After seeing what TruGreen had done for my neighbors lawn I decided to give it a shot. The weeds that I struggle with yearly are already dying off just a week after treatment. My lawn needed some extra help and I can t wait to have the lawn I ve always wanted with the help of TruGreen!

Where is experience runaway they call you 100 times try to sell you on everything. I try to set a boundary to say we don t need it anymore and he kept on bothering and bothering him to appoint that I had to say no we don t need it and then hung up the phone like a rude person just wants to sell and not be run away from the service. All their products are poison.

When you play a premium for a service you expect the service. I do not have time to baby sit the service people. With the exception of the first/second service rep visit things have gone down hill. I have to stand outside so they see me and do the whole yard. If I am not home I have to watch my cameras and then call and fight for a new visit or refund. Today I requested a remains refund of about $178 since it is 11/9 and no point in putting anything down since cleaning leaves will blow any treatment away. Very disappointed with area manager as well asked multiple time for quote and each time given a ridiculous number and long wait periods. Hopefully I will see my promised credit Just wanted to update: TruGreen finally did correct the error and credit my account.

When a company calls you using not their company name I asked for a quote and got called 1000 times. This last call I received wasnt their number. True Green is acting like scammers so gross

The tracking app texted me that the service technician was in the area and gave frequent updates. They started around 7:30am. The tech was just 30 minutes away for about 3hrs. At one point it notified me he was in front on my property - he was not. He told me he had trouble finding my property. This was a lime application. The summary stated the 174lbs of lime was applied. I doubt that spreader holds that much weight. I did not see the tech go back to refill the spreader but I could have missed that.

I was trying to get a basic quote for some lawn care and was hoping I could put in area needing attention on the website, but it just made you put all your information in to get a quote and since then I have been nothing short of harassed via email, texts and calls constantly from multiple different people at TruGreen, from numbers ranging from Manchester, NH to Indianapolis. It s an awful way to conduct business

Their scheduling has gotten worse and worse over time. I used to get warned a week ahead of time for scheduled service so I actually had a chance to reschedule. Now they just text me when theyre on the way without any warning at all. When theyre already on the way you cant reschedule through the app or with their automated phone system. You have to call the 800 number and try to push the right buttons to get a human to reschedule you. I dont know whats going on here - maybe theyre trying to fill someones work day without caring to warn customers in advance?

service is good. Marketing is terrible. Constant phone calls and texts after closing the deal asking if I had mad a decision on accepting the quote, which I had from one of their other local distributors. Even after notifying them, the texts, phone calls and emails continued.

Horrible customer service. Glad I realized it in time. Asked for a quote for lawn care, they upsold me services I didn t need or ask for. Sales rep (Scott McDonough) hounded me, calling multiple times a day, every day. He forged my signature on the contract, charged my card, and tried to get the first service done before I even had a chance to review the contract. When I called him on it, he told me I already paid and that he couldn t help me, then hung up on me. Twice. Shady sales practices, dreadful customer service. I m in sales for a living and if I dealt with a customer that way I d be fired immediately. Totally unacceptable.

Good job but scheduling coordination could be improved.

The most important thing for me is timely communication and scheduling. This company shows up when they say they will be here and that way I can make confident arrangements on my end. Billing is easy and extremely helpful when I become absent minded. Our grass here at the school is in great shape, which really says something, especially when you factor in that our field is in use from 8am to 8pm Mon- Fri.

So I felt as though everytime they came I had to watch them to make sure they did the whole lawn. On their last visit as I watched I noticed again that the tech missed a section, when I went to let him know about it he laughed in my face and walked away to get his equiptment back off his truck to finish the job. I am getting estimates from a different company now. Good luck with these guys

Very punctual , all tho I do feel like the technician sped up through the process and missed a few spots on my lawn but after speaking with the rep they insured if they missed something that they would be back around to spray again. So it s a waiting game for now.

I ve been trying to get someone out to look at my lawn. My calls go to a call center each time. Today I reached a guy named Sal. I told him I m going to hold off on paying my bill until I can talk to a mgr/supervisor. He said if I waited too long to pay he d be knocking on my door. Said he s in NY and that isnt too far to keep him away. A threat? Creepy? Uncalled for? I m not past due and have been a customer for over 10 years.

I was scheduled for Wednesday 5-24, they never came and changed the date to Thurs, 5-25. never showed up on that day either. Then they told me they could not come for another week. I canceled my account. I also paid for grub prevention and had grubs for 3 years in a row. I do not recommend TruGreen

Update! (Original post below). Since receiving the boilerplate response from their Customer Service team below, I have once again had to call for my appointment to get scheduled.. they didnt show up! So I called again and they said it was never scheduled, but NOW it was scheduled. guess what? they didnt show up again! It sounds like Im making this up but i promise Im not. Avoid this company at all costs, or at least the Londonderry branch. They are completely unreliable and dont care to fix their mistakes beyond superficial comments like the one below. Extremely unreliable service. it s my fault for sticking with them. I ve had tru green tick and mosquito service for three years. They are supposed to come every 30 days, however every single year they ll go 40/50/60 days without showing up or reaching out. Then I call them and they say they ll be there in a week, but most times (and I m not exaggerating by saying most ) they still don t show up and I have to explain this to some random customer service agent in another state who is so sorry but cannot really help. Even when they do show up, half the time they have the wrong information and don t match the service request. I ve never written a review before, but this company is truly one to avoid. I kid you not that I ve had to make 30+ calls over these three years to correct their service. I m itchy.

They lie about spraying your lawn. We just - supposedly - had our lawn sprayed for mosquitos and the past two nights Ive been eaten alive on our screened-in porch by the blood-sucking fiends. Why do I pay for this service??

Lawns did not get enough water and therefore burnt, but the weeds stayed green.

My service operator Tanya was very knowledgeable and covered all my concerns. She addressed my prior applications. I hope to have Tanya for all the rest of my applications.

OK, I am a multi property multi state client. This is my first year with the property in NH. I am somewhat happy with the results. The front yard looks better, so we are good. The back yard is worse and I fear they are not applying the fertilizer. This happened in RI and we caught it and they fixed it. I left a message to talk to someone about corrective measures about the back and no one called. About a week ago I get a call from a person named Scott telling me they did a service and he was calling about issues they discovered. GREAT!!! Someone responded. When I said that it was good he was calling about the issues regarding the backyard, he said no, he was not. I said why not and he hung up. This was noting more than an outbound caller soliciting for more services. Not cool. I am writing this to advise people to be careful. The guarantee is a feel good measure and service varies from location. I am hoping someone calls me back, but not banking on it. The man did not even know how to respond. He could have said I am not calling about that issue, but I will have someone contact you. Too bad, it takes much to keep a client and only one bad experience to lose one. I know this first hand as I am a business owner myself.

I had really high hopes that were shattered. Scott M., the sales representative in the beginning of the season was a smooth talker and made it seem like I would have phenomenal service; however, he was non responsive when problems occurred. It felt like a full time job trying to get my lawn serviced as promised. Parts of my lawn look fabulous...the parts they regularly missed do not. I think the mosquito spray helped; however, not as much as I had hoped. When I cancelled my service, customer service became very responsive again.

This company will steal money from you. I called this company to pay my service agreement in full and explained I no longer want to continue my service plan. At this time I had a few services left to complete on the agreement. They explained I was paid in full and I would no longer receive service after the remaining services were complete. To my surprise they continued to provide services after the agreement and billed me. I called and explained I had canceled my agreement and they said they had no record of this. So reluctantly I paid and again asked for the plan to be canceled. They agreed and said I was all set. To my surprise I received another bill. This time I refused and they put this invoice into collections. I have paid the collection company and I am posting this review to share my experience and hopefully save someone else from this scam. Any consumer considering this company to please be cautious.

I just cancelled TruGreen today and I feel relieved. I used them in 2020, 2021, and one visit for 2022. The experience has been awful to say the least. In 2020, I dealt with a yard tech that had language that was unacceptable, he would swear about everything - he said it was hot out there. Trugreen skipped one of the services that year (2020) and still billed me. They easily cancel numerous times on each of the services before ever showing up. I want to be home when they come to make sure they show up. Even though you have 6 services, thats not true, they charge me for 6 in 2020, and only came 4 times but it was prepay for 6 visits, they also just skipped one service and still billed me. It was only 4 visits for 2020, but prepaid for 6. Last year, I received 5 out of 6 services, but prepaid for 6. I went out and asked the tech last fall what he was doing, and he said fertilizing the lawn for winter, in November - I get that. He then asked me if he had to do the whole lawn, and I said yes. I received a bill for two services for that one visit. They bill me for four visits in the fall, and this explains why I have so many weeds in my yard throughout the year. Yes, when they come out their chemicals kill the weeds, but they linger for weeks until they rot. I don t understand why my lawn needs four fall treatments, and in the spring and summer it looks awful but great for our thanksgiving dinner. I prefer the lawn to look nice in the spring and summer and maybe early fall. This year I just had my first lawn treatment, they did half the lawn, my wife and I watched him, and we were just disgusted with this, so we cancelled the service. If it helps my lawn area for treatment is .34 acres.

The service is awful. They show, are here for 5 Minutes and run around, then leave. Lawn does not look like they do anything, no one at TrueGreen cares and No response from Management.

Terrible service here in NH. I paid to have service and for 2 weeks they kept cancelling me and changing the date they were coming. Funny always changed the date from a sunny day to a rainy day, they knew they wouldnt come on a rain day. Very disappointed. I will never pay 1st again before a job is done. Too bad for them we had a bigger property for them to do on Dockham shore in Gilford. We hired someone else. Friends in Massachusetts had no problem. Guess the ones in NH are awful another friend told us. Very disappointing. I Did receive my money back though. Guess that was good read reviews before hiring. ]

Filled out on-line form to get a quote for hydroseeding more than a week ago , never heard from anyone, would not recommend this company for anything!

Horrible service....they cancel and reschedule all the time. They dont analyze your lawn at all...they come random and allegedly treat your lawn...my lawn has never looked worse...dont use them..

A service should save you work and time. TruGreen kept missing entire treatments because they have staffing issues. So, I got tired of calling and emailing, it wasnt saving me time so I moved to another service (Lawn Doctor). That being said, I got a good year of service out of Lawn Doctor and then they did a really poor treatment where entire rows of my Lawn didnt gets treated and my Lawn looks like a green zebra. Basic advice, dont pay any of these Lawn services up front, the thing they are best at is convincing you to save money by paying the year up front, its worth the extra money to be able to move to another service when they start providing bad service.

I am editing my review. I was frustrated at the lack of communication and the missed application for pest control. However, they did reach out to me to make things right and I appreciate that. They took the time to figure out the issue and correct it. The pest control application was applied and now I am back in the routine rotation. I was home when the service was performed and they did everything that was expected.

I signed up up for yearly service and was charged an extra fee of $110 for lime application that I never agreed on. I tried canceling the remaining service and keep getting the run around

I do not recommend them at all. Stay away, especially if you go to work every day. They show up on your property, leave, and you receive a message saying the work is complete. We advised them about our irrigation system, and they told us to flag the sprinkle heads to avoid damage. They saw we had an invisible dog fence, and they did the aeration too deep and ended up even damaging the invisible dog fence and an irrigation pipe.

To the trugreen truck and trailer that does 45 in a 20 down my road in Portsmouth every 3 weeks, I ll be back with another 1 star review each time Mgmt, get your field workers under control.

I hope management checks the names of the service technicians for my last 2 lawn treatments. They were friendly, professional, courteous, and did a great job with the lawn application. The technicians applying the chemicals were very careful not to get near our garden, shrubs and trees. They followed the application plan and covered the entire area missing no boundaries. These 2 gentlemen should be used as an example and mentor new technicians. Also, the chemical they use is effective on killing lawn weeds and fertilizing the lawn. The only thing I can think of that I dislike about True Green is their never ending phone calls trying to sell mosquito and bug control treatments which are expensive and in my case unnecessary.Excellent experience well trained and professional lawn applicators. Im overall very happy with the service.

Trugreen came out and did a great job aerating and seeding my lawn with a grass/ clover mix per request. Employees were very professional and told me what was being put down and the process of how they were doing it.

Our lawn was completely bare in one spot. Just dirt. Moss was growing up in between the grass. After a season of True Green caring for our lawn, it looks great. Only reason Im not giving a 5 star is that they dont tell you after the first year, they come back automatically and charge you per visit.

Do NOT use TruGreen. Look for another option! My lawn did not improve, they did not apply the products that I had agreed upon, the service reps lie on the phone. When Ive called to speak with a service rep the hold time was excessive - their recording said 1-2 hours. If you have another option, I would use it. I initiated service in the spring of 2020. I explained my biggest problem was weed control - my lawn was full of weeds. I also paid in advance for the fall seed and aeration service. Trugreen did the seeding on the first visit, and also put down pre-emergent weed control. I called to question this because I wanted the weeds controlled before grass seed was put down. They agreed that the seeding should not have happened when it did. Now, a year later, my lawn is no better off than prior to me using their services. The service reps are pleasant, but do nothing to resolve issues. IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER LAWN CARE SERVICE IN YOUR AREA, USE THEM INSTEAD OF TRUGREEN!

Techs are very knowledgeable and explain the best method for my lawn

My lawn doesn t look any better than my neighbors lawns who don t even fertilize their lawn! I ve had to call back several times for repeated applications due to it not being performed well, and when you do have to call them, call wait times are horrendous - 1 to 3 hours. When you choose the option for them to call you back, they never do. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

The tech was walking around my house and when I went out to ask what he was doing he said putting down pre emergent. I explained that I just planted grass and that I never asked for this service . At that point he said he was supposed to be at house number 4 and I told hime the mailbox he parked next to has a big 6 on it. He apologized and moved down to my neighbors house and did a single loop around her yard before leaving which did not come close to covering her lawn. It is obvious to me that this person did not put a full application on her lawn but she paid for it. Poor workmanship for sure with this outfit.

2 plus hour wait time to speak with someone, unacceptable. Over charged and undelivery, unacceptable. Paid in full in February and we re in May and haven t heard from TruGreen or had a service... unacceptable

I used this company for 4 years and they were good, until some salesman called me up this winter trying to sell me something that ended up not being what I needed at all, I spent HOURS on the phone trying to fix this and go back to my old service and they just kept screwing it up over and over. When I called to just cancel they said I was already canceled.

After some misunderstanding between sales and the services received. Trugreen was able to resolve some misunderstandings and came out red of charge to rectify any issues I have been having. Explain services they do provide and letting me know of some remedies for the services they don t. We re happy with the service and efforts out in to rectifying and making sure we are able to maintain our lawn.

If I could put negative stars, I would write a new review every single day for a decade just to let EVERYONE know what a bad and disreputable company this is. Truly dishonest to the core. They have cancelled with bogus excuses for four weeks now. Meanwhile despite spraying ourselves head to toe, my 9 year old brother, my boyfriend, two of my friends and my mother have been BITTEN by ticks. It is a very bad tick year! Every time we call to get a refund so we can reschedule with someone who - idk - might actually show up, they refuse - saying that someone will come shortly. They don t. Never. Not once. They don t even bother to cancel ahead of time. Yesterday they cancelled THREE HOURS AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME because of a broken machine . It is now 3:30pm the next day and we haven t received so much as a call. Our service isn t rescheduled. I call the 1-800 number daily asking for a simple call back from the local branch so I can sort this out and save my family from tick borne neurological disease and they can t be bothered to so much as reach out. FOUR WEEKS OF PROMISING WITH NOT SO MUCH AS A CALL. We prepaid FOR THE YEAR and they won t even call back. Go elsewhere. Run away from TruGreen as fast as you possibly can. If you ve had good experiences elsewhere, don t worry - the NH branch receives more complaints than the entire rest of the UNITED STATES (minus NJ) I was told today. Seriously. Don t even bother trying.

Looking for something to treat our lawn. They came in April to do the initial application. Didnt come back again until June 11. End of May another sales rep came by to try and sell tree and shrub service saying our lawn is coming along nicely.... Then was charged 2x for our second application on June 11. Looks intentional as they wrote two tickets the same day and just changed the wording slightly on the two tickets probably hoping we wouldnt notice. Trying to call and get refunded the 99.95 service that was charged twice and its impossible to get ahold of anyone. Since they took 3 months in between applications they probably figured to charge twice hoping we wouldnt notice to get them caught up with the services they told us they would perform.

I prepaid, and now they won t come to service my lawn. They came once in May, when they were supposed to come in March. We re now in July and I ve been told every week for the last 3 weeks that they will be here by a certain date. Those dates always come and go without the service. I ve requested our money back, and will spend just a little more money for a good reliable landscaping company in town. Very Disappointed!

The President and Senior management of this company ought to fired for the grief they put their middle management and technical staff through - trusting one of the poorest websites and on- line experiences that may exist in any industry. Nothing ever happens as promised - lies, misrepresentation,lack of knowledge and total lack of follow through and professionalism. Outrageous and you all should be embarrassed for your lack of competence and continuing ineptness!!!!!. My advice ................Get new leadership before you blow it all.

Used mosquito and bug treatment from this guys. First service was on time and worked about great for three weeks then went ineffective. Second service I pulled in closebut did not last a week. I have been trying to get reservice but no luck. Dont prepay.

Tru-green has the worst customer service system available in the nation. If youre new and thinking of hiring them, think twice and I would recommend you get bids from at least THREE local lawn guys. Otherwise, when you have issues or need advice about local growing seasons, local soil or weed species, youll get redirected to local ten dollar an hour nubs from at least twelve states away from where you live.Good luck.

I recently set up a pay-as-you-go agreement for seven applications with a local representative after being pressured to purchase the pre-paid package, which I m happy I didn t I never heard from the company about when my first application would be scheduled. I found out, by clicking a random link from a promotional email, that I could set up an online account and only then did I get to see when my first application was. A day before my scheduled application, I saw that they pushed it back two days, which is understandable given how busy/short staffed businesses are. When I checked a day prior to my new scheduled date my account said no services scheduled at this time, meaning they completely cancelled. No text. No phone call. No email. I called a rep. from corporate who was very kind and rescheduled for five days later. Although I had a good experience with this individual rep., the experience overall made me question things. After reading all of the *lovely* reviews here and on Yelp, I decided to cancel completely. The rep. I spoke with this time was completely rude, guilted me, got defensive, and explained that people only post reviews when they have a really good or really bad experiences. Duh! That logic applies to all companies, and plenty have 4+ stars. But yours is FILLED with negative reviews and sprinkled with the occasional good review. I would not recommend this company. Rent equipment from your local True Value, buy the materials yourself, or hire a local professional. Trust me, it s worth the wait to hire a local than to work with this company.

Started service almost 3 months ago. One technician came out and was unable to answer any questions or do anything. Individual stated Trugreen does not prevent weeds and could not spot spray because they did not have spot weed killer. Called the, very polite, main customer service number at least 5 times trying to get service scheduled, a call from a technician, or a follow-up service...I never received a call back or a return service. Absolute worst experience and business Ive had. If zero stars were an option... Do not use this service, save the frustration.

We signed up for and paid in advance for 6 treatments. We received our first treatment within 2 weeks but after that did not receive another treatment until 3 months later. This was after we had reached out to the company multiple times and did not hear back from anyone and the person answering the phone though pleasant was not able to assist with my concerns of why I had not received treatment to my lawn after the initial one even though everything was prepaid for. We just had our third treatment visit (which was delayed) and when they entered our back yard (brand new) fence with their oversized motorized treatment machine they damaged our fence. Large gouge and deep scratches to both fence post. The person operating the machine had to have known they caused damage and never attempted to notify us and let us know there would be follow up to the damage. We immediately reached out to have this handled and once again we were told management would contact us with our concern promptly. We have not heard from them still.

Nightmare experience dealing with this company. Been with them for 3 years now. Last year they killed large portions of my lawn by putting too much weed contro l (chemical burn, per their technician). After multiple calls to their customer service, each time waiting for 30-45 mins on the call, they told me they would repair my lawn in the fall. I told them not to come for their regular applications until the lawn is repaired. The agent confimred to me that it was noted so on my account. Still they continued applications and invoiced me, with follow up robocalls to pay for that. On top of it, there is an invoice for aeration and overseeding that was dated July which was never performed. I am again getting on calls with long wait time to get this fixed. Be very careful signing up with them - bad service across the board and very hard to get rid of them.

As many others have mentioned here, service out of this local branch in New Hampshire is very poor. If you are looking for good quality dependable lawncare, do yourself a big favor and move on to the next provider as you will more than likely find frustration and dissappointment if you land on Trugreen out of Londonderry. After about a two month no service window mid summer, the straw that broke this camels back was spending a day off getting my lawn ready for the scheduled Aeroation and overseeding today, only to have an automated call cancel the service. So the short mow, clear lawn, move cars, mark sprinklers, et cetera on one of my few precious days off was all for naught. I was looking for a service where I pay money, and my lawn looks good, and have found out the long way this is not what I was looking for. Nationally this seems to be a well regarded company with a very high almost 5 star rating, but there is a reason this local branch is rated at 2.8* stars on Google, and it shows. So go ahead and treat yourself to a nice green lawn from the spoils of your hard work, just do so with a provider that executes to their side of that bargin, of which this one is not.

Beware if you put any information in their web site looking for information they will relentlessly call you all day every day. This guy was calling me at my place of business. When I told him I was all set he would not take this for an answer and actually told me not to go on the web site if I wasnt going to purchase their services. Only desperate businesses resort to this poor tactic which has proven to be unsuccessful in gaining them anything but a bad reputation. I certainly dont feel this is a reputable company anymore.

I will never use TruGreen again and warn anyone to stay away as well. Absolutely the worst in customer service Ive seen - no call backs, no services performed when promised even after escalation to upper management, multiple appointments planned and no shows - 5 times in a row!!! They only offer excuses and no accountability - the latest excuse for not showing up to perform the schedule service - they said couldnt find my property???? This company is a complete joke. Dont fall for their false promises - this goes well beyond the COVID staffing issues as I did have them before COVID and they were just as bad then too. Never again - dont waste your time or money - go anywhere else! Like many, many others on this site - I also dont believe TruGreen even rates a 1 star ... there is a clear reason for so many negative / low reviews - just read all the comments. Any positive or high ratings seen are probably TruGreen employees writing reviews to try mislead anyone who visits their sites....

Terrible, terrible. I had to call to schedule service. I still have weeds after 3 applications. I have called twice now for re-seed and aeration, still not done. They consitently miss entire rows when they service the lawn, making it look like my lawn has stripes. If I combined the areas that were treated versus missed, it would add up to only half my lawn being applied with the fertilizer. Front, back and side. It seems intentional to me, as I can see one or two areas, but the entire lawn. Do not sign up for this service and for god sakes dont pre-pay if you still want to take the chance. I would add a picture but decided not to waste my time, just to get a generic response. Tu Green nationally must be ok, but the local service is less than good. Very un-satisfying experience and will not re-up for next year foor sure.

What a nightmare of a company ! I prepaid for season and they haven t shown up since early ! When they did show up they messed up my lawn . I ve been trying to get reimbursed and I get connected to someone in the Caribbean and I keep getting the run around. I will be going to the BBB. I ve had enough of this.

Terrible experience start to finish. Sales person said mosquito treatments included tick prevention which it doesnt, ended up on multiple long holds to speak with customer service to cancel all mosquito treatments as the reason we signed up for that was to handle ticks which we had made explicit from the get go. Decided to stick it out with 6 lawn service treatments and see what happens. Staff only treated a portion of the lawn around the house - not the full lawn as discussed with sales staff. They only came out for 3 treatments all year. I had a no-show yesterday that said it was completed, but no lawn sign, no treatment paperwork that they usually put on the door, and we were here all day without seeing anyone. I called today to seek a refund and shared they only showed up 3 times and they said because they are short staffed they are counting different chemicals as separate services and that they had double counted one visit. Super misleading from all their marketing. Theoretically, you could pay for 6 services thinking your lawn is being taken care of all year long and they come out once or twice. Big scam.

There was a 4 month gap in services between July and November due to multiple cancellations and no shows by TruGreen staff. When a tech finally did come out to aerate and overseed the lawn, they preformed the service on our driveway instead, careful to go around the car, trailer, and in front of the garage. I tried to make appointment for them to come out and immediately correct the issue and prevent grass from growing in the driveway and multiple managers refused. I would never again hire this company. I would never recommend this company. I m fact, I will warn anyone inquiring about lawn services NOT to hire TruGreen as a result of there awful performance. If I could rate them lower than a 0 I would.

My neighbors and I met with one of the representative named Jesse and after talking about a few options scheduled a follow up call for after my wife and I discussed the costs. Jesse called and after I told him I was not interested in the lawn service but was still possibly interested in the mosquito service, he began to pressure me for my cc info. I told him I needed to discuss with my wife further as I did not realize that he deal for a $40 first service and free last service was based off of combining with the lawn service. He proceeded to not only try and pressure me into getting the lawn service but to give him my cc info and if I decided to cancel later I could call back. I replied that I would rather discuss with my wife before giving my cc and Jesse started to get even more pushy. He began to raise his voice and further try to get me to give my card. At this point I noted how irritating it was that he would not let me think about it. He went on to say how he s been doing this for a few years and knows this isn t going anywhere. At this point I was done and hung up. I have never been more annoyed with a phone call and cannot fathom how someone could be so unprofessional. My neighbors and I got a group consultation and I will be speaking with them about using another service.

I called as a new customer trying to get spring and fall fertilizer and grub treatment Was told I needed a 7 time treatment plan, and when I said I dont want chemicals every few weeks she told me I had no idea twice and hung up on me. Rude. Her name was Whitney in NH.

Went 2 months between treatments and said this is what happens in the Summer to prevent burning. Refused to treat crabgrass when called, was told they would be back in 2 weeks and would do it then. Worse crabgrass ever with these clowns, dont use them.

After UN-True Green ruined our lawn a few years ago, and after multiple attempts to get them to STOP our service, and fix our lawn . . . now . . . 3 years later, and very happy with a TRULY GOOD lawn service, a few days after having our spring application, I go outside to find a Welcome Home sign stuck in our lawn. A service summary envelope was near on front door, on the ground . . . empty. Clearly they had applied something, as there well wheel tracks all over our lawn. Just like before, cannot reach anyone who can offer any help!! Promised a callback, but that was 3 days ago! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! ONE OF MY FRIENDS HAD A VERY SIMILAR EXPERIENCE, He caught them in the act! Ran out after canceling his service and yelled to the bone heads to get the F of his lawn!! OH, by the way, you have to give them 1 star or you cannot post . . . in reality, they deserve a negative rating number!

The unprofessional of this company is incredible ... I pay the whole year to treat the weeds and keep my patio fertilized ... the technician came to do the service on my property ... he did only the patio and not the front of my property ..as my house has camera service around the whole house .. and I realize what they do ... then I make a call to customer service and they offer to send the technician back to finish the job. .but my biggest surprise is that he came back .. he parked in front of my house for 10 minutes .. he never got down to do the job .. and he put a note on my door that he had already inspected my areas green .. when he was always in the vehicle .. (I have the video and photos of this situation) .. now I have as much weeds around as at the beginning .. and I want my money back.

I gave almost 2 seasons and TruGreen has failed. My lawn was actually better before Truegreen. DESPITE calling and expressing, I have lots of weeds and lots of crabgrass and also dead spots all over my lawn, it just kept getting worse. It used to look nice and green and weed-free but now its awful. When I had called to try to resolve the issues, the person I spoke with was very difficult to understand and also confused me a great deal. After I cancelled, they would not cancel and kept showing up and I had to call back numerous times and it wasnt until I said Im contacting the BBB that they FINALLY cancelled my account. Not recommended at all. I wish they never bought out Lawn Dawg.

I called to cancel my services early in 2020. I was told I am all set and my services were canceled. My online portal said that there were no services or plans for my account, yet they still came out and billed me $150 for one application of their mosquito and tick control that did not work at all the previous year. The previous year, they would say they were coming out to do work and would never actually show up, yet somehow I was still billed and mosquitos were everywhere in my yard all summer long. Very disappointing.

DO NOT USE!! FILING LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE!!! MOSQUITO/TICK & LAWN SERVICE: 1st mosquito application ineffective. Called countless times locally & on national number for reapplication as promosed & advertized. Nothing. Rep was here this morning for the monthly application only. $10K Sod install 4 weeks ago. Called to request soil test to see if lawn needed and was ready for fertilizer. Was clear nothing was to be applied yet as the sod was still new and specific fetilizer was to be used (10,10,10) if the lawn was healthy enough & ready. Came home on July 2 to a tech finishing up putting an unauthorized application on the lawn with NO soil test. Refused to get a manager on the line. Left at least 5 msgs with Matt at local branch. No phone call return. Called 800 # countless times. Today is July 12 and still havent talked with anyone at TrueGreen other than usual phone reps. Filed police report today as recommended from my attorney. My green lawn is yellowing from their fertilizer. Will be filing lawsuit against trugreen and Matt personally as it seems he was out of TGs contract and conducting business with his personal cellphone. MNGMT still hasnt made contact with me but I just received a bill for $367.93...lol They will get my bill for court fees, pain & suffering from the aggrevation, as well as the $10k+ to fix my new lawn. POS incompetant & borderline criminal company all around!!!

Worst lawn care company in the area by far, my experience today was one for the record books. Called to speak to customer service in the morning, they said oh someone is in route to your house, at 5:30pm get an email that the service was performed and no one ever showed up! LIAR! They talk a great game on the phone and then the half drunk and hung over tech shows up and does not want to do the job and does not care if they do it right. CANCEL AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

By far the worst lawn company I have ever used. My lawn hasn t looked good all season. I have weeds, multiple grass isn t green. I can literally see the lines of the fertilizer applications, those are a little more green than the rest. They come and do add on services without asking them send you a bill.mu lawn was aerated and over seeded, I did not want this service because my sprinkler lines are shallow. Service done without asking, apparently outside if my prepaid yearly contract and now my sprinkler lines are sliced up. Use any other company and you will get better results than with TruGreen.

The NH crew always indicated their time of arrival and were very informative and willing to answer my questions about my lawn. Their work improved my year old lawn greatly. I will certainly use TruGreen again.

A little disappointed this time as I received a notice that your man would be here between 10:00 a.m. & 4:p.m. yesterday. when he did not arrive after 5:00p.m..I went to the telephone and called, and found that you had changed the date.

Setup a service and told them I need help that I just did fresh loam in the fall. They came and said they knocked on the door witch they didn t I was home. So then they put down fertilizer and pre-emergent for killing weeds and told me that I needed to seed my lawn meaning the fresh Loam areas. But I can t seed for 4 months because of what they put down. I ve talked to multiple other company s that advised differently and not to put down pre-emergent due to not being able to seed properly. So now I m stuck with a horrible looking lawn for the summer thanks to them. Wouldn t recommend them to anyone.

Customer Service at its worst. I have been an 8yr client and spend about $800 a year with them. I called to cancel a serice call as it was unneeded. They came out 2 mos later with out authorization, overseeded my lawn on Oct 25. There were leaves all over yard. I had to leaf blow as snow was coming. I called to let them know they screwed up and the service was useless and unauthorizzed. They told me thaey would resolve it. 3 mos later I get a collection letter I call they tell me they will resolve it. 30 days later I get a collection letter. I call again they tell me they will resolve it. 30 days later I get another collection letter. I call they tell me that they show no history of my calls and cannot do anything for me. Their lawn service is mediocre at best and their customer service is horrible. They use call centers that have no vested interest in truegreen or their clients. Save yourself the headaches. They do not care about you. TrueGreen is a Corporatation that does not care about anything besides cost savings and the bottomeline. Stay away, Stay local. Find a locally owned business or Franchise that cares about the client and values your business.

I inquired with Trugreen about the possibility of helping me rid the weeds from my yard and planting grass. They gave me a price from the 1800 number and I said thank you and hung up. After reading many terrible reviews I decided not to choose TruGreen because it didnt seem like they paid much attention to those who were having a bad experience, and many people had issues getting in touch with management. About a week later someone from the local branch called and told me they could offer me a better price. I stated that I just didnt feel comfortable giving my money to a business that basically only responds to positive reviews. He promptly responded, well we wouldnt be in business if we werent doing a good job to which I said okay thank you have a nice day, and he hung up without saying goodbye. I am so thankful I didnt even attempt to give these people my money because they were rude from the get-go. If you cant be nice to the people who say no thank you, I can only imagine what you are like to the people who want real answers about why no one showed up. Stay away.

we have been customers of TruGreen Lawn Care for a few years now and are very happy with their products and their work. The man who comes to do the lawn is always courteous and welcoming. TruGreen calls the day before and are always here on the day scheduled. So far, we are happy with the service.

Absolutely great service. Notification of the service they will be preforming, then an update of when they will arrive. All the technicians have been courteous, attend to their tasks and explain what they are doing and why. They leave a printout of the service and answered every question I asked. We are very pleased with the service and look forward to a beautiful lawn and bushes. best yard service call I have made.

Due to the large amounts of rain we have received this spring our lawn maintenance program which was around 7000 is now down to 5500. TruGreen sent down Shaw to remeasure the area still able to effectively continue the service supplied by TruGreen. TruGreen Service and the personnel that come to service your lawns are outstanding. They are very meticulous in how they service your lawns. They are all customer service orientated. They are there to do the best job possible. TruGreen is a five star business due to their employees who take care of us their customers. Keep up the outstanding work. Thank You.

Scam. Did my neighbors last year.well this year this lady shows up from Tru green so we say what are u doing we did not pay for this year. She said o well they have us show up the next season to treat your lawn and if u were not here they would of bill us $170 with no contract or agreement. Just like your employee said very sneaky

I was considering killing my lawn off and starting over. Tried true green and it came back and better than it ever had.

Nothings affordable. Seems $1000 is the price point they are looking for. Suppose every office is unique, but couldnt get a positive referral for my area.

Do not use their service. They came and sprayed our lawn, but didnt spray weed control so now our lawn is overflowing with weeds. When we called to inform them of this, they sent someone to come and fixed the problem. We got an email saying that they came today and when we checked our security camera, they came to the neighbors house and sprayed their lawn instead of ours. We are done with this company. They are poorly organized. Will never work with them again.

2nd time they have sent me a text saying Your Service has been completed, yea, no one ever stepped on my lawn today. So now I have to chase them down and fight with them and tell them they basically tried to screw me. I prepaid for a years worth of services and they may or may not come to perform the service, isnt that robbery if I pay and they do not preform the service? The manager is supposed to call me back to resolve this. To keep my business they are going to have some serious customer repair work before they gain my trust back.

I echo the same concern some of the people have mentioned below. They placed a logo on the lawn and left. Then I received in mail a receipt. They never did any treatment. When I called them they said one treatment has been done. The fact is that the cameras outside my house did not pick up anything. The most suspicious thing is that when I called them raising my concern, they were not surprised and did not try to resist. They just scheduled another free treatment! In another day they are supposed to comeby....lets see.

1st year of hiring TruGreen to treat my lawn. I have 1.2 acre of land, mostly lawn ( stated on the original phone call) and payed for the 7 treatments upfront. Since then it started with more and more sales calls that I expressed I did not want anymore. Like to try a company out before I give them more business. After telling sales for the 3rd time no more I was told I have to call to stop the calls, ridiculous. At least the calls finally stopped. On the 3rd treatment I was able to be home when the tech arrived. Nice guy, real informative, even to the point that telling me that the work order only said front and back, when I have a huge side yard. He did treat the whole lawn, that time. Service is going to have to take a serious turn for the better, or the summer of 2019 will be the 1st and last time I use TruGreen

No results, they just keep spreading more weed killer till it kills your grass and still full of weed .. no experts can till you what exactly your lawn need to get better ,just keep asking you to add more service and every time you hear different opinions from different person Just added aeration and reseeding to make sure I did everything I could before taking any action.

Horrible service people can t get there weed control down right. My lawn is full of weeds I called trugreen which I was using at the time to fix the weed issue. Service tech sprayed the lawn with liquid weed killer it ended up burning my whole grass it was 98 degrees out.. pretty much stay away I went to a local company lawn doctors....

God awful company. Paid for a mosquito treatment for the year they say it wears off after 28 days they will be out every 30 and if theres any mosquitoes during the 30 days they will come retreat for free. They didnt come within 30 days and couldnt come before the 4th of July party once I called and said its been well over 30 and here we are month 3 no schedule in sight and once I complain best they can do is the 35th day 7 days after treatment is worn off. Then they say they are behind from the bad weather. Weve had beautiful weather all month and they are still trying for new customers even though they cant manage what they have now. Use one of the other companies out there as this one doesnt do its job and makes no attempt to make up for the lack of service

Technician treating neighbors yard sprayed my yard and killed everything! Damage to property, trespassing, refusal to fix damages they caused! The response we received from trugreen was grass is all going to die off soon anyways for the season.

not a good service first time they came out they only did half my yard when they came back to finish the job they kept saying it was a free service then they told me grub x was part of my contract but charged me extra the 3rd time they came out they never put the weed killer on the back half of my yard only grub x so I will be cancelling my service with them and fin a more reliable company my I was told my bill would be 334.59 they charged me 428.34 no stars

The people that come to service my lawn are super nice lawn looks great and the mosquitoe spraying was also good especially this year had a piece of mind

A woman called me and said Id get a reminder text message a few days before my aeration and over-seeding visit. 1. I never made a specific date due to 2 pending surgeries. I told the woman that the end of October would be best and Id call them to schedule. 2. On September 10, I got a text message stating that Id get the aeration and over-seeding the next day -- a one-day notice for a service that I never scheduled! 3. I replied to the text message with instructions to cancel the September 11 application which I never scheduled. I immediately received a text message cancelling all future text messages. I guess they were mad at me. 4. Someone walked my property without my knowledge and said I needed to have my trees and shrubs sprayed for aphids and other assorted insects and varmints. I asked for one of my free service calls to have a specialist show me why I needed this service. I was told that I needed to commit to having this service before someone would come to my property and show me the problems. In other words, pay before we show you. =============== Thats enough for know. Im getting steamed again.

TruGreen is constantly rescheduling and always pushing me out. We re nearly in October and they have yet to perform half of my scheduled services. My lawn looks worse than when I was taking care of it myself, on my own schedule and at half the cost. These guys are a major headache - do yourself a favor and buy a nice broadcast spreader. You d be better off carpeting your lawn with greenbacks than wasting your money on TruGreen.

My service technician Mike is world class! **Update 2019** The quality of their service has dropped and after a year of watching my lawn become overwhelmed with weeds - its time to move on to a new company. Maybe TruGreen wasnt ready for the merger with ChemLawn, or maybe they became overwhelmed with their mosquito control, but they certainly are not doing a good job on my lawn.

NH location is the worst company I was ever a part of. The management is just a bunch of teenage girls trying to get their daily case of work drama in. Do not get trugreen. They may make it sound good they may act like they know what they are doing but trust me half the time they do not. They dont care about you or your lawn the only thing they see is the green in your wallet

Horrible company to work with and the owners should be ashamed. I was traveling with my special needs uncle yesterday (January 2nd) when a chunk of ice came dislodged from the bed of a delivery vehicle and cracked my windshield. In the panic of the moment I was trying to calm my uncle down and flag the driver so I was unable to get a license plate number or truck ID number. Driver never stopped so when I returned home after my errand I contacted the company. They confirmed that GPS tracking showed the truck in the area at the time specified and agreed that this was a serious safety issue. I was told they needed to speak with management and Id be contacted. Shortly after that initial phone call I receive a follow up stating they are claiming no liability because supposedly the truck was spotlessly clean and tried to pin blame on another vehicle. Unfortunately no dashcam footage from my vehicle because I dont own one...lesson learned I guess.

Let me start off by saying, I didn t think there was a worse company than Comcast, but I have found it. This company has not done one thing they said they were going to do. I called the company and prepaid for the 3 remaining treatments of the year. They told me someone would be by to do the first application within 7-10 days. I called on the 12th day, as no one had been by to treat my lawn. They said they didn t know why I wasn t scheduled for treatment. Someone finally showed up 5 days later. Then, after I had expressed that my MAIN concern (and really my only concern) was weeds, the technician only fertilized and didn t even explain why he didn t treat the weeds. Not only did he not do what I needed him to do, but he also left massive amounts of fertilizer all over my driveway, sidewalk, and back stairs. After calling to complain, TruGreen told me there would be a technician out the following Tuesday to clean up and spray for weeds. Tuesday arrived, and I had a feeling no one would be by. So I called...of course I was scheduled for nothing. Finally after talking to 5 different customer service members, they finally scheduled me for Wednesday. Wednesday isn t Tuesday, and they re lucky I cleaned up after them or my sidewalk would be ruined! This has been a painful experience. Just do what you say you re going to do! I paid you in advance!

Don t bother.. the worst lawn company ever...

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. We had a technician named Colin show up to service our lawn. He didnt realize that my husband was watching him from a window taking pictures because every time our lawn has been serviced there arent any results. Colin (service Tech.) actually sat in his truck for 30 minutes playing on his phone then proceeded to get out of his truck, walk over to my front door and left me a bill. He jumped back in his truck and started to drive away when my husband came running out of the house to ask him why did he just bill us for services he didnt perform . Mind you this is the 5th time they have supposedly service my lawn without any results. I called and canceled my service and demanded a full refund for all services they have billed me for. I would never trust this company. They have dishonest people working for them. Save yourself the headache and money and find another company to service your lawn.

Absolutely horrible customer service and my lawn looks terrible. I have been with TruGreen since 2007 and these past two years my lawn looks worse then the neighbors that dont apply anything to their lawns. It is nothing but crabgrass and weeds. I had to go to the Londonderry NH office to get someone in this area to talk to me, if you call the local number the person at the other end of the line is located in another State. The local office never returns phone calls,, Tyler the local manager asked me to tell another employee from TrueGreen that he sucks - can you believe that? Mike (he at least acted professionally) who came to my house on Friday to see the lawn agreed it was terrible and assured me that someone would call the following Monday explaining what the plan was going forward. Well guess what - it is Wednesday and I cant get a hold of anyone again. Do yourself a favor DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! SO DARN FRUSTRATED WITH THEM!!!!!

I was assured, after a complete lawn evaluation, that my front lawn could be brought back to life through fertilization and over-seeding. We are now at the end of the season and there are still patches of weeds and the bare areas that were aerated and over-seeded have not germinated or filled in as I was told specifically that they would. I am completely dissatisfied with the $800 that I spent. I should have rented a plug aerator myself and bought 10#s of good shade grass seed and not wasted my time with TruGreen.
