Hans gave excellent advice and guidance at initial consultation. Gave an all inclusive fixed price that was maintained to payment even with a couple if other jobs added once work started. Work involved remodelling of garden, removing lot of hedges, replacing fencing and turf, constructing glower beds, building steps and a hut laying porcelain slabs and a small composite decking area. His team were hard working, polite and friendly over the 5 weeks work took place. They were tidy and helpful always explaining what was being done and why. We are very happy with the results two weeks later and looking forward to next year in our new garden in the sun. I'd highly recommend this company.
I can’t speak more highly about Goodman landscapes. Totally professional in all dealings, competitive prices, and top quality workmanship. Turned up when they said they would, worked hard, and finished to a high standard. We have gone from a bland back garden to one that will be full of character (and plants!) once we’ve put in the finishing touches. I highly recommend. To note, we had plans drawn up by Martin Watt (also recommended) which meant that we had clear plans to work from and Goodman landscapes were able to perfectly make them into reality.
Our back garden had a slope and two very uneven patios laid 30 years ago. We obtained garden design plans from Martin Watt and agreed the design and cost with Hans Goodman of Goodman Landscapes. Hans was reliable, helpful and good to deal with from start to finish. A couple of small adjustments were needed as the project was ongoing, but nothing was too much trouble for Hans and his team. The final outcome is great - large new composite decking areas which are accessed at flat level as you step from the back door or patio doors. New timber dwarf walls, new raised planting beds, new turf, their attention to detail was exceptional.

I had my back garden renovated in October 2022 by Goodman Landscapes and would not hesitate to recommend them. I first contacted Hans around April/May and he came out to see the space and take measurements and listen to what I wanted done. He then gave me a fixed price (which was competitive and reasonable for the scale of the work) and booked me in for October. He came out once again a couple of weeks before the work started at my request just to finalise a few details and ensure everything was good to go. Hans’s team, led by Arran worked through truly horrific weather (torrential rain most days) but made decent progress and finished in around 12 working days. Arran was very communicative and always checked details with me before carrying out the works to ensure I got what I wanted and if there were multiple options (e.g. positioning of steps, dimensions of flower bed etc.) walked me through everything and recommended what would work best. The guys were very professional and cleared up at the end of each day as well as jetwashing everything once done. Hans then came out and done the final quality check just to make sure everything was in order. If you are looking to get your garden renovated then Goodman Landscapes is a great option. They are fully booked for months for a reason.
I contacted Goodman Landscapes and Hans was very quick to respond. He arranged to come and give a quote and I also received this very quickly. The team adhered to the timescales set and if there was any problem e.g. weather I was kept informed so I knew exactly what was happening throughout. The team did a great job in removing my old decking and replacing. They levelled an area at the back of the garage and built a retaining wall. All the work was carried out to a high standard using good quality materials. My husband and I were impressed with the work. The team tidied up each day. The decking , new steps and garage area looks great. This wasn’t cheap but it was money well spent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Goodman landscapes
I am currently sitting in our recently renovated garden that was expertly built by Hans and his team. As you can see from the pictures, it was an extreme transformation and we are very glad we picked Goodman Landscapes after seeing work they had done on our neighbour’s garden. Small, slight changes were never an issue with the team recommending a few changes themselves from the original plans which made complete sense and enhanced the overall finished product. Everyone was courteous, considerate and professional. Hard working and always did everything they said they would. Final snagging was undertaken with no complaints which in this day and age is a massive relief…! Hans was clear about the payment schedule and why delays occurred (inevitable at the moment due to the pandemic). Communication was always clear and he was always available to discuss anything. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend Goodman and would happily have them return for any future work needed. The garden has been used extensively since it was finished and we could not be happier.
Hans and his team did a great job in our large garden. We are in a new-build house and needed the garden levels defined and terraces built. They also laid two patio areas, created two sets of steps, prepared beds for planting, built bases for a shed and greenhouse and edged everything with stone setts. The team were friendly and flexible. We had a good dialogue as the project progressed making a few minor amendments to the design along the way. Hans made sure he and I spoke at least once a week (the project was four and a half weeks) so he knew we were comfortable with progress.
Delighted with quality of the work and attention to detail provided by Hans and the site team lead by Arran. From the outset of the process it was a two way discussion as we knew what we wanted done but we were only too happy to lean on their expeirence and know how for some of the particulars. We had a new timber deck and hardwood decking installed with remedial works to surrounding areas including Arran building us new steps using old stone we had lying about in the garden. Looks like the steps could have been there as long as the adjoining walls, which is exactly what we wanted. Hans and his great Team replaced a large fence and many posts, dealing with the overgrown ivy covering it as well. They created several nicely crafted permanent border edges, too. They worked hard and cracked on with the job until it was done to my total satisfaction and cleared up all the debris afterwards. To say I am chuffed with their work is an understatement. I wont hesitate to use them again.
The team, led by Chad, were friendly, hard working and given us a fabulous garden which is already been used extensively. We already had a design plan but both Hans and Chad made suggestions to improve on it. Our garden had a significant slope and they constructed decking to level this up which was no easy task. The team built fences and raised beds even saving plants from our previous beds to match in with the new design. Quality of workmanship was excellent and work was completed within planned timescales and budgets despite the challenges of coronavirus and conflicts with building control sign off for our extension. Chad and his team were unfailingly polite and even their musical soundtrack was decent. We would have no hesitation in recommending Hans firm. Thank you for a job well done.
This is the second time I have used Hans & his team to transform my garden & would not hesitate to recommend them. Nothing was too much trouble, the boys (Chad & Martin) were excellent, worked to plan & made any necessary adjustments required due to unexpected findings. I can t praise Hans and the Goodman Landscapes team enough. They ve just finished turning our large, unmanageable and unsightly garden into a beautiful, yet practical space that both we and our sons love spending time in. For years now we ve always been embarrassed having friends and family over as our garden was such an eyesore - now it s a sight for sore eyes and we re proud to show it off! From the day Hans came to give us a quote for the complete overhaul of our garden, my gut told me they were the right company for us. They were clearly very experienced in what they do, and their price was very competitive compared to others quotes we had. The team worked so hard in all weathers, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. A special thank you to Aaron, John, Chad and Martin who all went out of their way to give us the garden we wanted. They always presented solutions, never problems, no matter what we asked them. They ve created a stunning garden which not only looks great, but is practical and easy to look after even for non-green fingered folk like my husband and me. Hans kept in regular contact and visited our job frequently to check progress and to make sure we were happy with how the job was going. He always tells you when deliveries of materials are coming your way too so that youre not taken by surprise when a big crane turns up in your driveway. Don t hesitate to hire these guys, they take a real pride in, and are brilliant at what they do. And to finish off, all the team take milk and two, making tea and coffee time simples!
we have used this company twice before and this time Hans and his men totally revamped both our front and back garden into a more usable space ,reducing the soil areas to a more manageable space as we have both got reduced mobility due to arthritis . The worn front driveway has been replaced with a very smart and much enlarged paved area again leaving some smaller areas with existing plants. The front had 2 doorsteps side by side and this has been skilfully replaced with a longer paved one which is visually stunning. The team of men who worked here were hand working friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble to them. I would recommend them without hesitation

Absolutely delighted with our new garden. Moved into a new build and the whole garden was soil! Hans and his team have totally transformed the garden into a neat, easy to maintain, stunning garden! Ian and the guys were great, nothing was a problem, hard working, polite and tidy workers! For me its also about the after care from a company. I have had to contact Hans on a few very minor issues and he replies straight away and deals with it promptly. Would 100% recommend Goodman Landscapes. Great job Thankyou!!
A team to the rescue! We cannot thank Hans and his team enough for repairing our rear 8m square back garden that another company based in Bankton managed to completely wreck. Hans not only owns all the correct gear to do a professional job he employs a skilled experience landscaping team, we were delighted it was all done and dusted in a speedy 8 working days. It was labour intensive, they had to remove all the materials (including 11.5 ton of sand!), dig out the full area and completely start again. Having had been stung we were nervous, however Hans helped to put our minds at ease and true to his word from the moment his team arrived on site we knew we were in safe hands. The standard of workmanship is high and their approach is professional and friendly, they all take 2 sugar and milk! They understood exactly what was required to fix it and came up with great solutions to turn what was a nightmare situation into a distant memory and now we are able to enjoy and relax in our fabulous looking garden. Hoping to get them back to do our front garden next year. Thanks so much!

I am delighted with the change that Hans and his team have made to my garden. Hans the boss was a really friendly guy who explained things and listened to our needs. His team, led by Ian, were fantastic and their work is of high quality. Some of the garden needed extra work done, stuff that the plans couldnt forsee. Hans dealt with that superbly and done the added changes without fuss or extra cost. Goodman landscape ltd., have exceeded my wildest expectations. They have created me the most beautiful garden. Goodman Landscapes created an amazing outdoor space for us using a mixture of sandstone tiles, decking, an easy to maintain lawn and a wonderful seating area. Goodman Landscapes exceeded our expectations and completely transformed our back garden from what used to be an empty, tired space into a beautiful, tranquil, private haven with character where we can relax and wind down. After an sizeable house extension to the exterior our back garden looked liked a building site.
