This was my 4th year using Independent Lawn Service. I contracted with them to provide seven applications of lawn fertilizer starting in the Spring and ending in the Fall. I was pleased overall with the fertilizations and the response of my lawn. I was also very pleased with the reports I would receive following each application. Overall, I am happy with the service.

We have used Independent Lawn Service for a few years and have been very pleased.

Our yard went from sparse to THICK in, what I consider, just a few applications. I signed on to Independent late last season, after being jealous a friends yard that my kid mows on occasion. I told him he has to tell me what he does or who he uses. I also like the fact I get invoiced after each treatment, although there is a discount if the season is paid for ahead of time.

First, please note this company offers you a discount for leaving a positive review. Take that for what its worth. in 2023, I allowed them to service my lawn. Apparently they send emails INFORMING you that they will autorenew your service for the next year. They claim this is their right and it is industry standard. Considering this is bogus and illegal, I called them to inform them. They essentially said tough luck, we entered your enclosed backyard and did it anyway and now you will pay for it. I most certainly will not, and now I have had to get a lawyer to prosecute them for high pressure sales, unsolicited charges and trespassing on my property. After reviewing the camera footage, I cannot believe the half effort job he did and he SPRAYED MY CHILDS TOYS!!!! Absolutely abhorrent job.

Have been a customer for years. The office is terrible. They will drop you as a cutomer on their mistakes. You will get hounded to pay with phone calls within days of them spraying your lawn. Just look at the yelp reviews.

There are 1000s of fertilization/lawn care companies. SKIP OVER THIS ONE. My 2nd from last application left my lawn STRIPED like a football field! I sent pictures and was told to pay the invoice and they would THEN come out and look at it. So I have to pay BEFORE you do whats expected of you? Nope. In a matter of 10-14 days they cancelled my last service AND TOOK ME TO COLLECTIONS! I paid the invoice. To make matters worse the lady who answers the phone/customer service HAS to be the owner or family because she sounds like she couldnt care less about anything you are calling for. As a matter of fact she stopped me from asking my question EACH TIME I CALLED.

I started with Independent Lawn Service after my last service dumped me for having a lawn they couldnt access with a ride-on dispenser. The service at Independent is great - I get all of my questions answered and have learned things over the past year about getting my grass to grow that I hadnt heard in over 23 years at my home! I took advantage of an option to have slit-seeding done to my lawn this fall, which basically injects seeds into the soil. I now have grass in spots where it never grew in the past! I highly recommend Independent Lawn Service for their expertise and care!

I used Independent Lawn Care services last year. I paid for grub control at the beginning of the season. However, at the end of the season this is what my grass looked like after the grubs got a hold to it. I contacted Patrick, and he sent someone out to retreat my yard. It was too late in the season to reseed. I called this year spoke with Patrick, and they will not fix my yard unless I signed up for the services this year. Well, why would I use your services this year when you haven t been faithful in your responsibilities from last year. Then you have to make sure you re home because the servicemen will lie and say they treated your yard and they haven t. If you want your yard looking like this then by all means hire them. Or if you want to babysit them by all means use them.

Its hard to have a lawn service company impress you. They are all generally the same services at generally the same price. But Independent Lawn Service has continued to impress us in little areas that make a big impact. Whether its the customer service helping plan spraying around a birthday party or getting a fertilizing in before a big rain, its noticeable that they care more than some of the other big chains that are just in it for the volume and money. We have been very happy since we switched to them and have no plans to look elsewhere. Our lawn is also beautiful which is really just icing on the cake.

Very professional with good feedback after every service. I had used two other lawn service companies previously and my lawn was slowly going downhill despite watering etc. My lawn which is only five years old has been rejuvenated and looks almost as good as when the sod was freshly laid by the time all services were completed for the year.

We have been fighting fungus and bare spots throughout our lawn for the past several years. Previous lawn service provider seem to temporarily fix the problem, but the problem would re-surface. Sharing pictures via text messages allowed Patrick to see the lawn and recommend the proper treatment. Over seeding was recommended, which we did. So far rhe lawn looks great.

They do a great job and leave detailed information about their application each time. We have used them for 4-5 years and have been completely satisfied. They can text you in advance so if a particular day doesnt work well for you, you can reschedule your service. A friend referred us to them and weve referred them to others. If there is a problem, they will fix it right away.

My neighbor referred me to them as he has used them for several years and his lawn looks great. I started using them for my regular lawn fertilization and couldnt be happier. I believe they come out 6 times per year, and can add more services if needed, such as specialty bug control. They always leave a note on the door showing what they did (I have cameras around my home so I KNOW they are doing what they say, when Im not home).

We had been pleased with this company until I found out that they werent going to honor the price I was given in the spring for my fall overseeding. I had been given a price by Emily and told that I could get that pre-pay price in the fall and that someone would call me to set it up. Evidently Emily doesnt work there any more (I was told you can see why now by the manager which was totally unprofessional. I hadnt heard about my overseeding appointment and so I called. The manager, Patrick, was not willing to honor the price I was given and it was $108 more than I was quoted. When I indicated that I would need to cancel moving forward because of being unprofessional, he didnt act like he cared at all. If you dont value your customers, you wont get my business. Beware - they dont honor what they say as a company. *You can see their reply below. The problem comes in that the only reason it had not been paid that day was their employee, Emily, told me not to pay that day and to pay when she called me in the fall for the service set-up. I was doing what their employee encouraged me to do.

I have contracted Independent Lawn for the past two years and my lawn has went from weeds and variations of color to a plush green weed free lawn. Mosquito was so bad this year. They came out and sprayed and I never had a problem with mosquitoes again. Very professional. Worth the investment!

I recently received a bill for services that I had paid for in advance. When I called them to inquire, why the extra cost. I was told that it was due to the price of gas increasing. First of all, isnt that a cost of doing business and secondly, I never saw a decrease when the price of gas was dropping. I know that this might seem trivial but its the principle of the matter. I hope they enjoy the profits they got from this tactic but it will cost them my business. Just saying

Great experience the last 5 years or so. My lawn has been thick and green since using their services. The service guy has been great with pointing out infections and infestations of my lawn that keeps it healthy. I can always call Patrick if I have any questions or issues. I have a large yard and the the price is great.

I switched to Independent Lawn Service recently to take care of my lawn. They fertilized and applied weed control. I could notice improvement within the first 2 applications. The grass looked greener and weeds started disappearing. They also recommend what services are needed to improve your lawn and can answer any specific questions applicable to your lawn.

Fantastic service. Did everything they said they would and my yard now looks great! I wish I had taken before photos so everyone could see how far my lawn has come in a season. My first reasons with going with these guys were money, and local. A strong second was the types of chemicals they used. They use granular fertilizer for the most part rather than some liquid spray.

My grass has never looked better. There knowledge and were able to fix my lawn problems after years of neglect.

Independent Lawn Service is absolutely wonderful. They have transformed my grass into a beautiful green yard. They were kind and took their time with me anytime I called with questions. Their communication is spot-on. They send a notification by email and call as a reminder when they will be coming by, and they leave a receipt in the door and by email of everything they did during their visit with any directions following the application for us to do. If I noticed weeds were coming back in an area after two weeks, they would come back out and spray that area. This was my first time getting my yard fertilized professionally and I am so happy I did.
