We are just finishing up our first year with Independence and the results have been fantastic. Weve tried other lawn care companies in the past and Independence has been by far the best. Chris Oliver is always very responsive and reliable. Thank you again for a great first year!

I worked with Brandon and his team did an awesome job. Our backyard was in really rough shape after we got trees pulled. Independence Landscaping came out, cleaned the area, ground down the slope, and laid down the sod. Feels great to have a functional backyard! Definitely recommend.

I can t say enough good things about the customer service and the results I get from Independence landscape. They offer a number of different lawn care regimens specific to the client needs. Over the years, I ve tried two other lawn services and knowing that it takes years to build a good lawn, I ve been patient and then disappointed by other companies. Here are some things that make me a customer for life: I get a telephone call from a friendly employee one or two days ahead of the next planned Treatment - Independence checks the weather and does treatments one or two days before rain is expected to improve the efficacy. When I get a reminder call, if I have any specific concerns, they make note of them and I promptly receive a call back from Brandon my Arlington neighborhood representative. Brandon takes time to understand my questions or requests and follows up with action within the week; this year, they worked with me to correct a problem I was having with wire grass/string grass in my front lawn. Its been persistent for 30 years and other companies had either told me it was crabgrass or there was nothing that could be done about it. Independence applied three treatments this spring that killed the string grass this summer and now allow me to have a beautiful lawn here this fall and I m sure an even nicer one in the spring. Brandon has gone out of his way over the years and his crews are thorough reaching every corner of my yard. The grass seed that they use is first rate. i m no expert, but apparently it is pre-treated with fertilizer and I observed it germinating in about half the time my neighbors store-bought seed took. I read that grass takes about 10 days to germinate. If I set my sprinkler timer to water four minutes every six hours, I get germination with their seed in about five days. Even the new grass is lush and beautiful. They also leave behind a small sign in the yard with instructions for aftercare for each treatment and explaining what was done that day. The plan Im on has them doing something to my lawn about 10 times a year. There s just no way that I could keep up with the consistency I get from using an outside company and their quality is for better than I could ever get my own or from the services I ve tried in past years. They just don t even come close. I look forward to many future years of service from Independence .

Weve been using Independence Landscape for our lawn treatments for two years now. We also had them do spring cleanup the first year as well. They assign a service quality manager to their accounts. Ours is Allen Safrit. We met Allen initially for the estimate and have found him to be knowledgeable, professional, responsive and proactive. Independence is a bit higher in price compared to the company we had been using, but, like the saying goes... you get what you pay for. Their treatment plan works great. I had been doing the fertilizing, spraying, etc. for many years and our lawn looked great. But a few years back I thought I would save some time and as the cost was going to be similar we went with another company that initially worked out well. And then we came upon Independence. They were in our neighborhood and we thought we would give them a try. We are so glad we did. Their approach and treatment plan works great. So great that some of our neighbors have asked us who we use. We cant say enough about Allen. He really makes the difference. Its nice to be able to speak with someone who knows us and our property. In fact, we are considering going with their tree and shrub program next season. First rate experience and first rate manager. Thanks Independence and Allen for taking care of us so well.

I opened my front door this afternoon to find them mulching and trimming one of our flower beds. The problem is we did not hire them. They also hacked up our bushes and did not cleanly trim them.

We have used Independence Landscaping for several years. They are very nice but my yard has stayed average looking for the price. The staff never addressed our concerns. Very little communication from them. Some spots look better than others but we have changed lawn services.

These guys were pulling out of the shop early in the morning driving around like NASCAR drivers on the wrong side of the road. Honking their horns at everybody swerving in and out of lanes speeding. Both trailers and white company vehicles. Are you kidding me? Response, Yes im sure. I was on a road trip to New Hampshire and we were stopping for a bite to eat at the IHOP right up the road from you. I was so pissed that your drivers almost ran us off the road with my children in the car that I sat there and looked up your company and wrote this review. Just stand outside of your entrance in the morning when your guys leave for the days work and watch how they leave with your companies name all over their vehicles. I know its not your fault but man.

The company is very responsive and goes above and beyond to make the customer happy. I m impressed with the service we have received so far.

As a Retired Army Vet., just moving into my home, I decided to try a landscaping company, that one of the neighbors recommended, but I had to get rid of them, months later! The main reason for that termination, was that they did not bag up the grass, as expected and they were cutting my grass at irregular intervals and some times 3 weeks or more before I would see them again. Needless to say, I wasnt going to try another landscaping company again; until my wife read about Independence Landscape. We looked into them more thoroughly and was impressed about what we read. Needless to say, it was a call that I never regretted! The first impression was that of the office staff! They were kind and professional about handling my request, and within a day or two I received a call from Chris, who came out to my house the same day! Chris, made an assessment of my property, took measurements, and most of all he sit down with me to go over my landscaping needs, making me feel like part of his team, by including me in a two-way decision making effort, in getting the best services for my yard! When Chriss team arrived a couple of days later, I was very impress! They let me know that they were on site from Independence, and walk with me around the property, to get a feel of the property layout. Afterwards they immediately jumped into action and did their job; in cutting, trimming, and bagging my grass. they took extra care in not to damage our flowers in their efforts. when blowing the grass, to take up, they had gotten some loose grass on my car, and before I knew it, they were wiping it off! What Landscaping company would do that? In fact the cutting team would not leave until I walked the property with them, to give my approval of a job well done!!! Thank you Independence Landscape! The price was affordable, quality was outstanding, and the entire team were and are Professionals one and all! Keep up the Great work, that you do! I look forward to our long relationship!

The team at Independence Landscape did a great job renovating our small townhouse backyard. From the demo to the rebuild, the process went seamlessly, which is very impressive because we were very difficult backyard to get into as the middle house. We didn t have to worry about anything when they worked. They cleaned up perfectly, and everything was on time as scheduled. They were trustworthy and did a great job.

I can not say enough good things about the professionalism, quality and value that Independence brings to projects. We use them for our regular lawn maintenance and special projects such as dealing with clearing our property of these weeds that turned into Thorn trees that are dangerous to remove. My yard always looks amazing. I mow it myself, but Independence takes care of keeping up with fertilizing, grub and weed. Excellent service.

I used this company to redesign and install a buried drainage system to redirect rain water away from my home. The project involved removing an above ground system that was beginning to show signs of wear, and installing buried downspout extenders with clean out valves. From start to finish, the project took 3 full days for a crew of three. Andrew Meiser is the sales rep who worked with me to create a plan for the job. His proposal was meticulously constructed, and the price for the work was fair. Andrew was on site every day, and answered all of my questions. He went the extra mile for me, adding an extension to a gutter not originally included in the scope of the work, and grading a dip in the lawn where a tree had been removed years ago. When the crew lost the line of a flower bed, he responded to my concerns by revisiting the site and redrawing the line. Sod and mulch were applied at the finish; it is really almost impossible to tell that the work was performed, except for the fact that my once unsightly above ground drainage system has now been removed. Andrew is personable, friendly, responsive, trustworthy and helpful. The crew of Jorge, Eswin and Florencio are also extremely hardworking and personable. I couldn t be happier with my experience with Andrew, his crew, and this company.

But I was unhappy with them and I called Independence landscape and they came right out. They got my yard on the right program it needed and Im already starting to see signs of success. Brandon and his team have been very professional and were able to address all of the concerns. I originally had Brandon come out for a quote, and after I received all the quotes, I decided to go with him and his team. They leveled out the backyard and installed new Sod. Locally owned and operated, Independence Landscape has made great improvements to our lawn. Would recommend over any of the National chains.

I used them for Mosquito control all last Spring and Summer and it made a huge difference in me being able to enjoy my back patio! I used to only be able to sit outside for about 10 minutes before I would have to go inside due to the mosquitos biting me so much. Once Independence started spraying I was able to sit out there for hours unbothered! Definitely recommend!

We have used Independence for every lawn care and landscaping project from the day we moved into our house. They have fenced, regraded, and sodded our backyard; re-landscaped our front walkway front porch step (and used the previous walkway slate to build us a custom fire pit); and are currently installing a new patio that s something over 800 sq feet. The owner, Chad, is incredibly responsive, and, on short-notice, was able to have a crew come out to temporarily relocate some of our front foliage so it did not get damaged during some renovation work. We have recommended Independence Landscaping to all our friends and have received numerous compliments from our neighbors for how nice their work is.

The price is high, but the service is average. By the way, take your time to read the contract carefully. You may be surprised if you end up with disputes. And good luck! I don t appreciate your reply with so much detail that may review your customer s privacy. It s more like a retaliation to a customer s free speech right. The tree was not healthy when it was planted. The schedule was delayed for weeks. The tree might have been in the stock shelf for long time. Anyway, I don t want to argue with you on the reasons it died this year. It goes nowhere and you are professionals who can come up with a thousand reasons to blame me or the innocent deers. If you don t want to make your customers happy, I have the right to walk away. The argument is ugly and won t help your business. As a long term customer of your service, I saw no reason you need to argue over such a small amount of dispute. If I were in your position, I would rather keep my customer happy and continue with the business.

Independence Landscape has provided us with lawn mowing/maintenance and bed cleanup and mulching services for the past 2 years. I must say at the outset that I do VERY few of these reviews. I may have done three in the past 10 years, but that could be an exaggeration. I must also say that I have VERY high standards for excellence. (See also above for cause and effect.) I am doing one at this time for Independence Landscape and Lawn Care because they recently exceeded my expectations. I started using them years ago to take care of my lawn, and progressed to having them do pest and disease management for all of my trees and shrubbery. More recently, I had them do a spring face lift of my yards, front and back. Before their work, neither yard was visible thanks to the weeds, vines, fallen leaves, and miscellaneous invasive who-knows-what that had found a home in the landscaping rocks. The backyard now looks as if it had been newly landscaped, and the front is so beautiful no one any longer thinks the property has been abandoned. It s also important to note that Independence Landscape is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. Whether I am requesting a quote for new work or simply have a question, my rep Brandon always returns my call quickly. For all of the above reasons, I am giving them a 5-star rating. I enjoy mowing my lawn, but my shrubs were way overgrown and I was looking for a company that could edge, weed, and mulch my flower beds. I had a holly bush that needed to be removed, three small trees that needed to be limbed up, and a Rose of Sharon that needed to be brought under control. I struggled to find a company that would do the work I needed, for reasons unknown to me. I finally found Independence Landscape through a recommendation and gave them a call. They responded same day that I requested the quote, came out the same week to provide an estimate, and got us on the schedule within three weeks. The ended up having a cancellation so they were able to do the work even sooner. The results were wonderful and I couldnt be more pleased with how communicative, polite, professional and well priced they were. I will 100% use them again. (Note: I forgot to get photos right away, so these are over a week old, but still show the great work they did.)

Not only does our lawn look incredible but their customer service is fantastic and what separates them from the competition. Curt and Team are always willing to answer questions in a highly responsive manner. The same Team services our yard each year, meaning that they know our property. They remember us, they answer questions and are incredibly friendly. The entire Independence operation goes the extra mile to make sure to make sure we feel appreciated and that we are getting incredible service and value.

We tried for years to get our grass to grow and to get rid of the weeds. We went through 2 different companies that promised us everything but did not deliver. Independence Landscape has been amazing. In less than a year, our lawn is now beautiful and lush and green, and for once, we are not an embarrassment to our neighborhood! Great service- lawn looks great. Husband is very picky about the grass not being cut too short for the type of grass we have and they do a perfect job and cut it the perfect length. They come every week on the same day, very consistent, I never have to think about it. Great value, for the work done. Highly recommend!

These guys are great. We were skeptical at first since they were taking over for a longtime Landscaping Service that decided to close their doors, but they have won us over. They do outstanding quality of work and are extremely attentive to detail. Cesar Morales David is the team leader for the mowing team and he is fantastic and has helped us immensely. The mere mention that they missed a spot and they respond immediately. They also work with the uniqueness of our lawn and recognize spots that tend to hold water and dont use the heavy commercial mowers in that area. Cutting, trimming and edging is all done extremely professionally. The Area Manager Brandon Caycedo met with us before the first cutting and we told him our concerns particularly our gate operation and wet area and he passed that information on to the Mowing Team Leader. Well done guys we love the work you do for us!!!! Our neighbors were impressed and have added your services too.

Could not recommend Independence enough! Hired them to de-weed, grade, and gravel under my deck. The team showed up on-time to the minute at the early end of the appointment window, did flawless work on what I hired them for and then went above-and-beyond cleaning up out of scope areas of the lawn and patio, including removing clippings and trash that I generated the day prior and hadnt gotten around to picking up yet (at no extra cost). Very impressed!

Ben, Connor, and the entire Independence Landscape Team are absolute masters at their craft and some of the most professional, responsive individuals I ve ever worked on a project with. The job included designing/redoing our frontyard bed, installing downspouts, building a 330 square foot backyard patio bordered by a dry creek, installing natural stone steps leading up to the patio, and designing/executing new backyard landscape beds. Our backyard - which is on a slope and not a huge space to begin with - looks out onto a shared driveway. Given that, my wife and I struggled with how to create a sense of privacy in our backyard without having a fence installed. Of all the professionals we met with initially, Ben, our Project Manager and Connor, who did a lot of the design work, had the clearest vision of how to get it done. Both were mindful and in tune with what was important to my wife and I. Both were creative in working within the parameters of our space to deliver what is in my opinion, the very best job that anyone could have done. Big credit to the the teams that came out and did the work as well, Cheto included. The results are stunning and my wife and I couldn t be happier.

Ben Rupert was instrumental in providing a landscape plan in several areas in my yard that sorely needed attention. In the back yard, a tree that had been there for over 30 years had to be removed, and it left a desolate area. The large electrical box in front of this area was even more apparent without the tree. When entering the yard from the gate, there was nothing that was welcoming. Ben came up with a plan, and his team implemented it beautifully. There were other areas in the yard that also needed attention, and with Ben s help, each were improved more than I could have ever imagined. His team removed my existing paver walkway from the extension of the driveway, hauled away the debris, extended and buried the below grade downspout into the back of the property and installed concrete sand to level and finished the back walkway with Techo-Bloc Eva Pavers. He installed River Jack Stone so that the water from the downspout would help alleviate drainage issues. He created a landscape bed and installed a Forest Pansy Redbud tree and decorative grass around the electrical box. Ben also improved other landscape beds and installed Techo-Bloc Edge Stone around them. The beds were cleaned, and mulch was installed. And finally, in the front of the house Ben s team removed the old Azalea bushes, installed new soil, and installed Camellia bushes and mulch to finish it. I could not be more pleased with the crew s professionalism and craftsmanship. I highly recommend Ben Rupert and the Independence Landscape & Lawn Care Team.

Mark and the crew were great at renovating our whole yard. They started our work on schedule and kept everything to the original estimate and plan. The crew cleaned up at the end of every day and each morning made sure to check in with us before starting. They made sure we knew what work was scheduled for that day and made sure we didnt have any questions/concerns. Mark even helped us coordinate logistics with another company installing a new sprinkler syatem. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to do major.landscaping projects or simple yard maintenance.

Ben and Jorge and his crew are THE BEST!! Our garden was a real issue for us and weve been wanting to upgrade for literally years. Chad worked closely with us on this project several years ago. He made the process so easy, discussed options with us and came back with a design we were very happy with. Then we had to pause the project (new baby on the way). We came back to it late this year and this time we worked with Ben. He was such a *pleasure* to work with! We pulled out the original design to review, and he helped us make a couple of adjustments to reflect our evolving tastes. Ben was knowledgeable, creative and thoughtful, finding solutions to fit our new lifestyle. I had about a million questions and he answered each and every one quickly and thoroughly. He was almost as excited for our project as we were! On installation day, Ben showed up right on time with Jorge (project foreman) and his crew. Let me tell you, they were FABULOUS! Professional, efficient, meticulous - Jorge and his guys completed the entire job in just over six hours. They took absolute pride in their work, and simply transformed the exterior or our house. Im beyond thrilled with the results - my neighbor caught me doing the happy dance in the middle of my front yard before the crew was even finished.
