price, gets things done quickly, and stands by the quality of his work. He is also ON SITE with his crew for much of the project, which ensures quality control. He fully demo'd and re-poured a beautiful sand finished concrete slab patio in my backyard...but there was an issue with the sealer at the end. Unlike most contractors, I did not have to chase Alonso down to return to fix the issue. He was back at my property immediately, fixed the issue, and continued to make himself available should there be any remaining problems with the area.

I called a few companies to provide bids to: 1) remove our front lawn and replace it with natural plants, drip sprinklers and mulch 2) remove about 500 square feet of concrete in the backyard and replace it with artificial turf, along with planting vines along the walls 3) level existing sandstone and add decomposed granite in between 4) remove steep, concrete steps in the backyard and replace with a gradual wooden stepdown and 5) remove weeds on the side yard and add weed barrier, rocks and an orange tree. Alonso came on time for the estimate. He asked questions, took photos and measurements. About a week later I received an excellent quote. His crew followed all COVID precautions and worked so hard. One gentleman in particular was very sweet with my 10 month old son, who loved watching them work every day. The project took 11 days to complete. All throughout, Alonso made sure to ask questions and review items with me. He provided options for different items, such as the type of mulch and type of artificial turf (he brought samples for us to review). He was very kind. As an example, I selected all of the plants from the nursery and he offered to pick them up in his work truck. I highly recommend them! Their work looks fantastic. I've already had a few neighbors inquire about who did our landscaping

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with AJP Landscaping. Alonso was able to give me an honest quote that was not as inflated as other companies, but he delivered a great result. We didn’t have a design done beforehand and he is not a designer himself, but we were able to work together on it. I appreciated his patience with me, as this is my first time having landscaping work done at our home and I had a lot of questions. He was able to give valuable input and helped so much with all of the decisions that needed to be made. I would recommend AJP and Alonso to all friends and family for any work they needed. He always answered my messages promptly and always let me know if there was any clarification needed before moving forward. It was a pleasure working with him and his team. Great communication, great people and great work.

Ajp has done several projects for me over 2 years - front lawnscape and irrigation, low water plants, vegetable raised bed, floating tile pathway, concrete step and kerb repair, concrete ramp access with railing, backyard wooden door, monthly maintenance. Alonso ,the owner, is very attentive and responsive to our requests and complete each project to our satisfaction, on time and within estimated and agreed price. He is very easy to work with. We have had good experience with ajp and strongly recommend Alonso.

February 2022 – We have been working with AJP Landscape for several years now. Alonso and his team are fantastic. They’re professional, yet down to earth and easy to talk to. Their collaborative approach to new projects is much-appreciated, as Alonso brings clever solutions and a lot of experience to the table. In addition to the typical weeding and lawn care services, AJP Landscape has poured concrete walkways, installed a drip irrigation system, built fences, retaining walls, and worked with city inspectors in relocating a curb cut/driveway for us. The work has always turned out great (I’ve lost count of the compliments I’ve received on his fencing) and I will continue to recommend Alonso and AJP Landscape.
