We picked up Colorado Blue. Some pieces were literally in pieces, however; I pieced it all together, and its growing very well! I just wish I could have purchased the pre-lay fertilizer in a smaller portion.

I would not recommend Green Valley Turf for sod installation. Last summer they installed new sod in my backyard and it immediately started showing signs of stress and the entire backyard is not coming back this spring. When I called last summer to let them know it wasn t doing well, I was told me to send a picture. Texted me back it needs water, which was definitely not the case. I called again this spring to tell them the grass was not coming back at all and was told they were not responsible for the grass after they install it. They could have cared less. Terrible customer service.

Extremely helpful and Extremely quick

The installation of our Tahoma grass was an impressive operation. Felipe and his crew of 11 came in and did an excellent job of removing the old lawn, preparing the soil, and installing the new sod. Competent, efficient, and friendly!

Green Valley Turf is my go to place for grass seed. After seeding with big box store seed (name brand Kentucky bluegrass) and being disappointed by the results, I stumbled upon GVT and their superior seed selection. I went home with a 50lb bag of Turf Saver RTF (rhizomatous tall fescue) and I couldnt be happier. The seed germinated in less than half the time of KBG. The lawn greens up in spring before any other in my neighborhood and thrives on just a portion of the water the KBG needed. My father-in-law, an accomplished gardener with an impressive lawn himself, called it redonkulous. I got him a bag of Turf Saver RTF for his birthday so he can join in the fun. Thank you Green Valley Turf for bringing the latest and greatest turf technologies to the Denver area. My only regret is not becoming your customer sooner.

Green Valley Turf did a great job replacing my lawn. The pulled up the old, put down compost, fertilized and laid the new sod in under 2 hours. They also cleaned everything up so well you would have no idea I had my front lawn replaced today. Great work!

Green Valley recently came to do grass in my back yard at a new build near Roxborough Park. I had an area prepped with edging and irrigation ready to go. The crew came in with a heavy duty tiller, compost to ammend the soil, fertilizer and of course sod. They had my irregular shaped grass area done in less than an hour and were respectful of the plantings already in the yard. Needless to say, the grass looks so green and lush several weeks later after following the watering schedule. Very professional and reasonable cost.

Excellent sod fertilizer with great customer service however I did just purchase my 1st load of fertilizer that was wet inside the bag and it ruined my lawn hopefully greenvalley turf will stand behind it been doing business with them for 4050 years and theyre a wonderful company

soils and mulches are high quality and are better than the grasses. the smallish rectangles i found did lack conformity in thickness though seemingly easier to tile into-lace as compared to rolls of sod. i think the costs are on par with the quality. I was disappointed that i was unable to walk into the office and buy grass seed as they were closed due to covid fear(4/27/21)..I called in to try and purchase, decided to go elsewhere.. dhball

Went back to get same seed as last year. The gentleman in the phone answered all my questions and was great until he handed me off to another woman without telling me what was happening. She re-asked for my order, took my payment, and hung up in the middle of me asking a question. I needed help loading due to a lifting restriction from a surgery. I waited outside for a few min and they did bring my product out and load it into my truck. At the end, I got the product I wanted at the price I expected. Its just some of the people didnt seem like they cared.

Great quick service! Call ahead ordering and curb side pickup. They even take walk ins. Plan ahead though for the season, their sod sells out very quickly! Also less expensive then a few big box stores and quality is definitely better! Fresher sod that hasnt been sitting out!

Great material

This is near Santa Fe and C-470. Its not easy to get to if you are going North on Santa Fe. (Must make a U-turn so you are going South to enter their driveway.) Great sod and friendly office staff. They load the sod for you. We got 30 square feet for $18. Nice green Kentucky bluegrass. No bugs, no disease.

My yard looks amazing!! GVT was extremely efficient while installing the sod. It was a super quick process for about 1100 sqft. The sod is great quality. I m in love with my yard thank you!!

Amazing experience. We had to reschedule twice because of the city s roadwork and they were more than accommodating. Our lawn was dead, desolate and disgusting. The team came in at 7am, tore everything up, evened out the ground and then placed the sod. Phillip was communicative the whole time with any questions he had. My neighbor said it was like watching HGTV live . They were done in 2.5 hours! I highly recommend them.

Green Valley is awesome! I had a terrible experience with lawn replacement a couple of years ago and asked Green Valley to come in for a quote. They were extremely knowledgeable about sod, requirements, and care. The installation was exactly how we discussed and my lawn is beautiful! They even cleaned up so well that I didnt have to tidy up afterwards. Well done!

Sod was good quality, Staff was very friendly, and efficient! Pick up went quick and they even loaded it in my trailer for me.

I was initially very pleased with the product and service I received from Green Valley. The sod appeared good quality and installation was a breeze. However, towards the end of the first season I began to notice quack grass popping throughout portions of the sod. Despite my best efforts and hours upon hours of trying to prevent the spread, I have given up as it has become widespread throughout my lawn. I know this came from Green Valley because unfortunately a neighbor used the leftover sod and now has quack grass all over their lawn as well. This stuff is impossible to eradicate at this point without a complete overhaul and chemical treatment to kill everything. I would recommend not using Green Valley as my investment in their product is completely wasted at this point.

This is a very good company! We installed one of the water saving sods and it is very beautiful! Everyone at Green Valley is very professional! The sod is weedless! This is the same company that supplies the sod for Mile High Stadium!

Great place for a homeowner to pick up a few pieces of sod for spot repairs. Super friendly counter staff and even friendlier guys that will load your sod in your car with a smile.

I had called in to request a quote on sod installation. Originally, for the area provided, based on square footage, I was quoted $2700 for complete install, which I thought would have been reasonable. However, they provided my personal information to their estimator who they said would be calling in 1-3 business days to provide a more accurate estimation. Their estimator who has never seen my property, or spoke with me before, called me and determined, based on the same square footage, that after speaking with me for under a minute that the total amount would be $4300 give or take $100. This individual seemed to be more concerned about bragging about previous jobs than actually helping me due to how proud he was about his prior expertise. In general, the best way to describe his demeanor is by comparing him to a slimy, pushy, and inconsiderate used car salesmen. (1 out of 10 would not recommend). I began doing my own research and found I could purchase the same sod (Kentucky blue grass) for the area for $800 from a local sod company. I also found I could rent all the required equipment to install the same sod for well under $300. The only sales their estimator received from me was convincing me to start my own sod company based on their 300% markup. I m sure they are capable of doing good work, however their terrible sell tactics are only good for naive, rich people who would rather deal with sleazy salesmen who don t care who you are unless you are a Major League Baseball team trying to get new grass. Buyer beware, please shop around before committing to this company.

Wow. This sod is fantastic.

I remember my first steps inside green valley. I was waiting to be served and the first thing I hear as I walk in the door is a customer having a problem with a bad batch of fertilizer. I thought it wasnt really a great sign but I ignored it. I regret that decision. I gave the young guy at the front desk my measurements, and he recommended to me 1 and a half pallets of sod. I originally came in for just over a pallet, as thats what they told me I would need on the phone the day before I came to pick it up. I, of course, trust the guy and just buy the pallet and a half. After I finished installing the sod, I still had an entire third of a pallet left over. I called them asking about returning the difference, the receptionist told me there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager, Laura, Was very rude to me. She said that there was no way I had been sold a pallet and half. After telling her that I did indeed buy a pallet and a half, and that her loader could confirm it, she proceed to change the tone and cycled between statements such as we have a lot of new people, mistakes happen and we went off of your measurements I understand not being able to buy it back, but not owning up for an obvious error of over selling me sod and then proceeding to tell me that Im lying and didnt actually get a pallet and half is not only insulting, but absolutely 100% unprofessional. If your looking for sod with professionalism, I would look elsewhere. Oh I almost forgot, the loader damaged my truck cage by ramming into it with a fork list as he was loading sod onto my truck originally. Id stay away if you dont want to risk vehicle damage

HORRIBLE fertilizer!! Way too strong and destroyed my grass in the front yard and caused huge stripes in the back yard. Customer service people were also unhelpful when I called about the problem.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of trust and poor customer service from this company. I reached out to Green Valley Turf more than 4 months ago with the promise that they would have a unique sod (not sold at nearby companies) available in a couple months time. Upon those couple months I called to check in and was promised that it would be ready next week - I kept in bi-weekly communication and was told each time, next week it will be ready. One time I was told the delay was due to the weather being too hot, then I was told it was too cold. Finally, after 4 months of being strung along I was told that the sod was damaged due to poor weather and that it would not be available until next year. While I understand mother nature cannot be predicted, Im frustrated at how there was no indication of there being any problem with the sod production when there clearly was. We spent several weekends planning/preparing our yard to be landscaped based on the promises of their product and are now left with little to no options at the end of the season. What a waste of time/investment.

Green Valley installed sod at my home weeks ago. I watered as I should and it looked good until parts stated to lighten in color. I called GV and the answer I received was that I should contact the CSU Extension office for advice. I had volunteered for CSU for 3 years and I was well aware of the problem and explained that there was no need to contact them because GV did the installation and they needed to at least come to see for themselves. Again, I was told to contact CSU Ext. I emailed Scott (a GV contact) but still havent heard from him. The yellowed sod had no root growth at all and it could be peeled right off the ground without force. Anger and disappointment is apparent. Never will I do business with a group so distant from their clients. Scott, returned my call and arranged to meet me Saturday morning at my house to see and discuss my problem. He had been on vacation and wasnt available earlier. He pointed out a few changes I should make was my sprinkler system and said he would take care of the dead sod. Surprised and grateful, I commend him for his attention and prompt action. Unfortunately, the front office is not so efficient.

This is a superior product for Colorado .

Great service and great products

Through my landscaping contractor I bought Buffalo Grass sod from Green Valley Turf. It is of incredibly poor quality. It has very many weeds, and its obvious from the roots that they came with the sod. Worst, it has many many patches of regular blue-grass, which are a completely different color and texture. The lawn looks piebald! It will take a great deal of effort and expense to fix it. I cant speak to their other products but the Buffalo Grass is not worth the money. I complained to the landscaper; he said he called Green Valley twice wanting to talk to them about it, but he never got called back as promised. Buy from this company with your eyes open.

Unable to communicate with the yard workers, which ended with 1000lbs. of the wrong materials given to me. Cost me an hour of time and 1/4 tank of gas. Management unwilling to compensate.

They follow up on scheduled delivery date and time. The sod was delivered on time and in great shape. Now 30 days later the sod looks fantastic.

I am super happy. Really high quality green sod. Super professional company to work with. Installed on schedule by a hard working crew. We bought a house where the yard had been neglected and so we needed to start over with new sod. Green Valley Turf tore out what was their, weeds, etc., performed what is called rough grading, a fine grading, fertilizer, and then put down the new sod. It looks great. They also installed fabric, mulch, and edging exactly as I specified. You can rest assured you will be happy if you choose these guys.

Great response time, estimator showed up at my home the day I called! Then they were able to schedule install on the day I requested. The large install (4200 Sq Ft) was completed in a timely professional manner and the product is unquestionable. Ive used GVT several times in the past and would not use another turf company. EXCELLENT!

This is my second time using Green Valley Turf after a great experience the first time two years ago. I needed some touch up work to finish the restoration of my yard. They were very quick in returning my calls and gave me an estimate right away. Their yard crew if phenomenal, professional, and showed up exactly when they said they would. The installation was fascinating to watch as I missed it the first time I used them and they did a great job! The grass matched perfectly and I have been most happy with their services. The job required slightly less than the estimated sq footage and I was not charged for that. I would highly recommend them.

I was just told that it usually takes three (3) days for Green Valley Turf Company to return my call. Really? The receptionist really didnt care & just hung up the phone. I said it really takes 3 days for someone to return my call? and she (Michelle) said yep! and hung up. UN-believeable....UN-reachable. Completely UN-satisfactory. Ill take my business elsewhere, maybe try mile high sod farm, the sod guy, the turf farm.....they are not the only sod farm in town!!

They came out and measured, gave a quote..then were VERY patient with me while I got irrigation lined up (ended up more painful than I expected, my problem not theirs.) I got the irrigation guy on a Tuesday, they were there on Wednesday, got it done in under 2 hours (remove some old turf, new borders, added dirt, grade, around 1000sq ft total), and did a great job cleaning up as well! The crew and leader of it were helpful and fast...and in the end cost about 10% less than the quote! Will use them for any similar work I have in the future...and 2 weeks later, the grass is all looking GREAT!

These folks are top notch! Had them out to our house 3 years ago to give us a quote on sod for our backyard. They were timely, professional and very friendly. My wife and I decided to go with their suggestion (Bluegrass if memory serves) and they had the whole thing knocked out in no time. 3 years later and it is as green and beautiful as ever.

Unbelievable. I expected this job to take a few hours, they arrived at 7:05am and drove away at 8:05am. The job leader was professional and answered all my questions and had his crew do an excellent clean-up. Secondly I have never had a wrong quote go my way. I told GVT that I had much more space than I actually did, about 1.5 hours after the job was done I got my invoice for a much less amount than the quote. I was told that if I didnt use it, I didnt pay for it. If I need this service again, I will call GVT first. Thank you, Mark
