Great Company to work with. We use BE for our HOA lawn care, tree landscaping and landscaping maintenance/design. Taylor especially is a pleasure to work with. She is very knowledgeable and always gives us a timely response with any questions we may have. I highly recommend them to any one looking for any type of lawn care or landscaping needs!

If you are looking for a good review for Balanced Environments, from someone that is not an employee, you will not find it here. I have tried working with this company for a number of years, only to be continually disappointed. As President of our association, I have performed numerous walk-throughs with Balanced managers in hopes of getting better service and regularly check their work. We opted for their "gold" package. The last of many issues was their fall clean up. In 2021 they left too many leaves with no options to get them removed, causing us turf issues in the spring. Despite my concerns at the time they blew us off and then did not help with turf repairs. We were left to hire another company to do them. (The Fields on Caton Farm Nursery is amazing to work with!) To try and avoid a repeat, we agreed to pay extra if their fall clean up timing had them out prior to all of the leaves being down. Well, that was not needed, as all of our leaves were down prior to the "fall clean up". They did a bad job anyway. They came out on a Wednesday even though our day is a Friday. It was snowing, and with plenty of snow on the ground, I could see exactly where they worked and where they did not. Their mowers tore up the turf in the wet conditions in a few areas and they only serviced about 60% of the area pictured below. Their contract clearly states "will remove trash and any fallen leaves" They did and consistently do neither. There is also no mention in their contract that they mow the leaves and leave the mowed leaves behind. They also dumped the mowed leaves on your property (also pictured), contrary to their company policy. I realize that some leaves or composted leaves can be beneficial, but too much left behind will smother the grass and inhibit spring growth. A common issue with Balanced. When we contacted our account manager, Eric Carlson, he tried blowing us off by saying: let me see if they are due back out again (he should know company policy is one fall clean up) After trying to follow back up with him for a month, I reached out to his boss, Gayle Kruckenberg. She seemed reasonable and presented more concise information than Eric. I am the one that looked to clarity on the difference between what is in their contract with us and the poor workmanship displayed on our property. I was polite each step of the way, but she ducked on me when we were supposed to connect for a walk through and went on to say they "did a beautiful job" to our property manager. Their contract also states if a portion of their contracted work is not completed, that service is free. Despite pictures telling one fall clean up story, she is telling another and not standing behind their own policy. Balanced crews do not use the proper equipment to ensure damage free service. Instead of "removing trash" as their contract states, the consistently mow it over creating thousands of smaller pieces of plastic left behind for others (me) to clean up for them. They cut turf too short along the edges causing permanent damage (pictured below) They let weeds get way too big prior to treating/pulling. They are terrible at follow through on their extras: we spent tens of thousands on turf repair and plantings, with turf getting damaged by their weekly service and dead plantings left to wither. I could go on ... 3/28/23 Hi Balanced. You are free to contact me whenever you wish, if you want to smooth things over. I have contacted you too many times to count. I can also supply you your quote which included a bronze, silver and gold package, all at different price points. I wrote the review when I was on the board, so not sure how that is relevant. The one remaining board member does not know enough to be satisfied or unsatisfied. For the last set of incidences, there was nothing for a board to approve, only for you to satisfy your contract. I was the president. I hired you , I managed you, I chased after you, you did not satisfy me, our community or our property, which we were elected to manage.
